Parsha D’varim – Words

Parsha D’varim – Words
D’varim 1:1-3 :22
YesYahu 1:1-27, 1st Timothy 3 :1-7
                                                 Daniel ben Ya’acov Isarel

We are now starting the last book of the Torah. This book is not to be taken as a sole repetition of the others, but much more to impart the new generation born in the wilderness of those who were under twenty when they left Egypt........
This book should be read in very special context, because it is another covenant fully separated from the covenant made at Mount Sinai.
This book must be read in the context of Sha’ul/Paul’s words:
Col 2:13  And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses,
Col 2:14  having blotted out the certificate of debt against us – by the dogmas – which stood against us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the stake.
I urge you brethren, before you say something, to study this book and you will discover why the beloved Sha’ul understood that this book stand against us.
I have looked many times at this verses and had different view as conclusion, but there is only one possible answer. This answer is again given us by Sha’ul in the book of Galatians:
Gal 3:13  Messiah redeemed us from the curse of the Torah, having become a curse for us – for it has been written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs upon a tree.”
You may have to struggle to find the answer, but the proof is undeniable and will change your view on the matter, as it did to me. If we don’t know which curse was upon us and why it was upon us, how can we understand the work of Yehoshua on the stake?
Before we go further, the answer is not in this parasha, but is to be find later.
The all book of d’varim (words) is what change the Mount Sinai covenant. Mashiach will have to come in order to restore all things.
If you remember Moshe passed the authority to Yehoshua son of Nun (Joshua) and the conclusion of Moshe’s life was already given in the book of Badmidbar (Number):

Num 33:50  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh in the desert plains of Mo’aḇ by the Yardĕn of Yeriḥo, saying,
Num 33:51  “Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, and say to them, ‘When you have passed over the Yardĕn into the land of Kenaʽan,
Num 33:52  then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and shall destroy all their engraved stones, and shall destroy all their moulded images, and lay waste all their high places,
Num 33:53  and you shall possess the land and dwell in it, for I have given you the land to possess.
Num 33:54  ‘And you shall divide the land by lot as an inheritance among your clans. To the larger you give a larger inheritance, and to the smaller you give a smaller inheritance. Wherever the lot falls to anyone, that is his. You inherit according to the tribes of your fathers.

The conclusion of the book of Number:
Num 36:13
These are the commands and the right-rulings which יהוה commanded the children of Yisra’ĕl by the hand of Mosheh in the desert plains of Mo’aḇ by the Yardĕn of Yeriḥo.

Sometimes the Jews call this book "the book of reproofs", because there are in it several sharp reproofs of the people of Israel for their rebellion and disobedience; and so the Targums of Jonathan and Jerusalem begin it by calling it “the words of reproof which Moses spake”, &c. That this book was written by Moses there can be no doubt, from Deu_1:1, only the eight last verses, which give an account of his death, and of his character, were wrote by another hand, equally inspired by God, as either Eleazar the priest, as some, or Samuel the prophet, as others; or, as it is the more commonly received opinion of the Jews, Ezra; though it is highly probable they were wrote by Joshua his successor. This book was written and delivered by Moses, at certain times in the last month of his life. (Gill)......................
Deu 1:1-46 These are the words which Mosheh spoke to all Yisra’ĕl beyond the Yardĕn in the wilderness, in the desert plain opposite Suph, between Paran and Tophel, and Laḇan, and Ḥatsĕroth, and Di Zahaḇ, ...........
This Parasha give its name to the all last book of the Torah of Moshe. Words, dabar in Hebrew, written: dalet (4), beth (2), resh(200) (total 206):
dabar: Strong’s # 1696 A primitive root; perhaps properly to arrange; but used figuratively (of words) to speak; rarely (in a destructive sense) to subdue: - answer, appoint, bid, command, commune, declare, destroy, give, name, promise, pronounce, rehearse, say, speak, be spokesman, subdue, talk, teach, tell, ..........
Deu 1:1 These are the words (dabarim) which Mosheh spoke to all Yisra’ĕl beyond the Yardĕn in the wilderness, in the desert plain opposite Suph, between Paran and Tophel, and Laḇan, and Ḥatsĕroth, and Di Zahaḇ, ..........
Moshe spake this word to the children of Israel (carnal man) just before he died, verse 3 in the fortieth year in the eleven month. Just before the children of Israel (carnal man) crossed the Yarden. .......
Moshe was told of יהוה that his time to die was come and the verse 3 give us the details “in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first of the month”. These are the very last days of Moshe on earth. He will now use this time to give more details to the children of Israel and also for the generation to come after them, still valid today for those who read......
Let us start with a map, remember what we read in the parashamasei” the forty two camps in the wilderness and try to figure out
these journeys:

It is amazing to see that between Horeb and Qadesh Barnea it was only eleven day’s journey, and it took forty years to the children of Israel (carnal man) to make it. Not without suffering and the lost of all their family who were above twenty years old when they left Egypt. Remember eleven is the divine number for un-completion. Andrew Harris gives an interesting explanation:” Eleven is perfect organization (Ten) plus one more, one extra. One more than required, an extra measure, something more than only what is required. Eleven is the number of revelation (it is the number used in the occult, Illuminati, Massonry, etc….).

The first time eleven is mentioned in the scriptures is: B’reshit 32:22:
Gen 32:22 and he(Ya’acov) rose up that night, and took his two wives, and his two slave women, and his eleven sons, and passed over the ford Jabbok........
At this time Rachel was pregnant with Benjamin!”....... The divine organization on earth is mentioned by the number twelve (12 tribes, 12 Apostles, 12 month, 12 foundation in the wall of the city in Revelation 21, twelve gates…).Twelve is more than that, it is also the multiple from four by three (4 x 3), four the number for test and trials and change, three the number for past, present and future, or thoughts, words and action.
Forty is four times Ten (4 x 10). These numbers are present throughout the scriptures as “reminder” and indication for the student that something is “behind” the letter......
ELEVEN. Denotes disorder, disorganization, because it is one short of the number twelve (Bullinger, the Companion Bible).....................
What does יהוה want us to know? The natural/carnal man will not inherit the Kingdom of heaven remember this is Sha’ul saying that as long as we walk in the flesh, we move in circle. The children of Israel turned in circle for forty years. They never stop to complain........
In the wilderness verse 1:
The Hebrew word for wilderness is Stron’s # H4057.....
מדבּר midbâr mid-bawr'  From H1696 in the sense of driving; a pasture (that is, open field, whither cattle are driven); by implication a desert; also speech (including its organs): - desert, south, speech, wilderness.
H1696 dâbar….daw-bar'…..A primitive root; perhaps properly to arrange; but used figuratively (of words) to speak; rarely (in a destructive sense) to subdue: - answer, appoint, bid, command, commune, declare, destroy, give, name, promise, pronounce, rehearse, say, speak, be spokesman, subdue, talk, teach, tell,..
I want to show another way to approach Hebrew understanding with a teaching from Jeff Benner from Ancient Hebrew research center:
First the picture of the word midbar in Paleo-Hebrew: Midbar

Now the explanation:
For forty years God had Israel wander in the 'wilderness'. Insights into why God had chosen the wilderness for their wanderings can be found in the roots of this word. The root word is 'davar' and is most frequently translated as a thing or a word. The original picture painted by this word to the Hebrews is the arrangement of things to create order. Speech is an ordered arrangement of words. In the ancient Hebrew mind words are 'things' and are just as 'real' as food or other 'thing'. When a word is spoken to another it is 'placed in the ears' no different than when food is given to another it is 'placed in the mouth'. The Hebrew name Devorah (Deborah) means 'bee' and is the feminine form of the word davar. Bees are a community of insects which live in a perfectly ordered arrangement. The word 'midvar' meaning wilderness is actually a place that exists as a perfectly arranged order as its ecosystem is in harmony and balance. By placing Israel in this environment he is teaching them balance, order and harmony.

