16 Parsha Beschalach – When He sent

16 Parsha Beschalach – When He sent -
Sh’mot 13:17 – 17:16
Shoftim (Judges) 4:4-5:31, Yochanan 6:22-40

            Daniel ben Ya'acov Israel

We are going to dig again in this new parasha with expectation and as student give ourselves to diligently search the scriptures to understand what our heavenly Father want us to know. In the top of the parasha you will find always the quotation from Sha'ul to the Hebrew: Heb 10:1 For the Torah, having a shadow of the good matters to come, and not the image itself of the matters, was never able to make perfect those who draw near with the same slaughter offerings which they offer continually year by year. It is clear from this verse that the Torah was not the End of all things but much more was the shadow of the good matters to come, further it is written that the Torah was never able to make perfect those drawing near by repetition of the same slaughther offering year by year. We understand by this that Elohim's purpose was not fully disclosed during this time. I wish and ask you to take time to understand this, because it will help you to see what Sha'ul understood, remember he says that what he knows is not after the revelation of man:
Gal 1:12 for I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Yehoshua the Messiah. Here we have the key, Sha'ul in all his Epistles wrote under the guidance of the Ruach HaQodesh (Set apart Spirit) and we can find continual and uniform purpose in all his teaching. Regarding his words in Hebrew 10:1, Sha'ul tells other brethren who the image of the matters is:
Rom 10:4 for the Messiah is the end (Greek telos) of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth. The KJV tells us that Messiah is the end of the law (Torah)! If we look in Thayer's Hebrew and Greek dictionary we find following:   G5056 τέλος telos  Thayer Definition:  1) end
1a) termination, the limit at which a thing ceases to be (always of the end of some act or state, but not of the end of a period of time) 1b) the end 1b1) the last in any succession or series 1b2) eternal. 1c) that by which a thing is finished, its close, issue 1d) the end to which all things relate, the aim, purpose . 2) toll, custom (i.e. indirect tax on goods) . Part of Speech: noun neuter - A Related Word by Thayer’s/Strong’s Number: from a primary "tello" (to set out for a definite point or goal). Citing in TDNT: 8:49, 1161 .................
To set out for a definite point or goal. Sha'ul says concerning יהושע:
Rom 10:4 for the Messiah is set out for a definite point or goal of the law (Torah) for righteousness to every one that believeth.
In other words, when one comes to יהושע, he comes to the real purpose of the Torah, because he is the Word embodied and the complete and perfect image of Elohim's purpose. Why do I emphasize this point? The reason is that more and more in the messianic movement neglect the study of the Torah, Shabbat become tradition instead of a sign of the covenant. Sha'ul makes it clear that Torah's study and following יהושע is only one thing.
Why then do we study the Torah? I have written many time the purpose of Torah' study is Fourfold
a) Elohim will for ourlife.
b)To learn historical facts concerning creation and the life and deliverance of our ancestors, including their struggle during the forty years in the wilderness;
c) To learn about our own carnal nature and understand that only through and with the help of Messiah יהושע we can overcome our flesh. Messiah in you the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27)
d) The future time when Messiah will gather יהוה's people from the four corners of the earth to enter the Promise Land as we read in the book of Yohushua (Joshua).
Rom 8:5 for they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit (two groups of people, carnal and spiritual). Rom 8:6 for to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace (nothing to be expected for those who are carnal, but death!).Rom 8:7 because the carnal mind is enmity against YHWH: for it is not subject to the law (Torah) of YHWH, neither indeed can be (It is impossible for the carnal mind to be subject to the Torah).
Rom 8:8 so then they that are in the flesh cannot please YHWH. Rom 8:9 but (conjunction moreover showing that Sha'ul is still on the same subject) ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if (conditional) so be that the Spirit of YHWH dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of the Messiah, he is none of his.(Sha'ul speaks in the conditional: "if so be that the Spirit of YHWH dwell in you", meaning that not all have the Spirit of YHWH. Don't be mistaken Sha'ul is not speaking concerning pagans here!
Rom 8:10 and if the Messiah be in you, the body is dead because of sin (impaled crucified); but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. Rom 8:11 but if the Spirit of him that raised up Yehoshua from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up the Messiah from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Rom 8:12 therefore (because of that), brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. Rom 8:13 for if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. Rom 8:14 for as many as are led by the Spirit of YHWH, they are the sons of YHWH.(once again, not all but many, a certain group of believers)
Sha'ul understood the reason our ancestors couldn't follow after the Torah in opposition to Abraham, Itzahk and Ya'acov. .............
Heb 3:16 for some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. Heb 3:17 but with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness (sin is the transgression of the Torah 1st Yochan.3:4) Heb 3:18 and to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? Heb 3:19 so we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief (not faith, trust in YHWH) ......
Unbelief: Thayer's definition: G570
ἀπιστία apistia 1) unfaithfulness, faithless. 2) want of faith, unbelief. 3) weakness of faith. ...How was it with Abraham?
Just read what Sha'ul writes to the Romans believers concerning Abraham:
Rom 4:18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.(believing according to that which was spoken! did Abraham saw Elohim?). Rom 4:19 and being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb:(Abraham refuse to look at circumstances). Rom 4:20 he staggered not at the promise of YHWH through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to YHWH; Rom 4:21 and being fully persuaded that, what he (Elohim) had promised, he was able also to perform.(no place for doubt in his mind).
We will see in this parasha today how doubt destroys the believer's faith).
Rom 4:22 and therefore (because of his behave) it was imputed to him for righteousness.Rom 4:23 now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;Rom 4:24 but for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Yehoshua our Saviour from the dead;
Can you see what Sha'ul write, not only for Abraham was it written (in the Torah)¸but also for us if we believe on him (Elohim) that raised up Yehoshua our Saviour from the dead.  Moshe is a type of Messiah (Anointed):
Christ (Greek):G5547 Χριστός Christos
Thayer Definition: Christ = “anointed”. 1) Christ was the Messiah, the Son of God. 2) anointed
Moshe was like יהושע anointed to bring the Children of Israel out of Egypt. They saw Moshe, they spoke to him and walked with him daily. They saw the miracles Elohim did by his hand, in spite of that they had not faith and walked in unbelief, and died in the wilderness!  Read what Kefa (Peter) write to the scattered:
1Pe 1:8 whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
Can you see the reverse brought through Messiah יהושע: having not seen, yet (in spite of that) believing………..
The Torah never was given to save any of us, but faith, trust in the only true Elohim, יהוה zebaoth, the Qadosh One of Israel........Torah:
Gen 26:5 because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my Torah (Hebrew)....;;.......
Abraham received the promise more than four hundred years before Moshe gave the Torah to the Children of Israel. At this time Abaraham had been proclaimed righteous by Elohim.
Law: H8451 תּרה  /  תּורה tôrâh
BDB (Brown, Divers, Brigg's definition: 1) law, direction, instruction. 1a) instruction, direction (human or divine). 1a1) body of prophetic teaching 1a2) instruction in Messianic age 1a3) body of priestly direction or instruction. 1a4) body of legal directives. 1b) law. 1b1) law of the burnt offering. 1b2) of special law, codes of law. 1c) custom, manner. 1d) the Deuteronomic or Mosaic Law.
Messianic age is the time we are living now, from the first advent of יהושע until our days! Abraham didn't only believe but also kept the Torah which came already with Adam.as we have seen in other parasha. So what then? Messiah does not bring us back to Moshe, but to Abraham in order that we may receive the blessing:
Gal 3:29 and if ye be the Messiah's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.(the promise done to Abraham).
You will say: "if so, why then study the Torah"? This is indeed a good question. Remember we don't study Torah to be justified but to know our way of life, how to love one another, how to avoid to sin (sin been the transgression of the Torah):
Gal 2:16 knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Yehoshua the Messiah, even we have believed in Yehoshua the Messiah, that we might be justified by the faith of the Messiah, and not by the works of the law (oral law): for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified................
At this time the Pharisee had instituted sets of laws called in Hebrew "ma'aseh HaTorah", work of the Torah canonized as "Pharisic Takanot" which served to justification. There is a very good book on Galatians, from Aviv Mordechai going into details concerning this book to many times falsely interpreted, especially among Christians. This Epistle deals with justification and not with the abolishment of the Torah! If we look to the world today, do you think we will find righteousness, purity, love according to its real meaning, the answer is obvious: NO!  The world system today is an extension of Egypt under Moshe, a microcosm (miniature) of the way to rule people in Pharaoh’s time. So when we study the Torah we see how we can act after the flesh, as did our forefathers (through seed or through faith) and see that our carnal nature will bring us to destruction. Christians today have their own righteousness not even knowing how to avoid sin because they reject the instructions of the Torah; breaking the fourth commandments to remember the Shabbat day, which is a sign between יהוה and his people. It is not limited to this sin! Having their own righteousness, following the doctrines of demons:
2Ti 3:5 having a form of reverence, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away…….2Ti 3:7 ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth……………….2Ti 4:3 for the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;2Ti 4:4 and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.........................
Truth:
Joh 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
Psa 119:140  thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.
Psa 119:160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.
Psa 119:89 for ever, O YHWH, thy word is settled in heaven.................
