13 PARASHA SH'MOT - NAMES

13 Parsha Sh’mot – Names -
Sh’mot 1:1-6:1
Haftorah
Yrmeyahu 1:1-2:3, Yesha’yahu 27:6-28:13, 29:22-23
Acts 7:17-43

Daniel ben Ya'acov Israel

We have now left behind the first part of the Torah, the book of the Beginning (B’reshit). It is with "B'reshit" (the Beginning) that all started. We need to know the transition between the book of B’reshit and the book of Sh’mot (Exodus) in order to understand and be able to see the “sod” (mystery, deep meaning) revealed in our days. Once again we are going to dig in the book of Yasher who will help us to understand.
The book of Sh’mot heralds the birth of Moshe who will be יהוה’s hand to deliver the children of Israel from the bondage of Mitsrayim (Egypt). .......
Children of Israel = all the twelve children of Ya’acov and their descendants more numerous as the sand of the sea...............
Gen 32:9 And Yaʽaqoḇ said, “O Elohim of my father Aḇraham and Elohim of my father Yitsḥaq, יהוה who said to me, ‘Return to your land and to your relatives, and I do good to you,’ Gen 32:10 “I do not deserve the least of all the kind acts and all the truth which You have shown Your servant, for I passed over this Yardĕn with my staff, and now I have become two groups.
Gen 32:11 “Deliver me, I pray, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Ěsaw, for I fear him, lest he come and shall smite me and the mother with the children. Gen 32:12 “For You said, ‘I shall certainly do good to you, and shall make your seed as the sand of the sea, which are too numerous to count.’ ”
This promise was made to Ya’acov as a confirmation of the promise done to Abraham by יהוה.....Gen 22:17 that I shall certainly bless you (Abraham), and I shall certainly increase your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is on the seashore, and let your seed possess the gate of their enemies.
יהוה Elohim fulfil always his promises even when it take time like here centuries. Everything comes “in His time”! The book of "B'reshit" gave us the account of creation, not only the account of creation but also the overall plan of salvation and time frame for mankind to bring this plan to fruition in its different steps. Too often have Christians and others scholars neglected to dig behind the letter in order to see what יהוה has prepared before the creation in order that his Name will be glorify and all men be made liars before him who do not believe in his Word. What does the scriptures says about science?
1Ti 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
1Ti 6:21 which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Favour be with thee. . .Sha'ul (Paul) tells clearly Timothy to keep himself from so called science because he knew that the truth is the Torah.
The science as spoken by Sh'aul is not as we understand the word today, here the explanation from ISBE:
world, directly and immediately, without the intervention of any secondary laws. “Science” in the modern sense of the word, as the discovery and orderly classification and exposition of the phenomena and of the laws of Nature, is not found either in the Old Testament or the New Testament unless the passage in Daniel be interpreted as meaning the scientific knowledge which the learned men of Babylon possessed of mathematics and astronomy, etc. See also Act_7:22. To the Hebrew mind all natural phenomena meant the working of the hand of God in the world, directly and immediately, without the intervention of any secondary laws.
“Science” is the translation of the Greek "gnōsis", which in the New Testament is usually rendered “knowledge.” The science here referred to was a higher knowledge of doctrine and divine things, which false teachers alleged that they possessed, and of which they boasted. It was an incipient form of Gnosticism, and it prevailed to a considerable extent in the assemblies of proconsular Asia, e.g. in Colosse and Ephesus. Timothy is put on his guard against the teaching of this "gnosis" falsely so called, for it set itself in opposition to the gospel.
Science: Srong's # G1108 γνῶσις gnōsis gno'-sis................From G1097; knowing (the act), that is, (by implication) knowledge: - knowledge, science.   G1097; ginōskō ghin-oce'-ko
A prolonged form of a primary verb; to “know” (absolutely), in a great variety of applications and with many implications (as shown at left, with others not thus clearly expressed): - allow, be aware (of), feel, (have) known (-ledge), perceive, be resolved, can speak, be sure, understand
Are not today all these false Pastors, teachers, and prophets from Christianity claiming to have receive "higher knowledge" (Gnosis), boasting about revelation, and rejecting the Torah? It is amazing that TV programs show so much concerning the so call "scientist researches", having all the same purpose: To try to explain in a rational way that what the Bible tells is due to man tradition, myths, and belief brought by the traditions of the elders having nothing to do with reality. Is it not the work of the Anti-Messiah trying to remove the truth of the scriptures by their alleged presumptions?  It doesn't matter how the Torah came to us, because יהוה knows how to bring his "dabar" (Word) to us. He knew what will be and how the enemy (HaSatan) would try to bring confusion among יהוה's people. Today we have the fulfilment of יהושע's words:
Luk 18:8………………….Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
Mat 7:13 enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:  Mat 7:14 because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
In these two verses יהושע speaks words of perplexity "shall he find faith on the earth" and "few there be that find the way"!  ......Today many profess to believe "G-d" in a certain way, especially among all Christian denominations; the same is to be found among the Muslim and even in Judaism. The common point between these three forms of belief is the belief in one G-d but by their works, deny his power. I don't mention all the religions having many g-ds which of course are idolatry.  Today we find ourselves in the same cycle as it was under Moshe as we are going to see in this parsha (portion). The world today reflects the same situation as it was under Moshe. We need to dig in order to see. I will help you see something which not so many have seen. At the time Pharaoh increase pressure on the Children of Israel it was after the last son of Ya'acov die. The Book of Yasher brings testimony of the account.  Today the modern "Pharaoh" of the world is called "The Anti-Messiah" or "opposite to Messiah" and reigns over the all world. Today's recipe is "more work for more money" (President Nicolas Sarkosy, France). People are suffering loaded under more and more taxes making their own "bricks" without "straw" while those from the Governments are living in opulence and spend money with the leaders of this world, no matter if they are communist, socialist, or from the right wings, they all have the same G-d "Mammon"!
Today all Apostles have followed our Adon (Master) יהושע waiting for the appointed time to come back with him to establish יהוה's Kingdom.  In the collective mind, many errors have been constrain by HaSatan using a powerful tool "false theology", but thanks be to our Elohim יהוה Zebaoth who according to his own purpose open the understanding of some of his children through Messiah יהושע in order to bring those from Ya'acov Household to the right path. Repetition is obligatory in cycle:
Luk 24:44 and he (יהושע) said unto them, these are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the Torah of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Luk 24:45 then (after having spoken these words) opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
There was a need for יהושע to open the understanding of the talmidin (disciples). Today we also need to get our understanding to get open in order to leave the doctrines of men and learn in the Torah what יהוה want us to know. I have heard from fellow brothers who keep the Shabbat and the Feast, saying that we don't have need any more to learn Torah! What a pity it is when we see how the all world is walking after the Anti-Messiah looking for Hedonism (to satisfy the desire of the flesh) and for humanitarianism.  Humanitarianism: The doctrine that man's obligations are limited to, and dependent alone upon, man and the human relations. Also the distinctive tenet (doctrine, dogma) of the humanitarians in denying the divinity of Messiah; also, the whole system of doctrine based upon this view of Messiah....If you give ear, you will hear many times in TV people speaking of Humanity, "what to do for the all humanity", "how to get food for humanity", "how to save Humanity from plagues" and the list is long. Behind these words we see tremendous increase of poverty, lack of food, explosion of price for daily food………….
If we can understand the Torah, we will get our eyes open and see what marvellous work יהוה is doing in our days. What does the Word says?
Hab 2:4 behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.  Sha'ul (Paul) explains what is faith:
Heb 11:1 now faith is the substance (confidence) of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Substance: Strong's# G5287 ὑπόστασις hupostasis hoop-os'-tas-is    From a compound of G5259 and G2476; a setting under (support), that is, (figuratively) concretely essence, or abstractly assurance (objectively or subjectively): - confidence, confident, person, substance............
Evidence: Strong's # G1650 ἔλεγχος elegchos el'-eng-khos From G1651; proof, conviction: - evidence, reproof.
Where these assurance and proof are; is it not in יהושע's resurrection which יהוה displayed in the face of the all world? We will see in this first parsha Sh'mot (Exodus) what happened to our forefathers and how it is in its substance fully connected to our today' situation. To be able to see this fact, we need to ask the right questions and see and understand יהושע' work.
*  1. What did יהושע?
*  2. At what time did יהושע came?
*  3. What was the first purpose of his work?
*  4. Was he not the prophet announced by Yehowah?
*  5. What was the deliverance brought by יהושע at his first advent?
*  6. What will be the deliverance at his second advent?
If we can answer these few questions, we will get a better understanding and no fall into the trap of man's doctrine.
Many years I followed man's doctrines because of ignorance. After years of bondage, I gave myself to search the Word and to meditation with prayer, asking our heavenly Father for the right understanding. This is I am convinced the only way to get the right understanding. Please don't misunderstand me, I don't say that it is wrong to read from others brothers so as you may read from me right now, I am not so pretentious, in many of my text I have mentioned names of brothers who were good help to discover the truth before I could walk following the Ruach HaQodesh: This verse I know, many will say that I don't understand what Yochanan (John) was saying, but let us read:
1Jn 2:26 these things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
1Jn 2:27 but the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. Yochanan says, "you need not that any man teaches you". At this time Yochanan was writing there were the "Gnostics" pretending to have the secret knowledge and enlightening
Adam Clarke a Christian scholar writes in his commentary: 1Jn 2:27  But the anointing which ye have received - That ointment, the gifts of the Holy Spirit, mentioned 1Jo_2:20 (note).
Ye need not that any man teach you - The Gnostics, who pretended to the highest illumination, could bring no proof that they were divinely taught, nor had they anything in their teaching worthy the acceptance of the meanest "Christian"; therefore they had no need of that, nor of any other teaching but that which the same anointing teacheth, the same Spirit from whom they had already received the light of the glory of God, in the face of "Jesus Christ". Whatever that taught, they needed; and whatever those taught whose teaching was according to this Spirit, they needed. St. John does not say that those who had once received the teaching of the Divine Spirit had no farther need of the ministry of the Gospel; no, but he says they had no need of such teaching as their false teachers proposed to them; nor of any other teaching that was different from that anointing, i.e. the teaching of the Spirit of God. No man, howsoever holy, wise, or pure, can ever be in such a state as to have no need of the Gospel ministry: they who think so give the highest proof that they have never yet learned of Messiah or his Spirit.
Question: Who are the false teachers today?
What does יהושע told his disciples?
Joh 16:13 howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he (she) will guide you into all truth: for he (she) shall not speak of himself (herself); but whatsoever he (she) shall hear, that shall he (she) speak: and he (she) will shew you things to come.
Guide: Strong's # G3594 ὁδηγέω hodēgeō hod-ayg-eh'-o  From G3595; to show the way (literally or figuratively [teach]): - guide, lead......
If the Ruach HaQodesh (Set Apart Spirit) dwells in you he will guide, teach and lead you into all truth.
If we can answer the six questions above, we will be able to see the reason יהוה want us to study the Torah. Just spend time and discuss these questions and put the answer on a paper, don't rush but try to get your mind on these points. You will be amazed that there is nothing new under the sun (Eccl 1:9) and that all runs according to what Elohim foretold in the Book of B'reshit. With that in mind let us go back to our today's parsha and learn what the life's condition of Ya'acov's descendants at this time was. Stop to read the Torah as a simple Book or even as just Elohim inspired book, but much more as the mirror of our own life given unto us by appointed messengers chosen by Elohim. The Mitsraytes (Egyptians) have been blessed and protected from their enemies during Yoseph’s life and up to the time the last son of Ya’acov died as we will see. I want us to see that history repeat itself and that one of the worse attribute of man is to “forget” easily. The parsha start giving the name of Ya’acov’s children who came to Mitsrayim (Egypt), “seventy beings” (verse 5).Verses 6 to 10 tell us that Yospeh died and that the Mitsrayites plan to put the children of Israel under bondage. Details are given in the book of Yasher and we will see that while Ya’acov' sons were living, the inhabitants of Mitsrayim were blessed by יהוה.
You remember that the last chapter of the book of B’reshit speaks of the book of Yoseph. He was not the last to die in Mistrayim (Egypt). Levi was the last of Ya'acov' sons to die.