We see clearly in the etymologies of the word that it is in the wilderness that יהוה bring the carnal man in order to speak and subdue it to his word by feeding them with His Torah. This is the palace where we will be able to hear the word and make the difference between Qadosh (set apart) and the secular.
People from the world cannot discern, their mind is fully busy with the things of the world.
Rom 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the matters of the flesh (worldly things), but those who live according to the Spirit, the matters of the Spirit. ...
The children of Israel were busy with the remembrance or their past life in Egypt. In spite of the abusing behaviour of the Egyptians they still regret many times to have left this place.
How it is with us? Do we walk looking forward or do we look back?  We cannot change the past, יהושע has changed our past, but we can have influence on our future.
Not to be stubborn like the children of Israel but to follow יהושע and trust him as the good shepherd (Yochan.10:14-16) to bring us to the quite water, to restore our soul...... Transformation is a progress and do not come so easily. The change comes as we hear the word and let this word penetrate our soul to transform us.
The Word is the Torah, יהושע say in Yochanan 17: Sanctify them (talmidin) through thy word and thy word is true! He was referring to Psalm 119 written by King David:
Psa 119:151 You are near, O יהוה, And all Your commands are truth……
Psa 119:142 Your righteousness is righteousness forever, And Your Torah is truth......
The word is the Torah...... Strong definition on Torah: H8451. תּורה
tôrâh  to-raw',  From H3384; a precept or statute, especially the Decalogue or Pentateuch: - law.
H3384: ירא    ירה yârâh  yârâ' yaw-raw', yaw-raw' Yarah: yod(10), resh (200), he(5) (215)  A primitive root; properly to flow as water (that is, to rain); transitively to lay or throw (especially an arrow, that is, to shoot); figuratively to point out (as if by aiming the finger), to teach: - (+) archer, cast, direct, inform, instruct, lay, shew, shoot, teach (-er, -ing), through.
We look again from Jeff Benner:
Pronunciation: "ToW-RaH"
Meaning: Torah is "what is thrown by the Moreh*". This can be the 'arrow' from the archer or the 'direction' (teachings and instructions) from the teacher. The true Hebraic understanding of "Torah" is "instructions" and "teachings" such as from a father to his children.
Comments: Another noun is formed the same way except that a 'Taw' is placed at the front of the word instead of a 'Mah', we then have the word 'Torah'.
Reference: Proverbs 5:13
* A Moreh is 'one who throws from the hand'. This can be the 'archer' who throws the arrow, or a 'teacher' who throws the finger in the way the student is to go.

We can see that the Torah, it precepts and statutes are instruction how to live a righteous life as the Prophet YeshaYahu write:

Isa 51:7 “Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, a people in whose heart is My Torah: do not fear the reproach of men, nor be afraid of their reviling. ....
Verse 2 from Horeb…...
Horeb = Mount Sinai. Seir is in present day Yarden near Petra.
The study of the Hebrew name will help us to understand many hidden meaning....
Israel went from Horeb which is Mount Sinai and means “waste” to Qadesh Barnea meaning “Set apart , fruitful field” , a reference  to the promise land, crossing the Yarden, a reference to יהוה’s throne and perfect will (Rom. 12:2)..
Is not our life going from waste to become a fruitful fiels?
Verse 1: in the wilderness, in the plain over against the Sea of reed….
Explanation from “Treasury of scriptural knowledge”:
Red Sea: or, Zuph, Or rather, Suph, This could not have been the Red Sea, not only because the word yam, "sea," is not joined with it as usual, but because they were now east of Jordan, and farther from the Red Sea than ever. It seems to be the same which is called Suphah in Num_21:14; which must necessarily signify some place in or adjoining to the plains of Moab, and not far from the Jordan and Arnon. Ptolemy mentions a people called Sophonites that dwelt in Arabia Petrea, who may have taken their name from this place......
This plain is the plain of Moab (Badmidbar 35:1) the place where they committed fornication with the daughter of Moab.
Badmidbar 25:1 and Yisra’ĕl dwelt in Shittim, and the people began to whore with the daughters of Mo’aḇ, ........ Which is by the river Yarden....... Num 33:49 and they camped by the Yardĕn, from Bĕyth Yeshimoth as far as the Aḇĕl Shittim in the desert plains of Mo’aḇ. The Hebrew word for “plain” is Strong’s # H6160....... ערבהărâbâh ar-aw-baw' From H6150 (in the sense of sterility); a desert; especially (with the article prefixed) the (generally) sterile valley of the Jordan and its continuation to the Red Sea: - Arabah, champaign, desert, evening, heaven, plain, wilderness. See also H1026................
H6150 ‛ârab aw-rab'    A primitive root (rather identical with H6148 through the idea of covering with a texture); to grow dusky at sundown: - be darkened, (toward) evening.
Sterility here we can take it of the Word who does not dwell in the heart of the people and they go to commit fornication with the daughter of Moab.
Yochanan says: 1Jn 2:16 because all that is in the world – the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life – is not of the Father but is of the world........
Lust: Strong’s G1939....... ἐπιθυμία epithumia ep-ee-thoo-mee'-ah..... From G1937; a longing (especially for what is forbidden): - concupiscence, desire, lust (after).....
Flesh: Strong’s# G4561 Σάρξ sarx sarx......... Probably from the base of G4563; flesh (as stripped of the skin), that is, (strictly) the meat of an animal (as food), or (by extension) the body (as opposed to the soul (or spirit), or as the symbol of what is external, or as the means of kindred, or (by implication) human nature (with its frailties (physically or morally) and passions), or (specifically) a human being (as such): - carnal (-ly, + -ly minded), flesh ([-ly]).
We see that Yochanan is speaking of the “carnal man” the ones represented by our forefathers in the wilderness! The “carnal man” cannot submit to the Torah!...........
Rom 8:7 becauseG1360 theG3588 carnalG4561 mindG5427 is enmityG2189 againstG1519 Elohim:G2316 forG1063 it is not subjectG5293 G3756 to theG3588 TorahG3551 of Elohim,G2316 neitherG3761 indeedG1063 canG1410 be.....
“Carnal” is here the same Greek word as used in 1Jn 2:16 for “flesh”G4561 “sarx”................;; Sha’ul say that the “carnal mind” is not able to submit to Elohim’s Torah do you realize what