Word: H1697 דּבר dâbâr.   BDB Definition:  1) Speech word, speaking, thing
1a) speech. 1b) saying, utterance. 1c) word, words. 1d) business, occupation, acts, matter, case, something, manner. ................
The spoken word (dabar) from the beginning (b'reshit), in other words: "all that you (יהוה) have spoken from the very first time is established in the heaven for ever and is the truth!
We could go on with the Brit Chadasha (Renewed Covenant, falsely called New Testament in Christian circle, meaning the "old" has passed and now there is a brand new one), and see the cohesion between the Tanak (i.e. O.T.) and the Brit Chadasha. The Apostles were chosen to teach and expound the Torah to those from the nations (e.g. scattered House of Israel) and those from the nations coming to Israel (e.g. becoming Israelites) by faith in Messiah יהושע. Two groups of people, one new man in Messiah: Israelites!
Now when approaching the Torah we need to see ourselves as true Israelites brought back to the pure belief found in Abraham, through our faith in Messiah יהושע .  Brethren and sisters do not think to neglect the learning of the Torah which is your understanding and knowledge of the truth, Messiah יהושע been the foundation of our faith!
Today's Parsha concerns the departure from the land of slavery (Mitzrayim, Egypt) to the promise Land.
For some of us the word Mitzrayim will sound strange, so let us again look the meaning of it:
Gen 12:14 and it came to pass, that, when Abram was come into Egypt, the Egyptians beheld the woman that she was very fair...........
Egypt: Strong's concordance: H4714 מצרים mitsrayim  mits-rah'-yim
Dual of H4693; Mitsrajim, that is, Upper and Lower Egypt: - Egypt, Egyptians, Mizraim. H4693 mâtsôr maw-tsore'.  The same as H4692 in the sense of a limit; Egypt (as the border of Palestine): - besieged places, defence, fortified.  H4692 mâtsôr  mâtsûr.  maw-tsore', maw-tsoor'    From H6696; something hemming in, that is, (objectively) a mound (of besiegers), (abstractly) a siege, (figuratively) distress; or (subjectively) a fastness: - besieged, bulwark, defence, fenced, fortress, siege, strong (hold), tower..................
We see that the word mitzrayim doesn't mean only Egypt but also the place of oppression and distress, a land like a fortress, a stronghold.  Stronghold is also used by Sha'ul:
2Co 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through Elohim to the pulling down of strongholds;)..........
You may say that the meaning is not the same, but wait before giving a too quick response: Sha'ul is explaining the source of the strongholds:
2Co 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of YHWH, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of the Messiah;
We see that Sha'ul describes these strong holds as imaginations, high thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of YHWH…
Mitzrayim or Egypt was a place of rampant idolatry with magicians acting on the side of Pharaoh who was considered to be "g-d on earth", who never look at the Elohim of Israel, יהוה Zebaoth, remember the parsha Sh'mot¸when Pharaoh looked into his chronicle to see if the name of Elohim could be found among all the Egyptians gods (Book of Yasher chapter 79) 43. and when the king saw this thing, he ordered the book of records that related to the kings of Egypt, to be brought, and they brought the book of records, the chronicles of the kings of Egypt, in which all the idols of Egypt were inscribed, for they thought of
finding therein the name of Yehovah, but they found it not. 44. and Pharaoh said to Moses and Aaron, Behold I have not found the name of your God written in this book, and his name I know not......................
Do you think that today it is different, how many people call the name יהוה or יהושע? They better say " G-d", "L-rd", "Jesus" His name they know not! Those knowing the name are those who have accepted the yoke of the Torah and follow יהושע! Today advisers in the modern Egypt, Mitzaryim the world system (New World Order) are called pastors, bishops, they are welcome in the side of the mighty of the world the rulers of the powerful nations who make laws who blaspheme the truth, proclaiming freedom to the gay, and lesbians, making war for peace in order to set up their own kingdom, advocating evolution instead creation believing G-d in many forms (Allah, Buddha, Krishna, Jesus….) defending all what is contrary to the Torah killing in the name of humanity (i.e. abortion), and much more.
They know not: This expresion is used by Moshe writing the book of b'reshit and by Yeshua in the book of Matthew:
Gen 4:1  And Aḏam knew Ḥawwah his wife, and she conceived and bore Qayin, and said, “I have gained a man from יהוה.”
Mat 7:22  “Many shall say to Me in that day, ‘Master, Master, have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and done many mighty works in Your Name?’
Mat 7:23  “And then I shall declare to them, ‘I never knew you, depart from Me, you who work lawlessness!’
To know  means to have intimate relationship and not just to be "inform about".
Before writing this Parsha, I have read from many sources and will put an accent on doubt in order to understand what יהוה want us to know. I warn the reader, to avoid any doubt, for doubt is from the other side from HaSatan, the enemy, and as you will read there has been always a lot of controversy concerning the Torah and the scriptures. So far that today most of the people reading the “bible” do not believe, but see juts a “story book”. They prefer to believe that man comes from “monkey” calling them our “cousin” from “Darwin’s evolution theory”.:  Heb 3:1 Therefore, set-apart brothers, partakers of the heavenly calling, closely consider the Emissary and High Priest of our confession, Messiah יהושע,  Heb 3:2 who was trustworthy to Him who appointed Him, as also Mosheh in all his house. Heb 3:3 for this One has been deemed worthy of more esteem than Mosheh, as much as He who built the house enjoys more respect than the house. Heb 3:4 for every house is built by someone, but He who built all is Elohim.
Heb 3:5 and Mosheh indeed was trustworthy in all His house as a servant, for a witness of what would be spoken later, Heb 3:6 but Messiah as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the boldness and the boasting of the expectation firm to the end. Heb 3:7 Therefore, as the Set-apart Spirit says, “Today, if you hear His voice, Heb 3:8 do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness, Heb 3:9 where your fathers tried Me, proved Me, and saw My works forty years.
Heb 3:10 “Therefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, and they have not known My ways.’ Heb 3:11 “As I swore in My wrath, ‘If they shall enter into My rest...’ ”1 Footnote: 1Ps. 95:7-11. Heb 3:12 Look out, brothers, lest there be in any of you a wicked heart of unbelief in falling away from the living Elohim, Heb 3:13 but encourage one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened by the deceivableness of sin. Heb 3:14 For we have become partakers of Messiah if we hold fast the beginning of our trust firm to the end, Heb 3:15 while it is said, “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”Heb 3:16 for who, having heard, rebelled? Was it not all who came out of Mitsrayim, led by Mosheh? Heb 3:17 and with whom was He grieved forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness? Heb 3:18 and to whom did He swear that they would not enter into His rest, but to those who did not obey?
Heb 3:19 so we see that they were unable to enter in because of unbelief.
This chapter from the book of Hebrew gives us the context for all those who follow יהושע. I know that many among us walk more according to the tradition of men and just follow other, ignoring the purpose of our walk.
Today let us see to repent and to start to walk as a chosen one, one who is set apart for a purpose, in order to glorify our heavenly Father! The writer from the book to the Hebrew is said to be Sha'ul or one of his follower, due to the writing style of the book and the knowledge of the spiritual interpretation. I know there are many discussions concerning who wrote this book, I will not enter into this wasted time and let the so call expert do it!
The Chapter three gives us the reason why our forefather died in the wilderness: UNBELIEF!  Unbelief is sin reproved by the Ruach HaQodeshJoh 16:8 “And having come, He (Ruach HaQodesh) shall reprove1 the world concerning sin, and concerning righteousness, and concerning judgment.Joh 16:9 concerning sin because they do not believe in Me, ..........................;;Remember we saw that the Torah reflect our own carnal man through the life of the Children of Israel and help us to change by following יהושע, following his steps, by the leading of the Ruach HaQodesh. Today we are going to see that our forefathers once again demonstrate the weakness of the flesh. If there is any doubt concerning the crossing of the Sea of Reed (called the “Red Sea”) and that it seems to be impossible, you are not alone, almost the all world today believe it is only a story and so it was 2000 years ago Josephus time (a Jew Historian) and has been so during centuries as I will show you.
When we walk following the Ruach (Spirit), there shall no shadow of doubt remain in our heart. We do not walk by what we understand, but by what we believe.  Pro 3:5 Trust in יהוה with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;      Trust: Strong’s # H982 בּטח bâṭach baw-takh'.  A primitive root; properly to hie for refuge (but not so precipitately as H2620); figuratively to trust, be confident or sure: - be bold (confident, secure, sure), careless (one, woman), put confidence, (make to) hope, (put, make to) trust.
Our forefathers looked always at the circumstances and were always under pressure. The Torah, we have seen is the account of our own salvation from the first step when Moshe, a picture of יהושע come to deliver the children of Israel (carnal man) from the slavery of sin (Mitsrayim / Egypt), to bring them to the promise land, the same way we are walking today in the spirit.  We have seen before Moshe the life of Abraham, Itzahk and Ya’acov who were chosen by Elohim to be Israel’s foundation. Abraham been called Elohim’s friend.: Eph 1:4 even as He chose us (you and me) in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be set-apart and blameless before Him in love,1 Footnote: 12 Thess. 2:13………………..
