Daniel ben Ya’acov Israel
.Today’s parasha, is highly concealed and as I
was searching and reading I didn’t found many explanatory information. Josephus
the great historian in his book “Antiquities of the “Jews” when, coming to this
part of the Torah, do not give any commentary. The Parasha is divided in two parts, so be patient in reading and go to
the end, in order to be blessed in your reading. You remember what we discussed
many time in former “midrash”, Sha’ul explained that our forefathers,
beside their own experience during the exile from Mitzaryim (Egypt )
represent our carnal nature (1st Corint.15:45-47), To start, we must recall some principals in
order to understand. Sin (lawlessness) entered man’s life because of Chawa (Eve) and Adam the husband who obey to her voice. Both were one and therefore
their actions affect both of them! Please understand this principle, in our own
life, sin affect the all body of Messiah.
When you hurt badly your toe on one
foot, does the other part of your body say “no problem, the foot can have pain,
we don’t have”? Of course not, the all body is affected, and so it is with the
Body of Messiah, whose body we are! Now the spiritual side is this: Adam and Chawa (Eve) are both a picture of Messiah and the Assembly (qahal in Hebrew, Ekklessia in Greek). Sha’ul
quoting B’reshit (2:24) write to the brethren in Ephesus : Eph 5:31 “For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined
to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” Eph 5:32 this secret is great, but I speak
concerning Messiah and the assembly. .....Shaul call it a “great
secret” “musterion” in Greek. We have
seen before that the Greek word has its equivalent in Hebrew with the word
“sod”, meaning mystery, something hidden. Mystery can only been revealed by יהוה
for those who are
following Messiah יהושע. No matter
what people may tell you, there are many things which great scholars were not
able to see, historian like Josephus, even Rabbis who wrote so
many midrash in their “Mishna”
and “Talmud” couldn’t understand, because, the revelation is in Messiah:
2Co 3:13 and not like Mosheh, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Yisra’ĕl should
not look steadily at the end of what was passing away. 2Co 3:14 But their minds were hardened, for to this
day, when the old covenant (that is
the Torah) is being read, that same veil
remains, not lifted, because in
Messiah it is taken away. 2Co 3:15 but
to this day, when Mosheh is being read, a veil lies on their heart.
2Co 3:16 and when one turns to the Master,
the veil is taken away.
Sha’ul says that the veil i.e. blindness, is only
removed when one turns to Messiah יהושע. Brethren do
not make a mistake to think that all who profess to be in Messiah, are followers of him, for by our work, man will know if
one is a follower of Messiah: Jas 2:17 so also belief (faith), if it does not have works, is in itself dead.
Jas 2:18 but someone might say, “You have belief, and I have works.” Show me
your belief without your works, and I
shall show you my belief by my works.........We know that Christians claim that the Torah
has been abolished by “Jesus”, but as
we all know that’s not what the scriptures teach us. Let us go back to the today’s “Parasha”, and see. The principle is:
natural for spiritual. Indeed what happened to our forefathers was real, and
happened to them nevertheless the Torah from our forefathers was a “school
master”: Gal
3:21 Is the Torah then against
the promises of Elohim? Let it not be!
For if a law had been given that was able to make alive, truly righteousness
would have been by Torah. Gal 3:22 But the Scripture has shut up all mankind under sin, that the promise
by belief (faith) in יהושע Messiah might be given to
those who believe. Gal 3:23 But before
belief came, we were being guarded under Torah, having been shut up for the belief (faithin Messiah)
being about to be revealed. Gal 3:24 Therefore the
Torah became our trainer unto Messiah, in order to be declared right by
belief. Gal 3:25 and after
belief has come, we are no longer under a trainer. Gal 3:26 for you are all sons of Elohim through belief in Messiah יהושע. …….I will also quote the King James

Messiah יהושע.
I want you
to see this word: Schoolmaster:
Strong’s #G3807: paidagōgos pahee-dag-o-gos'
From G3816
and a reduplication form of G71; a boy leader, that is, a servant whose office it was to
take the children to school; (by implication [figuratively] a tutor
[“paedagogue”]): - instructor, schoolmaster.
G3816 Pais paheece Perhaps from G3817;
a boy (as often beaten
with impunity), or (by analogy) a girl, and (generally) a child;
specifically a slave or servant (especially a minister to
a king; and by eminence to God): - child, maid (-en), (man) servant, son, young
man.
This slave
was to bring the child from his master and lead him until the child was able to
walk alone, having learn certain principles and didn’t have need of the
“schoolmaster” or “tutor”, i.e the slave to be his “tutor” anymore. Shaul keep
going saying: “And after belief (faith) has
come, we are no longer under a trainer ( schoolmaster, paedagogue); You may say that because we have no
more need of a schoolmaster or tutor
we don’t need anymore to follow the Torah!
We should make a difference between the Torah
and the Tutor or schoolmaster. When Messiah came he
became our Master, the Torah remains
as the way of life, now we give as much as we can our best ability by faith to walk as יהושע walked (1Yocahan 2:6).Messiah is without
sin(1Jn.3:4),so he never transgressed. This we have to meditate on it. Some will say, because we don’t need a
schoolmaster any more, we don’t have to keep the Torah, is this what יהושע was saying?
Mat 5:17 “Do not
think that I came to destroy the Torah or the Prophets.1 I did not come to destroy but to complete.
Footnote: 1The Law and the Prophets is a
term used for the pre-Messianic Scriptures.
Mat 5:18 “For truly, I say to you, till the heaven and
the earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall by no means pass from
the Torah till all be done.1 Footnote:
1Lk. 16:17.
One jot,
that is in Greek “iota” the tenth
letter of the alphabet, the letter “י
“ in Hebrew and the “title” is the “apex” of the Hebrew vowel on Hebrew letter
to make the sound of the letter as it is demonstrate in the following chart:
In other
words, יהושע
was saying that the Torah was in no way abolished, and he added:
Mat 5:19 “Whoever, then, breaks one of the
least of these commands, and
teaches men so, shall be called least in the reign of the heavens; but whoever does and teaches them, he
shall be called great in the reign of the heavens. Mat 5:20 “For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees,1 you shall by no means enter into the reign
of the heavens.
Take note
the word which Messiah said: “breaks one”…called LEAST and those who do
….and teaches men” called GREAT in the kingdom of heaven. So, its
up to us the decision, to be in the least
or to be in the great? This is a very
serious matter unfortunately many today take this warning on “the light
shoulder”.
Mat 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, so that they see your good works (Ya’acov 2:18) and praise your
Father who is in the heavens. With this in mind we go back to our “Parasha”
and dig, to see what we can see.....
12:1……..when
a woman has conceived……..Conceived: Strong’s #H2232, זרע zâra‛ zaw-rah'
A primitive
root; to sow; figuratively to
disseminate, plant, fructify:
- bear, conceive seed, set with, sow (-er), yield............Do you remember the principle taught
in B’reshit chapter one,
Gen 1:11 And Elohim said, “Let the earth bring forth
grass, the plant that yields seed (zera),
and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed (zera) is in itself, on the earth.” And
it came to be so.
Gen 1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, the
plant that yields seed (zera)according
to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according
to its kind. And Elohim saw that it was good.
Gen 1:28 And Elohim blessed them, and Elohim said to them,
“Bear fruit and increase, and fill
the earth and subdue it, and rule over the fish of the sea, and over
the birds of the heavens, and over all creatures moving on the earth.”
The principle is “seed
(zera) after “its kind”, human being,
been on the top of the creation scale, in order to “subdue” and “rule over it”.