Sha’ul say? There are so many pretenders outside. Christianity boast to be the “spiritual Israel” but when it comes to the Torah, they are unable to keep, and find excuse making “Jesus” the perfect picture of the “anti-messiah”, a liar, because יהושע says that he has not come to abolish the Torah (Matt. 5:17)......
Even our brethren from Yehudah called “Jews” keep the Torah, though they keep it according to the Letter and the doctrine of men (rabbis), they know that the Torah is still for יהוה‘s people today. May יהוה remove the veil from their heart soon and give them the love for Messiah יהושע!
Let us have a look at the different places!
Between Paran: Walking by sight and no by faith ................. “Paran”: walking by sight and not by faith. Lack of faith brings the “amalekites” in our life.
Num 13:3 And by the command of יהוה Mosheh sent them from the Wilderness of Paran, all of them men who were heads of the children of Yisra’ĕl. Num 13:27 and they reported to him, and said, “We went to the land where you sent us. And truly, it flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. Num 13:28 “But the people who dwell in the land are strong, and the cities are walled, very great. And we saw the descendants of Anaq there too. Num 13:29 “The Amalĕqites dwell in the land of the South, while the Ḥittites and the Yeḇusites and the Amorites dwell in the mountains. And the Kenaʽanites dwell by the sea and along the banks of the Yardĕn.”  Num 13:30 And Kalĕḇ silenced the people before Mosheh, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are certainly able to overcome it.” Num 13:31 But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.”
It is in “Paran” that the children of Israel (carnal man) brought an evil report.......
What do the scriptures says:
The just will live by his faith! (Habakkuk 2:4)......
Heb 11:6 but without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to Elohim must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him
Between Paran and Tophel ……….
The map below gives us a better understanding of what happened to our forefathers:
Deu 1:2eleven days from Horeb by way of Mount Seir to Kadesh-barnea”.
(In order to watch the picture comfortably you will have to increase the percentage in the tab up to 150% or more)...

It is of great importance to understand that only eleven days were need to move from Horeb to Kadesh-Barnea as we have seen that 11 is also the number for imperfect governance!
I have read many explanations from scholars how much it is, if done with camel, by walk, loaded with tents and more……
the fact is that the distance was around 200 – 220 miles or around 360 – 380 km, which when done by walk would have been 32 – 34 km per days......
יהוה‘intention is in the number “eleven”, which as we have seen demonstrate the “missing part”, un-completeness which is demonstrate by the number “ONE” representing יהוהEchad” ten plus one or twelve minus one, in both side, we do have the number One lacking. Whenever man try to do something outside יהוה it will fail......
Strong’s # תּפל tôphel to'-fel....... From the same as H8602; quagmire; Tophel, a place near the Desert: - Tophel. ..... H8602 תּפל tâphêl taw-fale'   H8602 תּפל tâphêl taw-fale'  From an unused root meaning to smear; plaster (as gummy) or slime; (figuratively) frivolity: - foolish things, unsavoury, untempered.....
Frivolity, foolish things, un-tempered that is what happened to the children of Israel. The lack of Trust in יהוה pushed them to walk by sight We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.
They forgot all what יהוה did when he took them out of Egypt after having delivered them from the Pharaoh’s hands sending plagues on the Egyptians.......
How it is with us? When pressure is coming, are we also walking by sight or do we keep our peace and wait patiently that יהוה come to our rescue?
Psa 28:7 יהוה is my strength, and my shield; My heart has trusted in Him, and I have been helped; Therefore my heart exults, and with my song I thank Him… Psa 28:8 יהוה is the strength of His people, and He is the stronghold of deliverance of His anointed….. Psa 91:14 “Because he cleaves to Me in love, Therefore I deliver him; I set him on high, Because he has known My Name.
Psa 91:15 “When he calls on Me, I answer him; I am with him in distress; I deliver him and esteem him.
Psa 91:16 “With long life I satisfy him, and show him My deliverance.”
Ḥatsĕroth: ---- Verse 1: and Ḥatsĕroth, and Di Zahaḇ……..
Hatseroth Strong’s # H2698 חצרות chătsêrôth khats-ay-roth'..... Feminine plural of H2691; yards; Chatseroth, a place in Palestine: - Hazeroth....... H2691 From H2690 in its original sense; a yard (as inclosed by a fence); also a hamlet (as similarly surrounded with walls): - court, tower, village...... Enclosure, which refers to Myriam’s rebellion ....... Num 11:35 From Qiḇroth Hatta’awah the people set out for Ḥatsĕroth – and they were at Ḥatsĕroth...... Num 12:1 now Miryam and Aharon spoke against Mosheh because of the Kushite woman whom he had taken, for he had taken a Kushite woman.
Num 12:15 and Miryam was shut out of the camp seven days, and the people did not set out until Miryam was readmitted. ...... Num 12:16 and afterward the people departed from Ḥatsĕroth, and they camped in the Wilderness of Paran........
Critic against יהוה anointed is very dangerous. The Hebrew word used for “leprosy” is the Hebrew word .......
Strong’s # H6879 צרע tsâratsaw-rah'....... A primitive root; to scourge, that is, (intransitively and figuratively) to be stricken with leprosy: - leper, leprous...... This is not the leprosy as we know today in some countries, a sickness who destroy the part of the body’s