Beloved, if we are in Messiah יהושע today, is not of us but of Him who has chosen us to be set apart. Do not let any time doubt come into your mind but be confident that he who has called you, will bring into completion what he has started until the day of Messiah (Philip.1:6).  As we read we will see the two antithesis between Moshe, Aaron, Myriam, Yohushua Caleb’s faith, trust in Elohim and the doubt of our forefathers the Children of Israel(carnal man).  Almost everyday are we confronted with our trust in Elohim. HaSatan will come to test us and see if there is any open door to bring confusion in our mind. If our faith, our trust is built on יהוה’s Torah, HaSatan will have no chance to overcome us. Proverbs 3:5 shall be in our heart and proclaimed before HaSatan when he is trying to bring doubt in our life.:
Pro 3:5 Trust in YHWH with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Exo 13:17 and it came to be, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that Elohim did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, though that was nearer, for Elohim said, “Lest the people regret when they see fighting, and return to Mitsrayim.” Exo 13:18 So Elohim led the people around by way of the wilderness of the Sea of Reeds. and the children of Yisra’ĕl went up armed from the land of Mitsrayim. ....
Elohim did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines…The short way is not always the best way! The Philistine represents the obstacle which is too high for the people. The Children of Israel (carnal man) were not able to bear the challenge to face the Philistines (toady Palestinians one of the biggest enemy of Israel).
Spiritual understanding: When we start to follow יהושע, יהוה lead us step by step in a smooth way, less we “regret and return to our former way of life” as I have already seen, may יהוה have mercy on them and bring them back to the way of life!...
Exo 13:19 and Mosheh took the bones of Yosĕph with him, for he certainly made the children of Yisra’ĕl swear, saying, “Elohim shall certainly visit you, and you shall bring my bones from here with you.” ....
The children of Israel believed on the resurrection and therefore buried the bones of the dead in a worthy manner. It was not only for Yoseph as we can read: ……
Exo 13:20 and they departed from Sukkoth and camped in Ětham at the edge of the wilderness.
They departed from Sukkoth …………This is the starting point of the great exodus, the deliverance from the slavery, bondage of sin to the wilderness. Remember the purpose of deliverance:    To serve Elohim:
Exo 4:23 and I say unto thee, let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn. This utterance from יהוה is proclaimed seven times before Pharaoh in sh'mot between chapter four and chapter ten. Seven is the number for divine perfection on earth demonstrated here by "that they serve me"! If we dig in the Torah we see many times small nuggets which demonstrate how our heavenly Father embed signs for those who seek. Succoth is also called the Feast of booths which take part in the fall feast. It is the last feast ended by the Last Great day, a picture of the final redemption when Messiah will come to deliver יהוה’s people. So we can conclude that the Torah has threefold meaning:
*  ●Past, describing the life and behave of our forefather
*  ●Present in our own way in the wilderness, following יהושע with the help of the Ruach HaQodesh.
*  ●Future, when יהושע will bring us away from the world dominion to bring us back to our land Eretz Israel (see the book of Yohushua, Joshua).
Exo 13:21 and יהוה went before them by day in a column of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a column of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night.   Exo 13:22 The column of cloud did not cease by day, nor the column of fire by night, before the people. ………….A column of cloud by day …….
A column of fire by night………Cloud: Strong’s # H6051  Brown Driver, Briggs, give us following explanation:  ‛ânân  BDB Definition:  1) cloud, cloudy, cloud-mass. 1a) cloud-mass (of theophanic cloud)
1b) cloud. ...........Tanak (O.T.):  Isa 4:5 then יהוה shall create above every dwelling place of Mount Tsiyon, and above her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night, for over all the esteem shall be a covering,Eze 1:4 and I looked and saw a whirlwind coming out of the north, a great cloud with fire flashing itself. And brightness was all around it, and out of its midst like glowing metal, out of the midst of the fire, Psa 97:2 Clouds and darkness all around Him, Righteousness and right-ruling are the foundation of His throne. Psa 68:34 Ascribe strength to Elohim; His excellence is over Yisra’ĕl, and His strength is in the clouds. Psa 78:23 Yet He had commanded the clouds above, and opened the doors of the heavens, Psa 97:2 Clouds and darkness all around Him, Righteousness and right-ruling are the foundation of His throne. Dan 7:13 “I was looking in the night visions and saw One like the Son of Enosh1, coming with the clouds of the heavens! And He came to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him. Footnote: 1Son of Enosh - This Aramaic term is similar to the Heḇrew ‘Ben Aḏam,’ but not the exact equivalent of it. However, this Aramaic term indicates the same One! Zep 1:15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of distress and trouble, a day of waste and ruin, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,
Brit Chadasha (N.T.) :  Mat 24:30 “And then the sign of the Son of Aḏam shall appear in the heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth shall mourn, and they shall see the Son of Aḏam coming on the clouds of the heaven with power and much esteem. Mat 26:64 יהושע said to him, “You have said it. Besides I say to you, from now you shall see the Son of Aḏam sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming on the clouds of the heaven.”
1Th 4:17 Then we, the living who are left over, shall be caught away together with them in the clouds to meet the Master in the air – and so we shall always be with the Master. Rev 1:7 See, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye shall see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth shall mourn because of Him. Yes, Amĕn.  1Co 10:1 For I do not wish you to be ignorant, brothers, that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, 1Co 10:1 For I do not wish you to be ignorant, brothers, that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, Heb 12:1 We too, then, having so great a cloud of witnesses all around us, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race set before us, ............We can see in these verses that cloud has an extended explanation: messengers, as protection, also witness, or believers as in Daniel chapter seven or יהושע in Mattityahu 26 and Revelation chapter one..............Pilar of FirePillar or column: Strong’s #H5982 .  עמּד  /  עמּוּד  ‛ammûd
BDB Definition: (Brown Driver Briggs): 1) pillar, column. 1a) pillar. 1b) column, upright. 1c) column (of smoke).............;;There is another word translated  as “pillar” which is the Hebrew word “netsyb” used for the wife of Lot becoming a “pillar” of salt, also the word “matstsêbâh” when Ya’acov anointed the stone (which contain the idea of standing) b’reshit 28:18) and other places..............;The word “ammud” is always used in direct connection to יהוה:
Exo 33:9 and it came to be, when Mosheh entered the Tent, that the column (ammud) of cloud descended and stood at the door of the Tent, and He spoke with Mosheh. Num 12:5 and יהוה came down in the column (ammud) of cloud and stood in the door of the Tent, and called Aharon and Miryam. and they both went forward. Num 14:14 and they shall say to the inhabitants of this land they have heard that You, יהוה, are in the midst of these people, that You, יהוה, are seen eye to eye and that Your cloud stands above them, and You go before them in a column (ammud) of cloud by day and in a column (ammud) of fire by night.  Deu 31:15 and יהוה appeared at the Tent in a column (ammud) of a cloud, and the column of a cloud stood above the door of the Tent. Jdg 20:40 Then the cloud began to rise from the city in a column (ammud) of smoke, and the Binyamites looked behind them, and saw the entire city going up in smoke to the heavens
Sh’lomo building the Temple: 1Ki 7:21 and he set up the columns (ammud) by the porch of the hĕḵal. and he set up the column (ammud) on the right and called its name Yaḵin, and he set up the column(ammud) on the left and called its name Boʽaz. 2Ki 23:3 and the sovereign stood by the column (ammud) and made a covenant before יהוה, to follow יהוה and to guard His commands and His witnesses and His laws, with all his heart and all his being, to establish the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people stood to the covenant.  2Ki 25:17 The height of one column (ammud) was eighteen cubits (6x3=18), and the capital on it was of bronze. And the height of the capital was three cubits, and the network and pomegranates all around the capital were all of bronze. And the second column (ammud) was the same, with a networkPsa 99:7 He spoke to them in the column (ammud) of cloud; They guarded His witnesses And the law He gave them.  Jer 1:18 “For look, I have made you (I, יהוה, you, Yrmeyahu)this day a walled city and an iron column (ammud), and bronze walls against all the land, against the sovereigns of Yehuḏah, against her heads, against her priests, and against the people of the land. ..............

We focus on the word “pillar” or “column” in Hebrew “ammud”, which picture the uprightness of יהוה’s presence among the children of Israel, not only at the departance of Mitsrayim but also in the wilderness with the presence at the tent of meeting, and in the Temple Sh’lomo built with the two “posts”. All are pointing to Messiah who is the “Pillar” the “Upright” of the Assembly by day and by night.  ……Exo 14:1 and יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,...

Do you remember what Ya'acov our Master's brother write and call the Torah?Jas 1:25 but whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. Jas 2:12 so speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. Jas 2:13 for he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment. Ya'acov speaking of the Torah calls it law of liberty! When we see the Children of Israel saying "let us serve the Mitzrites" we see that they could only walk in the flesh. How it is with us today, are we walking in the law of liberty trusting the one who has called us or are we walking following our carnal nature looking to serve the spiritual Mytzrites? Have we ever asked ourselves when we try to do like the people of the world, what are we doing? .......Who is the provider of our needs?