Today humanist all around the world want to give animals same statute as
human being! The woman will “conceived”, bring her seed, and if she give birth
to a “boy” she will be unclean for seven days, for a “girl” she will be unclean
for two weeks or fourteen days! If she give birth to a boy she will remain in
her blood thirty three days, if it is a “girl” the time will be “sixty six
days”.
I didn’t
found a scholar who gave explanation on these verses which of course is not
obvious! But let us try to see some interesting concept: Man child (boy) Strong’s H 2145 זכר zâkâr zaw-kawr'
From H2142; properly remembered, that is, a male (of man or animals, as being the most noteworthy sex): - X him, male, man (child, -kind).....H2142 zâkar zaw-kar'.....A primitive root;
properly to mark (so as to be recognized), that is, to remember; by implication to mention; also (as
denominative from H2145) to be male:
- X burn [incense], X earnestly, be
male, (make) mention (of), be mindful, recount, record (-er), remember, make to
be remembered, bring (call, come, keep, put) to (in) remembrance, X still,
think on, X well.
Maid child (female child) Strong’s #H5347 נקבה neqêbâh nek-ay-baw'......From H5344; female
(from the sexual form): - female,
woman......H5344 nâqab naw-kab'.......A
primitive root; to puncture, literally (to perforate,
with more or less violence) or figuratively (to specify, designate,
libel): - appoint, blaspheme,
bore, curse, express, with holes, name, pierce,
strike through.
For a man child she shall be unclean for seven days. Seven is the number
for divine perfection on earth. Remember that our natural body is NOT redeemed
yet, for “blood and flesh cannot inherit the kingdom of heaven”.:
Rom 8:22
for we know that all the creation groans
together, and suffers the pains of
childbirth together until now. Rom 8:23 And not only so, but even we ourselves who
have the first-fruits of the Spirit, we ourselves also groan within ourselves,
eagerly waiting for the
adoption, the redemption of our body.
Sha’ul compared us like also of the suffering
before giving birth. Why? Just look ourselves when we are in the flesh especially
when we are angry, no brake, but later when we are calm down and so on cases?
So lets each everyone of us to judge ourselves..........
Redemption: Strong’s# G629 apolutrōsis ap-ol-oo'-tro-sis.....From a compound of G575 and G3083;
(the act) ransom in full, that is, (figuratively) riddance, or (specifically) salvation: - deliverance,
redemption. G3083
lutron loo'-tron......From G3089;
something to loosen with, that is, a
redemption price (figuratively atonement):
- ransom.
When this will
be?: Luk
21:27 “And then they shall see the Son of Aḏam coming
in a cloud with power and much esteem. Luk 21:28
“And when these matters begin to take place, look up and lift up your heads,
because your redemption draws near.”
The woman
becomes “unclean” by giving birth. The womb is a closed place with life in
itself. During forty (40) weeks is in the water called “placenta”. After forty
weeks the child (boy or girl) comes out by force (birth pangs), this is a
picture of the “Renewed Israel” coming by force through the great
“tribulations” (birth pangs), by water and blood.: Luk
16:16 “The Torah and the prophets are until Yoḥanan. Since then the reign
of Elohim is being announced, and everyone
is doing violence upon it. Isa 13:8

sorrows.G5604
Sorrow: Strong’s #G5604 ōdin o-deen' Akin to G3601; a pang
or throe, especially of childbirth: - pain,
sorrow, travail...................
We have here a clear understanding
of the birth, either male or female. 12:4…she
remains in the blood thirty three days,
she does not touch whatever is set apart…..Compare with what Sha’ul write:
2Co 6:17 Therefore, “Come out from among them and be
separate, says יהוה, and do not touch what is unclean, and I shall receive
you.
If you think it is out of context, Sha’ul is speaking of being set apart
from unbelievers from what is polluted. When
the male or female baby is born, he or she comes in a place corrupted by man’s
sin! This will be so until the second coming of Messiah יהושע to finish the work of redemption, establishing יהוה’s Kingdom on
earth. What a great day! The woman
couldn’t approach the Tabernacle during her separation either birth or
monthly uncleanness. The Tabernacle is a picture of Messiah and the
Assembly in the world to come. At this time the Tabernacle was the
place where YHVH spoke to Moshe, a Qadosh place! The blood: The rebirth of יהוה’s
Kingdom, Israel
will be during the Tribulation but not without blood, for the blood on many
will flow: Rev 12:1 and
a great sign was seen in the heaven: a woman clad with the sun, with the moon
under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. Rev 12:2 and
being pregnant, she cried
out in labour and in pain to give birth.
Rev 12:5 and she
bore a male child1
who was to shepherd all nations with a rod of iron. And her child was
caught away to Elohim and to His throne. Footnote: 1Isa.
66:7.
The number
thirty three days of uncleanness (33) equal 11 x 3. Eleven is the number for
imperfection. Andrew Harris writes concerning the number eleven: “The number
for incompletion. If ten is the number for perfection; then ELEVEN is perfect
organization plus one more, one extra. Something more than only what was
required, eleven is the number of revelation, it is used in the occult, Illuminati, Massonry, etc….The first
time eleven is mentioned is b’reshit 32:22, Ya’acov rose up that night
and took his two wives, and his two women-servants, and his eleven sons, and passed over the ford Yabbok. At this time Rahel (Rachel) was pregnant with Benyamin the tribe’s number was incomplete!
66 is the number of book in the scriptures and Revelation carries the number
66!”
Remember: Male
child 33. She remains in her blood 33 days!.....12:5…..if she gives birth to a female child….unclean for two weeks……she remains in the blood of her cleansing for sixty-six days
The length
has become doubled: The symbols are 7x2 equal 14 days. At this point we shall
remember that Sha’ul spoke of a “mystery” (sod) concerning the man and
the woman, quoting B’reshit 2, and
the woman is a picture of the assembly while the man (Adam) is a picture of
Messiah, the man been the head of the woman (1st Corint.11:3). We have seen in the Hebrew word the
connotation of coming with violence, curse, and pierce. We can find more
understanding in the difference between a man and a woman by reading from Apostle
Sha’ul who was very knowledgeable in
the Torah. In Ephesians 5:31-32 Sha’ul
speaks of a man and a woman, to be one flesh, verse 32 he says, “This is a
great mystery”, but I speak concerning
Messiah and the Assembly, referring to B’reshit 2:24. This allegorical
approach is seen many times in Sha’ul’s
teaching (Midrash), giving us a deeper understanding concerning יהוה’s
concept in the book of B’reshit. Elohim has always used natural to
explain spiritual. Today many refused to go behind the literal text and
therefore cannot see the spiritual revelation of the Torah. The Ruach HaQodesh,
the set apart Spirit has been given to believers in order to give us
understanding (Binah). Binah, understanding is part of the “Tzelem Elohim”, the image of Elohim, in which we shall be transformed
and one day been made in the image of Messiah יהושע who is the perfect image of His person
(Hebr;1:3). ....
12:6-8…..burnt offering (olah)………
sin
offering (chattah)………..
atonement (kaphar).
Son or
daughter she shall go to the priest and bring two offering. The first is the
“olah” which means “elevation or
holocaust” that is the lamb! And a pigeon or turtle dove the “chattah” offering that is:
chaṭṭâ'âh chaṭṭâ'th khat-taw-aw', khat-tawth'.......From
H2398; an offence (sometimes habitual sinfulness), and its penalty, occasion, sacrifice, or
expiation; also (concretely) an offender:
- punishment (of sin), purifying (-fication for sin), sin (-ner, offering)........