members. The word Tsara is better understood by psoriasis” a plague which many are under bondage in our world today!
Here the “Tsara” was from יהוה and could be cleaned not healed יהושע the anointed One was able to clean those plagued with “tsara, psoriasis”:
Mat 8:1 and when He came down from the mountain, large crowds followed Him. ..... Mat 8:2 and see, a leper came, and bowed before Him, saying, “Master, if You desire, You are able to make me clean.” Mat 8:3 and stretching out His hand יהושע touched him, saying, “I desire it. Be cleansed!” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Di-Zhab: --- Di Zahab: Strong’s # H1774 דּי זהב dîy zâhâb dee zaw-hawb'..... As if from H1768 and H2091; of gold; Dizahab, a place in the Desert: - Dizahab..... H2091 zâhâb zaw-hawb'  From an unused root meaning to shimmer; gold; figuratively something gold colored (that is, yellow), as oil, a clear sky: - gold (-en), fair weather............ יהוה gave gold to the children of Israel and they used it for idolatry ......
Moshe recalls in the year of the remnant of the children of Israel (carnal man), the reason of been forty years in the wilderness instead of having reach the promise land in a short time. Each of the camp indicates the spiritual conditions of our forefather and may be ours also, as we have seen in the preceding “parasha” “Masei”......
Deu 1:2 eleven days’ journey from Ḥorĕḇ by way of Mount Sĕʽir to Qaḏĕsh Barnĕa. ..... Eleven day’s journey from Horeb to Qadesh Barnea…..
Have you ever heard this question: How long will I stay in this situation?
Many times we come into situation and stay there for a while. We should know that every situation we are going through in life, have their own purpose, every believer will go in the wilderness to be tested and will learn to lay down everything in order to be transformed and made acceptable for the Kingdom.
Rom 8:28 And we know that all matters work together for good to those who love Elohim, to those who are called according to His purpose.
It could have been a short trip to go from Mount Sinai after having received the Torah, The marriage covenant. Rebellion made things becoming hard and it took forty years to come to the place. Those who were 20 years and above died in the wilderness, save Caleb and Yohushua!
Sha’ul explain this in very clear words......
Heb 3:7 Therefore, as the Set-apart Spirit says, “Today, if you hear His voice, ...... Heb 3:8 do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness, ..... Heb 3:9 where your fathers tried Me (Elohim), proved Me, and saw My works forty years. Heb 3:10 “Therefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, ‘they always go astray in their heart, and they have not known My ways.’ Heb 3:11 “As I swore in My wrath, ‘If they shall enter into My rest (resting, abode,i.e. Eretz Israel!)...
Exhortation from   Psa 95:7 for He is our Elohim, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. Today, if you would hear His voice:        Psa 95:8Do not harden your hearts as in Meriḇah, and as in the day of Massah in the wilderness,  Psa 95:9 “When your fathers tried Me, Have proved Me, though they saw My work.  Psa 95:10 “For forty years I was grieved with that generation, And said, ‘They are a people who go astray in their hearts, and they do not know My ways.’  Psa 95:11 “As I swore in My wrath, ‘If they enter into My rest...’
Sha'ul goes on saying:
Heb 3:14 for we have become partakers of Messiah if we hold fast the beginning of our trust firm to the end,
Heb 3:15 while it is said, “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”
Heb 3:16 for who, having heard, rebelled? Was it not all who came out of Mitsrayim, led by Mosheh?
Heb 3:17 and with whom was He grieved forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness?
Heb 3:18 and to whom did He swear that they would not enter into His rest, but to those who did not obey?
Heb 3:19 So we see that they were unable to enter in because of unbelief.
The reason of all this struggle was: UNBELIEF:
Strong’s G570 apistia ap-is-tee'-ah..... From G571; faithlessness, that is, (negatively) disbelief (want of faith), or (positively) unfaithfulness (disobedience): - unbelief.   G571 apistos ap'-is-tos   From G1 (as a negative particle) and G4103; (actively) disbelieving, that is, without faith (specifically a heathen); (passively) untrustworthy (person), or incredible (thing): - that believeth not, faithless, incredible thing, infidel, unbeliever (-ing).
Deu 1:3 and it came to be in the fortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Mosheh spoke to the children of Yisra’ĕl according to all that יהוה had commanded him concerning them,
In the eleventh month, on the first day of the month; it was the month of Shevet……….
Actually month never had name given by יהוה, they were given during the Babylonian captivity. Month were quoted in their order, first, second, third and so on….
Many tradition came with the captivity in Babylon and influenced the understanding of the Yehudin (Jews). Today even in messianic movement, most of the assemblies have also adapted many of this man’ tradition….. It seems to be like a reminder according to all what was passed. Now we have the new generation, those who were either younger as twenty when they came out of Egypt or were born in the wilderness.
יהוה will have always a remnant that will follow him. He has made a promise to Abraham and will fulfill it. Moshe knew, the time of his departure has come near and he must give the last word to the children of Israel. It is interesting to see how many details are given. People that do not know the scriptures, many times will speak foolishly. The record is clear and if we take time to read and make research in the Torah itself we will see the cohesion and consistency of the scripture. The Torah is not for unbelievers or for those who reject the Torah. They are blind and can only see the “story”…… Only יהושע will bring us by the Ruach of יהוה to get understanding (binah in Hebrew). By prayer and meditation, trusting יהוה to unveil the beauty of the word, hidden behind the garment of the letter, we will discover the deeper meaning.
Deu 1:5 beyond the Yardĕn, in the land of Mo’aḇ, Mosheh undertook to declare this Torah, saying,......
The King James says: On this side Jordan ………
Strong’s H5676 עברêber ay'-ber...... From H5674; properly a region across; but used only adverbially (with or without a preposition) on the opposite side (especially of the Jordan; usually meaning the east): -  X against, beyond, by, X from, over, passage, quarter, (other, this) side, straight...... On the opposite side Yarden....... H3383 ירדּן yardên yar-dane' From H3381; a descender; Jarden, the principal river of Palestine: - Jordan...... H3381 yârad yaw-rad' A primitive root; to descend (literally to go downwards; or conventionally to a lower region, as the shore, a boundary, the enemy, etc.; or figuratively to fall); causatively to bring down (in all the above applications): -  X abundantly, bring down, carry down, cast down, (cause to) come (-ing) down, fall (down), get down, go (-ing) down (-ward), hang down, X indeed, let down, light (down), put down (off), (cause to, let) run down, sink, subdue, take down......
There is an interesting teaching in Judaism which explain that for someone to be elevated, he must first lower himself This seems to be in contradiction, the children of Israel came from been forty years in the wilderness and they shall lower themselves?
Remember what יהושע says to his talmidin (disciples):........ Mat 20:26 “But it shall not be so among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you, let him be your servant........ We are all servant of יהוה the Qadosh One of Ysraeland nothing belongs to us.
Psa 24:1 the earth belongs to יהוה, and all that fills it – The world and those who dwell in it…….
Material possession is not bad, but we should always remember that everything we have belongs to the one who has created all things for himself, even you and me……
Verse 7-8 ……
Deu 1:7 ‘Turn and set out on your way, and go into the mountains of the Amorites, and to all the neighbouring places in the desert plain, in the mountains and in the low country, and in the Negeḇ and on the seacoast, to the land of the Kenaʽanites and to Leḇanon, as far as the great river, the River Euphrates. ....... Deu 1:8 ‘See, I have set the land before you. Go in and possess the land which יהוה swore to your fathers, to Aḇraham, to Yitsḥaq, and to Yaʽaqoḇ, to give to them and their seed after them.’ ……
We shouldn’t forget that יהוה promised to our forefathers Abraham, Itzahk and Ya’acov to give them the land. Today we see the all world (i.e. U.N.) forcing Israel to give land to the Palestinians! Do you think they will success?
Is יהוה promise to our forefather still valid?
Mal 3:6 “For I am יהוה, I shall not change1, and you, O sons of Yaʽaqoḇ, shall not come to an end. Footnote: 1Jas. 1:17……..
uk 1:33 “And He יהושע) ) shall reign over the house of Yaʽaqoḇ forever, and there shall be no end to His reign.1 Footnote: 1Verses 32 and 33 confirm the prophecies Ps. 2, Ps. 89:14-34, Isa. 9:7, Isa. 16:5, Jer. 23:3-6, Jer. 30:9, Ezek. 37:24, Dan. 2:44, Dan. 7:18-27, Mic. 5:2-4, Acts 1:6-7, Rev. 11:15.
Forever: Strong’s # G165 αἰών aiōn ahee-ohn'....... From the same as G104; properly an age; by extension perpetuity (also past); by implication the world; specifically (Jewish) a Messianic period (present or future): - age, course, eternal, (for) ever (-more), [n-]ever, (beginning of the, while the) world (began, without end). Compare G5550.......
That is the millennium reign of Messiah!....... The control of the land has been be only under King David and King Sh’lomo, it is larger as the portion given in Bdamidbar 3……
Deu 1:10יהוה your Elohim has increased you, and see, you are today as numerous as the stars of the heavens.
This was one of the fulfillment of the promise יהוה did to Abram…… Gen 15:5 And He (יהוה) brought him (Abram) outside and said, “Look now toward the heavens, and count the stars if you are able to count them.” And He said to him, “So are your seed.” ......
Verse 17
Deu 1:17Do not show partiality in right-ruling, hear the small as well as the great. Do not be afraid of anyone’s face, for the right-ruling belongs to Elohim. and the case which is too hard for you, bring it to me, and I shall hear it.
Compare what Moshe told the children of Israel in:...... Lev 19:15 ‘Do no unrighteousness in right-ruling. Do not be partial to the poor or favour the face of the great, but rightly rule your neighbour in righteousness. .......
Now Moshe goes on to trace again the way they went through the wilderness from the day they left Egypt. Remember many were born in the Wilderness and didn’t know about the mighty things Elohim did......
Are we not also those born in Egypt (world system) and brought in the “wilderness of life”?
Deu 1:13Choose men, wise and understanding (compare with what Sha'ul told Timothy in 1st Timot.3:1-7) , and known to your tribes, and let me appoint them as your heads.’ .......Deu 1:14 “And you answered me and said, ‘The word which you have spoken to us to do is good.’ .... Deu 1:15 “And I took the heads of your tribes, wise men and known, and made them heads over you, leaders of thousands, and leaders of hundreds, and leaders of fifties, and leaders of tens, and officers for your tribes. Deu 1:16 “And I commanded your judges at that time, saying, ‘When hearing between your brothers, judge righteously between a man and his brother or the stranger who is with him. .... Deu 1:17Do not show partiality in right-ruling, hear the small as well as the great. Do not be afraid of anyone’s face, for the right-ruling belongs to Elohim. And the case which is too hard for you, bring it to me, and I shall hear it.’
Moshe appointed rules over the children of Israel.
The Judge: Strong’s # 8199 שׁפט shâphaṭ shaw-fat'
A primitive root; to judge, that is, pronounce sentence (for or against); by implication to vindicate or punish; by extension to govern; passively to litigate (literally or figuratively): -  + avenge, X that condemn, contend, defend, execute (judgment), (be a) judge (-ment), X needs, plead, reason, rule.......
It is important to understand the role of the judges. They were the mediators between Elohim and men in the community. When we read the psalm 82 it helps us to understand who are this “Elohim” or “gods” as it is written in the King James. Let us look at this psalm:
Psa 82:1 Elohim stands in the congregation of Ěl; He judges in the midst of the elohim.
Psa 82:2 How long would you judge perversely, and show partiality to the wrong? Selah...... Psa 82:3 Give right-ruling to the poor and fatherless, Do right to the afflicted and needy..... Psa 82:4 Rescue the poor and needy; Deliver them from the hand of the wrong..... Psa 82:5 They do not know nor do they understand, they walk about in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are shaken...... Psa 82:6 I, I said, “You are elohim, and all of you are sons of the Most High..... Psa 82:7 “But as men you die, and fall as one of the heads.”
Psa 82:8 Arise, O Elohim, judge the earth, for You shall possess all the nations.....
Who were those judging perversely, showing partiality to the wrong?
Ezr 7:25 and you, Ezra, according to the wisdom of your Eloah that is in your hand, appoint magistrates and judges to judge all the people who are beyond the River, all such as know the laws of your Eloah. And teach those who do not know them.
Isa 1:17 “Learn to do good! Seek right-ruling, reprove the oppressor, defend the fatherless, plead for the widow.....
Jer 5:28 They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge.
Amo 2:3 “And I shall cut off the judge from its midst, and slay all its heads with him,” said יהוה ……
Elohim judges in the midst of Elohim! Do you remember what יהושע answered the religious Yehudin?
Joh 10:33 the Yehuḏim answered Him, saying, “We do not stone You for a good work, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself Elohim.” ........ Joh 10:34 יהושע answered them, “Is it not written in your own Torah, ‘I said, “You are elohim” ’?Joh 10:35 “If He called them elohim, to whom the word of Elohim came – and it is impossible for the Scripture to be broken…….
The Yehudin didn’t say:” You being a man make yourself יהוה “! No they say “Elohim”. Many times in the mind of some they mix, “G-d” and “L-rd” thus misinterpreting scriptures…… יהושע was referring to Psalm 82.: I have said “You are elohim, and all of you are sons of the Most High, but as men you die, and fall as one of the heads
In Sh’mot 21: 6 we see the world judges ..... KJV. Exo 21:6 Then his masterH113 shall bringH5066 him untoH413 the judges;H430 he shall also bringH5066 him toH413 the door,H1817 orH176 untoH413 the door post;H4201 and his masterH113 shall bore his ear throughH7527 (H853) H241 with an aul;H4836 and he shall serveH5647 him for ever.H5769 Only recent translation brings the right word as found in the Douay-Rheims Bible and some German translation. The King James caught the spiritual meaning according to Psalm 82: ---- Exo 21:6 then his master shall bring him before Elohim, and shall bring him to the door, or to the doorpost, and his master shall pierce his ear with an awl. And he shall serve him forever.............
We see here the word is judges with the strong’s # H430 אלהים 'ĕlôhîym el-o-heem'...... Plural of H433; gods in the ordinary sense; but specifically used (in the plural thus, especially with the article) of the supreme God; occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates; and sometimes as a superlative: - angels, X exceeding, God (gods) (-dess, -ly), X (very) great, judges, X mighty.......
The Judges were acting direct under יהוה’s authority which is the Torah. Unfortunately we read in the Psalm 82 and in many other places that they misused their positions......
1Ti 2:5 For there is one Elohim,1 and one Mediator between Elohim and men, the Man Messiah יהושע, ….Footnote: 11 Cor. 8:6, Eph. 4:6, Mk. 12:29-34……..
Moshe will go on to tell the children of Israel concerning the wandering from their fathers ...... 1:26-28, I will quote from Nathan from the Hoshanna Raba congregation:” Many times in our spiritual walk we are just at the point of spiritual breakthrough, but we receive an evil report about the giants of the land and our resolve to go forward melts. If we could just see what lies ahead of us how much easier it would be to go forward! Yet Yeshua said, blessed are those who haven’t seen, yet still believe in YHVH’s promises (John 20:29). Do you have what it takes to go on without being deterred by the world, the flesh and the devil? How can one go forward in faith if one cannot see where one is going? It gets down to personal and intimate relationship with your Heavenly Father, through Yeshua. He directs us through his Spirit. Can you hear his voice with your spirit when he tells you, “This is the way, walk you in it?” (Isa. 30:21)……
Chapter 2:
Deu 2:1-37 “Then we turned and set out into the wilderness, the way of the Sea of Reeds, as יהוה spoke to me, and we went round Mount Sĕʽir, many days.