Spiritual interpretation:  The children of Israel (Ya’acov): twelve in number. Physical situation
The Apostle: twelve in number. Spiritual application .While the children of Ya’acov were alive none of the Mitsrayites (Egyptians) dared to do anything against them. While the Apostles were alive none of the “Christians” (Roman Catholic Church) dared to change the doctrine of Messiah. Remember that Mitsrayim / Egypt is a microcosm of the world today.
Sh’mot (Ex.)
8 we read that there was a sovereign (King) who didn’t know Yospeh.
Let us look at the meaning of the word “know”:
Know:Strong’s # H3045 Yada ידע written yod, dalet, ayin;
I will quote Brown, Driver, Briggs’ definitions:
1) to know .....1a) (Qal).....1a1) to know1a1a) to know, learn to know.....1a1b) to perceive
1a1c) to perceive and see, find out and discern .....1a1d) to discriminate, distinguish
1a1e) to know by experience .....1a1f) to recognise, admit, acknowledge, confess
1a1g) to consider ....1a2) to know, be acquainted with ....1a3) to know (a person carnally)
1a4) to know how, be skilful in....1a5) to have knowledge, be wise ....1b) (Niphal)
1b1) to be made known, be or become known, be revealed....1b2) to make oneself known
1b3) to be perceived....1b4) to be instructed....1c) (Piel) to cause to know....1d) (Poal) to cause to know
1e) (Pual)….1e1) to be known....1e2) known, one known, acquaintance (participle)
1f) (Hiphil) to make known, declare....1g) (Hophal) to be made known....1h) (Hiphael) to make oneself known, reveal oneself....
The sovereign of Egypt didn’t find out and discern, or knew by experience, recognise, admit, acknowledge, confess and consider, was acquainted with, had knowledge of Yoseph and his brethren, nor was he interested to enquire. Tell me how it is today? Do you think that the rulers of the world have find out, or can discern or know by having experienced, or admit and acknowledge, confess and consider or are acquainted with יהושע Messiah? The answer is the same as for the King of Mitsrayim: NO! They don’t....The one they know is “Jesus” lawless and antinomian (against the Torah). The one taught and supported by the Roman Catholic Church.
Antinomian: One who maintains that, under the gospel dispensation, the law (Torah) is of no use or obligation, but that faith alone is necessary to salvation. The sect of Antinomians originated with John Agricola, in Germany, about the year 1535 (ISBE).
Sh’lomo says that there is nothing new under heaven, what was, is that which will be. (Eccl. 1:9).
While the children of Israel (Apostles) were alive, people could receive blessing from heaven, through Yoseph / יהושע....Now Yoseph / יהושע are gone, some to the grave, "sheol" (abode of the death) waiting for the resurrection, the others, to be with our Master who seat at the right hand of the Father until the time of restoration of all things come:
Act 3:20 and that He sends יהושע Messiah, pre-appointed for you, Act 3:21 whom heaven needs to receive until the times of restoration of all matters, of which Elohim spoke through the mouth of all His set-apart prophets since of old.
The time of Moshe and the children of Israel in Mitsrayim / Egypt was a shadow of our life today. We my brothers and sisters are living in Mitsrayim the land of oppression and we cry unto יהוה for our deliverance through יהושע Messiah.