For atonement! Kaphar: A primitive
root; to cover (specifically
with bitumen); figuratively to expiate
or condone, to placate or cancel: - appease, make (an) atonement, cleanse, disannul, forgive, be
merciful, pacify, pardon, to pitch,
purge (away), put off, (make) reconcile
(-liation).
Who is the
Lamb, is it not Messiah יהושע?...Who
came in form of a dove on Messiah, is
it not the Ruach HaQodesh? What does it means to cover is not יהושע
who cover us with his
blood? But you will ask why giving birth
requires offering and atonement? The question is of course important. Since Adam and Chawa man was under sin, which is lawlessness or rebellion against
the Torah, יהוה’s instruction in righteousness. Not only Adam and the woman were under sin
effect, but also the all creation. Remember before Chawa’sin Adam could
speak directly to Elohim, he was
close to him, after Chawa (the
Assembly picture) sin man and Elohim
were separated and man was let alone on earth.:
1Ti 6:16 who alone (that is Elohim) has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or is able
to see….The place where Elohim
stay has no darkness at all, it is pure light and no man under sinful nature
can approach it. Things will be restored in the future after the Millennium
reign of Messiah יהושע: Rev 21:1
and I
saw a renewed heaven and a renewed earth, for the former heaven and the
former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more. Rev 21:3 And
I heard a loud voice from the heaven saying, “See, the Booth of Elohim is with
men, and He shall dwell with them,
and they shall be His people, and Elohim Himself shall be with them and be
their Elohim.......
The earth also has been cursed. Some scholars say that
the curse has been removed by the flood, but as we can see thorn and thistle
are still on earth!
Gen 3:17 And
to the man He said, “Because you have
listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten of the tree of which I
commanded you, saying, ‘Do not eat of it’: “Cursed is the ground because of you, in toil you are to eat of it
all the days of your life, Gen 3:18
and the ground shall bring forth thorns and thistles for you,
and you shall eat the plants of the
field..............
The king James says: “thou shall eat the herbs of
the field”.this is a very important point as we know that after the flood this
mean around 1657 years after Adam’s birth, יהוה, gave Noach the commandment to eat “meat” from
animals, this is also another interesting topic and many opinions are spread
among scholars, but we will discuss it in another “midrash”, teaching. You have read that it is Chawa (Eve) who sinned; please don’t be shocked, it is a fact:
1Ti 2:11 Let
a woman learn in silence, in all subjection. 1Ti 2:12 But I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man,
rather, to be in silence. 1Ti 2:13
Because Aḏam was formed first, then Ḥawwah (Chawah). 1Ti 2:14 And Aḏam was not deceived, but
the woman, having been deceived, fell into transgression.
If
you come to our Assembly you may be surprise to see that a woman take the reading of the weekly
parasha but the teaching is still from me “brother Daniel”. In this case she is “his mouth” or vessel to speak. Is not transgression sin? (1st
Yochanan 3:4). Now we can better
understand why offering and atonement were necessary! The woman is a picture of the assembly (you
and me) who will sin (transgress) during centuries and will have need of
offering and sacrifice to make atonement that is יהושע our Messiah, who makes atonement for
us:
2Co 5:21 for He
made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might
become the righteousness of Elohim...1Jn 3:5
and you know that He was manifested to
take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.

turtledoves or two young pigeons. Luk 2:22 and
when the days of her cleansing according
to the Torah of Mosheh were completed, they brought Him to Yerushalayim to
present Him to יהוה – Luk 2:23 as it has
been written in the Torah of יהוה,
“Every male who opens the womb shall be called set-apart to יהוה” –
Luk
2:24 and to give an offering according to what is said in the Torah of יהוה,
“A pair of turtledoves or two young
pigeons.”
We see Myriam and Yoseph were Torah observant and brought
the lesser offering, a pair of turtle dove or two pigeons…..Lev 12:1 And יהוה
spoke to Mosheh, saying, Lev 12:2 “Speak to the
children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘When a
woman has conceived, and has given birth to a male child, then she shall be unclean seven days, as in
the days of her monthly separation she is unclean. Lev
12:3 ‘And on the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin is circumcised. Lev 12:4 ‘And she
remains in the blood of her cleansing thirty-three days. She does not touch
whatever is set-apart, and she does not come into the set-apart place until the days of her cleansing are
completed. Lev 12:5 ‘But if she gives birth to a female child,
then she shall be unclean for two weeks,
as in her monthly separation, and she
remains in the blood of her cleansing for sixty-six days. Lev 12:6 ‘And when the days of her cleansing are
completed, for a son or for a daughter, she
brings to the priest a lamb a year old, as a burnt offering, and a young pigeon or a turtledove as a
sin offering, to the door of the Tent of Meeting. Lev
12:7 ‘And he shall bring it before יהוה, and make atonement for her, and she shall be cleansed from the flow of her
blood. This is the Torah for her who has given birth to a male or a female.
Lev 12:8 ‘And if she is not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two
turtledoves or two young pigeons, one as a burnt offering and the other as a
sin offering. And the priest shall make
atonement for her, and she shall be clean.’ ”
Chapter 13-14.: These two chapters deal with “leprosy”,
we must first learn what is the meaning in Hebrew, in order to get
understanding and spiritual insight. We
are going to try to see the natural and the spiritual aspects. Once again the
Torah will make clear that יהושע is Messiah,
the anointed one, the One chosen before the creation of the world.
The Hebrew word for “leprosy is “Tzarah”: Strong’s#H6883 צרעת tsâra‛ath tsaw-rah'-ath
The Hebrew word for “leprosy is “Tzarah”: Strong’s#H6883 צרעת tsâra‛ath tsaw-rah'-ath
From H6879; leprosy: - leprosy.H6879 tsâra‛ tsaw-rah' A primitive root; to
scourge, that is,
(intransitively and figuratively) to be stricken with
leprosy: - leper, leprous. To lay a punishment, something causing misery. This is plague verse 3. Plague: String’s #H5061 נגע nega neh'-gah From H5060; a blow (figuratively infliction); also (by
implication) a spot
(concretely a leprous person or
dress): - plague, sore, stricken,
stripe, stroke, wound.H5060; nâga‛ naw-gah' A
primitive root; properly to touch, that is, lay the hand upon (for
any purpose; euphemistically, to lie with a woman); by
implication to reach (figuratively to arrive, acquire);
violently, to strike (punish, defeat, destroy, etc.): - beat, (X be able
to) bring (down), cast, come (nigh), draw near (nigh), get up, happen, join,
near, plague, reach (up), smite, strike, touch................The “nega” was a plague brought by Elohim on somebody. By reading we see
that in יהושע’s time many were plagued with “tzara”. Tzara is not to be confounded with the known “leprosy”
caused by dirt and place void of hygiene in some countries.
Tzara (leprosy)
did make people “Tame”, unclean, thus
inacceptable in the assembly of the Children of Israel verse 3....Tame means; unclean, to be
foul in moral cense, contaminated..Before we go to see what יהושע did, we shall try to understand the reason of the
plague. In the book of Badmidbar
(number) chapter 12, we se Myriam, Aharon and Moshe’s sister having been
stricken by “tzarah”: Num 12:10 and
the cloud turned away from above the Tent, and look: Miryam was leprous
(Tzarah), as white as snow! And Aharon turned toward Miryam, and look: a
leper!.............The reason of the plague was because she spoke against
Moshe, on behalf of his Kushite wife: Num 12:1 now
Miryam and Aharon spoke against
Mosheh because of the Kushite woman whom he had taken, for he had taken
a Kushite woman. ..... Moshe was called of Elohim and not of man, he was anointed, and to speak against יהוה’s
anointed is not a good thing to do. In general יהוה abhor “gossip” called in Hebrew “lashon Hara” or “evil tongue” which is
sin: Exo
23:1 thou shalt notH3808 raiseH5375 a falseH7723
report:H8088 putH7896
notH408 thine handH3027 withH5973

Pro 17:9 He who covers a transgression seeks love, but
he who repeats a matter separates intimate friends.