Nathan Lawrence goes on speaking from Esau, Ammon and Moab:
2:2-9, Edom (Esau, brother of Jacob) and Moab and Ammon (sons of Lot) were blood relatives of the Israelites. Often those of our own family will stand in our way as we go in to possess our spiritual, God-given inheritance and spiritual destiny. What is the lesson from this passage of Scripture on how to deal with less than cooperative family members who fail to recognize the calling on your life? Are we to make war with them? Are we in any way to be beholden to or dependent on them for our physical needs? If we became dependent upon them could this help or hinder our chances of entering our Promised Land? Does YHVH desire our families to be saved? (Acts 16:31; 2 Peter 3:9) How can we be a light to our families if we are fighting and attempting to destroy those who would spiritually stand in our way?
We know that Esau, Moab and Ammon will be judge, but this is יהוה’s judgment not the children of Israel. The pertinent question from Nathan concerning our family members is important. I went through my own family who do not understand the life I live and do not want to hear about it! Many years it was a struggle for me, I thought I was not able to bring them the word. I encounter similar situation when I went to Asia and there spoke to people. Some came and began to walk in the Torah. For other in the same family they kept their Roman Catholic traditions....... What shall we do?
Sha’ul write to Timothy: ---- 1Ti 2:1 First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be made for all men, ..... 1Ti 2:2 for sovereigns and all those who are in authority, in order that we lead a calm and peaceable life in all reverence and seriousness. ...... 1Ti 2:3 for this is good and acceptable before Elohim our Saviour, ..... 1Ti 2:4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. .....
Salvation is not in the power of man, it is the sole decision of יהוה who know the heart of man. We understand that we shall pray and make petitions before יהוה’s throne. It is his will that every man shall be saved. He alone is judge we shouldn’t look at our families like mere people, but creature from Elohim. He gave life to every human being, and he alone knows the heart of man (YirmeYahu 17:10).As long as they don’ hinder us to walk in the truth, we shall be patient and kind to them, that they may see the goodness of Elohim. (Romans 2:4).If you come to France today you will see a strange spirit. We have now a mixed culture which didn’t existed years ago, not so far. It took only 30 years to transform the Society and culture. Today we have a Roman Catholic majority and a minority of Muslim. This Muslim minority is not to underestimate, they are millions. They brought their culture, built their Mosques People will tell you that France is a “laic“ Country which accept the belief of every people but separate it from the political system...... Isa 1:7 Your land is laid waste, your cities are burned with fire, strangers devour your land in your presence. and it is laid waste, as overthrown by strangers.....
I quote again from Nathan Laurence concerning America, which also apply to many Countries, especially the so called rich ones: “1:7, your land … is overcome by strangers. Two major issues are facing America (and other nations, Daniel add) right now: the threat of Islam and the millions of illegal aliens that live in our land. Our political leaders would have us to believe that this is a blessing. But what does Isaiah have to say about this condition? For him, it is clearly a hallmark of a sinful nation...... France is a country build on a Judeo-Christian tradition, with all its conflicts and manipulation. Since the French revolution, Elohim has been rejected from the midst of the people and the goddess of reason “Marianne” is today proudly in the mouth of many who celebrate July 14 as a feast of “liberty” which was win with the death of millions of people.