Does יהוה and יהושע know our daily needs?  .....Who are the Mitzrites today in our midst? Are we looking back to our spiritual Mitzrayim (i.e. world system)?. Or are we following our Master יהושע "יהוה does fight for you, and you keep still.”….. Spiritual understanding and difference among the believers:  Once we start our walk with יהושע, Elohim will allow the enemy HaSatan to test us, to know whether we will turn back to our spiritual Egypt / Mitsrayim or trust him. Reactions are different depending on people as we can read in the book of Yasher:  First reaction: Exceedingly afraid....27. The first division was of the children of Reuben, Simeon, and Issachar, and they resolved to cast themselves into the sea, for they were exceedingly afraid of the
Egyptians. 28. and Moses said to them, Fear not, stand still and see the salvation of YHWH which He
will effect this day for you. Second reaction: Going back to Egypt......29. The second division was of the children of Zebulun, Benjamin and Naphtali, and they resolved to go back to Egypt with the Egyptians.
30. And Moses said to them, Fear not, for as you have seen the Egyptians this day, so shall you see them no more for ever....Third reaction: To fight the Enemy:.....31. The third division was of the children of Judah and Joseph, and they resolved to go to meet the Egyptians to fight with them. 32. And Moses said to them, Stand in your places, for YHWH will fight for you, and you shall remain silent. ....Fourth Reaction: Call unto YHWH, listening to our Master.:  33. and the fourth division was of the children of Levi, Gad, and Asher, and they resolved to go into the midst of the Egyptians to confound them, and Moses said to them, Remain in your stations and fear not, only call unto YHWH that he may save you out of their hands. …….Moshe’s declarations to the different groups:              JFirst group: Fear not, stands still and see the salvation of YHWH.   JSecond group: Fear not, for as you have seen the Egyptians this day, so shall
you see them no more for ever.    JThird group: YHWH will fight for you, and you shall remain silent.
JFourth group: Remain in your stations and fear not, only call unto YHWH
Can you see that in the four reactions, it is YHWH who deals with the Egyptians (enemies)? Have you ever tried to deliver yourselves from a situation instead to call upon YHWH standing still, remaining silent (not talking to everybody of your problem but to Elohim), and standing firm in your position (“remain in your station”)?
We see four divisions with four different reactions. At the end they all will keep going, so do not worry if you find yourself in one of them, just meditate on יהוה’s faithfulness and grow, becoming mature to influence in a good way the group you may belong to………The first group is afraid! Moshe’s solution: Stand still and see what יהוה will do. We found this situation again with King Yehoshapath 2nd Chronicle 20 who feared but seek יהוה2Ch 20:1 It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle. 2Ch 20:2 then there came some that told Yehoshaphat (Yehovah judge, contend, defend), saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be Hazazon-tamar, which is En-gedi. 2Ch 20:3 and Yehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek YHWH, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah……………………2Ch 20:5 and Yehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of YHWH, before the new court, 2Ch 20:6 and said, O YHWH Elohim of our fathers, art not thou Elohim in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? And in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee? 2Ch 20:7 art not thou our Elohim, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?
2Ch 20:8 and they dwelt therein, and have built thee a sanctuary therein for thy name, saying,
2Ch 20:9 if, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help……………2Ch 20:15 and he said, “Listen, all Yehuḏah, and you inhabitants of Yerushalayim, and Sovereign Yehoshaphat! Thus said יהוה to you, ‘Do not fear, nor be afraid of the face of this great army, for the battle is not yours, but Elohim’s.   2Ch 20:17It is not for you to fight in this. Position yourselves, stand still and see the deliverance of יהוה with you, O Yehuḏah and Yerushalayim!’ Do not be afraid nor fear, go out against them tomorrow, for יהוה is with you.” ….The second group wanted to go back. How many have back slide already and lost their salvation? To understand the concept of backsliding we must go to the prophet Yrmeyahu: Jer 7:22 for I spoke not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:
Jer 7:23 but this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice (Torah), and I will be your Elohim, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.
Jer 7:24 but they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.  Jer 7:25 Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day I have even sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them: Jer 7:26 Yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but hardened their neck: they did worse than their fathers.  Backsliding = turning away from the Torah! The third Group. Yehudah, and Yospeh who want to fight against the enemy. They are confident of the victory, but Moshe say that the battle is יהוה’s. Even when we are confident we have to entrust ourselves in יהוה:
Rom 12:19 Beloved, do not revenge yourselves, but give place to the wrath, for it has been written, “Vengeance is Mine, I shall repay,” says יהוה.  ………….;The fourth group: Picture those who want to contend against those outside (Egyptians, pagans), but Moshe say; PRAY (call unto YHWH)! We have a good example from Sha’ul: Rom 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith YHWH….Exo 14:15 and יהוה said to Mosheh, “Why do you cry to Me? Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, and let them go forward. Exo 14:16 “And you, lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, and let the children of Yisra’ĕl go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
Exo 14:17 “And I, see I am hardening the hearts of the Mitsrites, and they shall follow them. And I am to be esteemed through Pharaoh and over all his army, his chariots, and his horsemen......
Spiritual understanding:  Salvation start as we live Egypt / Mitsrayim and are baptized in the Name Yehoshua. The struggle comes from the enemy HaSatan who want us to go back, because we have nothing with us, only the dough without leaven. We have now left behind our hypocrisy in Egypt (world system), and only our move in faith will bring us to cross the sea and receive our baptism in Messiah יהושע proclaiming that יהוה is salvation: יהושע! This step has been diminished by Christian theology, which says that only when we believe the name “Jesus” we are saved, because it is by grace through faith! This is not what scripture teach, as we can read in the book of Acts, the baptism in the Name is part of our salvation for remission of sin: Act 2:36 “Therefore let all the house of Yisra’ĕl know for certain that Elohim has made this יהושע, whom you impaled, both Master and Messiah.” Act 2:37 and having heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Kĕpha and the rest of the emissaries, “Men, brothers, what shall we do?” Act 2:38 and Kĕpha said to them, “Repent, and let each one of you be immersed (baptized) in the Name of יהושע Messiah for the forgiveness of sins…..Shaul explain the Baptism. 1Co 10:1 for I do not wish you to be ignorant, brothers, that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea, 1Co 10:2 and all were immersed into Mosheh in the cloud and in the sea, ...............Can you see that all details from the natural have a spiritual impact in our life? Sha'ul was knowledgeable concerning the spiritual aspect of the Torah. He says that our forefathers were all “baptized”, immersed into Moshe, who was a prophet like Yehoshua Messiah! Exo 14:21 and Mosheh stretched out his hand over the sea, and יהוה caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided. Exo 14:22 and the children of Yisra’ĕl went into the midst of the sea on dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right and on their left. Exo 14:23 and the Mitsrites pursued and went after them into the midst of the sea, all the horses of Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen. Exo 14:24 and it came to be, in the morning watch, that יהוה looked down upon the army of the Mitsrites through the column of fire and cloud, and He brought the army of the Mitsrites into confusion. Exo 14:25 and He took off their chariot wheels, so that they drove them with difficulty. And the Mitsrites said, “Let us flee from the face of Yisra’ĕl, for יהוה fights for them against the Mitsrites.”
Exo 14:26 Then יהוה said to Mosheh, “Stretch out your hand over the sea, and let the waters come back upon the Mitsrites, on their chariots, and on their horsemen.” ...21-31…Spiritual understanding: It is the second time we see יהוה destroying sinners by water. Do you remember, the first time it was under Noach! Here again the water shows its two aspect, for one group, the children of Israel it is the “water of salvation”, the baptism for the other group who do not believe יהוה the Elohim of Israel, the same water bring destruction. Water is a euphemism for the Torah. The Torah acts perfectly according to יהוה’s word. People today reject the Torah and so look unto judgment while the other embraces the Torah unto salvation through יהושע Messiah.
It was so wit those who follow Moshe for their salvation………..;;Psa 147:18 He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.Psa 147:19 He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.Psa 147:20 He hath not dealt so with any nation: and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye YHWH......Who is the Word?....Joh 1:14 and the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. Please do not say, that I write that Yeshua was in the Tanak, we speak from The Word!
We read in the book of Psalm (tehilim):  Psa 77:14 You are the Ěl who does wonders; You have made known Your strength among the peoples.Psa 77:15 by Your arm You have redeemed Your people, The sons of Yaʽaqoḇ and Yosĕph. Selah.Psa 77:16 The waters saw You, O Elohim; The waters saw You, they were afraid; The depths also trembled.Psa 77:17 The clouds poured out water; The heavens rumbled; Also, Your arrows (lightnings) flashed back and forth.Psa 77:18 The voice of Your thunder rolled along; Lightnings lit up the world; The earth trembled and shook.Psa 77:19 Your way was in the sea, And Your path in the great waters, And Your footsteps were not known. Psa 77:20 you did lead Your people like a flock by the hand of Mosheh and Aharon.