Pro 11:13 a
slanderer is a revealer of secrets, but one with a trustworthy spirit conceals
a matter.
Pro 20:19 He who goes about as a slanderer reveals secrets; therefore do not associate with him who speaks smoothly with his
lips.
Lashon Hara is sin unfortunately today many believers take pleasure, reporting
stories from congregation to congregation or from family to family and do not
even know that by doing this they found themselves in sin, bringing trouble
among the brethren and upon themselves. This shouldn’t be we must train
ourselves to be lovers of one another: Eph 4:30
and do
not grieve the Set-apart Spirit of Elohim, by whom you were sealed for the
day of redemption.
Do you think the Ruach HaQodesh is grieved when we “gossip” and bring false reports
concerning other brethren?: In 2nd Tessalonians 5:19 we read: 1Th 5:19 Do not quench the Spirit. .....To quench means to extinguish, the
prophet Yrme’Yahu writes: Jer 21:12
‘O house of Dawiḏ! Thus said יהוה,
“Render right-ruling in the morning,
and deliver him who has been robbed out of the hand of the oppressor, lest My
wrath go out like fire and burn, with no one to quench it, because of the
evil of your deeds.
Jer
21:13 “See, I am against you, O
inhabitant of the valley, rock of the plain,” declares יהוה, “who are saying, ‘Who would
come down against us? And who would come into our dwellings?’
Jer
21:14 “And I shall punish you according to the fruit of your deeds,” declares יהוה. “And I shall kindle a fire
in its forest, and it shall consume all that is around her.” ’ ”
The meaning
here for “quench” is the
impossibility to extinguish. The Hebrew word used is “kaba” to put out (light, anger) it is interesting to see that Kefa (Peter) in the book of Acts says
that יהוה
give the Ruach HaQodesh to those who obey him (Acts 5:32)! Christians boast today to have
the “Holy Spirit” anointing in spite of rejecting the Torah, and “gossip” is
rampant among the congregations. The “tzarah” was a physical plague which
everybody could see and the person was plagued seven days and after that had to
present herself before the priest to se if it was clean 13:45.... Plague were
brought by YHVH as we see the plagues upon Pharaoh and the Egyptians! 16: and
the tzarah in whom the plague is…..and shall cry unclean,
unclean….He is unclean, and he dwells alone, his dwelling place is outside the camp. This bring us to the situation of the woman in the book of Marcos .......Mar 5:25 and a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, Mar 5:26 and had suffered much from many physicians,
and spent all that she had and was no
better, but rather became worse.
Mar 5:27 Having heard about יהושע, she came behind Him in the
crowd and touched His garment,
Mar
5:28 for she said, “If I only touch His garments, I shall be made well.”
Mar 5:29
and immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of
the affliction.
Mar
5:30 And immediately יהושע, knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned
around in the crowd and said, “Who
touched My garments?” Mar
5:31 and His taught ones said
to Him, “You see the crowd is thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ” Mar 5:32 and He was looking around to see her who did this.
Mar 5:33 and the
woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what was done to her, came and fell down
before Him and spoke to Him all the truth. Mar 5:34 and He said to her,
“Daughter, your belief has healed you
(read “as made you whole”). Go in peace, and be relieved from your
affliction.”
You have
for sure read this story, concerning this woman, we don’t know who she was, but
she was well informed about יהושע. When יהושע
came it was on the
fourth day of creation the year 4028 from creation or the 28C .E. Many in Israel knew
about the prophecy regarding Messiah, many women hoped to be the chosen vessel
to carry the Messiah.....Marco (Marc)
tells us that this woman had tried in vain to get ride of this plague by all
means, now she also knew what the prophet Mal’akhi
say:
Mal 4:1 “For look, the day shall come,
burning like a furnace, and all the proud, and every wrongdoer shall be
stubble. And the day that shall come shall burn them up,” said יהוה
of hosts, “which leaves to them neither root nor branch. Mal 4:2 “But to you who fear My Name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings.
And you shall go out and leap for joy like calves from the stall.
To an
Israelite it was known that the “wings” is an expression to call the talit, the prayer shale wear by men, we
find this expression also in the Psalm 91:
Psa 91:4 He covers you with His feathers, and under His wings you take refuge; His truth is a shield and armour. Here again the Talit is
compared to יהוה having wings and feathers like a bird.
In the verse from Mal’akhi,
the “Sun of righteousness” is also a
reference to Messiah, according to B’reshit 1:14 were Elohim made the physical sun as a picture of Messiah who will bring
light into the world. The woman been
plague with blood during twelve years, for the women who have also their
monthly menstruation, you can easily understand the pain of the woman, who non
stop, twelve years long was plagued. Not only that but she was to live outside
the contact of other and wherever she went had to cry “unclean, unclean”. This is why she feared: Mar 5:33
and the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what was done to her, came and
fell down before Him and spoke to Him all the truth. Now when she saw יהושע,
she had in mind the prophecy from
Mal’ahki and said to herself, “if I can touch is garment “wings”, I will be
healed. This is why יהושע told her:
Mar 5:34 And He said to her, “Daughter, your
belief has healed you (made you whole). Go in peace, and be relieved from
your affliction.”
Whose Daughter was she? Daughter of Israel
Many
time we read that יהושע “cleaned”
people from “Tzarah”: Mat 8:2
and see, a leper came, and bowed before Him, saying, “Master, if You desire,
You are able to make me clean.” Mat 8:3 and stretching out His hand יהושע
touched him, saying, “I desire it. Be cleansed!” And immediately his
leprosy was cleansed.
Luk 5:12 and it came to be when He was in a certain city, that see, a man
covered with leprosy saw יהושע. And he fell on his face and begged Him, saying, “Master, if
You desire, You are able to cleanse me.”
Luk
5:13 and He stretched out His
hand and touched him, saying, “I desire it. Be cleansed.” and immediately the
leprosy left him.
We have seen in the book of “Badmidbar
“ Myriam was plagued with the “tzarah”
because she spoke evil against Moshe and was only restored after Moshe prayed
for her to יהוה.
Today we
see already part of the restoration brought by יהושע and the plague is no more although
sometime people have been found with this kind of plague. We need to distinguish between healing and
cleansing! The Plague of Tzarah was
always to be cleansed. When Messiah
came, he was to fulfill what was written concerning him, in order for the
people to know that he was indeed the One, send by יהוה, the Elohim of Israel:
Luk 24:44 and
He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still
with you, that all have to be filled (read Matt.5:17-18) that
were written in the Torah of Mosheh
and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.”
13:46…..all the day he has the infection…….his dwelling place is outside the camp
The person with the plague was to live outside the camp, first it was the
punishment for everybody to know this person was plagued by Elohim, and the second reason was in
order that the camp was not touched by the plague.