The prophet Amos writes concerning Famine:
Amo 8:11 Behold, the days come (not now but in the future), saith יהוה Elohim, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of יהוה.
The last famine coming upon the world is a famine of “hearing the words of יהוה”. If you check around you, you will see that people pretend, have a form of godliness but denied the power (2nd Timot.3:5), following their own pernicious (malicious, insidious) ways.  Last Tuesday, January 20th 2009 I watched the world wide retransmission of Barak Obama’ vow, on Abraham Lincoln’s bible, during his investiture as the 44th President of the United States of America.   The Parsah tells us verse 8: “a new sovereign arose over Mitsrayim who did not know Yoseph (יהושע). Indeed Barak Obama swore by “G-d” not by the Name יהוה the Elohim of Israel but by “G-d” We all know that the “G-d” of this world is HaSatan. I saw a Gay Pastor been honoured by Mr. Obama with an invitation to take part to his investiture sermon. I saw another pastor Rick Warren, who leads people into New Age thinking, philosophy and manipulation asking before millions of people to “bless” Mr Obama in his way as US president.  Further I have seen in the French TV the week before the investiture, Journalist speaking in TV show about the “saviour of the world” calling Barak Obama “messiah”. Today in 2010 many in the US are against Barak Obama having lie concerning his birth in the US and reveal himself to be a muslim!
But you brothers and sisters you are not in darkness that that day should overtake you as a thief (1St Tessal.5:4)
While they celebrate and extol themselves, the children of Israel all around the world are suffering under the oppression. This is called tribulation:
2Th 1:4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the assembly of Elohim for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:  2Th 1:5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of Elohim, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of Elohim, for which ye also suffer:
Tribulation: Strong's # G2347 thlipsis thlip'-sis From G2346; pressure (literally or figuratively): - afflicted, (-tion), anguish, burdened, persecution, tribulation, trouble. G2346: thlibō thlee'-bo
Akin to the base of G5147; to crowd (literally or figuratively): - afflict, narrow, throng, suffer tribulation, trouble. ......
Can you see any difference with our forefathers in Mitsrayim? There is none, as it was, so it is today. But יהוה has delivered our forefathers and he will do it again for those who wait for him, when he will sent our Master יהושע Messiah very soon (read the midrash on the “sh’mita cycle").  Once we have read the P’shat literal level we look into the “remez” to see the hint to יהושע Messiah/ I know there are many who will tell you that we have only to look to the text as it is written in the literal sense! That’s not what the scriptures say (read Psalm 25:14, the secret (sod) of יהוה is with them that fear him, and He will shew them His covenant ...
Secret: Strong’s# H5475 סוד sôd sode written samech, vav, dalet, From H3245; a session, that is, company of persons (in close deliberation); by implication intimacy, consultation, a secret: - assembly, counsel, inward, secret (counsel). Let see if it differs from יהושע’s teaching:
Mark 4:11 and He said to them, “To you it has been given to know the secret of the reign of Elohim, but to those who are outside, all are done in parables,
Secret: Strong’s # G3466 mustērion Thayer Definition: 1) Hidden thing, secret, mystery 1a) generally mysteries, religious secrets, confided only to the initiated and not to ordinary mortals 1b) a hidden or secret thing, not obvious to the understanding 1c) a hidden purpose or counsel
1c1) secret will
1c1a) of men
1c1b) of God: the secret counsels which govern God in dealing with the righteous, which are hidden from ungodly and wicked men but plain to the godly
2) In rabbinic writings, it denotes the mystic or hidden sense
We see that the meaning doesn’t change. The “sod”, “musterion” is the secret hidden by Elohim for those who love Him. Revelation comes by studying Torah and prayer, living a life according to His will (Qadosh life) through Messiah יהושע. The difference between our forefathers before יהושע came and those living after יהושע came (since the time of the apostles, you and me) is explained by Sha'ul /Paul to the brethren in Corinth in 1 Corint. 15: 45-48.
1Co 15:45 and so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam (יהושע) was made a quickening spirit. 1Co 15:46 howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. 1Co 15:47 the first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is יהושע from heaven. 1Co 15:48 as is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. .....Remember in the original text there is no repetition of the verses numbers, sometime it is a long sentence. If the verses numbers are a good tool to remember the place, sometime it is also a problem, because looking as it is a new sentence which was not intended by the writer.
So could have been written from Sha'ul in the original: ……..and so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam (יהושע) was made a quickening spirit, howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual, the first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is יהושע from heaven, as is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.......
Can you see how the sentence change and become more coherent in its meaning? This happen throughout the scriptures been accentuated by adding capital letters where it is not required thus influencing the reader in his subconscient to think that it is a new sentence although been one with the former sentence! In the old Hebrew there was no capital letter used. If you try to remember this point during your reading you will see changes in your understanding. The first man (Adam) and his followers represent the natural man, the carnal man, those who live in the flesh entangle with passion and worldly lust.(1st Yochan;2:15-16). The second man (Adam) verse 47 is the one who follow יהושע in all his way. With this in mind, we can better understand, what happen in Moshe's life time. People were carnal unable to see what Moshe saw because he was devoted to do יהוה’s will as were Aaron and many others after them (Yehoshua son of Nun, Caleb, David, Nathan, Sh’mu’el, and all the prophets). We brothers we have been chosen in Him, יהושע Messiah the last Adam before the creation of the world to do his will. (Eph 1:4, 1st Kefa 1:2) and to walk in יהושע's steps!
It is amazing to see today a similar situation as it was in Moshe’s day. The book of Sh’mot is what יהוה want us to know concerning our personal “deliverance from bondage” through יהושע as it was for the Children of Israel under Moshe. 1:7 "and the children of Israel", Ya’acov descendants as you and me are by birth or and by covenant, were 1) fruitful, 2) increased, 3) multiplied, 4) waxed exceedingly mighty. The land was filled with them. How the world is today, is it not filled with the descendants of Ya’acov, Itzahk and Abraham? A multitude of people and only a remnant will be saved
Isa 1:9 Unless יהוה of hosts had left to us a small remnant, we would have become like Seḏom (Sodom), we would have been made like Amorah (Gomorrah).
Isa 11:11 and it shall be in that day that יהוה sets His hand again a second time to recover the remnant of His people who are left, from Ashshur and from Mitsrayim, from Pathros and from Kush, from Ěylam and from Shinʽar, from Ḥamath and from the islands of the sea.
Isa 46:3 “Listen to Me, O house of Yaʽaqoḇ, and all the remnant of the house of Yisra’ĕl, who are borne from the belly, who are carried from the womb:
Jer 23:3Therefore I shall gather the remnant of My flock out of all the lands where I have driven them, and shall bring them back to their fold. And they shall bear and increase. Eze 6:8 “But I shall leave a remnant, in that some of you shall escape the sword among the gentiles (Goy, nations), when you are scattered throughout the lands.
Joe 2:32 and it shall come to pass, whosoever shall call on the name of יהוה shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as יהוה hath said, and in the remnant whom יהוה shall call.
Rom 9:27 And Yeshayahu cries out on behalf of Yisra’ĕl, “Though the number of the children of Yisra’ĕl be as the sand of the sea, the remnant shall be saved.
Rom 11:5 So therefore also, at this present time a remnant according to the choice of favour has come to be.
Rev 11:13 and in that hour there came to be a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. and in the earthquake seven thousand men were killed, and the rest (remnant) became afraid and gave esteem to the Elohim of the heaven.
Rev 12:17 and the dragon (HaSatan) was enraged with the woman, and he went to fight with the remnant of her seed, those guarding the commands of Elohim and possessing the witness of יהושע Messiah.
Remnant: Strong’s #H8300 שׂריד   śârîyd saw-reed 'written shin;resh,daleth
From H8277; a survivor: -  X alive, left, remain (-ing), remnant, rest. H8277 śârad saw-rad'
A primitive root; properly to puncture (compare H8279), that is, (figuratively through the idea of slipping out) to escape or survive: - remain. Webster definition:  REM'NANT, n. [contracted from remanent. See Remain.] 1. Residue; that which is left after the separation, removal or destruction of a part.
The remnant that are left of the captivity.
Neh 1. 2. That which remains after a part is done, performed, told or passed.
Are we among these remnants, those who keep the truth through and in Messiah יהושע? The word exhorts us again and again to keep the truth for this is salvation unto those who believe.
Moshe gave the living word to the children of Israel, and they were seeking the natural food; יהושע give us the living food which is the “Torah”. To follow יהושע is to “eat the word of life” (Yochanan 6:53-56)
The world today, a form of Mitsrayim (Egypt) is full of paganism, idolatry and is filled with the descendants of Israel. Some “Christians preachers” boast themselves that they are the “greatest religion in the world”, which of course do not conform with the remnant. It is not the quantity but the quality of the remnant which count to יהוה. Are you among these remnants, who have left everything behind to follow יהושע Messiah? Read what the prophet Yeshayahu (Isaiah) wrote under the Ruach HaQodesh (Set apart Spirit):
Isa 11:11 and it shall be in that day that יהוה sets His hand again a second time to recover the remnant of His people who are left, from Ashshur and from Mitsrayim, from Pathros and from Kush, from Ěylam and from Shinʽar, from Ḥamath and from the islands of the sea. ……a second time………………………….and from the islands of the sea.
In other words he was saying: "after I (Elohim) having made it with Moshe, I will do it again by the hand of יהושע and will recover the remnant of my people form Ashhur…………………………and from the place of numerous people.
The "Sea" been a metaphor for numerous people, "Island" for far places and not always only Island as we understand it today…………………
Exo 1:1 and these are the names of the children of Yisra’ĕl who came to Mitsrayim with Yaʽaqoḇ, each one with his household:  Exo 1:2 Re’uḇĕn, Shimʽon, Lĕwi, and Yehuḏah;
Exo 1:3 Yissasḵar, Zeḇulun, and Binyamin;  Exo 1:4 Dan and Naphtali, Gaḏ and Ashĕr.  Exo 1:5 and all those who were descendants of Yaʽaqoḇ were seventy beings, as Yosĕph was already in Mitsrayim.  Exo 1:6 and Yosĕph died, and all his brothers, and all that generation.  Exo 1:7 and the children of Yisra’ĕl bore fruit and increased very much, multiplied and became very strong, and the land was filled with them.  Exo 1:8 Then a new sovereign arose over Mitsrayim, who did not know Yosĕph,  Exo 1:9 and he said to his people, “See, the people of the children of Yisra’ĕl are more and stronger than we,  Exo 1:10 come, let us act wisely towards them, lest they increase, and it shall be when fighting befalls us, that they shall join our enemies and fight against us, and shall go up out of the land.” .........
Verses 8-10. A new king who do not know Yoseph! This is a very deep statement. This king unlike the book of Yasher , Moshe doesn’t give his name.  Moshe want us to concentrate on the title not on the name. A king a ruler like, one who doesn’t want to hear from Elohim like we have today: The UN or United Nation with and interesting Gemetria: The letter "U" is the letter “vav” in Hebrew with the Gemetria6” and “N” is “nun” in Hebrew with the gemetria 50 or 700 when it is the final letter. So we have U.N. 6+700= 706 = 7+0+6= 13 = the number of rebellion, if we take 50 as final number we have: 6+5+0 = 11 the number for incomplete governance! Is that a coincidence? I let you the answer. U.N is a popular and well known abbreviation for UNITED NATIONS so that we can take it as a full entity and therefore look at the gemetria value as acceptable.  The UN decides matters in the all world. We heard these last days, after Israel fought against the Hamas in Gaza to destroy their weapons that the UN through its head spoke of bringing the guilt of “humanitarian aggression” before the International Court of Justice the institution in La Haag Netherland who has been established by the U.N. to rule the so call “crime against humanity” Tell me who are the men with wealth today, who are the afflicted, where does they affliction comes from?
Psa 34:19 many are the evils of the righteous1, but יהוה delivers him out of them all.
2Ti 3:11 the persecutions, the sufferings, which came to me at Antioch, at Ikonion, and at Lustra – what persecutions I bore. Yet out of them all the Master delivered me. 2Ti 3:12 and indeed, all those wishing to live reverently in Messiah יהושע, shall be persecuted.
The King James Version says: “those who want to live a godly life in Messiah יהושע ……
So brothers and sisters do not be amazed when affliction and persecution come upon you, rather turn to our Father and to our Master יהושע who will deliver us from all the trap of our enemies.
The affliction from the king of Mitsrayim / Egypt does not stop the children of Israel to multiply (verse12). The only way the Mitsrayites / Egyptians had against the children of Israel (carnal man) was to oppress them with hard bondage (verse 14). It is amazing to read this when today, since many years, the “elite group” of the World calculates and plans how to eradicate people from the world through i.e. wars, sickness, ethnic destruction, and other wicked plans like programmed pandemics. I want to show the reason why did the children of Israel were afflicted. This is not mentioned in the Torah. Remember what Sha'ul says that “all things work for goof to those who love Elohim” (Rom. 8:28) Did Sha'ul read the book of Yasher?  We look now in the book of Yasher (the Book of the Just) chapter 63: 6. Therefore all Egypt began from that day forth to embitter the lives of the sons of Jacob, and to afflict them with all manner of hard labour, because they had not known their ancestors who had delivered them in the days of the famine. 7. and this was also from YHWH, for the children of Israel, to benefit them in their latter days, in order that all the children of Israel might know YHWH Eloheinu.
8. and in order to know the signs and mighty wonders which YHWH would do in Egypt on account of his people Israel, in order that the children of Israel might fear YHWH Elohim of their ancestors, and walk in all his ways, they and their seed after them all the days............
There is a lot we can see here. First it was יהוה’s plan, because the Mistrayites had not known the children of Israel’s ancestors, they were not acquainted with them and had forgotten what they did by the hand of Yoseph to deliver them from the famine. It was also from יהוה for the children of Israel “you and me” in the later days (the days we are living today) in order that we might know יהוה Elohim who sent Moshe the forerunner of יהושע to fear him and to trust him. When Moshe came at the age of 40 and return at the age of 80, the children of Israel (carnal man) had “forgotten” the way of יהוה, they were not like Abraham, Itzahk, Ya’acov who were taught by Noach and his sons Shem and Eber. Today people from the world are taught by the philosophy and knowledge of man, not by the truth which is the Torah. The children of Israel are well present as a multitude among the nations in the all world, but only a remnant will be saved. This is fact and many will be deceived. Many think that our brethren from Yehudah will be deceived because they reject “Jesus” or even יהושע we know that they also will embrace the truth that is in יהושע at the right time. We need to pray for our brethren, may יהוה pour on them the spirit of supplication as it become worse in Jerusalem.
Do you think so, or rather, that those who will be deceived are those who trust in the false Messiah “Jesus” the law breaker and Torah-less Messiah. Just try to talk to these people and you will see how they vehemently reject the truth, following the spirit of deception, boasting to be “free from the law”, “save only by grace”, that the law “has been fulfilled by "Jesus”, accusing you of legalism and bondage, trying to do your own righteousness. We see that the book of Yasher says that this happened in order to profit us (the children of Israel) in the later days (verse 7). If we make a research concerning the later days, we will see that there is no mistake about the time of the later days.
Gen 49:1 and Yaʽaqoḇ called his sons and said, “Gather together, so that I declare to you what is to befall you in the last days:
Isa 2:2 and it shall be in the latter days that the mountain of the House of יהוה is established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills. And all nations shall flow to it.
Act 2:16 “But this is what was spoken by the prophet Yo’ĕl:
Act 2:17and it shall be in the last days, says Elohim, that I shall pour out of My Spirit on all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams,
2Ti 3:1 but know this, that in the last days hard times shall come.
2Pe 3:3 knowing this first: that mockers shall come in the last days with mocking, walking according to their own lusts,
Heb 1:2 has in these last days spoken to us by the Son, whom He has appointed heir of all, through* whom also He made the ages,
1Jn 2:18 Little children, it is the last hour. And as you have heard that the anti-messiah is coming, even now many anti-messiahs have come. This is how we know that it is the last hour.
*Through (also by): Strong's # G1223διά dia dee-ah'.........A primary preposition denoting the channel of an act; through (in very wide applications, local, causal or occasional). In composition it retains the same general import: - after, always, among, at, to avoid, because of (that), briefly, by, for (cause) . . . fore, from, in, by occasion of, of, by reason of, for sake, that, thereby, therefore, X though, through (-out), to, wherefore, with (-in). In composition it retains the same general import. So we could read the verse so:
Heb 1:2 has in these last days spoken to us by the Son (יהושע), whom He has appointed heir of all, "dia", because of, by reason of, for the sake of* whom also He made the ages,
This brings a tremendous change far from Christian doctrine of Trinity and the "G-d Jesus". Yochanan goes so far to call it “the last hour”......The last days started with the coming of יהושע Messiah, as we know that one day equal one thousand year, so the two last days equal the last two thousand years before the Second Advent. The book of Yasher says that it is for us that יהוה did what he did under Moshe’s time. We should think about that!
Exo 1:11 So they set slave-masters over them to afflict them with their burdens, and they built for Pharaoh supply cities, Pithom and Raʽamses. ...............
Names meaning according to Brown Driver and Briggs:
Pithom: Strong’s # “City of justice” one of the store-cities which the Pharaoh made the Israelites build
Ra’amses: Strong’s #H7486 Raamses or Rameses = “child of the sun”1) a city in lower Egypt built by Hebrew slaves; probably in Goshen.......“Child of the Sun”!
As we know the sun is part of the Mitsrayite religion as it is with the Roman Catholic Church with their Sunday worship”, and Easter (Ishtar) celebration and “Christ – mas” the “mass” for “Christ” to celebrate the rebirth of the sun after the winter solcist. Whose name is the name of the “Sun child” in Egypt /Mitsrayim, is it not “Horus” The son of Isis and Osiris? Horus the “all seeing eye”! The eye can be seen in the One US Dollar bill today on the top of the Pyramid, all symbol of the Lucifer worship of the “Illuminati”..........The children of Israel were forced to work for the mitsrayites to build this two cities, the “City of justice”, Pithom, and the city of “The child of the sun” Ra’amses. Today we have two cities who match with Pithom and Raamses:
Pithom is equal to New York (City of Justice) the seat of the U.N the organisation who rules the World affairs.....
Raamses is equal to Rome where the Vatican the city of the Mother of Harlots seats (Child of the Sun)...........
Exo 1:12 but the more they afflicted them, the more they increased and grew, and they were in dread of the children of Yisra’ĕl....
.For the account of the midwives we are going to read the account from Josephus an historian “Jews” who lived at יהושע’s time and wrote: ............
From “Antiquities of the Jews" Book 2 Chapter 9:NOW it happened that the Egyptians grew delicate and lazy, as to pains-taking, and gave themselves up to other pleasures (hedonism), and in particular to the love of gain. They also became very ill-affected towards the Hebrews, as touched with envy at their prosperity; for when they saw how the nation of the Israelites flourished, and were become eminent already in plenty of wealth, which they had acquired by their virtue and natural love of labour, they thought their increase was to their own detriment. And having, in length of time, forgotten the benefits they had received from Joseph, particularly the crown being now come into another family, they became very abusive to the Israelites, and contrived many ways of afflicting them; for they enjoined them to cut a great number of channels for the river, and to build walls for their cities and ramparts, that they might restrain the river, and hinder its waters from stagnating, upon its running over its own banks: they set them also to build pyramids, (17) and by all this wore them out; and forced them to learn all sorts of mechanical arts, and to accustom themselves to hard labour. And four hundred years did they spend under these afflictions*; for they strove one against the other which should get the mastery, the Egyptians desiring to destroy the Israelites by these labours, and the Israelites desiring to hold out to the end under them.
*This time period is from the time Abraham entered the land of Canaan until the deliverance through Moshe.
Josephus “Antiquities of the Jews” Book 2 chapter 15:” 2. They left Egypt in the month Xanthicus, on the fifteenth day of the lunar month; four hundred and thirty years after our forefather Abraham came into Canaan, but two hundred and fifteen years only after Jacob removed into Egypt. (28) It was the eightieth year of the age of Moses, and of that of Aaron three more. They also carried out the bones of Joseph with them, as he had charged his sons to do.and inconsolable to them. And this was the ill state they were in. But no one can be too hard for the purpose of God, though he contrive ten thousand subtle devices for that end; for this child, whom the sacred scribe foretold, was brought up and concealed from the observers appointed by the king; and he that foretold him did not mistake in the consequences of his preservation, which were brought to pass after the manner foll2. While the affairs of the Hebrews were in this condition, there was this occasion offered itself to the Egyptians, which made them more solicitous for the extinction of our nation. One of those sacred scribes, (18) who are very sagacious in foretelling future events truly, told the king, that about this time there would a child be born to the Israelites, who, if he were reared, would bring the Egyptian dominion low, and would raise the Israelites; that he would excel all men in virtue, and obtain a glory that would be remembered through all ages. Which thing was so feared by the king, that, according to this man's opinion, he commanded that they should cast every male child, which was born to the Israelites, into the river, and destroy it; that besides this, the Egyptian midwives (19) should watch the labours of the Hebrew women, and observe what is born, for those were the women who were enjoined to do the office of midwives to them; and by reason of their relation to the king, would not transgress his commands. He enjoined also, that if any parents should disobey him, and venture to save their male children alive, (20) they and their families should be destroyed. This was a severe affliction indeed to those that suffered it, not only as they were deprived of their sons, and while they were the parents themselves, they were obliged to be subservient to the destruction of their own children, but as it was to be supposed to tend to the extirpation of their nation, while upon the destruction of their children, and their own gradual dissolution, the calamity would become very hard owing: - ..............
Chapter 2 Moshe’s birth.
Before we go further I want to show something. During the time the children of Israel were afflicted by the Mitsaryites / Egyptians, one tribe was not, but let us read and understand:

Are we a “chosen generation”, a “royal priesthood” a ”purchased people” as it is written by Kefa (Peter) (1st Kefa 2:9), or are we like the other children of Israel “deceive” by the cunning evil plan of Mitsrayites / Egyptians / people from the world?
1Pe 2:9 but ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 1Pe 2:10 which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of YHWH: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Peculiar: Strong's # G4047 περιποίησις peripoiēsisper-ee-poy'-ay-sis.............From G4046; acquisition (the act or the thing); by extension preservation: - obtain (-ing), peculiar, purchased, possession, saving. .....
Now you can chose for yourselves if you are a “royal priesthood” Elohim acquisition, preservation, purchased possession or a slave in bondage of the world. If you are a royal priesthood, do not fear the modern Mitsrayites, they can’t do nothing against you stand firm, resist Satan and he will flee from you. Pharaoh is a picture of HaSatan, the enemy. The Former King of Egypt in Yoseph time was a picture of Elohim, now is successor has become a picture of Elohim's opponent HaSatan. Concerning the birth of Moshe, we all know that it was a divine appointment. First יהוה told Abram that his descendants would be 400 years in Egypt / Mitsrayim, but that he will remember them. We are going to look what Josephus and the book of Yasher tells us! Just be patient and read and you will see how sometime it is simple to understand and know more about our ancestors and our Elohim:

.Josephus “Antiquities of the Jews” Book 2 Chapter 9: 3. a man whose name was Amram, one of the nobler sort of the Hebrews, was afraid for his whole nation, lest it should fail, by the want of young men to be brought up hereafter, and was very uneasy at it, his wife being then with child, and he knew not what to do. Hereupon he betook himself to prayer to God; and entreated him to have compassion on those men who had nowise transgressed the laws of his worship, and to afford them deliverance from the miseries they at that time endured, and to render abortive their enemies' hopes of the destruction of their nation. Accordingly God had mercy on him, and was moved by his supplication. He stood by him in his sleep, and exhorted him not to despair of his future favours. He said further, that he did not forget their piety towards him, and would always reward them for it, as he had formerly granted his favour to their forefathers, and made them increase from a few to so great a multitude. He put him in mind, that when Abraham was come alone out of Mesopotamia into Canaan, he had been made happy, not only in other respects, but that when his wife was at first barren, she was afterwards by him enabled to conceive seed, and bare him sons. That he left to Ishmael and to his posterity the country of Arabia; as also to his sons by Ketura, Troglodytis; and to Isaac, Canaan. That by my assistance, said he, he did great exploits in war, which, unless you be yourselves impious, you must still remember. As for Jacob, he became well known to strangers also, by the greatness of that prosperity in which he lived, and left to his sons, who came into Egypt with no more than seventy souls, while you are now become above six hundred thousand. Know therefore that I shall provide for you all in common what is for your good, and particularly for thyself what shall make thee famous; for that child, out of dread of whose nativity the Egyptians have doomed the Israelite children to destruction, shall be this child of thine, and shall be concealed from those who watch to destroy him: and when he is brought up in a surprising way, he shall deliver the Hebrew nation from the distress they are under from the Egyptians. His memory shall be famous while the world lasts; and this not only among the Hebrews, but foreigners also: - all which shall be the effect of my favour to thee, and to thy posterity. He shall also have such a brother (Aaron), that he shall himself obtain my priesthood, and his posterity shall have it after him to the end of the world.
4. When the vision had informed him of these things, Amram awaked and told it to Jochebed who was his wife. And now the fear increased upon them on account of the prediction in Amram's dream; for they were under concern, not only for the child, but on account of the great happiness that was to come to him also. However, the mother's labour was such as afforded a confirmation to what was foretold by God; for it was not known to those that watched her, by the easiness of her pains, and because the throes of her delivery did not fall upon her with violence. And now they nourished the child at home privately for three months; but after that time Amram, fearing he should be discovered, and, by falling under the king's displeasure, both he and his child should perish, and so he should make the promise of God of none effect, he determined rather to trust the safety and care of the child to God, than to depend on his own concealment of him, which he looked upon as a thing uncertain, and whereby both the child, so privately to be nourished, and himself should be in imminent danger; but he believed that God would some way for certain procure the safety of the child, in order to secure the truth of his own predictions. When they had thus determined, they made an ark of bulrushes, after the manner of a cradle, and of a bigness sufficient for an infant to be laid in, without being too straitened: they then daubed it over with slime, which would naturally keep out the water from entering between the bulrushes, and put the infant into it, and setting it afloat upon the river, they left its preservation to God; so the river received the child, and carried him along. But Miriam, the child's sister, passed along upon the bank over against him, as her mother had bid her, to see whither the ark would be carried, where God demonstrated that human wisdom was nothing, but that the Supreme Being is able to do whatsoever he pleases: that those who, in order to their own security, condemn others to destruction, and use great endeavours about it, fail of their purpose; but that others are in a surprising manner preserved, and obtain a prosperous condition almost from the very midst of their calamities; those, I mean, whose dangers arise by the appointment of God. And, indeed, such providence was exercised in the case of this child, as showed the power of God.
We learn through the book of Yasher and the writings from Josephus that Myriam was working at the "Queen house" and so could observe what was going on...

Josephus “Antiquities of the Jews” Book 2:9
5. Thermuthis was the king's daughter. She was now diverting herself by the banks of the river; and seeing a cradle borne along by the current, she sent some that could swim, and bid them bring the cradle to her. When those that were sent on this errand came to her with the cradle, and she saw the little child, she was greatly in love with it, on account of its largeness and beauty; for God had taken such great care in the formation of Moses, that he caused him to be thought worthy of bringing up, and providing for, by all those that had taken the most fatal resolutions, on account of the dread of his nativity, for the destruction of the rest of the Hebrew nation. Thermuthis bid them bring her a woman that might afford her breast to the child; yet would not the child admit of her breast, but turned away from it, and did the like to many other women. Now Miriam was by when this happened, not to appear to be there on purpose, but only as staying to see the child; and she said, "It is in vain that thou, O queen, callest for these women for the nourishing of the child, who are no way of kin to it; but still, if thou wilt order one of the Hebrew women to be brought, perhaps it may admit the breast of one of its own nation." Now since she seemed to speak well, Thermuthis bid her procure such a one, and to bring one of those Hebrew women that gave suck. So when she had such authority given her, she came back and brought the mother, who was known to nobody there. And now the child gladly admitted the breast, and seemed to stick close to it; and so it was, that, at the queen's desire, the nursing of the child was entirely intrusted to the mother.
6. Hereupon it was that Thermuthis imposed this name Mouses upon him, from what had happened when he was put into the river; for the Egyptians call water by the name of Mo, and such as are saved out of it, by the name of Uses: so by putting these two words together, they imposed this name upon him. And he was, by the confession of all, according to God's prediction, as well for his greatness of mind as for his contempt of difficulties, the best of all the Hebrews, for Abraham was his ancestor of the seventh generation. For Moses was the son of Amram, who was the son of Caath, whose father Levi was the son of Jacob, who was the son of Isaac, who was the son of Abraham. Now Moses's understanding became superior to his age, nay, far beyond that standard; and when he was taught, he discovered greater quickness of apprehension than was usual at his age, and his actions at that time promised greater, when he should come to the age of a man. God did also give him that tallness, when he was but three years old, as was wonderful. And as for his beauty, there was nobody so unpolite as, when they saw Moses, they were not greatly surprised at the beauty of his countenance; nay, it happened frequently, that those that met him as he was carried along the road, were obliged to turn again upon seeing the child; that they left what they were about, and stood still a great while to look on him; for the beauty of the child was so remarkable and natural to him on many accounts, that it detained the spectators, and made them stay longer to look upon him.  7. Thermuthis therefore perceiving him to be so remarkable a child, adopted him for her son, having no child of her own. And when one time had carried Moses to her father, she showed him to him, and said she thought to make him her successor, if it should please God she should have no legitimate child of her own; and to him, "I have brought up a child who is of a divine form, (21) and of a generous mind; and as I have received him from the bounty of the river, in , I thought proper to adopt him my son, and the heir of thy kingdom." And she had said this, she put the infant into her father's hands: so he took him, and hugged him to his breast; and on his daughter's account, in a pleasant way, put his diadem upon his head; but Moses threw it down to the ground, and, in a puerile mood, he wreathed it round, and trod upon his feet, which seemed to bring along with evil presage concerning the kingdom of Egypt. But when the sacred scribe (it was Balaam) saw this, (he was the person who foretold that his nativity would the dominion of that kingdom low,) he made a violent attempt to kill him; and crying out in a frightful manner, he said, "This, O king! this child is he of whom God foretold, that if we kill him we shall be in no danger; he himself affords an attestation to the prediction of the same thing, by his trampling upon thy government, and treading upon thy diadem. Take him, therefore, out of the way, and deliver the Egyptians from the fear they are in about him; and deprive the Hebrews of the hope they have of being encouraged by him." But Thermuthis prevented him, and snatched the child away. And the king was not hasty to slay him, God himself, whose providence protected Moses, inclining the king to spare him. He was, therefore, educated with great care. So the Hebrews depended on him, and were of good hopes great things would be done by him; but the Egyptians were suspicious of what would follow such his education. Yet because, if Moses had been slain, there was no one, either akin or adopted, that had any oracle on his side for pretending to the crown of Egypt, and likely to be of greater advantage to them, they abstained from killing him. .....................We can see that the book of Yasher and the account of Josephus are in line with the Torah, giving us more inside, thus helping us to understand the life of our ancestors.
We have also seen that Yethro also called Reu’el, Job were with Balaam part of Pharaoh’s counsellors. Thus we can understand their position, when we read the Torah and see how they relate to one another. Yethro is to become Moshe’s father in law, Job is to become the man who bow before Elohim and do not deny him in spite of HaSatan tribulations, and Balaam is the wicked prophet who will teach Balak how to make the children of Israel fall...
Exo 2:1 and a man of the house of Lĕwi went and married a daughter of Lĕwi... Exo 2:25 and Elohim looked on the children of Yisra’ĕl, and Elohim knew!