Chapter 15:1-21 - The children of Israel have passed the Sea of reed and are now saved from the power of the Egyptians. They sing following Moshe: Rev 15:1 and I saw another sign in the heaven, great and marvellous: seven messengers having the seven last plagues,  for the wrath of Elohim was ended in them. Rev 15:2 and I saw like a sea of glass mixed with fire, and those overcoming the beast and his image and his mark and the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, holding harps of Elohim. Rev 15:3 and they sing the song of Mosheh the servant of Elohim, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and marvellous are Your works, יהוה Ěl Shaddai! Righteous and true are Your ways, O Sovereign of the set-apart ones! Rev 15:4 “Who shall not fear You, O יהוה, and esteem Your Name? Because You alone are kind. Because all nations shall come and worship before You, for Your righteousness’s have been made manifest.” ……The parallel here is the song after the great deliverance by the mighty Hand of Elohim. The song of Mosheh and the song of the Lamb, יהושע Messiah the Lamb of Elohim (Yochanan 1:29).  Exo 15:1 Then Mosheh and the children of Yisra’ĕl sang this song to יהוה, and spoke, saying, “I sing to יהוה, for He is highly exalted! The horse and its rider He has thrown into the sea! ...
22 – 26.: The children of Israel (carnal man) just crossed the Sea of reed that the new challenge come. They walk three days in the wilderness and found no water! We see here a natural situation pointing to spiritual meaning. At this point they came to Marah which mean bitterness. The reaction of the children of Israel (carnal man) is to complain against Moshe who brought them there.
How it is with us when we first receive our salvation and follow יהושע, when does come the first test and give us opportunity to complain against יהושע? How far we are in our walk, have we reached the position of Yehoshua (Yoshua) and Caleb? Are we mature enough studying the Torah, to understand that all things work for good to those who love Elohim? The children of Israel complain because in their heart they were still in Egypt. The water is as we say before a euphemism for Torah. When the Torah does not dwells in the heart of people it become “bitter”. Here we can understand better the parable יהושע spoke to his disciples concerning the Seed:
Mar 4:1 and he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land. Mar 4:2 and he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine, Mar 4:3 hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow: Mar 4:4 and it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up. Mar 4:5 and some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth: Mar 4:6 but when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away. Mar 4:7 and some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit. Mar 4:8 and other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty and some sixty, and some an hundred. Mar 4:9 and he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear let him hear.Mar 4:10 and when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.Mar 4:11 and he said unto them, unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of YHWH: but unto them that are without (outside what?), all these things are done in parables: Mar 4:12 that seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. Mar 4:13 and he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? And how then will ye know all parables? Mar 4:14 The sower soweth the word. Mar 4:15 and these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. Mar 4:16 and these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; Mar 4:17 and have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.Mar 4:18 and these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
Mar 4:19 and the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.Mar 4:20 and these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.Mar 4:21 and he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? And not to be set on a candlestick?Mar 4:22 for there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.Mar 4:23 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.Mar 4:24 and he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.Mar 4:25 for he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath. ..........The Children of Israel, sang because they saw the mighty work of Elohim and the destruction of the Mitzrites who were after them, few days later when the first challenge came in Marah they had already forgotten how יהוה stretched out his arm to deliver them! In the parable יהושע make it clear there are four kinds of people:
a)     Those who hear the word and let HaSatan steal it from their heart
b)     Those who have no roots and can only endure for a time and get offended at the first persecution
c)     Those in whom the word becomes unfruitful because of the cares of the world, and the lust of other things.
d)     At least those who bring forth fruits, some thirty, some sixty, some one hundred, because their heart received the word on a good ground
We should ask ourselves to which group we belong and ask our heavenly Father what to do, in order to belong to the fourth group to improve our walk and bear fruits which last. Verse 25, it is written that יהוה show a tree to Moshe and by putting it in the water it became sweet. The tree here is a euphemism for Torah, all the verses below are related of keeping the Torah and the result of it: Gen 2:9 and out of the ground יהוה Elohim made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food, with the tree of life in the midst of the garden and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Pro 3:18 She is a tree of life to those taking hold of her, and blessed are all who retain her.Pro 11:30 The fruit of the righteous (doing the commandments) is a tree of life, and he who is winning lives is wise.Rev 2:7 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who overcomes1 I shall give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of Elohim.”
Rev 22:14 “Blessed are those doing His commands, so that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of life, and to enter through the gates into the city.
15:22.They walked three days before coming to Marah. Today people have walked two thousands years or Two days and have now entered the third day. Many have turned back to Egypt because they have not found the water of life the Torah that gives life to those who thirst.  If we listen carefully to people, many of them have a bad testimony they reject Messiah by their unbelief. They follow their congregations, their pastors, but their own life is void from Torah and they get angry, many have turned to philosophy and have made the scripture a book without life. They have rejected the Torah and so have removed the sweetness of the Torah from their life. ….Exo.15:26.“If you diligently obey ( shama in Hebrew) the voice of יהוה your Elohim and do what is right (Yashar where we have the word Yasher, “just” in Hebrew) in His eyes, and shall listen to His commands and shall guard all His laws, I shall bring on you none of the diseases I brought on the Mitsrites, for I am יהוה who heals you.( יהוהRapha)” .. Exo 15:27 and they came to Ělim, where there were twelve fountains of water and seventy palm trees. And they camped there by the waters. ……………To obey, to do what is right, to listen, and guard all the mitzvoth (commandments). Do you want to know how to walk free from sickness? Here you have the answer, by being a hearer and doer of the Word, not only a hearer but a doer. (Ya’acov 1:22,23)….Elim = Palm tree. The twelve fountain of water or well represent one for each of Ya’acov's children and thus the source of life for all the tribes of Israel. The seventy Palm trees represent the members of Ya’acov household who went down to Egypt to be joined to Yoseph and became a multitude………….Exo 1:5 and all those who were descendants of Yaʽaqoḇ were seventy beings, as Yosĕph was already in Mitsrayim...............

Chapter 16.: It is now exactly thirty days, the children of Israel have left Egypt and they again grumble against Moshe and Aharon in the wilderness. Now יהוה will test his people by giving Manna, the bread from heaven which points to יהושע Messiah the bread of life. The children of Israel (carnal man) were used to eat many things in Mitzrayim (Egypt), they had accommodated themselves with slavery but not to feel the hunger. Today so many so call believers are also accommodated with the world’ system and don’t even realize that they are slave! יהוה will now give them food, He is the one to nourish them, but not with the same food, the food that make people weak and lazy, but a food which shall bring faith in the life of people. How it is with us, do we complain when we don’t get what we think to have, or are we able to keep the way patiently until our heavenly Father provide what we need?In verse 4 we read that the Manna every day is a TEST for the children of Israel (carnal man) and that יהוה will provide only for one day. He will go so far that during the Shabbat no manna collect for food will be done, but on the sixth days they will collect for two days.I remember when I was working on Germany, I was working on my own, and of course when you don’t have a salary, you have always to look to have money in order to pay the rent for the apartment, electricity, insurances, car, food for the children every day and much more. I felt always comfortable when I had provision for many months, or even when my business had run so well to provide for two years payments in advance. All this changed when I entered the wilderness and יהוה became my “security”. It was a great challenge for me, because I was not used to be so short with money. I had to learn very fast to rely on יהוה through יהושע and I must say that sometime it was not easy, but thanks be to Elohim that he taught me the Torah and the water became sweet to me. HalleluYah!  If we understand the principle that during the Shabbat the children of Israel were not to gather Manna, and that we today do not work or buy, we will be able to see that when יהושע will come to establish יהוה’s Kingdom, it will be so for those who have trusted him. They will not have to work during the millennium, but enjoy the rest of יהוה……….;;Exo 16:12 “I have heard the grumblings of the children of Yisra’ĕl. Speak to them, saying, ‘Between the evenings you are to eat meat, and in the morning you are to be satisfied with bread. And you shall know that I am יהוה your Elohim.’ ” …….
Have you ever eaten quail? This is a very tasty small bird which you can eat roasted. The children of Israel were not satisfied with what they had, their provisions were now finished and they begin to be afraid to die in the wilderness. Have you ever been afraid that you would not have enough to eat? What was your reaction?..........;;;Quail Strong’s #H7958 שׂלוo  śelâv  śelâyv  sel-awv', sel-awv'. By orthographical variation from H7951 through the idea of sluggishness; the quail collectively (as slow in flight from its weight): - quails. H7951. shâlâh  shâlav shaw-law', shaw-lav'. The second form being used in Job_3:26; a primitive root; to be tranquil, that is, secure or successful: - be happy, prosper, be in safety.........................We see here in the root of the word for “quail” that it represents the “security” of tranquil life, secure, prosperous. So was I with my business until יהוה took me at the appointed time, to follow him in the wilderness. Finish with my "own security from Egypt" it was now time for me to learn to walk by faith, trusting יהוה. I must acknowledge that it was not so easy, when you see you income melt up to lesser then twenty percent of what you were use you can be chocked by the cares of the world! Today if you come to Europe, people complain everyday because they lose more and more of their “comfort”, “security”, more and more of them lose their job. At the age of 45 it is almost impossible to found a new job. If you come out of the university, today it is the same, no job. The world is now becoming a boiling pot for all those who trusted in their own strength. But we brethren we are not of the world, we are of Elohim, if indeed the Ruach of Elohim dwells in us. The fact to give them one more time quails, before giving them Manna was a sign that the children of Israel may know that He alone is Elohim verse 12. Manna instead of Quails, Elohim provision instead of worldly security: Exo 16:13 and it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host.