What do you
think, how it would be today if believers were plagued with “tzarah” when speaking evil against
those who teach the word, are we free from jealousy and from gossip? Do you think today there is no spiritual Tzarah that Children of Elohim are not aware of and carry the
mark of the plague everywhere? The camp was all around the Tabernacle in the
four directions west, east, north, south, a picture of the world today. What
does this then mean that the one who was plagued was to go outside the camp? Could
it be that those who are plagued today because of evil tongue and proud like Amman the Syrian are
excluded from the camp in the same way?
Lev 13:1 And יהוה
spoke to Mosheh and to Aharon, saying, Lev 13:2 “When a man has on the skin of his body a swelling, a scab, or a bright spot, and it shall
become on the skin of his body like a leprous infection, then he shall be
brought to Aharon the priest or to one of his sons the priests. Lev 13:3 “And the
priest shall look at the infection on the skin of the body. And if the hair
on the infection has turned white, and the infection appears to be deeper than
the skin of his body, it is a leprous
infection. And the priest shall
look at him, and pronounce him unclean.
Lev 13:4 “But if the bright spot is white on the skin of his body, and does not
appear to be deeper than the skin, and its hair has not turned white, then the priest shall shut up the infected
one seven days. Lev 13:5 “And the priest
shall look at him on the seventh day and see, if the infection appears to be as
it was, and the infection has not spread on the skin, then the priest shall
shut him up another seven days.
Lev
13:6 “And the priest shall look at him again on the seventh day and see, if
the infection has darkened, and the infection has not spread on the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him clean. It is
a scab, and he shall wash his garments and be clean. Lev 13:7 “But
if the scab spreads further over the skin, after he has been seen by the
priest for his cleansing, he shall be seen by the priest again. Lev 13:8 “And the priest shall look and see, if the
scab has spread on the skin, then the
priest shall pronounce him unclean, it is leprosy. Lev 13:9 “When the infection of leprosy is on a man,
then he shall be brought to the priest. Lev 13:10
“And the priest shall look and see, if the swelling on the skin is white, and
it has turned the hair white, and there is a spot of raw flesh in the swelling,
Lev 13:11 it is an old leprosy on the skin of
his body, and the priest shall pronounce him unclean. He does not shut him up,
for he is unclean. Lev 13:12 “And if leprosy breaks out all over the
skin, and the leprosy shall cover all the skin of the infected one, from his head to his foot, wherever the
priest looks, Lev 13:13 then the priest shall
look and see, if the leprosy has covered
all his body, he shall pronounce the infected one clean. It has all turned
white, he is clean. Lev 13:14 “But the day raw flesh appears on him, he
is unclean. Lev 13:15 “And the priest shall look at the raw flesh and pronounce him to be
unclean – the raw flesh is unclean, it
is leprosy. Lev 13:16 “Or when the raw
flesh changes and turns white again, he shall come to the priest. Lev 13:17 “And the priest shall look at him and see,
if the infection has turned white, then the priest shall pronounce the infected
one clean, he is clean. Lev 13:18 “And when
the body has a boil in the skin, and it is healed,
Lev
13:19 and in the place of the
boil there comes a white swelling or a bright spot, reddish-white, then it
shall be seen by the priest. Lev 13:20 “And the priest shall look and see, if it
appears deeper than the skin, and its hair has turned white, the priest shall pronounce him unclean,
it is a leprous infection which has broken out of the boil.
Lev
13:21 “But if the priest looks
at it and sees no white hairs in it,
and it is not deeper than the skin, but has faded, then the priest shall shut him up seven days; Lev
13:22 and if it has spread
further over the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean, it is a leprous infection. Lev 13:23 “But if the bright spot stays in its place,
it has not spread, it is the scar of the boil, and the priest shall pronounce
him clean. Lev 13:24 “Or when the body receives
a burn on its skin by fire, and the raw flesh of the burn shall become a bright
spot, reddish-white or white, Lev 13:25 then
the priest shall look at it and see, if the hair of the bright spot has turned
white, and it appears deeper than the skin, it is leprosy broken out in the
burn. And the priest shall pronounce him
unclean, it is a leprous infection. Lev 13:26
“But if the priest looks at it and sees there are no white hairs in the bright
spot, and it is not deeper than the skin, but has faded, then the priest shall shut him up seven days. Lev 13:27 “And the
priest shall look at him on the seventh day. If it spreads further over the
skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean, it is a leprous infection. Lev 13:28 “But if the bright spot stays in its place,
and has not spread on the skin, but has faded, it is a swelling from the burn.
And the priest shall pronounce him clean, for it is the scar from the burn. Lev 13:29 “And when a man, or a woman, has an infection on the head or in the beard, Lev 13:30 then the priest shall look at the infection
and see, if it appears deeper than the skin, and there is thin yellow hair in
it, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean, it is an eruption, a leprosy of the head or beard. Lev 13:31 “But when the priest looks at the infection
of the eruption and sees that it does not appear deeper than the skin, and
there is no black hair in it, then the
priest shall shut up the one with
the infection of the eruption seven days. Lev
13:32 “And on the seventh day the priest shall look at the infection and
see, if the eruption has not spread, and there is no yellow hair in it, and the
eruption does not appear deeper than the skin,
Lev
13:33 then he shall shave himself, but the eruption he does not shave.
And the priest shall shut up the one
with the eruption another seven days. Lev 13:34
“And on the seventh day the priest shall
look at the eruption and see, if the eruption has not spread over the skin,
and does not appear deeper than the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him
clean. And he shall wash his garments,
and he shall be clean. Lev 13:35 “But if the eruption spreads further over
the skin after his cleansing, Lev 13:36 then
the priest shall look at him and see, if the eruption has spread over the skin,
the priest need not seek for yellow hair, he is unclean. Lev 13:37 “But if
the eruption appears to have stayed, and there is black hair grown up in it, the eruption has healed. He is clean, and the priest shall
pronounce him clean. Lev 13:38 “And when, white
bright spots, a man or a woman has
bright spots on the skin of the body. Lev 13:39
then the priest shall look and see, if the bright spots on the skin of the body
are dull white, it is a white spot that grows on the skin, he is clean. Lev 13:40 “And when
a man loses the hair of his head, he is bald, he is clean. Lev 13:41 “And if the hair has fallen from his
forehead, he is bald on the forehead, he is clean. Lev
13:42 “And when there is on the bald head or bald forehead a
reddish-white infection, it is leprosy breaking out on his bald head or his
bald forehead.
Lev
13:43 “And the priest shall look at it and see, if the swelling of the
infection is reddish-white on his bald head or on his bald forehead, as the
appearance of leprosy on the skin of the body,
Lev
13:44 he is a leprous man, he is unclean. The priest shall
pronounce him unclean, without fail, his infection is on his head. Lev 13:45 “As for
the leper who has the infection, his
garments are torn, and his head is uncovered, and he has to cover his
upper lip and cry, ‘Unclean! Unclean!’ Lev 13:46
“He is unclean – all the days he has
the infection he is unclean. He is unclean, and he dwells alone, his dwelling
place is outside the camp. Lev 13:47
“And when a garment has an infection of
leprosy in it, in a woollen garment or in a linen garment, Lev 13:48 or in the warp or in the weft of linen or
wool, or in leather or in any leather-work, Lev 13:49
and the infection shall be greenish or reddish in the garment or in the
leather, or in the warp or in the weft, or in any leather object, it is an
infection of leprosy and shall be shown to the priest. Lev
13:50 “And the priest shall look
at the infection and shut up the infected one seven days.
Lev
13:51 “And he shall look at the
infection on the seventh day. And when the infection has spread in the garment,
or in the warp or in the weft, or in the leather or any leather-work, the
infection is an active leprosy, it is unclean.