Chapter 3: Moshe's call - Exo 3:1 and Mosheh was shepherding the flock of Yithro his father-in-law, the priest of Miḏyan. And he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to Ḥorĕḇ, the mountain of Elohim...
3:14’eyeh ’asher ’eyeh3:15“Thus you are to say to the children of Yisra’ĕl, ‘יהוה Elohim of your fathers, the Elohim of Aḇraham, the Elohim of Yitsḥaq, and the Elohim of Yaʽaqoḇ, has sent me to you. This is My Name forever, and this is My remembrance to all generations.
Remembrance: Strong’s # H2143 ר  /  זכר  zêker  /  zeker
BDB Definition:1) memorial, remembrance   H2142 zâkar zaw-kar'  A primitive root; properly to mark (so as to be recognized), that is, to remember; by implication to mention; also (as denominative from H2145) to be male: -  X burn [incense], X earnestly, be male, (make) mention (of), be mindful, recount, record (-er), remember, make to be remembered, bring (call, come, keep, put) to (in) remembrance, X still, think on, X well.
It is amazing that today all around the world the Christians proudly call him “Lord” “Seigneur” “Gehino” which means “Ba’al” the name of a pagan deity! יהוה says that His name is to be remembered from generation to generation forever, Hebrew Olam which means “out of mind”, to the vanishing point , always, perpetual, eternal.
Let us look from the account of Josephus in “Antiquities of the Jews”.
Book 2 Chapter 12:. NOW Moses, when he had obtained the favor of Jethro, for that was one of the names of Raguel, staid there and fed his flock; but some time afterward, taking his station at the mountain called Sinai, he drove his flocks thither to feed them. Now this is the highest of all the mountains thereabout, and the best for pasturage, the herbage being there good; and it had not been before fed upon, because of the opinion men had that God dwelt there, the shepherds not daring to ascend up to it; and here it was that a wonderful prodigy happened to Moses; for a fire fed upon a thorn bush, yet did the green leaves and the flowers continue untouched, and the fire did not at all consume the fruit branches, although the flame was great and fierce. Moses was aftrighted at this strange sight, as it was to him; but he was still more astonished when the fire uttered a voice, and called to him by name, and spake words to him, by which it signified how bold he had been in venturing to come into a place whither no man had ever come before, because the place was divine; and advised him to remove a great way off from the flame, and to be contented with what he had seen; and though he were himself a good man, and the offspring of great men, yet that he should not pry any further; and he foretold to him, that he should have glory and honour among men, by the blessing of God upon him. He also commanded him to go away thence with confidence to Egypt, in order to his being the commander and conductor of the body of the Hebrews, and to his delivering his own people from the injuries they suffered there: "For," said God, "they shall inhabit this happy land which your forefather Abraham inhabited, and shall have the enjoyment of all good things." But still he enjoined them, when he brought the Hebrews out of the land of Egypt, to come to that place, and to offer sacrifices of thanksgiving there, such were the divine oracles which were delivered out of the fire. 2. But Moses was astonished at what he saw, and much more at what he heard; and he said, "I think it would be an instance of too great madness, O YHWH, for one of that regard I bear to thee, to distrust thy power, since I myself adore it, and know that it has been made manifest to my progenitors: but I am still in doubt how I, who am a private man, and one of no abilities, should either persuade my own countrymen to leave the country they now inhabit, and to follow me to a land whither I lead them; or, if they should be persuaded, how can I force Pharaoh to permit them to depart, since they augment their own wealth and prosperity by the labors and works they put upon them ?"
3. But God persuaded him to be courageous on all occasions, and promised to be with him, and to assist him in his words, when he was to persuade men; and in his deeds, when he was to perform wonders. He bid him also to take a signal of the truth of what he said, by throwing his rod upon the ground, which, when he had done, it crept along, and was become a serpent, and rolled itself round in its folds, and erected its head, as ready to revenge itself on such as should assault it; after which it become a rod again as it was before. After this God bid Moses to put his right hand into his bosom: he obeyed, and when he took it out it was white, and in colour like to chalk, but afterward it returned to its wonted color again. He also, upon God's command, took some of the water that was near him, and poured it upon the ground, and saw the colour was that of blood. Upon the wonder that Moses showed at these signs, God exhorted him to be of good courage, and to be assured that he would be the greatest support to him; and bid him make use of those signs, in order to obtain belief among all men, that "thou art sent by me, and dost all things according to my commands. Accordingly I enjoin thee to make no more delays, but to make haste to Egypt, and to travel night and day, and not to draw out the time, and so make the slavery of the Hebrews and their sufferings to last the longer."
4. Moses having now seen and heard these wonders that assured him of the truth of these promises of God, had no room left him to disbelieve them: he entreated him to grant him that power when he should be in Egypt; and besought him to vouchsafe him the knowledge of his own name; and since he had heard and seen him, that he would also tell him his name, that when he offered sacrifice he might invoke him by such his name in his oblations. Whereupon God declared to him his holy name, which had never been discovered to men before; concerning which it is not lawful for me to say any more (24) Now these signs accompanied Moses, not then only, but always when he prayed for them: of all which signs he attributed the firmest assent to the fire in the bush; and believing that God would be a gracious supporter to him, he hoped he should be able to deliver his own nation, and bring calamities on the Egyptians.
Can you imagine that you come back somewhere under the leadership of Elohim, a place you left forty years before and you are in charge to proclaim יהוה's will to the people. Try to imagine how could be the reaction of those you left many years before!  While Moshe was in Cush one tribe of the Children of Israel, Ephraim decided to leave Egypt thinking that the time was over to stay in Egypt. A lection and a strong warning to all of us:
Jasher Chapter 75:1. at that time, in the hundred and eightieth year of the Israelites going down into Egypt, there went forth from Egypt valiant men, thirty thousand on foot, from the children of Israel, who were all of the tribe of Joseph, of the children of Ephraim the son of Joseph.2. for they said the period was completed which YHWH had appointed to the children of
Israel in the times of old, which he had spoken to Abraham. 3. and these men girded themselves, and they put each man his sword at his side, and every man his armor upon him, and they trusted to their strength, and they went out together from Egypt with a mighty hand. . but they brought no provision for the road, only silver and gold, not even bread for that day did they bring in their hands, for they thought of getting their provision for pay
from the Philistines, and if not they would take it by force. 5. and these men were very mighty and valiant men, one man could pursue a thousand and two could rout ten thousand, so they trusted to their strength and went together as they were. 6. and they directed their course toward the land of Gath, and they went down and found
the shepherds of Gath feeding the cattle of the children of Gath. 7. and they said to the shepherds, Give us some of the sheep for pay, that we may eat, for we are hungry, for we have eaten no bread this day. 8. and the shepherds said, Are they our sheep or cattle that we should give them to you even for pay? so the children of Ephraim approached to take them by force. 9. and the shepherds of Gath shouted over them that their cry was heard at a distance, so all the children of Gath went out to them. 10. and when the children of Gath saw the evil doings of the children of Ephraim, they returned and assembled the men of Gath, and they put on each man his armor, and came forth to the children of Ephraim for battle. 11. and they engaged with them in the valley of Gath, and the battle was severe, and they smote from each other a great many on that day. 12. and on the second day the children of Gath sent to all the cities of the Philistines that they should come to their help, saying, 13. Come up unto us and help us, that we may smite the children of Ephraim who have come forth from Egypt to take our cattle, and to fight against us without cause. 14. Now the souls of the children of Ephraim were exhausted with hunger and thirst, for they had eaten no bread for three days. And forty thousand men went forth from the cities of the Philistines to the assistance of the men of Gath. 15. and these men were engaged in battle with the children of Ephraim, and YHWH delivered the children of Ephraim into the hands of the Philistines. 16. and they smote all the children of Ephraim, all who had gone forth from Egypt, none
were remaining but ten men who had run away from the engagement. 17. for this evil was from YHWH against the children of Ephraim, for they transgressed the word of YHWH in going forth from Egypt, before the period had arrived which the YHWH in the days of old had appointed to Israel. 18. and of the Philistines also there fell a great many, about twenty thousand men, and their brethren carried them and buried them in their cities.
19. and the slain of the children of Ephraim remained forsaken in the valley of Gath for many days and years, and were not brought to burial, and the valley was filled with men's bones. 20. and the men who had escaped from the battle came to Egypt, and told all the children of Israel all that had befallen them. 21. and their father Ephraim mourned over them for many days, and his brethren came to console him. 22. and he came unto his wife and she bare a son, and he called his name Beriah, for she was unfortunate in his house …….
Chapter 4
Exo 4:1 and Mosheh answered and said, “And if they do not believe me, nor listen to my voice, and say, ‘יהוה has not appeared to you?’ ” ... Exo 4:31 and the people believed. And they heard that יהוה had visited the children of Yisra’ĕl and that He had looked on their affliction, and they bowed their heads and did obeisance. ………………
Chapter 5. Verse 2 It is taught that when Moshe appeared before Pharaoh and spoke the name יהוה that Pharaoh asked his scribe to bring the list of the gods of Egypt and when he didn’t found the name in the list, arrogantly told Moshe “ I don’t know him” so I will not let the children of Israel go. Moshe was already warned of Elohim who told him that He will harden Pharaoh’s heart.
How it is today, what does the rulers of the world say, do they know the name of our Elohim, or do they ignore and oppress the people? It is so far that in the US the bible has been removed from the school not to speak from France where since 1789 Elohim has been publicly been rejected and replaced by the “goddess of reason Marianne” whose figure was on French coins, and has become the statue of Liberty in New York! That was the work of the Illuminati who already were at work to destroy the faith of the people. Since this time faith has been decreasing in France and today people have turned to either Roman Catholic hypocrisies or to the hedonism (search of pleasure) promote by TV and Newspapers. After that Pharaoh increased the burden of the children of Israel by removing the straw from them. Verse 9.” Let more work be laid on the men, so that they labour in it, and not pay attention to words of falsehood.” Here is what the rulers of the world do today, they lay burden on people in order to “keep them busy”. After that they have no appetite for the “godly things” when they come home, they fix their eyes on the TV screen been lazy and “drunk” by the lies of the entertainers. Modern “bricks”! Today the bricks are the taxes! Every year the rulers find new taxes. People think they are free, but their load, burden is the taxes they have to pay, taxes on food, buying bread, milk, cars, whatever you buy, you pay taxes while the government make debts, endless with arrogance, boasting themselves to be wise. When a way of taxes seems to be a problem, they “generously” remove the taxes while proclaiming a new one on another area. Not only to exchange, had they found out new system to “protect” the environment proclaiming things from their “wise men” have who all rejected יהוה. This is Mitsaryim in world scale, waiting for the revelation of the man of perdition whom our Master will destroy with the word of His mouth……Verses 20 – 23
The children of Israel were discouraged by the hard task forced to them by Pharaoh. They bring accusation to Moshe and Aaron for all the trouble they have. You remember, it was יהוה who told Abraham that this would happen, so it couldn’t be Moshe’s fault. How it is with us, how do we react when things seems to go bad, or even from bad to worse, do we easily accuse those who have shown us the way? Do we follow the way of the majority or do we wait patiently, putting our trust in יהוה and His word, knowing that יהושע has made the way for us and paid the Price! Just try to be honest and answer this question. We all are under challenge and lead by the Ruach (Spirit) of Elohim, in the wilderness in order to become more and more like our Master יהושע our elder Brother. HalleluYah! …………….
Chapter 5: יהוה to deliver his people: 11. and Pharaoh king of Egypt greatly increased the labor of the children of Israel in those days, and continued to make his yoke heavier upon the children of Israel. 12. and he ordered a proclamation to be made in Egypt, saying, Give no more straw to the people to make bricks with, let them go and gather themselves straw as they can find it. 13. also the tale of bricks which they shall make let them give each day, and diminish nothing from them, for they are idle in their work. 14. and the children of Israel heard this, and they mourned and sighed, and they cried unto YHWH on account of the bitterness of their souls. 15. and YYHWH heard the cries of the children of Israel, and saw the oppression with
which the Egyptians oppressed them. 16. and YHWH was jealous of his people and his inheritance, and heard their voice, and he resolved to take them out of the affliction of Egypt, to give them the land of Canaan
for a possession
Chapter 5: Pharaoh's arrogance toward יהוה ..Today world leaders also boast about their own power and do not know the Name of the living Elohim they transgress daily the divine Torah and bring יהוה' people under hard pressure. Are you also crying to our heavenly Father to deliver us and send our Master יהושע to establish His Kingdom? Let us read what we can learn from the book of Yasher: 8:20. and Moses and Aaron rose up early on the next day, and they went to the house of Pharaoh, and they took in their hands the stick of God. 21. and when they came to the king's gate, two young lions were confined there with iron instruments, and no person went out or came in from before them, unless those whom the king ordered to come, when the conjurors came and withdrew the lions by their incantations, and this brought them to the king.
22. and Moses hastened and lifted up the stick upon the lions, and he loosed them, and Moses and Aaron came into the king's house. 23. The lions also came with them in joy, and they followed them and rejoiced as a dog
rejoices over his master when he comes from the field. 24. and when Pharaoh saw this thing he was astonished at it, and he was greatly terrified at the report, for their appearance was like the appearance of the children of God. 25. and Pharaoh said to Moses, What do you require? and they answered him, saying, YHWH God of the Hebrews has sent us to thee, to say, Send forth my people that they may serve me. 26. and when Pharaoh heard their words he was greatly terrified before them, and he said to them, Go today and come back to me tomorrow, and they did according to the word of the king. 27. and when they had gone Pharaoh sent for Balaam the magician and to Jannes* and Jambres* his sons (read , and to all the magicians and conjurors and counsellors which belonged to the king, and they all came and sat before the king. *The name Jannes and Jambres are only one time mentioned in the Brit Chadasha (N.T) where did Sha'ul got the names, if not from the Book of Yasher?