Exo 16:14 and when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground.........;This bread, the manna is pointing to the fruit for the spiritual man. …………Today many people do no take part in the Living bread from heaven, יהושע Messiah, because they reject him. The living bread is the Torah and whoever refuses to follow יהושע, cannot take part in the bread of life, I don't speak of "Jesus", I speak of the true Messiah, יהושע of Nazareth. …..Joh 6:5 Then יהושע, lifting up His eyes and seeing a large crowd coming toward Him, said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread for them to eat?”….Joh 6:6 and this He said, trying him, for He (יהושע) Himself knew what He would do. Joh 6:9Here is a boy who has five barley loaves and two fishes, but what are these for so many?” Joh 6:13 So they gathered them and filled twelve baskets with broken pieces of the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten. ............Here we should understand the mystery (sod)! Explanation: The five loaves of barley represent the Torah (five books Moshe), the two fishes represent the two Houses, the House of Yehudah and the House of Israel, Ephraim both of them need to eat the bread of life. Joh 6:14 Then the men, having seen the sign that יהושע did, said, “This is truly the Prophet who is coming to the world.”(read D’varim 18:18).   Joh 6:26 יהושע answered them and said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were satisfied.  Joh 6:27 “Do not labour for the food that is perishing, but for the food that is remaining to everlasting life, which the Son of Aḏam shall give you,1 for the Father, Elohim, has set His seal on Him.”……………..Joh 6:31Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, as it has been written, ‘He gave them bread out of the heaven to eat.’Joh 6:32 Therefore יהושע said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, Mosheh did not give you the bread out of the heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread out of the heaven. Joh 6:33For the bread of Elohim is He who comes down out of the heaven and gives life to the world.” Joh 6:34 So they said to Him, “Master, give us this bread always.” Joh 6:35 And יהושע said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall not get hungry at all, and he who believes in Me shall not get thirsty at all. Joh 6:41 Therefore the Yehuḏim were grumbling against Him, because He said, “I am the bread which came down out of the heaven.” .................;Why did the Yehudin grumbled, because יהושע say that he is the bread which came down from heaven? Yes but why? The Yehudin were following the tradition of men (Matt.23:2) doing with scruple all what the scribes and Pharisee were telling them, יהושע corrected them telling them that their bread came not from Moshe (verse 32) but from the Father , telling them: "you are mistaking if you believe to get the same manna as it was with Moshe, because Moshe pointed to Me as the Bread from heaven, you have not understood the true meaning of this manna"!Do not forget that at this time the children of Israel, the House of Israel, Ephraim was already in the Diaspora, scattered by Elohim. Most of the people there were Yehudin and were under the control of the Pharisee and Sadducees. Today our brethren from Yehudah are under the control of the Rabbis and the doctrine of the Talmud, which they have placed above the Torah, so are they under a curse! QUESTION: Why does Yehoshua syas: the bread of Elohim is He who comes down out of the heaven and gives life to the world”.  Is Yehoshua coming down from the heaven? Try to answer honestly this question according to scriptures and not according to men’s doctrines. READ: Isa 55:10 for as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: Isa 55:11 so shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. ……..Who is the Word of Elohim?...Is not Yehoshua back with the Father? Do you want another witness? Heb 11:3 through faith we understand that the worlds were framed (prepared) by the Word of Elohim, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. ………People do not realize how they are in bondage. They look very pious and religious, but are in bondage and under curse. Not only “Jews” but all those religious groups who seems to be wise in the eyes of the unlearned; Christians, especially the Catholics, the Muslims, and all those denominations who reject the Torah of יהוה. The only way to get life is to be partaker of the bread of life, no other way brings life: Joh 6:51 “I am the living bread (the Word, the Torah) which came down out of the heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he shall live forever. and indeed, the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”
Joh 6:53 יהושע therefore said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Aḏam and drink His blood, you possess no life in yourselves. Joh 6:54He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood possesses everlasting life, and I shall raise him up in the last day. Joh 6:55 “For My flesh is truly food, and My blood is truly drink. Joh 6:56 “He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood stays in Me, and I in him. Joh 6:57 “As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me shall live because of Me. Joh 6:58This is the bread which came down out of the heaven, not as your fathers ate the manna and died. He who eats this bread shall live forever.”
יהושע finish his teaching saying that in spite to eat manna our forefathers died. This is a very hard statement he didn’t spoke of physical death, but of the spiritual death as it is confirmed in other places of the Brit Chadasha. How many people today refuse to eat the bread of life and rather follow after the doctrines of demons?
Exo 16:19 and Mosheh said, “Let no one leave any of it until morning.” Exo 16:20 and they did not listen to Mosheh, so some of them left part of it until morning, and it bred worms and stank. and Mosheh was wroth with them. Exo 16:21 and they gathered it every morning, each one according to his need. and when the sun became hot, it melted. …………;;;What can we learn from these three verses? Faith is a daily bread, we cannot store up our faith, it must be renewed everyday, we cannot gather our faith for many days it will fade away. Every morning we have to gather our portion of new faith by eating the bread of Messiah and trusting him to bring us on the right place. Verse 29……do not let anyone go out of his place on the seventh day.”
We have already discussed this in one fellowship with other brethren, but they were not convinced, because I told them that they cannot travel from place to place as they were used. I was accused to misinterpret the Torah.
The tradition teaches us that the possibility during the Shabbat is a walk distance of two thousand cubits or close to one mile. We can read it in: Act 1:12 Then they went back to Yerushalayim from the Mount of Olives, which is near Yerushalayim, a Sabbath day’s journey. From Vincent’s word study: A Sabbath-day's journey, according to Jewish tradition, was about three-quarters of a mile. It was the supposed distance between the camp and the tabernacle in the wilderness In Yerushalayim there was different area and the one who was at the reach of the Shabbat day’s walk was where the animals were grazing outside Yerushlayim. Comments from Albert Barnes:
A sabbath-day’s journey - As far as might be lawfully traveled by a Jew on the Sabbath. This was 2,000 paces or cubits, or seven furlongs and a half - not quite one mile. See the notes On Mat_24:20. The distance of a lawful journey on the Sabbath was not fixed by the laws of Moses, but the Jewish teachers had fixed it at 2,000 paces. This measure was determined on because it was a tradition that in the camp of the Israelites, when coming from Egypt, no part of the camp was more than 2000 paces from the tabernacle, and over this space, therefore, they were permitted to travel for worship. Perhaps, also, some countenance was given to this from the fact that this was the extent of the suburbs of the Levitical cities, Num_35:5. Mount Olivet was only 5 furlongs from Jerusalem, and Bethany was 15 furlongs. But on the eastern declivity of the mountain the tract of country was called, for a considerable space, the region of Bethany; and it was from this place that the Master Yeshua ascended. ......Barnes doesn't say that it was right to walk more then 2000 cubits, but that the distance was fixed by the teachers according to the camp in the wilderness. One Master did as it was tradition. .....Exo 16:1 and they set out from Ělim, and all the congregation of the children of Yisra’ĕl came to the Wilderness of Sin, which is between Ělim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their going out of the land of Mitsrayim....16:33 the pot of manna will be found later in the Ark of Testimony with Aaron's rod and the two tablets. ………… Dabar: dâbâBDB Definition: 1) speech, word, speaking, thing 1a) speech 1b) saying, utterance…1c) word, words 1d) business, occupation, acts, matter, case, something, manner Part of Speech: noun masculine . The Hebrew word “Dabar” equals the Greek word “Logos” (Yochanan 1:1).
Chapter 17: Amalek.: The children of Israel (carnal man) come to Rephidim and again there is no water to drink, and they strive again with Moshe their "Saviour", accusing him to bring them in the wilderness to kill them. Wilderness of Sin: Sin = “thorn” or “clay” Rephidim = “rests” or “stays” or “resting places”
We see these two words could give us information concerning the conditions of the children of Israel’s life.
They came to stop because they had a thorn in the flesh and they were to rest or stay in the resting place to refresh themselves. Unfortunately they still are babes, not mature and come against Moshe. It is always much better to blame others rather than to look our own attitude! Here there is something very important to learn for us, because it came be a snare in our life. I learned from Tobia from Yashanet how to understand this passage. Verse 5 and 6 יהוה commanded Moshe to take his rod and to strike the rock and water will come out of the rock. You should learn this, because we will see a second time and this time it will become sin for Moshe and hinder him to enter the promise land. יהוה tells Moshe that when he strike the rock, water will come out;
To understand we shall read what Sha'ul says: 1Co 10:4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed, and the Rock was Messiah.  “The Rock was Messiah”, yes you will say, but where is the connection with this verse? .....To smite the Rock in order to get water, יהושע is the “Rock” and out of it come water, which is the Torah that brings life. יהושע was smitten in order to give us this living water. This was the spiritual meaning of this verse. The second time will show that this is a very deep (sod, mystery) which Elohim reveal to those who seek him. .....Joh 4:10 Yehoshua answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of Elohim, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.  Joh 4:11 the woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? ……Now there is another verse which makes the connection with the fight against Amalek. This passage is impossible to understand if we reject the PARDES interpretation. Pardes are the four levels of interpretation known in Judaism. The word is made out of four other words:      P for P'shat (literal)           R for Remez (hint behind the literal)           D for Drash (from midrash, teaching)        S for Sod (mystery behind the letter, most of the time pointing to Messiah יהושע)
It is written that Amalek came to fight against the Children of Israel and that Moshe sent Yehoshua son of Nun the Ephramite and that Moshe lifted up his hands toward heaven to support Yehoshua. When ever Moshe got tired and put his hands down, Amalek took advantage, but when Moshe has his hands up it was Yehoshua, and at the end Yehoshua won the battle. יהוה says that he want to blow out the name from Amalek from under heaven. This is enough for us to try to understand why, what is the reason, it must be important. Now first we should know and understand why Amalek came, but look at the verse which precedes the coming of Amalek:.................Exo 17:7 and he called the name of the place Massah and Meriḇah, because of the ‘strife’ of the children of Yisra’ĕl, and because they ‘tried’ יהוה, saying, “Is יהוה in our midst or not?” Exo 17:8 and Amalĕq came and fought with Yisra’ĕl in Rephiḏim…………..