Lev
13:52 “And he shall burn that garment, or the warp or the weft, in wool
or in linen, or any leather object in which the infection is, for it is an active leprosy. It is burned
with fire. Lev 13:53 “But if the priest looks
and sees that the infection has not spread in the garment, or in the warp or in
the weft, or in any leather object, Lev 13:54
then the priest shall give command, and
they shall wash that in which the infection is. And he shall shut it up another
seven days.
Lev
13:55 “And the priest shall
look at the infection after it has been washed and see, if the infection has
not changed its appearance, though the infection has not spread, it is unclean,
and burn it in the fire – it is eaten away, in its inside or outside. Lev 13:56 “And if the priest shall look and see that the infection has faded after washing it,
then he shall tear it out of the garment, or out of the warp, or out of the
weft, or out of the leather. Lev 13:57 “And if
it is still seen in the garment, or in the warp or in the weft, or in any
leather object, it is a spreading infection. Burn it with fire, that in which the infection is. Lev 13:58 “And if you wash the garment, or the warp
or the weft, or any leather object, if the infection has disappeared from it,
then it shall be washed a second time, and shall
be clean. Lev 13:59 “This is the Torah of the infection of leprosy in a garment of wool or
linen, or in the warp or in the weft, or in any leather object, to
pronounce it clean or to pronounce it unclean.”
Haftorah -- 2nd M’lakhim 4:42-5:19, Mal’akhi 3:4-4:6
The haftorah bring us to some situation
again which will be directly connected with what Messiah did in order for
people to know that he was sent by Elohim. The first is that יהושע
did what was written
here concerning feeding the people he did it in a greater scale. The five breads
are a picture of the Torah, and the Two fishes a picture of the two Houses, Yehuda and Ephraim: Mar 6:37 but He answering, said to them, “You give
them to eat.” And they said to Him, “Should we go and buy two hundred silver
pieces worth of bread and give them to eat?” Mar 6:38 Then He said to them, “How many
loaves do you have? Go and see.” And when they found out they said, “Five, and two fishes.” Mar 6:39 and He ordered them to make them all sit
down in groups on the green grass. Mar 6:40
and they sat down in groups, in hundreds and in fifties. Mar 6:41 And taking the five loaves and the two
fishes, looking up to the heaven, He blessed and broke the loaves, and gave
them to His taught ones to set before them. And the two fishes He divided among
them all. Mar
6:42 and all ate and were
satisfied. Mar
6:43 and they picked up twelve baskets, filled with pieces, also from the
fishes. Mar
6:44 Now those who ate the
loaves were about five thousand men.
........... The twelve basket left over represent that what יהושע
was divinely ordered,
twelve been the number for divine organisation on earth, and יהושע
is the head of the
Body, the Assembly. The two fishes represent the two House of Israel and Yehudah. In the story of Na’aman, we see that pride is a factor which hinder people to get
what the hope for, for it is written, “he abased the proud and give favour to
the humble”. The prophet told the man
who was not an Israelite to go and to bath himself seven times in the Yordan, Na’aman in his pride of
conqueror thought that the rivers of his own country were better: Are not the
Aḇanah and the Pharpar, the rivers of Dammeseq, better than all the waters of
Yisra’ĕl? Could I not wash in them and be clean?” And he turned and went away
in a rage. The king
of Aram , who send Na’aman for healing thought that he
could buy healing from the prophet with a lot of money verse 5-6.
Is it not
today that many people seek those “healer” and bring money to recover, instead
to search their heart and plead with Elohim
for healing? The last part of the Haftorah, tells us about the corruption among the priest and how יהוה
plead with them through
Mal’ahki. This is where many people
will tell others that if we don’t pay tithe, we “rob Elohim” or “G-d”. The context if read from the beginning will first
show that the prophet was speaking to particular people: 2Ki 4:42 Now a man came from Baʽal Shalishah, and
brought the man of Elohim bread of the first-fruits, twenty loaves of barley
bread, and newly ripened grain in his knapsack. And he said, “Give it to the
people to eat.” 2Ki 4:43 and his servant said,
“What? Do I set this before one hundred
men?” And he said, “Give it to the people to eat. For thus said יהוה,
‘Eat and have some left over.’ ” 2Ki 4:44 And
he set it before them, and they ate and
had some left over, according to the word of יהוה.
Mal 1:1 The message of the word of יהוה to Yisra’ĕl by Mal’aḵi. Mal 1:7 “You are presenting defiled food on My altar. But you asked, ‘In
what way have we defiled You?’ Because you say, ‘The table of יהוה is despicable.’…….Who were the one bringing food to the altar,
were they not the priest? But if it’s not enough let us read: Mal 2:1 “And now, O priests, this command is for you. Mal 2:7 “For
the lips of a priest should guard knowledge, and they seek (the people) the
Torah from his mouth, for he is the messenger of יהוה of
hosts. Mal 2:8 “But you, you
have turned from the way, you have caused many to stumble in the Torah. You
have corrupted the covenant of Lĕwi,” said יהוה of
hosts. ……..Here the
proof: Neh 13:10 and
I perceivedH3045 thatH3588
the portionsH4521 of the LevitesH3881 had notH3808
been givenH5414 them: for the LevitesH3881
and the singers,H7891 that didH6213 the work,H4399
were fledH1272 every oneH376 to his field.H770.....................The Levites didn’t
bring the tithe from the tithe as it is required by the Torah: Neh 13:11 Then contendedH7378
I withH854 the rulers,H5461 and said,H559
WhyH4069
is the houseH1004 of GodH430 forsaken?H5800 And I gathered them together,H6908 and setH5975
them inH5921 their place.H5977
What is the
storehouse of Elohim, is it the “pocket” from the Pastors?
Neh 12:44 and at thatH1931
timeH3117 were someH376 appointedH6485
overH5921 the chambersH5393 for the
treasures,H214 for the
offerings,H8641 for the

into them out of the fieldsH7704 of
the citiesH5892 the portionsH4521
appointed by the TorahH8451 for
the priestsH3548 and Levites:H3881 forH3588
JudahH3063 rejoicedH8057 forH5921
the priestsH3548 and forH5921 the LevitesH3881
that waited.H5975 ......Now how
it was with the tithe from tithe: Num 18:26 “Speak
to the Lĕwites and say to them, ‘When you
take from the children of Yisra’ĕl the tithes which I have given you from
them as your inheritance, then you shall present a contribution of it to יהוה, a tenth of the tithe.
The Levites, the priest had to bring the
tenth “tithe” of the tithe as contribution. And this is what Nehemiah saw that they forgot
(Nehem.13:10) and what יהוה was complaining in Mal’ahki 3:8-10.
Please let
me know if today:
- We have
Levites serving for us?
- We have a
Temple with a
storehouse to bring the fruit of the ground?
- If we
follow today the Levitical Priesthood?
- Why
should we bring the tithe?