2Ti 3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. ........78:28. and the king told them all the words which Moses and his brother Aaron had spoken to him, and the magicians said to the king, But how came the men to thee, on account of the lions which were confined at the gate? 29. and the king said, Because they lifted up their rod against the lions and loosed them, and came to me, and the lions also rejoiced at them as a dog rejoices to meet his master. 30. and Balaam the son of Beor the magician answered the king, saying, These are none
else than magicians like ourselves. 31. now therefore send for them, and let them come and we will try them, and the king did so. 32. and in the morning Pharaoh sent for Moses and Aaron to come before the king, and
they took the rod of God, and came to the king and spoke to him, saying, 33. thus said YHWH God of the Hebrews, Send my people that they may serve me. 34. and the king said to them, But who will believe you that you are the messengers of God and that you come to me by his order? 35. now therefore give a wonder or sign in this matter, and then the words which you speak will be believed. 36. and Aaron hastened and threw the rod out of his hand before Pharaoh and before his servants, and the rod turned into a serpent. 37. and the sorcerers saw this and they cast each man his rod upon the ground and they became serpents. 38. and the serpent of Aaron's rod lifted up its head and opened its mouth to swallow the rods of the magicians. 39. and Balaam the magician answered and said, This thing has been from the days of old, that a serpent should swallow its fellow, and that living things devour each other. 40. now therefore restore it to a rod as it was at first, and we will also restore our rods as they were at first, and if thy rod shall swallow our rods, then shall we know that the spirit of God is in thee, and if not, thou art only an artificer like unto ourselves. 41. and Aaron hastened and stretched forth his hand and caught hold of the serpent's tail and it became a rod in his hand, and the sorcerers did the like with their rods, and they got hold, each man of the tail of his serpent, and they became rods as at first. 42. and when they were restored to rods, the rod of Aaron swallowed up their rods. 43. and when the king (Pharaoh) saw this thing, he ordered the book of records that related to the kings of Egypt, to be brought, and they brought the book of records, the chronicles of the kings of Egypt, in which all the idols of Egypt were inscribed, for they thought of finding therein the name of Yehovah, but they found it not. 44. and Pharaoh said to Moses and Aaron, Behold I have not found the name of your God written in this book, and his name I know not. 45. and the counsellors and wise men answered the king, We have heard that the God of the Hebrews is a son of the wise, the son of ancient kings. 46. and Pharaoh turned to Moses and Aaron and said to them, I know not YHWH whom you have declared, neither will I send his people. 47. and they answered and said to the king,  YHWH God of Gods is his name, and he proclaimed his name over us from the days of our ancestors, and sent us, saying, Go to Pharaoh and say unto him, Send my people that they may serve me. 48. now therefore send us, that we may take a journey for three days in the wilderness, and there may sacrifice to him, for from the days of our going down to Egypt, he has not taken from our hands either burnt offering, oblation or sacrifice, and if thou wilt not send us, his anger will be kindled against thee, and he will smite Egypt either with the
plague or with the sword. 49. and Pharaoh said to them, Tell me now his power and his might; and they said to him, He created the heaven and the earth, the seas and all their fishes, he formed the light, created the darkness, caused rain upon the earth and watered it, and made the herbage and grass to sprout, he created man and beast and the animals of the forest, the birds of the air and the fish of the sea, and by his mouth they live and die. 50. Surely he created thee in thy mother's womb, and put into thee the breath of life, and reared thee and placed thee upon the royal throne of Egypt, and he will take thy breath and soul from thee, and return thee to the ground whence thou wast taken. 51. and the anger of the king was kindled at their words, and he said to them, But who amongst all the Gods of nations can do this? my river (the Nile) is mine own, and I have made it for myself. 52. and he drove them from him, and he ordered the labor upon Israel to be more severe
than it was yesterday and before.
The arrogance from Pharaoh is extreme and he is blinded by his own power over Egypt. He cannot realize a single moment that if he is in this position it was יהוה's work as Sha'ul wrote to the Romains: Rom 9:17 for the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
Rom 9:18 therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.
Why did יהוה act so with Pharaoh? The question has many answers here two of them:
Rom 9:20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against YHWH? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? Rom 9:21 hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?...............יהוה is the Creator of everything including man. Pharaoh forgot that he got life not on his own power. This was one of the answer the other we can read in the book of Proverbs: Pro 16:5 Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to YHWH: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished. Pro 21:4 an high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing of the wicked, is sin. Pro 16:18 pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. ..................Pride is sin and brings destruction. The “Pharaohs” (world rulers) of today are full of pride and proclaim themselves to be wise not having found the Name of Elohim in their books of Chronicle because only HaSatan words fill their knowledge. Verse 12 we read……….the people were scattered in all the land of Mitsrayim – to gather stubble for straw.  Are not today those from Ya'acov Household the true Israelites scattered in the all world (Mitsrayim) searching how to make "bricks"? The word Egypt in Hebrew:
Egypt: Strong's # H4714 מצרים mitsrayim mits-rah'-yim
Dual of H4693; Mitsrajim, that is, Upper and Lower Egypt: - Egypt, Egyptians, Mizraim.
H4693 mâtsôr maw-tsore' The same as H4692 in the sense of a limit; Egypt (as the border of Palestine): - besieged places, defence, fortified. H4692 mâtsôr maw-tsore', From H6696; something hemming in, that is, (objectively) a mound (of besiegers), (abstractly) a siege, (figuratively) distress; or (subjectively) a fastness: - besieged, bulwark, defence, fenced, fortress, siege, strong (hold), tower.
So Mitzrayim is synonym with place of distress, stronghold, and a picture of the actual situation in the world, the  modern day Mitzrayim or Egypt.
Exo 5:1 and afterwards Mosheh and Aharon went in and said to Pharaoh, “Thus said יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, ‘Let My people go, so that they keep a festival to Me in the wilderness.’ ” ...Exo 5:23 “For ever since I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your Name, he has done evil to this people. And You have not delivered Your people at all.”  Exo 6:1 then YHWH said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.
                                                             Haftorah
The Haftorah show that the prophet YirmeYahu; like Moshe was chosen from the womb of his mother. He also would become a sharp mouth to the children of Israel and will suffer because of his devotion and love to the Elohim of Abraham Itzhak and Ya’acov Yeshayahu was also a prophet called by Elohim, a man who got great revelation from the only true Elohim, to proclaim the glory of the mighty one of Israel, to reveal Messiah and his atoning work (YeshaYahu 53) but also to warn and to comfort Yehudah and Ephraim. The prophets were called of יהוה to warn, correct, instruct the people of Elohim to turn back from their evil ways in order to escape  judgment. The love of our heavenly Father was always to warn our forefather of their evil doing. The time we are living now is almost finish, there is no excuse for those who do not turn back but keep going in their pernicious ways. When Judgment will come on this day the Torah will be what will come upon the head of each of us, either for good to those who follow Messiah or to destruction for those who have despised the truth.
Ephraim has been warned the House of Israel has now the possibility to find himself and acknowledge his foolishness, turning back from the Torah-less way to the truth embracing the faith of our ancestors who followed יהושע Messiah and never acknowledged “Jesus” the Torah-less!...............Yrmeyahu the Name means: Yehowah hurls” or “Yehowah founds.” ISBE Hurl: to send whirling or to throw with violence יהוה send his prophet to warn his people and also to encourage them to choose the way of life. When reading we shall know that the north is often used to indicate judgment coming.
Yrmeyahu like Moshe thought that he was not able to do the job and יהוה convince him by "putting His Words in his mouth", from now on, like Moshe, Yrmeyahu become a recipient for יהוה's work. .....
The book of Acts:
Luke when writing the books of Acts, retraced the way of our ancestors saying that Elohimturned and gave them up to worship the host of the heaven, as it has been written in the book of the Prophets” (Acts 7:39)
Sha’ul warned that because people do not love the truth, יהוה will send a great “delusion that they believe a lie” (2nd Tessal. 2:10-11)
Jer 1:1 The words of Yirmeyahu the son of Ḥilqiyahu, of the priests who were in Anathoth in the land of Binyamin, ..Jer 1:2 to whom the word of יהוה came in the days of Yoshiyahu son of Amon, sovereign of Yehuḏah, in the thirteenth year of his reign. Jer 1:3 And it came in the days of Yehoyaqim, son of Yoshiyahu, sovereign of Yehuḏah, until the end of the eleventh year of Tsiḏqiyahu, son of Yoshiyahu, sovereign of Yehuḏah, until the exile of Yerushalayim in the fifth month.  Jer 1:4 Now the word of יהוה came to me, saying,
Jer 1:5 “Before I formed you in the belly I knew you, and before you came out of the womb I did set you apart – I appointed you a prophet to nations.”  Jer 1:6 and said I, “Ah, Master יהוה! See, I do not know how to speak, for I am a youth.”  Jer 1:7 and יהוה said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’ but go to all to whom I send you, and speak whatever I command you.  Jer 1:8 “Do not fear their faces, for I am with you to deliver you,” declares יהוה.  Jer 1:9 Then יהוה put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and יהוה said to me, “See, I have put My words in your mouth.  Jer 1:10 “See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the reigns, to root out and to pull down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.”  Jer 1:11 and the word of יהוה came to me, saying, “What do you see, Yirmeyahu?” And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.”  Jer 1:12 and יהוה said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to do it.”
Jer 1:13 and the word of יהוה came to me a second time, saying, “What do you see?” And I said, “I see a boiling pot, and it is facing away from the north.”  Jer 1:14 and יהוה said to me, “Out of the north evil is set loose on all the inhabitants of the land.  Jer 1:15 “For look, I am calling all the clans of the reigns of the north,” declares יהוה. “And they shall come and each one set his throne at the entrance of the gates of Yerushalayim, against all its walls all around, and against all the cities of Yehuḏah.  Jer 1:16 “And I shall pronounce My judgments against them concerning all their evil, because they have forsaken Me, burned incense to other mighty ones, and bowed themselves to the works of their own hands.  Jer 1:17 “Now, gird up your loins and arise, and speak to them all that I command you. Do not break down before their faces, lest I break you before them.  Jer 1:18 “For look, I have made you this day a walled city and an iron column, and bronze walls against all the land, against the sovereigns of Yehuḏah, against her heads, against her priests, and against the people of the land.  Jer 1:19 “And they shall fight against you, but not prevail against you. For I am with you,” declares יהוה, “to deliver you.”  Jer 2:1 and the word of יה יהוה וה came to me, saying,
Jer 2:2 “Go, and you shall cry in the hearing of Yerushalayim, saying, ‘Thus said יהוה, “I remember you, the kindness of your youth, the love of your bridehood, when you went after Me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown.  Jer 2:3 “Yisra’ĕl was set-apart to יהוה, the first-fruits of His increase. All who ate of it became guilty – evil came upon them,” declares יהוה.’ ”
Isa 27:6 Those who come He causes to take root in Yaʽaqoḇ, Yisra’ĕl shall blossom and bud. And they shall fill the face of the world with fruit.  Isa 27:7 Has He smitten him as He smote those who were smiting him? Or were they slain as those they had slaughtered?  Isa 27:8 In measure, by sending her away, You contended with her. He shall take away by His rough wind in the day of the east wind.  Isa 27:9 Therefore by this the crookedness of Yaʽaqoḇ is covered. And this is all the fruit of taking away his sin: when he makes all the stones of the altar like chalkstones that are beaten to dust – Ashĕrim and sun-pillars rise no more.
Isa 27:10 for the city of defence is lonely, a home forsaken and left like a wilderness – there the calf feeds, and there it lies down, and shall consume its branches.  Isa 27:11 when its twigs are dry, they are broken off, women come and set them on fire. For it is a people of no understanding, therefore He who made them has no compassion on them, and He who formed them shows them no favour.  Isa 27:12 and in that day it shall be that יהוה threshes, from the channel of the River to the wadi of Mitsrayim. And you shall be gathered one by one1, O children of Yisra’ĕl. Footnote: 1Jer. 3:14-15. Isa 27:13 and in that day it shall be that a great horn is blown, and those who were perishing in the land of Ashshur and the outcasts in the land of Mitsrayim shall come, and shall worship יהוה on the set-apart mountain, in Yerushalayim.
Isa 28:1 Woe to the proud crown of the drunkards of Ephrayim, and to the fading flower of its splendid comeliness that is on the head of the fertile valley, to those who are overcome with wine!  Isa 28:2 See, יהוה has one who is mighty and strong, like a downpour of hail and a destroying storm, like a flood of mighty waters overflowing, who casts down to the earth with the hand.  Isa 28:3 the proud crown of the drunkards of Ephrayim, is trampled under foot; Isa 28:4 and the fading flower of its splendid comeliness that is on the head of the fertile valley, like the first fruit before the summer, which, when one sees it, he eats it up while it is still in his hand.  Isa 28:5 in that day יהוה of hosts is for a crown of splendour and a head-dress of comeliness to the remnant of His people,  Isa 28:6 and a spirit of right-ruling to him who sits in right-ruling, and strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.  Isa 28:7 and these too have gone astray through wine, and through strong drink wandered about. Priest and prophet have gone astray through strong drink, they are swallowed up by wine, they wander about through strong drink, they go astray in vision, they stumble in right-ruling.  Isa 28:8 for all tables shall be covered with vomit, no place without filth.  Isa 28:9 whom would He teach knowledge? And whom would He make to understand the message? Those weaned from milk, those taken from the breasts! (read what Sha'ul write:
Heb 5:12 for when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of יהוה; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
Heb 5:13 for every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
Isa 28:10 for it is: command upon command, command upon command, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little.  Isa 28:11 for with a jabbering lip and a foreign tongue He speaks to this people,
Isa 28:12 to whom He said, “This is the rest, give rest to the weary,” and, “This is the refreshing.” But they would not hear. Isa 28:13 but the Word of יהוה was to them, “Command upon command, command upon command, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little,” so that they go and shall stumble backward, and be broken and snared and taken captive. Isa 29:22 Therefore thus said יהוה, who ransomed Aḇraham, concerning the house of Yaʽaqoḇ, “Yaʽaqoḇ is no longer put to shame, no longer does his face grow pale. Isa 29:23 “For when he sees his children, the work of My hands, in his midst, they shall set apart My Name, and set apart the Set-apart One of Yaʽaqoḇ, and fear the Elohim of Yisra’ĕl.
Act 7:17 “But as the time of the promise drew near which Elohim had sworn to Aḇraham, the people increased and multiplied in Mitsrayim  .... Act 7:43 ‘And you took up the tent of Moleḵ, and the star of your mighty one Kiyyun, images which you made to bow before them. Therefore I shall remove you beyond Baḇel.’ ……………May יהוה the Elohim and Father of our Adon יהושע bless you as you keep the way of Torah.