We see Amalek coming straight after they asked themselves whether יהוה is with them or not! This is called DOUBT. To confirm, the Hebrew word for “doubt” is "sufek” and the word “sufek” is written with the Hebrew letters samek, peh, qof, and “Amalek” written with the Hebrew letters Ayin, mem, lamed, qof, having the same Gimetria (letter value) 240.This is why יהוה want to eradicate Amalek from under heaven. Doubt is the biggest enemy in our life, because it removes the power of Elohim. When Moshe lifted up his hands toward heaven this was to TRUST Elohim, and when he put his hands down it was the “carnal way” and Amalek had the upper hand, doubt came and Amalek prevailed. Aharon and Hur came to sustain Moshe and put a rock, a euphemism for Torah under him. ………“Write this for a remembrance in the book and recite it in the hearing of Yehoshua, that I shall completely blot out the remembrance of Amalĕq from under the heavens.” ……….. יהוה is to fight against Amalĕq, from generation to generation.” To complete our understanding we should know who is “amalek”?
Gen 36:11 and the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz. Gen 36:12 and Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these were the sons of Adah Esau's wife. Amalek son of Eliphaz sond of Esau! Very interesting, we see the hatred goes from generation to generation. Esau is dead but his hatred against Ya’acov remains until to our day. It is good to research the fathers of those who come against the Children of Israel many times it will give us a clue concerning their attitudes. This fight is a perpetual fight for all those who will follow יהושע. The way to overcome doubt is to renew our mind by studying the Torah and by prayer. Some folks today do not like to learn Torah, even if they confess that we are not done with the Torah. It seems to be too hard, because they don’t open their spiritual eyes and refuse to follow the Ruach HaQodesh (Set apart Spirit) in the wilderness. You don't know that the Ruach HaQodesh will lead you into the wilderness? Luk 4:1 and Yehoshua being full of the Holy Spirit returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit (Ruach) into the wilderness,Luk 4:2 being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.1Jn 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he (Yeshua) walked.......If the Ruach HaQodesh led our Master יהושע into the wilderness do you think he will not do the same with us in order that we may be tempted?
Chapter 17:  Exo 17:1 and all the congregation of the children of Yisra’ĕl set out on their journey from the Wilderness of Sin, according to the command of יהוה, and camped in Rephiḏim. And there was no water for the people to drink.  Exo 17:2 Therefore the people strove with Mosheh, and said, “Give us water to drink.” And Mosheh said to them, “Why do you strive with me? Why do you try יהוה?”  Exo 17:3 and the people thirsted there for water, and the people grumbled against Mosheh, and said, “Why did you bring us out of Mitsrayim, to kill us and our children and our livestock with thirst?” Exo 17:4 Then Mosheh cried out to יהוה, saying, “What am I to do with this people? Yet a little and they shall stone me!” Exo 17:5 and יהוה said to Mosheh, “Pass over before the people, and take with you some of the elders of Yisra’ĕl. And take in your hand your rod with which you smote the river, and go. Exo 17:6 “See, I am standing before you there on the rock in Ḥorĕḇ. And you shall smite the rock, and water shall come out of it, and the people shall drink.” And Mosheh did so before the eyes of the elders of Yisra’ĕl. Exo 17:7 and he called the name of the place Massah and Meriḇah, because of the ‘strife’ of the children of Yisra’ĕl, and because they ‘tried’ יהוה, saying, “Is יהוה in our midst or not?” Exo 17:8 and Amalĕq came and fought with Yisra’ĕl in Rephiḏim. Exo 17:9 and Mosheh said to Yehoshua, “Choose for us men and go out, fight with Amalĕq. Tomorrow I am stationing myself on the top of the hill with the rod of Elohim in my hand.” Exo 17:10 and Yehoshua did as Mosheh said to him, to fight with Amalĕq. And Mosheh, Aharon, and Ḥur went up to the top of the hill. Exo 17:11 and it came to be, when Mosheh held up his hand, that Yisra’ĕl prevailed. And when he let down his hand, Amalĕq prevailed. Exo 17:12 but Mosheh’s hands were heavy, so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it. And Aharon and Ḥur supported his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side. And his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. Exo 17:13 and Yehoshua defeated Amalĕq and his people with the edge of the sword. Exo 17:14 and יהוה said to Mosheh, “Write this for a remembrance in the book and recite it in the hearing of Yehoshua, that I shall completely blot out the remembrance of Amalĕq from under the heavens.” Exo 17:15 And Mosheh built an altar and called its name, יהוה Nissi,
Exo 17:16 for he said, “Because a hand is on the throne of Yah, יהוה is to fight against Amalĕq, from generation to generation.” ……………..;It was to be written in the book and recite to Yohushua (Joshua) in order that he remembers it later at the time the Children of Israel enter the Promise Land. The same command will be given to King Saul by Sh'muel the prophet concerning Amalek. Yoshua felt to blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heavens.
Haftorah
A prophetess leads Israel forty years with the help of Barak¸ she fought the enemies and won the battles. We have here the perseverance of two women Deborah and Ya'el who were determine in their actions. Chapter five we see the people singing hymn to יהוה to celebrate his greatness. This pattern goes on till the end of the Scriptures, because we also find the people singing in the Book of Revelation.5:9-10, 14:3)
4:4 and Deḇorah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappiḏoth, was ruling Yisra’ĕl at that time.
Jdg 4:5 and she was dwelling under the palm tree (euphemism for righteousness) of Deḇorah between Ramah and Bĕyth Ěl in the mountains of Ephrayim. And the children of Yisra’ĕl came up to her for right-ruling.
Jdg 4:6 And she sent and called for Baraq son of Aḇinoʽam from Qeḏesh in Naphtali, and said to him, “Has not יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl commanded, ‘Go, and you shall draw towards Mount Taḇor, and shall take with you ten thousand men of the sons of Naphtali and of the sons of Zeḇulun, Jdg 4:7 and I shall draw unto you Sisera, the commander of Yaḇin’s army, with his chariots and his company at the wadi Qishon, and shall give him into your hand’?” Jdg 4:8 And Baraq said to her, “If you go with me, then I shall go; but if you do not go with me, I do not go.” Jdg 4:9 and she said, “I shall certainly go with you. Only, there shall be no esteem for you in the journey you are taking, for יהוה is going to sell Sisera into the hand of a woman (Deborah acting in the office of prophet).” So Deḇorah arose and went with Baraq to Qeḏesh. Jdg 4:10 and Baraq called Zeḇulun and Naphtali to Qeḏesh. And he went up – ten thousand men under his command – and Deḇorah went up with him. Jdg 4:11 and Ḥeḇer the Qĕynite, of the children of Ḥoḇaḇ the father-in-law of Mosheh, had separated himself from the Qĕynites and pitched his tent near the terebinth tree at Tsaʽanayim, which is beside Qeḏesh. Jdg 4:12 and they reported to Sisera that Baraq son of Aḇinoʽam had gone up to Mount Taḇor.
Jdg 4:13 So Sisera called all his chariots, nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people who were with him, from Ḥarosheth Haggoyim to the wadi Qishon. Jdg 4:14 and Deḇorah said to Baraq, “Rise up! For this is the day in which יהוה has given Sisera into your hand. Has not יהוה gone out before you?” And Baraq went down from Mount Taḇor with ten thousand men after him. Jdg 4:15 and יהוה destroyed Sisera and all his chariots and all his army with the edge of the sword before Baraq. and Sisera leaped from his chariot and fled away on foot. Jdg 4:16 but Baraq pursued the chariots and the army as far as Ḥarosheth Haggoyim, and all the army of Sisera fell by the edge of the sword, not one was left. Jdg 4:17 Sisera, meanwhile, had fled on foot to the tent of Yaʽĕl, the wife of Ḥeḇer the Qĕynite, for there was peace between Yaḇin sovereign of Ḥatsor and the house of Ḥeḇer the Qĕynite. Jdg 4:18 and Yaʽĕl went out to meet Sisera, and said to him, “Turn aside, my master, turn aside to me, do not fear.” So he turned aside with her into the tent, and she covered him with a blanket. Jdg 4:19 and he said to her, “Please give me a little water to drink, for I am thirsty.” So she opened a bottle of milk, and gave him a drink, and covered him. Jdg 4:20 and he said to her, “Stand at the door of the tent, and it shall be if anyone comes and asks you, and says, ‘Is there a man here?’ you shall say, ‘No.’ ”
Jdg 4:21 but Yaʽĕl, Ḥeḇer’s wife, took a tent peg and took a hammer in her hand, and went softly to him and drove the peg into the side of his head, and it went down into the ground – for he was fast asleep and exhausted – and he died.