We know that during the Diaspora of the ten tribes, not only of the Yehudin. Many have settled in France. Year Daviddi in one of his book explains how majority from the Reubenites have occupied France and prospered it. Many other came? Rachi one of the famous Yehudin Rabbi lived in the years 1100 in Alsace where he was occupied with wine. The country was filled with many of them. If you scrutinize French history you will see that before 1789, this country was really powerful. After the revolution France has never again been the country it was before. The reason is very simple. Were Elohim is rejected there is no blessing. Today we see that this condition has gained the all world. People speak about “God” but go their own way. Only a remnant is faithful to the Torah, those who have been called by יהוה himself. Most of them were hidden in the “church” until יהוה called them out. They recognized the call and turned back to the truth (T’shuva). Prayer must be done that those who are the called and still struggle may come out of the world to enter יהוה’ s family.
Deu 2:3You have gone around this mountain long enough, turn northward. ..... Deu 2:7 “For יהוה your Elohim has blessed you in all the work of your hand. He has known your wandering through this great wilderness. These forty years יהוה your Elohim has been with you, you have not lacked any matter.”
In spite of the entire struggle the children of Israel underwent they lacked nothing. Here again we see the kindness of יהוה who protected His people. We should learn for ourselves that יהוה is always with us and will always care for us. Sha'ul write to the Qadosh ones in Philippi...... Php 4:11 Not that I speak concerning need, for I have learned to be content in whatever state I am. .....
Many times we saw the children of Israel complaining for the food, because they ate manna ..... They remembered the food from Egypt...... How it is with us are we also looking back at the food we had before?
May be the circumstances are not yet so easy, but those who wait upon יהוה
Etsyon-Geḇer…………….“And the time we took to come from Qaḏĕsh Barnĕa until we passed over the wadi Zereḏ was thirty-eight years, until all the generation of the men of battle was consumed from the midst of the camp, as יהוה had sworn to them.
Ezion-gebernow Akaba, both were within the territory of Edom; and after making a circuit of its southeastern boundary, the Israelites reached the border of Moab on the southeast of the Salt Sea. They had been forbidden by divine command to molest the Moabites in any way; and this special honor was conferred on that people not on their own account, for they were very wicked, but in virtue of their descent from Lot. (See on Deu_23:3). Their territory comprised the fine country on the south, and partly on the north of the Arnon. They had won it by their arms from the original inhabitants, the Emims, a race, terrible, as their name imports, for physical power and stature (Gen_14:5), in like manner as the Edomites had obtained their settlement by the overthrow of the original occupiers of Seir, the Horims (Gen_14:6), who were troglodytes, or dwellers in caves (made in the Mountain rocky sides). Moses alluded to these circumstances to encourage his countrymen to believe that God would much more enable them to expel the wicked and accursed Canaanites. At that time, however, the Moabites, having lost the greater part of their possessions through the usurpations of Sihon, were reduced to the small but fertile region between the Zered and the Arnon.(Jamieson Fausset, Brown)......
For this reason Israel was to remove from the desert of Moab (i.e., the desert which bounded Moabitis on the east), and to cross over the brook Zered, to advance against the country of the Amorites (see at Num_21:12-13). This occurred thirty-eight years after the

condemnation of the people at Kadesh (Num_14:23, Num_14:29), when the generation ..... rejected by God had entirely died out (תָּמַם, to be all gone, to disappear), so that not one of them saw the promised land. They did not all die a natural death, however, but “the hand of יהוה was against them to destroy them” (הָמַם, lit., to throw into confusion, then used with special reference to the terrors with which יהוה destroyed His enemies; Exo_14:24; Exo_23:27, etc.), sc., by extraordinary judgments (as in Num_16:35; Num_18:1; Num_21:6; Num_25:9)
What does Sha’ul say?
Heb 3:8 do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness, ..... Heb 3:9 where your fathers tried Me, proved Me, and saw My works forty years.
Heb 3:10 “Therefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, and they have not known My ways.’ ....
Heb 3:11 “As I swore in My wrath, ‘If they shall enter into My rest...’ ”1 Footnote: 1Ps. 95:7-11. .....
Heb 3:12 look out, brothers, lest there be in any of you a wicked heart of unbelief in falling away from the living Elohim, .....
Heb 3:13 but encourage one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened by the deceivableness of sin. ......
Heb 3:16 for who, having heard, rebelled? Was it not all who came out of Mitsrayim, led by Mosheh?
Heb 3:17 and with whom was He grieved forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness?
Heb 3:18 and to whom did He swear that they would not enter into His rest (Ertez Ysrael), but to those who did not obey?
Heb 3:19 so we see that they were unable to enter in because of unbelief. ......
Unbelief: Strong’s G570 ἀπιστία apistia ap-is-tee'-ah.......  From G571; faithlessness, that is, (negatively) disbelief (want of faith), or (positively) unfaithfulness (disobedience): - unbelief......  Do not think that faith is just automatic, it is a substance which comes in our heart when we decide on what יהוה says in the Torah and the scriptures and not what the circumstances say. Faith is a decision of the heart.
Chapter 3:
Deu 3:1-29 “Then we turned and went up the way to Bashan. And Oḡ sovereign of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Eḏreʽi.

Verses 1-9:
The Help of God in the Conquest of the Kingdom of Og of Bashan. - Deu_3:1. After the defeat of king Sihon and the conquest of his land, the Israelites were able to advance to the Jordan. But as the powerful Amoritish king Og still held the northern half of Gilead and all Bashan, they proceeded northwards at once and took the road to Bashan, that they might also defeat this king, whom YHWH had likewise given into their hand, and conquer his country (cf. Num_21:33-34). They smote him at Edrei, the modern Draà, without leaving him even a remnant; and took all his towns, i.e., as is here more fully stated in Deu_3:4., “sixty towns, the whole region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.” These three definitions refer to one and the same country. The whole region of Argob included the sixty towns which formed the kingdom of Og in Bashan, i.e., all the towns of the land of Bashan, viz., (according to Deu_3:5) all the fortified towns, besides the unfortified and open country towns of Bashan. חֶבֶל, the chain for measuring, then the land or country measured with the chain. The name “region of Argob,” which is given to the country of Bashan here, and in Deu_3:4, Deu_3:13, Deu_3:14, and also in 1Ki_4:13, is probably derived from רְגֹוב, stone-heaps, related to רֶגֶב, a clump or clod of earth (Job_21:33; Job_38:38). (Keil and Delitsch).........