I know they
are many even in messianic congregation, who enforce tithing to their members,
telling them that if they don’t do they will be cursed!..........2Ki 5:1 and Naʽaman, commander of the army of the
sovereign of Aram, was a great man in the eyes of his master, and highly
respected, because by him יהוה had given deliverance to
Aram. And he was a brave man, but leprous. 2Ki 5:2 And the Arameans had gone out on raids, and
had brought back captive a young girl from the land of Yisra ’ĕl,
and she served the wife of Naʽaman. 2Ki 5:3 And
she said to her mistress, “If only my master were with the prophet who is in
Shomeron! Then he would recover him of his leprosy.” 2Ki
5:4 And Naʽaman went in and reported to his master, saying, “Thus and
thus spoke the girl who is from the land
of Yisra ’ĕl.” 2Ki 5:5 And the sovereign of Aram said, “Go, enter, and let me
send a letter to the sovereign of Yisra’ĕl.” And he went and took with him ten
talents of silver, and six thousand pieces
of gold, and ten changes of garments. 2Ki 5:6
And he brought the letter to the sovereign of Yisra’ĕl, which said, “And now,
when this letter comes to you, see I have sent Naʽaman my servant to you, so
that you shall recover him of his leprosy.” 2Ki 5:7
And it came to be, when the sovereign of Yisra’ĕl read the letter, that he tore
his garments and said, “Am I Elohim, to kill and keep alive, that this man
sends a man to me to recover him of his leprosy? For consider now, and see how
he is seeking an occasion with me!” 2Ki 5:8 And
it came to be, when Elisha the man of Elohim heard that the sovereign of
Yisra’ĕl had torn his garments, that he sent to the sovereign, saying, “Why
have you torn your garments? Please let him come to me, so that he knows that
there is a prophet in Yisra’ĕl.” 2Ki 5:9 So
Naʽaman came with his horses and chariot, and he stood at the entrance of the
house of Elisha. 2Ki 5:10 And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying,
“Go, and you shall wash seven times in the Yardĕn, that your flesh might be
restored to you, and be clean.” 2Ki 5:11
But Naʽaman became wroth, and went
away and said, “See, I said to myself, ‘He would certainly come out to me, and
stand and call on the Name of יהוה his
Elohim, and wave his hand over the place, and recover the leprosy.’ 2Ki 5:12 “Are
not the Aḇanah and the Pharpar, the rivers of Dammeseq, better than all the
waters of Yisra’ĕl? Could I not wash in them and be clean?” And he turned
and went away in a rage. 2Ki 5:13 And his
servants came near and spoke to him, and said, “My father, if the prophet had
spoken to you a great matter, would you not have done it? How much more then,
when he says to you, ‘Wash ,
and be clean’?” 2Ki 5:14 Then he went down and dipped seven times in the
Yardĕn, according to the word of the man of Elohim. And his flesh was restored
like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean. 2Ki 5:15 And he returned to the man of Elohim, he and all his
company, and came and stood before him and said, “See, now I know that there is no Elohim in all the earth, except in
Yisra’ĕl. And now, please take a gift from your servant.” 2Ki 5:16 But he said, “As יהוה
lives, before whom I stand, I do not
accept it.” And he pressed on him to accept it, but he refused. 2Ki 5:17 Then Naʽaman said, “If not, please let your
servant be given two mule-loads of earth, for no longer is your servant
going to make a burnt offering and
slaughtering to other mighty ones (gods), but to יהוה.
2Ki 5:18 “יהוה
grant forgiveness to your servant in this matter: when my master goes into the
house of Rimmon (Syrian god) to worship there, and he leans on my hand, and I
bow down in the house of Rimmon; when I bow down in the house of Rimmon, יהוה,
please grant forgiveness to your servant in this matter.” 2Ki 5:19 Then he said to him, “Go in peace.” And when
he had gone from him some distance,
Mal 3:4 “Then shall the offering of Yehuḏah and Yerushalayim be pleasant to יהוה, as
in the days of old, as in former years.
Mal
3:5 “And I shall draw near to
you for right-ruling. And I shall be a swift witness against the practicers of
witchcraft, and against adulterers, and against them that swear to falsehood,
and against those who oppress the wage earner in his wages and widows and the
fatherless, and those who turn away a sojourner and do not fear Me,” said יהוה
of hosts.
Mal
3:6 “For
I am יהוה,
I shall not change1, and you, O
sons of Yaʽaqoḇ, shall not come to an end. Footnote: 1Jas.
1:17.
Mal
3:7 “From the days of your
fathers you have turned aside from My laws and did not guard them. Turn back to
Me, and I shall turn back to you,” said יהוה of
hosts. “But you said, ‘In what shall we turn back?’ Mal
3:8 “Would a man rob Elohim? Yet you are robbing Me! But you said, ‘In
what have we robbed You?’ In the tithe and the offering!
Mal
3:9 “You have cursed Me with
a curse, for you are robbing Me, this nation, all of it! Mal 3:10 “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,
and let there be food in My house. And please prove Me in this,” said יהוה
of hosts, “whether I do not open for you the windows of the heavens, and shall
pour out for you boundless blessing! Mal 3:11
“And I shall rebuke the devourer for you, so that it does not destroy the fruit
of your ground, nor does the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,”
said יהוה of hosts. Mal 3:12 “And all nations shall call you blessed, for
you shall be a land of delight,” said יהוה of
hosts. Mal 3:13 “Your words have been harsh
against Me,” said יהוה,
“but you have said, ‘What have we spoken against You?
Mal
3:14 “You have said, ‘It is
worthless to serve Elohim. And what did we gain when we guarded His Charge, and
when we walked as mourners before יהוה of
hosts? Mal 3:15 ‘And now we are calling the
proud blessed – not only are the doers of wrongness built up, but they also try
Elohim and escape.’ ” Mal 3:16 Then shall those
who fear יהוה speak to one another, and יהוה
listen and hear, and a book of remembrance be written before Him, of those who
fear יהוה, and those who think upon His
Name. Mal 3:17 “And they shall be Mine,” said יהוה
of hosts, “on the day that I prepare a treasured possession. And I shall spare
them as a man spares his own son who serves him. Mal
3:18 “Then you shall again see the difference between the righteous and
the wrong, between one who serves Elohim and one who does not serve Him.
Mat 8:1 And when He came down from the
mountain, large crowds followed Him. Mat 8:2
And see, a leper came, and bowed before Him, saying, “Master, if You desire, You are able to make me
clean.” Mat 8:3 And stretching out His
hand יהושע
touched him, saying, “I desire it. Be
cleansed!” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Mat
8:4 And יהושע
said to him, “See, mention it to no one. But go your way, show yourself to the
priest, and offer the gift that Mosheh
commanded, as a witness to them.”

Chapter 14. This chapter brings us to the law of cleansing
verse 2, Verses 3-8 we see the procedure followed by the priest. Verse 4 the
priest take the birds alive and clean, in this case pigeon or turtledove a
picture of the Ruach HaQodesh,
bringing up to יהוה’s throne? Cedar-wood
and scarlet and Hyssop: Heb 9:19
for when, according to Torah, every
command had been spoken by Mosheh to all the people, he took the blood of
calves and goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,
David after
having sinned with Batsheba writes in
Psalm 51: Psa
51:7 Cleanse me with hyssop,
and I am clean; Wash me, and I am whiter than snow......Yochanan write
during יהושע’s
impalement: Joh 19:29 A bowl of sour wine stood there, and they filled a sponge with sour
wine, put it on hyssop, and held it
to His mouth.
We find the
use of cedar, scarlet and hyssop in the sacrifice of the red heifer (Badmidbar
1:6)......Cedar a picture of the pride of man: Zep 2:10 This is what they get for their pride,
because they have reproached and exalted themselves against the people of יהוה of hosts. Zep 2:11 יהוה shall
be awesome to them, for He shall make all the mighty ones of the earth to
shrivel, while all the coastlands of the nations bow down to Him, each one from
his place. Zep 2:12 “You too, O Kushites, are to be slain by My sword.”
Zep 2:13 And He shall stretch out His hand against the
north, and destroy Ashshur, and make Ninewĕh a waste, as dry as a wilderness.
