Fine flour: H5560 סלת sôleth, writen: samech, lamed, tav

Barley: H8184 שׂערה śe‛ôrâh  writen: shin, ayin, resh, he

(The feminine form meaning the plant and the masculine form meaning the grain (second form)); from H8175 in the sense of roughness; barley (as villose): - barley.

A prim root; to storm; by implication to shiver, that is, fear: - be (horribly) afraid, fear, hurl as a storm, be tempestuous, come like (take away as with) a whirlwind.
 Fine flour is written in Hebrew:  samech (60) lamed(30), tav(400) (490). In English the word is "seminola" or "cream of the wheat", the best part of the wheat.

Exo 34:22  “And perform the Festival of Weeks (shavuot) for yourself, of the first-fruits of wheat (chittah) harvest, and the Festival of Ingathering at the turn of the year.
Babylonian Talmud sotah 14a:  s'horah (Barley) was considered animal food and food for the poor people.
Rev 6:6  And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a day’s wage, and three quarts of barley for a day’s wage. And do not harm the oil and the wine.”
Rev 18:13  and cinnamon and incense, and fragrant oil and frankincense, and wine and oil, and fine flour (Greek. Semidalis) and wheat, and cattle and sheep, and horses and carriages, and bodies and lives of men.
The Greek word semidalis correspond to the English word seminola.
Mat 13:33  Another parable He spoke to them, “The reign of the heavens is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal until all was leavened.”
Lev 2:1  ‘And when anyone brings a grain offering (minchah) to יהוה, his offering is to be of fine flour h(solet). And he shall pour oil on it, and put frankincense on it,
Barley (s'orah) always the first to ripen in Eretz Ysrael, about four weeks later comes the wheat (chittah)
Barley: A picture of manmade laws who appeals to the "animal nature".
Wheat: The wheat requires a very specific P.H of the soil, it is fragile and needs a lot of water, while Barley can withstand a lot of abuse.
Vayiqra/Lev. 2:1, "grain offering" (minchah) from "cream of wheat" (solet). Chittah (wheat) depends on the later rain:
Joe 2:23  And ye sons of Zion, joy and rejoice, In Yehovah your God, For He hath given to you the Teacher for righteousness, and causeth to come down to you a shower, Sprinkling and gathered--in the beginning.
Joe 2:23  And so be glad, children of Zion, and rejoice in Yehovah your God, because he has given you the right amount of early rain, and he will cause the rain to fall for you, both the early rain and the later rain as before.
Joe 2:23  Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in Yehovah your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month (the word "month" has been add).
Talmud Menachot 84a, the rabbis argue wither it is Barley or wheat, because of the expression: "in the ear"
We are commended to bring the best for the minchah of the Firstfruits , not Barley, animal food, but "solet" (cream of the wheat)  from  "chittah"(wheat).
Gen 4:3  And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto Yehovah.
 His offering was rejected, it was not "the best".
To bring "solet" (fine flour) from the "chittah" (wheat) in the "aviv" (green ears) stage.

Yeshua's death, burial, and resurrection could have occurred just at the time of the starting of counting the "omer", the beginning of the seven weeks.
The "Wheat HaBikkurim" would  represent the true "Kehilat" (Assembly)

Lev 23:10  Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf (omer) of the first-fruits (r'shit) of your harvest unto the priest:

Qemach (Flour)

 How do  we know what is "qemach" (Flour)?
The law of jealousy:
Num 5:15  Then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest, and he shall bring her offering for her, the tenth part of an ephah of barley meal (qemach s'horah); he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put frankincense thereon; for it is an offering of jealousy, an offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to remembrance.
Gen 18:6  So Aḇraham ran into the tent to Sarah and said, “Hurry, make ready three measures of fine flour (qemach solet/ flour of wheat), knead it and make cakes.”
Lev 23:12  ‘And on that day when you wave the sheaf (omer), you shall prepare a male lamb a year old, a perfect one, as a burnt offering to יהוה,
Lev 23:13  and its grain offering (minchah): two-tenths of an ĕphah of fine flour (solet/wheat) mixed with oil, an offering made by fire to יהוה, a sweet fragrance, and its drink offering: one-fourth of a hin of wine.
Bread of the Face made of solet:
Lev 24:5  “And you shall take fine flour (solet/wheat) and bake twelve cakes with it, two-tenths of an ĕphah in each cake.
Lev 24:6  “And you shall set them in two rows, six in a row, on the clean table before יהוה.
Lev 24:7  “And you shall put clear frankincense on each row, and it shall be on the bread (lechem) as a remembrance portion, an offering made by fire to יהוה.
Lev 24:8  “On every Sabbath he is to arrange it before (paniym/the face) יהוה continually, from the children of Yisra’ĕl – an everlasting covenant.
The 12 loaves represent the 12 tribes, set in 2 rows because of the division that will occur centuries later. Two be the number for division (see b'reshit 1:)
Gen 1:6  And Elohim said, “Let an expanse come to be in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.”
Gen 1:7  And Elohim made the expanse, and separated the waters which were under the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse. And it came to be so.
Gen 1:8  And Elohim called the expanse ‘heavens.’ And there came to be evening and there came to be morning, the second day.  
The separation comes on the second day!
H914 בָּדַל badal (baw-dal') v.
1. to divide (in variation senses literally or figuratively, separate, distinguish, differ, select, etc.)