Bashan: Bashan, one of the most fertile districts of the Holy Land, was bounded on the west by the Jordan and lake of Gennesareth, on the east by Trachonitis, on the south by the brook Jabbok, and on the north by mount Hermon; and seems to have been composed of two or

three districts, on the south the land of Gilead, on the north the region of Argob, and east of both, the plain of Hauran. (See note on Deu_3:13, see note on Deu_3:14, and see note on Deu_3:15.) The scenery of this elevated tract is described by Mr. Buckingham as extremely beautiful. Its plains covered with a fertile soil; its hills covered with forests, and at every new turn presenting the most beautiful landscapes that can be imagined (Treasury of scriptural knowledge-TSK) ....... The brook of Jabbok

3:11.(Keil and Delitzsch)
Even in Abraham's time, the giant tribe of Rephaim was living in Bashan (Gen_14:5). But out of the remnant of these, king Og, whom the Israelites defeated and slew, was the only one left. For the purpose of recalling the greatness of the grace of God that had been manifested in that victory, and not merely to establish the credibility of the statements concerning the size of Og (“just as things belonging to an age that has long passed away are shown to be credible by their remains,” Spinoza, etc.), Moses points to the iron bed of this king, which was still in Rabbath-Ammon, and was nine cubits (8-9 feet) long and four broad, “after the cubit of a man,” i.e., the ordinary cubit in common use (see the analogous expression, “a man's pen,” Isa_8:1). הֲלֹה, for הֲלֹא, synonymous with הִנֵּה. There is nothing to amaze is in the size of the bed or bedstead given here. The ordinary Hebrew cubit was only a foot and a half, probably only eighteen Dresden inches (see my Archäologie, ii. p. 126, Anm. 4). Now a bed is always larger than the man who sleeps in it. But in this case Clericus fancies that Og “intentionally exceeded the necessary size, in order that posterity might be led to draw more magnificent conclusions from the size of the bed, as to the stature of the man who was accustomed to sleep in it.”.
(Note: “It will often be found, that very tall people are disposed to make themselves appear even taller than they actually are” (Hengstenberg, Diss. ii. p. 201). Moreover, there are still giants who are eight feet high and upwards. “According to the N. Preuss. Zeit. of 1857, there came a man to Berlin 8 feet 4 inches high, and possibly still growing, as he was only twenty years old; and he was said to have a great-uncle who was nine inches taller” (Schultz).)
Moses might then refer to this gigantic bed of Og, which was known to the Israelites; and there is no reason for resorting to the improbable conjecture, that the Ammonites had taken possession of a bed of king Og upon some expedition against the Amorites, and had carried it off as a trophy to their capital.....  Rabbath of the sons of Ammon,” or briefly Rabbah, i.e., the great (Jos_13:25; 2Sa_11:1), was the capital of the Ammonites, afterwards called Philadelphia, probably from Ptolemaeus Philadelphus; by Polybius, Ῥαββατάμανα; by Abulfeda, Ammân, which is the name still given to the uninhabited ruins on the Nahr Ammân, i.e., the upper Jabbok (see Burckhardt, pp. 612ff. and v. Raumer, Pal. p. 268).

HAFTORAH
YeshaYahu : 1-27

YeshaYahu= יהוה Save.
I will take some commentaries to bring more light in this passage. At this time Israel, both Kingdoms are living in sins. Do no forget that spiritual principles apply to other nations today. יהוה
reigns over all the earth (Psalm 24:1)
It is not a past “story” as things repeat themselves Sholomo write in the book of Qohelet
Ecc 1:9 What has been is what shall be, what has been done is what shall be done, and there is no new matter under the sun. ......
Ecc 1:10 Is there a matter of which it is said, “See, this is new”? It was here already, long ago.
Ecc 1:11 There is no remembrance of former ones, nor is there any remembrance of those that are to come by those who come later on.
Punishment and reward are still based on the same principle. The so called “Great nation” forgot that they have been blessed by יהוה and have become arrogant and proud. Two attributes which makes men forget that they are servants................
Quotation from Keil & Delitzsch on their commentary on O.T..........  Isaiah is called the “son of Amoz.” There is no force in the old Jewish doctrine (b. Megilla 15a), which was known to
the fathers, that whenever the name of a prophet's father is given, it is a proof that the father was also a prophet. And we are just as incredulous about another old tradition, to the effect that Amoz was the brother of Amaziah, the father and predecessor of Uzziah (b. Sota 10b). There is some significance in this tradition, however, even if it is not true. There is something royal in the nature and bearing of Isaiah throughout. He speaks to kings as if he himself were a king. He confronts with majesty the magnates of the nation and of the imperial power. In his peculiar style, he occupies the same place among the prophets as Solomon among the kings..... All that can be affirmed with certainty is, that Isaiah was a native of Jerusalem; for notwithstanding his manifold prophetic missions, we never find him outside Jerusalem. There he lived with his wife and children, and, as we may infer from Isa_22:1, and the mode of his intercourse with king Hezekiah, down in the lower city. And there he laboured under the four kings named in Isa_1:1, viz., Uzziah (who reigned 52 years, 811-759), Jotham (16 years, 759-743), Ahaz (16 years, 743-728), and Hezekiah (29 years, 728-699).
Isa 1:2 Hear, O heavens, and listen, O earth! For יהוה has spoken, “I have reared and brought up children, but they have transgressed against Me. …….
There is a teaching in Judaism that explains as above so below! We cannot separate heaven from earth. Moshe speaking to the children of Israel says:
Deu 30:19 “I have called the heavens and the earth as witnesses today against you*: I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Therefore you shall choose life, so that you live, both you and your seed,......
*Deu 19:15  One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.