THE NEW COVENANT and the REAL CHANGE

The « Brit Chadasha », the New Covenant and the real change
Daniel ben Ya’acov

In this documents I want to approach what many are speaking from: The New Covenant.
But what is the New covenant or Brit Chadasha in Hebrew, and how it apply in our life today?

First it must be said, that many misunderstand the New Covenant and try to build a kind of covenant based on false deduction and lack of understanding of the TaNaHk (O.T.).

Often, I say that majority of leaders, elders, pastors, rabbis, want to make a simple “copy paste” and apply it to our days. Is that really what we should do? We will see that it is far from this concept.
Too many times we see some brothers overruling others and put them under their control. I gave seen one Leader forbidding others in his Assembly to baptize: Him alone was to baptize the new comers! Is that what we learn in the scriptures or is it “imported” from Christian concept.
Please be ready, you might not agree with me, read till the end before bringing your judgment.
Many will not like my view but I will just say what kefa/Peter says:
Act 5:29  And Kĕpha and the other emissaries answering, said, “We have to obey Elohim rather than men.
Jer 31:31  “See, the days are coming,” declares יהוה, “when I shall make a new covenant with the house of Yisra’ĕl and with the house of Yehuḏah,
Jer 31:32  not like the covenant I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Mitsrayim, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them,” declares יהוה.
Jer 31:33  “For this is the covenant I shall make with the house of Yisra’ĕl after those days, declares יהוה: I shall put My Torah in their inward parts, and write it on their hearts. And I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people.
Jer 31:34  “And no longer shall they teach, each one his neighbour, and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know יהוה,’ for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares יהוה. “For I shall forgive their crookedness, and remember their sin no more.”

According to the New Testament we see the New Covenant established by Yehoshua:
Mat 26:27  And taking the cup, and giving thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you.
Mat 26:28  “For this is My blood, that of the renewed covenant, which is shed for many for the forgiveness of sins.

From this time on a New Covenant was established.
The term “new” in Hebrew comes from the word “chadash” which mean “new in the sense of repaired”, and not new as it has never been before.
The prophet Yrmeyahu (Jeremiah) foretold the coming of a new covenant with specific effect on the believers. We are going to look at it in details later, but let me expound what I call the “mistake” of many today.
All around the world we see assemblies, with elders, rabbis, pastors, forcing their own view on others, and worse, to put them under obligation to follow their rules. No Yehowah rules, but their rules. Some go so far to tell the believers that they had  God’ revelation and commanded by Elohim to do so! Humm, we will test and see if it is really Elohim’s will and try to understand if there are discrepancy. You will agree with me that if one is wrong, it is not Yehowah!