KJV: (make, put) difference, divide (asunder), (make) separate (self, -ation), sever (out), X utterly.
In the "sod" it reflects what will happen to the 12 tribes, the water is the Torah, Ephraim will follow after the "East wind" (Hoshea), while Yehudah will establish his own Torah called "Oral Torah" today known as the "Talmud".
Grain offering (minchah) of "solet" in "aviv" stage:
Lev 2:14  ‘And if you bring a grain offering (minchah) of your first-fruits to יהוה, bring for the grain offering of your first-fruits green heads (aviv) of grain roasted on the fire, crushed heads of new grain.
Barley and wheat can be in aviv (green heads) stage:
Exo 9:31  And the flax and the barley were smitten, for the barley was in the head (aviv) and the flax was in bud.
Exo 9:32  But the wheat and the spelt were not smitten, for they were late crops.
Solet: Crushed wheat
Lev 23:13  and its grain offering: two-tenths of an ĕphah of fine flour (solet/wheat) mixed with oil, an offering made by fire to יהוה, a sweet fragrance, and its drink offering: one-fourth of a hin of wine.
Wheat ripening four weeks after the Barley, the time frame of the Barley would have been in the middle of the 12th month.
Counting the omer (sheaf) according to the Pharisee, was counted from the day after the first day of Unleavened Bread.
Connection with the return of HaMaschiach according to:
Mat 24:29  `And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken;
Mat 24:30  and then shall appear the sign of the Son of Adam in the heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the earth smite the breast, and they shall see the Son of Adam coming upon the clouds of the heaven, with power and much glory;
Great Trumpet which is not Yom Teruah:
Mat 24:31  and he shall send his messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his chosen from the four winds, from the ends of the heavens unto the ends thereof.
Dan 7:27  ‘And the reign, and the rulership, and the greatness of the reigns under all the heavens, shall be given to the people, the set-apart ones of the Most High. His reign is an everlasting reign, and all rulerships shall serve and obey Him (read Luke 1:30-33).’
Zec 14:1  See, a day shall come for יהוה, and your spoil shall be divided in your midst.
Zec 14:2  And I shall gather all the gentiles (Goyim) to battle against Yerushalayim1. And the city shall be taken, the houses plundered, and the women ravished. Zec 14:3  And יהוה shall go forth, and He shall fight against those gentiles, as He fights in the day of battle.
Zec 14:4  And in that day His feet shall stand upon the Mount of Olives, which faces Yerushalayim on the east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two, from east to west, a very great valley, and half of the mountain shall move toward the north and half of it toward the south.
Zec 14:5  And you shall flee to the valley of My mountain – for the valley of the mountains reaches to Atsal. And you shall flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziyah sovereign of Yehuḏah. And יהוה my Elohim shall come – all the set-apart ones with You.