Isa 1:3 An ox knows its owner and a donkey its master’s crib – Yisra’ĕl does not know, My people have not understood.”...... Animals know those who feed them, and serve them. Israel didn’t know his Owner they were lost in sin...... Nathan Laurence writes in his commentary: ------- The ox knows its owner. Apostasy and spiritual degradation leads to one place: a complete loss of one’s spiritual identity. One forgets one’s spiritual heritage and relationship with one’s Creator, and becomes, in a sense, worse than an animal (See 2 Pet. 2:12 and Jude 1:10.) As an interesting side note, Scripture states that Israel would become animalistic in its apostate condition as it sought to imitate the heathen nations around it. As a result and in judgment, YHVH would allow Israel to be taken over and swallowed up by the very same nations that Scripture refers to as the beasts of the field. In Deuteronomy 7:22, we see that the term beasts of the field represent the nations of the earth from which Israel was to stay separate (also Jer. 12:9; 27:6; Dan. 7:3). The Children of Israel were scattered or exiled and became meat for or were.
given over to all the beasts of the field (Isa. 56:9; Ezek. 34:5; Hos. 2:12). Scripture likens exiled Ephraim (the Northern Kingdom), who fell into idolatry and mixed with the beast (Gentile) nations, to beasts of the field themselves (Hos. 2:16–19; Acts. 10:12). In the future, YHVH will make a covenant (a marriage betrothal agreement or ketubah) with the beasts of the field (i.e. nations, Hos. 2:18; see also Jer. 31:31–33; cp. Rom. 1:23, 18–25). Can you see America in this? This nation was once a predominately Christian nation, but now many reject and scorn our spiritual heritage. What has been the result of our spiritual and moral declension? What is the current state of Christianity in America compared to the foreign religions and ideologies that have been infiltrating and spreading here? Which one is growing and which one is declining here?
1:4, A sinful nation. The word nation is the Hebrew word goy (Strong’s H1471) meaning gentile or, in a spiritual sense, worldly or secular. This is one of a number of passages in Scripture where Israel is referred to as being gentile. A quick study of this word will bear this fact out. This word is translated in the Tanakh (Hebrew Scriptures) as nation 374 times, as heathen 143 times, as Gentiles 30 times, and people 11 times. Whenever the word gentile is used in the KJV it is the word goy. According to Strong’s Concordance, the meaning of goy is: a foreign nation; hence a Gentile; also (fig.) a troop of animals, or a flight of locusts. According to Gesenius Hebrew-Chaldee Lexicon, the word goy means a people, a confluence of men, and “contextually in holy scripture it is used to refer to the other nations besides Israel, the foes of Israel, and strangers to the true religion of Israel.” There are times when this word refers specifically to Israel (e.g., the descendants of Joseph in general: Gen. 48:19; of the Southern Kingdom of Judah when it forsook Elohim and its covenant with him and became like the surrounding heathen nations: Isa. 1:4; of the Southern Kingdom: Isa. 9:1; of Israel in general: Isa. 26:2; 49:7; Ps. 33:12; Gen. 12:2; 35:11). There are numerous other instances in Scripture where the words goy or goyim are applied to the descendants of Abraham. Scripture’s use of the term is unbiased and lacks any of the pejorative implications that have been applied to the term subsequently (e.g., Gen. 17:4,5,6,16; 18:18; 25:23; 46:3; Exod. 19:6; 33:13; Deut. 4:6,7,8,34; Ezek. 37:22). As already noted, goy simply means people group. The Greek word ethnos (Strong’s G1484) as found in the Apostolic Scriptures is equivalent in meaning to the Hebrew word goyim. ........................  1:5......  Jamieson, Fausset and Brown commentary, we can read
Isa 1:5 Why should you be beaten anymore? You continue in apostasy! All the head is sick, and all the heart faints................  Why — rather, as Vulgate, “On what part.” Image from a body covered all over with marks of blows (Psa_38:3). There is no part in which you have not been smitten....... head ... sick, etc. — not referring, as it is commonly quoted, to their sins, but to the universality of their punishment. However, sin, the moral disease of the head or intellect, and the heart, is doubtless made its own punishment (Pro_1:31; Jer_2:19; Hos_8:11). “Sick,” literally, “is in a state of sickness” [Gesenius]; “has passed into sickness” [Maurer]......  The KJV give it this way:------ Isa 1:5 WhyH5921 H4100 should ye be strickenH5221 any more?H5750 ye will revoltH5627 more and more:H3254 the wholeH3605 headH7218 is sick,H2483 and the wholeH3605 heartH3824 faint.H1742
The word “revolt” is the Hebrew word Strong’s# H5627 סרה sârâh saw-raw'....... From H5493; apostasy, crime; figuratively remission: -  X continual, rebellion, revolt ([-ed]), turn away, wrong....... H5493: sûr  śûr
soor, soor...... A primitive root; to turn off (literally or figuratively): - be [-head], bring, call back, decline, depart, eschew, get [you], go (aside), X grievous, lay away (by), leave undone, be past, pluck away, put (away, down), rebel, remove (to and fro), revolt, X be sour, take (away, off), turn (aside, away, in), withdraw, be without.

Apostasy is rampant. Sha’ul write to the Tessalonians :
2Th 2:3 let no one deceive you in any way, because the falling away (apostasy) is to come first, and the man of lawlessness1 is to be revealed, the son of destruction, Footnote: 1Some texts read sin instead of lawlessness. This man might be the same one we read of in the prophecy in Isa. 14:12 – Hĕlĕl (“Heileil”), meaning “the shining one,” the sovereign of Baḇel........... The King James version give us some details concerning the Greek text..............  2Th 2:3 Let noG3361 manG5100 deceiveG1818 youG5209 byG2596 anyG3367 means:G5158 forG3754 that day shall not come, exceptG3362 there comeG2064 a falling awayG646 first,G4412 andG2532 that manG444 of sinG266 be revealed,G601 theG3588 sonG5207 of perdition;G684
The Greek word for “falling away” is Strong’s # G646 apostasia ap-os-tas-ee'-ah....... Feminine of the same as G647; defection from truth (properly the state), (“apostasy”): - falling away, forsake...... Israel was under apostasy and יהוה is talking to His people through the prophet YeshaYahu. Prophets were sent to turn the heart of the people, back to יהוה. They came to call the people to repentance before punishment fall on them and the land. Punishment could be deleted or removed if the people humbled themselves and return to the truth...... Many times Judgment was proclaimed long time ago before it occurred...... Psa 103:8 יהוה H3068 is mercifulH7349 and gracious,H2587 slowH750 to anger,H639 and plenteousH7227 in mercy.H2617  (KJV).....Psa 103:8 יהוה is compassionate and showing favor, Patient, and great in kindness (The scriptures 1998)……. The Psalmist King David goes on writing :  Psa 103:9 He does not always strive, nor maintain it forever.  Psa 103:10 He has not done to us according to our sins, Nor rewarded us according to our crookednesses.Isa 1:10 Hear the word of יהוה, you rulers of Seḏom; give ear to the Torah of our Elohim, you people of Amorah (Gomohra)! ….. Sodom and Gomorrah where two powerfuls cities. They are well known for their sexual immoralities. But there is something interesting the judgment falling on them. Many people think that today our world is like Sodom and Gomorrah in sexual immorality……  Remember Lot the nephew from Abraham lived there and was “accepted”. He was not sexual immoral. The question is to know what the rules in these two cities were….. The prophet Yechezk’El is speaking to Jerusalem in the chapter 16……………  Eze 16:48As I live,” declares the Master יהוה, “neither your sister Sodom nor her daughters have done as you and your daughters have done.
Eze 16:49See, this was the crookedness of your sister Sodom: She and her daughter had pride, sufficiency of bread, and unconcerned ease. And she did not help the poor and needy. ….. Eze 16:49 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. …….  He prophet is using allegorical images speaking to Jerusalem and compare to Samaria as her sister. ……..  The sin of Sodom was PRIDE, FULNESS OF BREAD, and ABOUNDANCE of ILLNESS and she IGNORED the POOR and NEEDY…….  If we take this is in our time, we will see how it is in this called “Great nations” (US, France, Germany, UK, Canada, Australia) who boast themselves and load people with sins, immorality, promotion of evil is flagrant, good is rejected. The poor are afflicted (i.e. rejected not giving entrance visa to look for a job)……If you come from a so called “poor country” and ask for bread (a job to nourish your family) you will be rejected outside the borders. ……  If you come from one of the “Great Nations” and have good money in your bank account, you can establish yourself, and enjoy the privilege from these Countries……. Read this: Pro 11:1 A false scale is an abomination to יהוה, But a perfect weight is His delight……..יהוה hate different measure, he rejoice in justice and judgment. Today the all world lies in wickdness…… 1Jn 5:19 And we knowG1492 thatG3754 we areG2070 ofG1537 God,G2316 andG2532 theG3588 wholeG3650 worldG2889 liethG2749 inG1722 wickedness.G4190 1Jn 5:19 We know that we are of Elohim, and all the world lies in the wicked one........ May יהוה Eloah of Israel and our Master יהושע be with you as you walk in the Torah, the tree of life.
May YHWH bless you and keep you as you follow Yeshua HaMoschiach in the path of life, the Torah.