We see in the New Testament, Yehoshua commanding His apostles to be witness everywhere:
Act 1:8  “But you shall receive power when the Set-apart Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Yerushalayim, and in all Yehuḏah and Shomeron, and to the end of the earth.”
Some take verses out of the New Testament and “copy paste” in their own ways:
Tit 1:4  to Titus, a genuine child according to our common belief: Favour, compassion, peace from Elohim the Father and the Master
יהושע Messiah our Saviour.
Tit 1:5  The reason I left you in Crete was that you should straighten out what was left undone, and appoint elders in every city as I commanded you:

- “To appoint elders in every city”

Act 15:21  “For from ancient generations Mosheh has, in every city, those proclaiming him – being read in the congregations every Sabbath.”
Act 15:22  Then it seemed good to the emissaries and elders, with all the assembly, to send chosen men from among them to Antioch with Sha’ul and Barnaḇah: Yehuḏah being called Barsabba, and Sila, leading men among the brothers,
Act 15:23  having written by their hand this: The emissaries and the elders and the brothers, To the brothers who are of the gentiles in Antioch, and Syria, and Kilikia:
-“ being read in the congregations every Sabbath.”
1Ti 1:2  to Timothy, a genuine child in the belief: Favour, compassion, peace from Elohim our Father and יהושע Messiah our Master.
1Ti 1:3  As I appealed to you when I went into Makedonia, to remain in Ephesos, in order to command some not to teach differently,

Eph 4:11  And He Himself gave some as emissaries, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as shepherds and teachers
Eph 4:12  for the perfecting of the set-apart ones, to the work of service to a building up of the body of the Messiah,
Eph 4:13  until we all come to the unity of the belief and of the knowledge of the Son of Elohim, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the completeness of Messiah,
Eph 4:14  so that we should no longer be children, tossed and borne about by every wind of teaching, by the trickery of men, in cleverness, unto the craftiness of leading astray

And there are many dozen other verses to inforce a “new concept” of leadership.
Is that what Yehowah want for us today or was it for just a period of time in the first century?

Let us see what Sha’ul write to the Bereans (Hebrew):

Heb 8:10  “Because this is the covenant that I shall make with the house of Yisra’ĕl after those days, says יהוה, giving My laws in their mind, and I shall write them on their hearts, and I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people.
Heb 8:11  “And they shall by no means teach each one his neighbour, and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know יהוה,’ because they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.
Heb 8:12  “Because I shall forgive their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawlessnesses I shall no longer remember.”
Heb 8:13  By saying, ‘renewed,’ He has made the first old. Now what becomes old and growing aged is near disappearing.

Here we need to fix our eyes on:

-“ growing aged is near disappearing”
The all chapter is about the first covenant especially the Levitical priesthood which now, at the time Sha’ul is writing, is about “growing aged is near disappearing”.
Meaning that it was not fully done away but was in a stage of change.
I pretend that what we read in the New Testament concerning the Assemblies, was necessary to establish the “New Covenant” that is Mashiach Yehoshua, but not for today.
Let us examine carefully what Yehowah foretold, by the mouth of the prophet Yrmayahu (Jeremiah):
1) I shall make a new covenant with the house of Yisra’ĕl and with the house of Yehuḏah,
2) not like the covenant I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Mitsrayim
3) I shall put My Torah in their inward parts, and write it on their hearts.
4) no longer shall they teach, each one his neighbour, and each one his brother,

These are the four mean point of Yrmeayahu (Jeremiah) words announcing the “New Covenant”.
This Covenant is different from the one Yehowah did with our forefathers which came out of Egypt (Mitzrayim).
The difference been that:
- Yehowah will put His Torah in every believers’ heart.
-  no longer shall they teach, each one his neighbour, and each one his brother,
Are you not surprised to read that we don’t need our neighbor or brother to teach one another?
How come then that so many want the position of pastor, elder, rabbi, or bishop, whatever name they like.
I was one day asking a leader who appointed him to lead the assembly? He reply that it was elder so and so! I asked again: ”who appointed elder so and so”, it seems my question disturbed him. I didn’t insist, but I want to point out something, at least in the first century:
-   Who appointed the Apostles? Was it not Yehoshua?
-      Who appointed the disciples? Was it not the apostles?
Even Sha’ul went to the apostles to lose a problem:
Act 15:1  And certain men came down from Yehuḏah and were teaching the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised, according to the practice of Mosheh, you are unable to be saved.”
Act 15:2  So when Sha’ul and Barnaḇah had no small dissension and dispute with them, they arranged for Sha’ul and Barnaḇah and certain others of them to go up to Yerushalayim, to the emissaries and elders, about this question.
Sha’ul/Paul didn’t decided on his own but went to the pillars in Jerusalem.

In the first century all apostles were eye witness from Yehoshua the Prophet like Moshe who came to renew the Covenant with Yehowah.
Sha’ul/Paul met Yehoshua in a vision.
I will not goes on to expound on the so called “church father” whom I consider not real messengers of the Truth.
Please let me know today who has appointed if you have one, your pastor, your elder, your rabbi, or whatever name he took? Have you ever think about that?
Did one of them came to you and said: “Yehowah came to me last night in a visions saying……..)
I know  this only from Christianity who none of their leaders are able to discern.
I have put some questions before our eyes, let us now see what Yehowah expected at first when he brought our forefathers, the children of Ysrael out of Egypt (Mitzaryim):
Exo 19:1  In the third month after the children of Yisra’ĕl had come out of the land of Mitsrayim, on this day they came to the Wilderness of Sinai.
Exo 19:2  For they set out from Rephiḏim, and had come to the Wilderness of Sinai, and camped in the wilderness. So Yisra’ĕl camped there before the mountain.
Exo 19:3  And Mosheh went up to Elohim, and יהוה called to him from the mountain, saying, “This is what you are to say to the house of Yaʽaqoḇ, and declare to the children of Yisra’ĕl:
Exo 19:4  ‘You have seen what I did to the Mitsrites, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself.
Exo 19:5  ‘And now, if you diligently obey My voice, and shall guard My covenant, then you shall be My treasured possession above all the peoples – for all the earth is Mine –
Exo 19:6  ‘and you shall be to Me a reign of priests and a set-apart nation.’ Those are the words which you are to speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl.”
Here we see a Covenant offer from Yehowah under condition:
“if you diligently obey My voice, and shall guard My covenant,”
The result would be:
“you shall be to Me a reign of priests and a set-apart nation”
This was the Covenant Yehowah intended to make with our forefathers and which Yehoshua Renewed in his blood:
Mat 26:28  “For this is My blood, that of the renewed covenant, which is shed for many for the forgiveness of sins.
And confirmed by Sha’ul:
Rom 11:27  and this is My covenant with them, when I take away their sins.”
1Pe 2:9  But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a set-apart nation, a people for a possession, that you should proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light,
1Pe 2:10  who once were not a people, but now the people of Elohim; who had not obtained compassion, but now obtained compassion.
Kefa/Peter quoted from the Torah
Exo 19:5  ‘And now, if you diligently obey My voice, and shall guard My covenant, then you shall be My treasured possession above all the peoples – for all the earth is Mine –
Exo 19:6  ‘and you shall be to Me a reign of priests and a set-apart nation.’ Those are the words which you are to speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl.”
The conditions are:
-        To obey the voice of  Yehowah
-        To guard the Covenant
What happen with our forefathers after having heard the offer of the Covenant by the mouth of Moshe?
They assembled themselves at the foot of Mount Sinai and say:
Exo 19:8  And all the people answered together and said, “All that יהוה has spoken we shall do.” So Mosheh brought back the words of the people to יהוה.
They confirm that they will do what Yehowah has spoken! Humm soon a change will take place which will bring the difference between the first and the renew Covenant:
After having heard the Ten commandments:
Exo 20:18  And all the people saw the thunders, the lightning flashes, the sound of the ram’s horn, and the mountain smoking. And the people saw it, and they trembled and stood at a distance,
Exo 20:19  and said to Mosheh, “You speak with us and we hear, but let not Elohim speak with us, lest we die.”
They simply refused to listen anymore to Yehowah, and told Moshe that he is to speak but not Elohim!
Today if we refuse to listen to Yehowah and prefer to go to the pastor, elder, rabbi, or whatever the brother is called, we simply go back to Mount SIani and say to Yehowah:” I will listen to my pastor, rabbi, elder, but not to you!

Do you see that:
Yehoshua introduce the New Covenant before his ascension to the Father:

Joh 14:16  “And I shall ask the Father, and He shall give you another Helper, to stay with you forever –
Joh 14:17  the Spirit of the Truth, whom the world is unable to receive, because it does not see Him or know Him. But you know Him, for He stays with you and shall be in you.
Joh 14:18  “I shall not leave you orphans – I am coming to you.
Joh 14:19  “Yet a little while, and the world no longer sees Me, but you shall see Me, because I live, and you shall live.
Joh 14:20  “In that day you shall know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.
Joh 14:21  “He who possesses My commands and guards them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I shall love him and manifest Myself to him.”

What is going on here, Yehoshua introduce the Renew Covenant to his disciples and how it will work:
Joh 14:16  “And I shall ask the Father, and He shall give you another Helper, to stay with you forever –
Joh 14:17  the Spirit of the Truth,
The Helper, the Spirit of truth is the Ruach HaQodesh (Set apart Spirit)

oh 14:25  “These Words I have spoken to you while still with you.
Joh 14:26  “But the Helper, the Set-apart Spirit, whom the Father shall send in My Name, He shall teach you all, and remind you of all that I said to you.
Joh 14:27  “Peace I leave with you – My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Joh 14:28  “You heard that I said to you, ‘I am going away and I am coming to you.’ If you did love Me, you would have rejoiced that I said, ‘I am going to the Father,’ for My Father is greater than I.
Joh 14:29  “And now I have told you before it takes place, that when it does take place, you shall believe.
Joh 14:30  “I shall no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming,1 and he possesses none at all in Me,

Yehoshua make it clear saying: “I have told you before it takes place”

Later he confirm the role of the Ruach HaQodesh (Set Apart Spirit):

Joh 16:13  “But when He comes, the Spirit of the Truth, He shall guide you into all the truth. For He shall not speak from Himself, but whatever He hears He shall speak, and He shall announce to you what is to come.
Joh 16:14  “He shall esteem Me, for He (the Ruach HaQodesh) shall take of what is Mine and announce it to you.
Joh 16:15  “All that the Father has is Mine. That is why I said that He (The Ruach HaQodesh) takes from what is Mine and announces it to you.

Today the teacher is the Ruach HaQodesh in every believers life, and it takes time to be able to hear the small voice and follow the leadership of his voice.
Jer 31:34  “And no longer shall they teach, each one his neighbour, and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know יהוה,’ for they shall all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares יהוה.

If we chose to go to an Assembly to be fed by somebody instead to listen to the voice of the Ruach HaQodesh (Set Apart Spirit), we simply say to Yehowah: “ let me hear to somebody, but not to you Yehowah, because I am afraid of you”.
I may say: “ yes brother but it’s nice to have fellowship and share with others”. Yes! I agree, it’s nice and good and we should do as often as possible, but NOT to have dominion or control over somebody life, to manipulate his will and understanding. Our life is a long journey, we need to edify others, to help others, to encourage others, even to rebuke or correct but NOT to rule them.
Pro 27:17 Iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens his friend's face.
We have an Assembly in the House when we come to the Philippines, and I share with those who come, what I have learned or discovered in my study, but never with the intention to become their leader, rabbi, or elder, they belong to Mashiach Yehoshua.
Mat 23:8  “But you, do not be called ‘Rabbi,’ for One is your Teacher, the Messiah, and you are all brothers.
Mat 23:9  “And do not call anyone on earth your father, for One is your Father, He who is in the heavens.
Mat 23:10  “Neither be called leaders, for One is your Leader, the Messiah.

Messiah is our leader!
Col 1:27 to whom Yehowah willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the nations, which is Messiah in you, the hope of glory;
-        Messiah in you’re the Hope of glory!
What than to do?
-        Study the Torah during Shabbat in the family or with other in your house or the house of a friend
-        Pray to Yehowah for the right understanding and revelation knowledge
-        Meditate on what you have study during the Shabbat
-        Trust Yehowah to help you by His Ruach which is “Mashiach in you” to lead you and guide you in all truth:
Conclusion:
Joh 8:32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