Zec 14:9  And יהוה shall be Sovereign over all the earth1. In that day there shall be one יהוה, and His Name one. Footnote: 1Isa. 24:23, Dan. 2:44, Rev. 11:15.
Zec 14:10  All the land shall be changed into a desert plain from Geḇa to Rimmon south of Yerushalayim, and she shall be raised up and inhabited in her place from Binyamin’s Gate to the place of the First Gate and the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Ḥanan’ĕl to the winepresses of the sovereign.
Zec 14:11  And they shall dwell in her, and there shall be no more utter destruction, but Yerushalayim shall be safely inhabited.
Zec 14:12  And this is the plague with which יהוה plagues all the people who fought against Yerushalayim: their flesh shall decay while they stand on their feet, and their eyes decay in their sockets, and their tongues decay in their mouths.
Zec 14:13  And it shall be in that day that a great confusion from יהוה is among them, and everyone of them shall seize the hand of his neighbour, and his hand rise up against his neighbour’s hand.
Zec 14:14  And Yehuḏah shall fight at Yerushalayim as well. And the wealth of all the gentiles round about shall be gathered together: gold, and silver, and garments in great quantities.
Zec 14:15  So also is the plague on the horse and the mule, on the camel and the donkey, and on all the cattle that are in those camps – as this plague.
Zec 14:16  And it shall be that all who are left from all the gentiles which came up against Yerushalayim, shall go up from year to year to bow themselves to the Sovereign, יהוה of hosts, and to observe the Festival of Booths.
Zec 14:17  And it shall be, that if anyone of the clans (families, mischpachah) of the earth does not come up to Yerushalayim to bow himself to the Sovereign, יהוה of hosts, on them there is to be no rain.
Zec 14:18  And if the clan of Mitsrayim does not come up and enter in, then there is no rain. On them is the plague with which יהוה plagues the gentiles who do not come up to observe the Festival of Booths.
Zec 14:19  This is the punishment of Mitsrayim and the punishment of all the gentiles that do not come up to observe the Festival of Booths.
Zec 14:20  In that day “SET-APART TO יהוה” shall be engraved on the bells of the horses. And the pots in the House of יהוה shall be like the bowls before the altar.
Zec 14:21  And every pot in Yerushalayim and Yehuḏah shall be set-apart to יהוה of hosts. And all those who slaughter shall come and take them and cook in them. And there shall no longer be a merchant in the House of יהוה of hosts, in that day.
The parable of the sower: The tares and the wheat
Mat 13:24  Another parable He put before them, saying, “The reign of the heavens has become like a man who sowed good seed in his field,
Mat 13:25  but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tare among the wheat (solet, good seed) and went away.
Mat 13:26  “And when the blade sprouted (aviv time of counting the omer) and bore fruit, then the tare also appeared.
Mat 13:27  “And the servants of the master of the house came and said to him, ‘Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? From where then does it have the tare?’
Mat 13:28  “And he said to them, ‘A man, an enemy did this.’ And the servants said to him, ‘Do you wish then, that we go and gather them up?’
Mat 13:29  “But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tare you also uproot the wheat with them.
Mat 13:30  ‘Let both grow together until the harvest (shavuot), and at the time of harvest I shall say to the reapers, “First gather the tare and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my granary.” ’ ”
Yeshua expound the parable to His disciples:
Mat 13:36  Then, having sent the crowds away, יהושע went into the house. And His taught ones came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tare of the field.”
Mat 13:37  And He answering, said to them, “He who is sowing the good seed (wheat) is the Son of Aḏam,
Mat 13:38  and the field is the world. And the good seed (wheat)  these are the sons of the reign, but the tare are the sons of the wicked one,
Mat 13:39  and the enemy who sowed them is the devil. And the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the messengers.
Mat 13:40  “As the tare, then, is gathered and burned in the fire, so it shall be at the end of this age.
Mat 13:41  “The Son of Aḏam shall send out His messengers, and they shall gather out of His reign all the stumbling-blocks, and those doing lawlessness,
Mat 13:42  and shall throw them into the furnace of fire – there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Mat 13:43  “Then the righteous1 shall shine forth as the sun in the reign of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!
Shavuot: "The voice of the Trumpet"
Exo 19:16  And it came to be, on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain. And the sound of the ram’s horn was very loud, and all the people who were in the camp trembled.
The Harwest is not "one day" but seven weeks (49 days):
Mat 13:30  ‘Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I shall say to the reapers, “First gather the tare and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my granary.” ’ ”
Not all fields ripen at the same time in Eretz Ysrael, due to the different climate: WE DON'T KNOW THE DAY!
Exo 23:14  “Three1 times in the year you are to observe a festival to Me: Footnote: 1The Festivals of יהוה are grouped in three, for three different times of the year.
Exo 23:15  Thou shall keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)
Exo 23:16  And the feast of harvest, the firstfruits of thy labours, which thou hast sown in the field: and the feast of ingathering, which is in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the field.
Exo 23:17  Three times in the year all thy males shall appear before the Lord GOD.
The word is linked to the "wheat" which grows in us. We are the wheat, we are the "seed" into the world. There is no way to know when the field of wheat is ripe.
About "wheat Harwest":
Mat 24:29  “And immediately after the distress of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give its light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.
The messengers are the faithful servants:
Mat 24:31  “And He shall send His messengers (not angels) with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
Counting the "omer" is a 50 days period with "Shavuot" as "one day event".
Witness unto the end of the world:
Act 1:6  They, therefore, indeed, having come together, were questioning him, saying, `Master, dost thou at this time restore the reign to Israel?'
Act 1:7  and he said unto them, `It is not yours to know times or seasons that the Father did appoint in His own authority;
Act 1:8  but ye shall receive power at the coming of the Ruach HaQodesh upon you, and ye shall be witnesses to me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and unto the end of the earth.'
Summer in Ysrael  begins at Shavuot:
Mat 24:32  `And from the fig-tree learn ye the simile: When already its branch may have become tender, and the leaves it may put forth, ye know that summer is nigh,
Fig trees produce tiny little figs 3-4 weeks before Passover  and are replaced with the real one which grow the next 7-8  following weeks.
The sower is the Ruach HaQodesh:
Isa 55:10  For, as come down doth the shower, And the snow from the heavens, And thither returneth not, But hath watered the earth, And hath caused it to yield, and to spring up, And hath given seed to the sower, and bread to the eater,
Isa 55:11  So is My word that goeth out of My mouth, It turneth not back unto Me empty, But hath done that which I desired, And prosperously effected that for which I sent it.
Like in the days of Noach:
Mat 24:36  `And concerning that day and the hour no one hath known--not even the messengers of the heavens--except my Father only;
Mat 24:37  and as the days of Noah--so shall be also the presence of the Son of Adam;
The tares are removed, (be taken):
Mat 24:40  Then two men shall be in the field, the one is received, and the one is left;
Mat 24:41  two women shall be grinding in the mill, one is received, and one is left.
The day that NO MAN KNOWS:
Mat 24:42  “Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Master is coming.
Harvest time:
Mat 24:45  “Who then is a trustworthy and wise servant, whom his master set over his household, to give them food in season?
Mat 24:46  “Blessed is that servant whom his master, having come, shall find so doing.
We need to work our field:
Joh 4:35  “Do you not say, ‘There are still four months, and the harvest comes’? See, I say to you, lift up your eyes and see the fields, for they are white for harvest – already!
The second Shabbat after the first:
Luk 6:1  And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands.