Jdg 4:22 and see, as Baraq pursued Sisera, Yaʽĕl came out to meet him, and said to him, “Come, let me show you the man whom you are seeking.” And when he went into her tent, there lay Sisera, dead with the peg in the side of his head.
Jdg 4:23 and on that day Elohim humbled Yaḇin sovereign of Kenaʽan in the presence of the children of Yisra’ĕl.
Jdg 4:24 and the hand of the children of Yisra’ĕl grew stronger and stronger against Yaḇin sovereign of Kenaʽan, until they had cut off Yaḇin sovereign of Kenaʽan. Jdg 5:1 and on that day Deḇorah and Baraq son of Aḇinoʽam sang, saying,
Jdg 5:2 “For leaders leading in Yisra’ĕl, for the people volunteering, bless יהוה! Jdg 5:3 “Hear, O sovereigns! Give ear, O princes! I, I do sing to יהוה; I sing praise to יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl. Jdg 5:4יהוה, when You went out from Sĕʽir, when You stepped from the field of Eḏom, the earth shook and the heavens poured, the clouds also poured water. Jdg 5:5 “The mountains flowed at the presence of יהוה, this Sinai, at the presence of יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl. Jdg 5:6 “In the days of Shamgar, the son of Anath, in the days of Yaʽĕl, the highways were deserted, and the travellers went in crooked ways.
Jdg 5:7 “Leadership ceased, it ceased in Yisra’ĕl, until I, Deḇorah, arose – a mother in Yisra’ĕl arose. Jdg 5:8 “They chose new mighty ones, then fighting was in the gates! Neither a shield nor spear was seen among forty thousand in Yisra’ĕl.
Jdg 5:9 “My heart is towards the lawgivers of Yisra’ĕl, the volunteers among the people. Bless יהוה! Jdg 5:10 “You who ride on white donkeys, you who sit on rich carpets, and you who walk along the way, declare it!Jdg 5:11 “By the voice of shouters, between the places of drawing water, there they recount the righteous acts of יהוה, the righteous acts of His leadership in Yisra’ĕl; then the people of יהוה shall go down to the gates. Jdg 5:12 “Wake up, wake up, Deḇorah! Wake up, wake up, sing a song! Arise, Baraq, and lead your captives’ away, O son of Aḇinoʽam! Jdg 5:13 “Then He set the remnant to rule the nobles; יהוה came down for me against the mighty ones. Jdg 5:14 “Out of Ephrayim their root is against Amalĕq. After you, Binyamin, with your peoples, out of Maḵir lawgivers came down, and out of Zeḇulun those who handle the scribe’s reed. Jdg 5:15 “And the heads of Yissasḵar were with Deḇorah. And as Yissasḵar, so was Baraq sent into the valley under his command. Among the divisions of Re’uḇĕn there were great searchings of heart.
Jdg 5:16 “Why did you remain among the sheepfolds, to hear the bleatings of the flocks? The divisions of Re’uḇĕn have great searchings of heart. Jdg 5:17 “Gilʽaḏ remained beyond the Yardĕn, and why did Dan remain on ships? Ashĕr continued at the seashore, and remained by its landing places. Jdg 5:18 “Zeḇulun is a people who risked their lives to the point of death, Naphtali also, on the heights of the field. Jdg 5:19 “Sovereigns came, they fought, then the sovereigns of Kenaʽan fought in Taʽanaḵ, by the waters of Meḡiddo; they took no spoils of silver. Jdg 5:20 “From the heavens they fought; the stars from their courses fought against Sisera. Jdg 5:21 “The wadi of Qishon swept them away, that age-old wadi, the wadi of Qishon. O my being, you have trampled in strength! Jdg 5:22 “Then stamped hoofs of horses, with the galloping, galloping of his steeds. Jdg 5:23 ‘Curse Mĕroz,’ said a messenger of יהוה, ‘curse, curse its inhabitants, because they did not come to the help of יהוה, to the help of יהוה among the mighty.’ Jdg 5:24Blessed above women is Yaʽĕl, the wife of Ḥeḇer the Qĕynite – above women in tents she is blessed. Jdg 5:25 “He asked for water, she gave milk; she brought out curdled milk in a bowl for nobles. Jdg 5:26 “She stretched her hand to the tent peg, and her right hand to the workmen’s hammer. Then she pounded Sisera, she smashed his head, she pierced and struck through the side of his head. Jdg 5:27 “Between her feet he bowed, he fell, he lay still; between her feet he bowed, he fell; where he bowed, there he fell – destroyed. Jdg 5:28 “Through the window the mother of Sisera looked, and cried out through the lattice, ‘Why does his chariot delay to come? Why have the steps of his chariots tarried?’ Jdg 5:29 “The wise ones of her princesses answered her, indeed, she answered herself, Jdg 5:30 ‘Do they not find and divide the spoil: a girl or two for each man; a spoil of dyed work for Sisera, a spoil of dyed work embroidered, dyed work richly embroidered for the necks of the looter?’ Jdg 5:31 “So do all Your enemies perish, O יהוה! But let those who love Him be like the sun rising in its might!” And the land had rest forty years…….Joh 6:22 On the next day, the crowd that was standing on the other side of the sea saw that there was no other boat there except that one into which His taught ones had entered, and that יהושע had not entered the boat with His taught ones, but His taught ones went away alone – Joh 6:23 but other boats came from Kinnereth, near the place where they ate bread after the Master had given thanks – Joh 6:24 therefore when the crowd saw that יהושע was not there, nor His taught ones, they themselves also entered into the boats and came to Kephar Naḥum, seeking יהושע. Joh 6:25 and having found Him on the other side of the sea, they asked Him, “Rabbi, when did You come here?” Joh 6:26 יהושע answered them and said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were satisfied. Joh 6:27 “Do not labor for the food that is perishing, but for the food that is remaining to everlasting life, which the Son of Aḏam shall give you,1 for the Father, Elohim, has set His seal on Him.” Footnote: 1See vv. 35, 48, 51, 58, and Mt. 4:4.Joh 6:28 So they said to Him, “What should we do to work the works of Elohim?” Joh 6:29 יהושע answered and said to them, “This is the work of Elohim, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” Joh 6:30 So they said to Him, “What sign then would You do, so that we see and believe You? What would You do? Joh 6:31 “Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, as it has been written, ‘He gave them bread out of the heaven to eat.’ ” Joh 6:32 Therefore יהושע said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, Mosheh did not give you the bread out of the heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread out of the heaven.
Joh 6:33 “For the bread of Elohim is He who comes down out of the heaven and gives life to the world.” Joh 6:34 So they said to Him, “Master, give us this bread always.” Joh 6:35 and יהושע said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall not get hungry at all, and he who believes in Me shall not get thirsty at all. Joh 6:36 “But I said to you that you have seen Me, and still do not believe. Joh 6:37 “All that the Father gives Me shall come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I shall by no means cast out. Joh 6:38 “Because I have come down out of the heaven, not to do My own desire, but the desire of Him who sent Me.Joh 6:39 “This is the desire of the Father who sent Me, that all He has given Me I should not lose of it, but should raise it in the last day. Joh 6:40 “And this is the desire of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him should possess everlasting life and I shall raise him up in the last day.”Here we find an interesting situation in the dialogue between the followers and Yehoshua:
Joh 6:28 So they (the followers) said to Him (Yehoshua), “What should we do to work the works of Elohim?”
Joh 6:29 יהושע answered and said to them, “This is the work of Elohim, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” Can you see the connection to Moshe, this helps us to understand that 1400 years later the situation remain the same: Exo 4:1 and Moses answered and said, but, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, YHWH hath not appeared unto thee. Exo 4:2 and YHWH said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod. Exo 4:3 and he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it. Exo 4:4 and YHWH said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and bled became a rod in his hand: Exo 4:5 that they may believe that YHWH Elohim of their fathers, the Elohim of Abraham, the Elohim of Isaac, and the Elohim of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee. Exo 19:9 and YHWH said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee forever. And Moses told the words of the people unto YHWH.
Do we belong to those following Messiah יהושע eating the Bread of life daily or are we still having our battle against Amalek when doubt come upon us, because we have not fed ourselves on the Bread of Life, יהושע Messiah? It is still time to correct ourselves and prepare the ground of our heart to receive the seed of life and bring forth fruits or righteousness.  Saying NO to doubt or to false doctrines of men, studying the Torah not only during the Shabbat but in our daily life and putting what we have learned into action in our daily life!
May יהוה and our Master יהושע be with you all as you walk in the Torah of liberty!