Two back to back Shabbat! What is the first? The context is counting the "omer"
The First Shabbat = 15 of the First month (Aviv), the First day of "Unleavened Bread"
Lev 23:15  ‘And from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, you shall count for yourselves: seven completed Sabbaths.
Lev 23:16  ‘Until the morrow after the seventh Sabbath you count fifty days, then you shall bring a new grain offering to יהוה.
What is than the second, the weekly Shabbat? Picking, eating, rubbing grain!
Talmud Menachot 65a concerning Shabbat: If the first day of "Unleavened Bread is Thursday"
Luke 6:1 should have happened at "erev" (sunset of Shabbat) because the Pharisee were not roaming around during the morning.
"Grain fields" , "corn fields" in Greek refers ONLY to wheat.
Menachot 65a the gemara relates various argument used to demonstrate that the "omer" was brought on the second day of "Pesach"
 Rubbing grain in their hands during the Shabbat was against the 39 rules of the Shabbat from the Pharisee.
By rubbing the wheat Yeshua was making solet (fine flour) Luke 6:2, the verse "eating what is not lawful", eating the new grain before the offering has been brought to the Temple.
Dawid' sons called Kohenim according to Sh'mot/Exodus 19:5
2Sa 8:18  and Benayahu son of Yehoyaḏa was over both the Kerĕthites and the Pelĕthites, and Dawiḏ’s sons were priests (kohenim) (after the Melchitzedek order, not been Levites).
Exo 19:5  ‘And now, if you diligently obey My voice, and shall guard My covenant, then you shall be My treasured possession above all the peoples – for all the earth is Mine –
Exo 19:6  ‘and you shall be to Me a reign of priests (kohenin after the order of Melchitzedek) and a set-apart nation.’ Those are the words which you are to speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl.”
Luke 6:5 read: Adonai Zebaoth also according to Sh'mot 19:5
Luk 6:5  And He said to them, “The Son of Aḏam is Adonai Zebaoth.”
Yeshua is Adonai Zebaoth and we are the Host.