Zep 2:14 And droves shall lie down in her midst, every
beast of the nation, both pelican and bittern lodge in the tops of her columns,
a voice singing at the window, ruin be at the threshold, for the cedar work is exposed.
Hyssop is small tree growing in the
Mediterranean coast used also in medicinal use, and has we have seen is a
picture of humility (Psalm 51:7)... In the day of cleansing, the priest
is to go out of the camp to see the leper before he can come back to the camp. Two birds alive, one will be killed in an
earthen vessel over running water (Torah!) (verse 5). Are we not an earthen vessel? ......2Co 4:7
and we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the
excellence of the power might be of Elohim, and not of us –
As for the
live bird, the second bird, he shall with the cedar wood, the scarlet and the Hyssop been dip in the blood of the
first animal and sprinkled seven time on the man who is to be cleansed from “tzarah”.
Verse 6.It seems that the priest was now through the blood and with the cedar (pride), scarlet (sin), and hyssop (humility) making atonement for the man with leprosy to proclaim him clean. Verse 7, the second bird after having been dip in the blood of the first bird was to be loosen and let free, as confirmation of the removal of the plague. Verse 9.After seven days the man with the leprosy shall shave the hair, the eyebrows even the hairs of all his body and wash his garments. This remains a mystery as for now I couldn’t find the relation between the air and the action of shaving. There are few references to hairs in the scriptures! Verse 10.Now on the eight day, the man will be back in the camp and come with the priest a the door of the tent of meeting to bring two lambs for sacrifice and a grain offering with oil; ........Remember the grain offering is a “minchah”

Strong say: to apportion, that
is, bestow; a donation;
euphemistically tribute; specifically a sacrificial offering (usually bloodless and voluntary): - gift, oblation, offering, present, sacrifice......The oil represents the Ruach HaQodesh anointing on the
sacrifice. Verses 10-20.The atonement ceremony by the priest: He first takes
the two males lame without blemish and wave them before יהוה on the eight day, demonstrating that
from now it is behind the natural (number 8) pointing again to Messiah יהושע
and his atoning work. The priest takes of the blood of the guilt
offering; and apply it on the right ear
of the man, on the thumb of his right hand and on the toe of
his right foot. ..............This
we have already seen, that it represent : - Hearing (ear), doing (thumb) and
walking (toe) the way of the Torah. The right side be the side of mercy (chesed) in the tree of life.
The same is
with somebody who was not able to afford two lambs it will be done with the two
pigeons or turtledove. Verses 34-57. When you enter the land of Kana’an .
You may found leprosy in the house!
Here again
we see that the plague of “tzarah”
was not only limited to men, but also to the houses.
Keil and Delitzsch give following
perspective: The only thing that can be gathered from the signs mentioned in Lev_14:37 is, that the house-leprosy was an evil
which calls to mind “the vegetable formations and braid-like structures that
are found on mouldering walls and decaying walls, and which eat into them so as
to produce a slight depression in the surface.”.....(Note: Cf. Sommer (p. 220), who says, “The crust
of many of these lichens (like moss)
is so marvellously thin, that they simply appear as coloured spots, for the
most part circular, which gradually spread in a concentric form, and can be
rubbed off like dust. Some species have a striking resemblance to eruptions
upon the skin. There is one genus called spiloma
(spots); and another very numerous genus bears the name of lepraria.”).........The
process of cleansing was the same as for a man plagued with “tzerah”, and even went up to the
destruction of the Houses.*....We can see that a plague from Elohim affect
as well the material as the physical; both are directly linked to one another. Thus
we can understand that TODAY man’s action sinning against YHVH Qadosh Torah
bring trouble upon mankind!.....Lev 14:1
and יהוה
spoke to Mosheh, saying, Lev 14:2 “This shall
be the Torah of the leper for the day of
his cleansing: He shall be brought to the priest, Lev
14:3 and the priest shall go out
of the camp, and the priest shall look and see, if the leprosy is healed in
the leper, Lev 14:4 then the priest shall
command, and he shall take for him who is to be cleansed two live and clean birds, and cedar
wood, and scarlet, and hyssop. Lev
14:5 “And the priest shall command, and he shall kill one of the birds
in an earthen vessel over running water. Lev 14:6
“Let him take the live bird and the cedar wood and the scarlet and the hyssop,
and dip them and the live bird in the
blood of the bird that was killed over the running water. Lev 14:7 “And he
shall sprinkle it seven times on him who is to be cleansed from the leprosy,
and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the live bird loose in the open
field. Lev 14:8 “And he who is to be cleansed shall wash his garments, and shall shave off all his hair and wash
himself in water, and shall be clean. Then after that he comes into the
camp, but shall stay outside his tent seven days. Lev
14:9 “And on the seventh day
it shall be that he shaves all the hair off his head and his beard and his
eyebrows, even all his hair he shaves off. And he shall wash his garments and
wash his body in water, and shall be clean.
Lev
14:10 “And on the eighth day he takes two male lambs, perfect ones, and one
ewe lamb a year old, a perfect one, and three-tenths of an ĕphah of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering,
and one log of oil. Lev 14:11 “And the priest
who is cleansing shall present the man who is to be cleansed, with these offerings, before יהוה,
at the door of the Tent of Meeting. Lev 14:12
“And the priest shall take one male
lamb and bring it as a guilt offering, and the log of oil, and wave them as a wave offering before יהוה.
Lev 14:13 “And he shall slaughter the lamb in
the place where he slaughters the sin offering and the burnt offering, in a
set-apart place. For the guilt offering, like the sin offering, belongs to the
priest. It is most set-apart. Lev 14:14 “And
the priest shall take some of the blood of the guilt offering, and the priest
shall put it on the tip of the right ear
of him who is to be cleansed, and on
the thumb of his right hand, and on
the big toe of his right foot. Lev 14:15
“And the priest shall take some of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand. Lev 14:16 “And the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil
that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle some of the oil with his finger seven times before יהוה.
Lev 14:17 “And of the rest of the oil in his
hand, the priest puts some on the tip of
the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand,
and on the big toe of his right foot, on the blood of the guilt offering. Lev 14:18 “And the rest of the oil that is in the
priest’s hand he puts on the head of him who is to be cleansed. And the priest shall make atonement for him
before יהוה. Lev
14:19 “And the priest shall make
the sin offering, and make atonement for him who is to be cleansed from his
uncleanness. Then afterwards he slaughters the burnt offering. Lev 14:20 “And the priest shall offer the burnt
offering and the grain offering on the altar. And the priest shall make atonement for him, and he shall be clean. Lev 14:21 “But if he is poor and is unable to afford it,
then he shall take one male lamb as a guilt offering to be waved, to make
atonement for him, and one-tenth of an ĕphah of fine flour mixed
with oil as a grain offering, and a log of oil,Lev
14:22 and two turtledoves or two young pigeons, such as he is able to
afford, and one shall be a sin offering and the other a burnt offering. Lev 14:23 “And he shall bring them to the priest on
the eighth day for his cleansing, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, before יהוה.
Lev 14:24 “And the priest shall take the lamb
of the guilt offering and the log of oil, and the priest shall wave them as a
wave offering before יהוה. Lev 14:25 “And he shall slaughter the lamb of the
guilt offering, and the priest shall
take some of the blood of the guilt offering and put it on the tip of the right
ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on
the big toe of his right foot. Lev 14:26
“Then the priest pours some of the oil into the palm of his own left hand. Lev 14:27 “And the
priest shall sprinkle with his right finger some of the oil that is in his
left hand seven times before יהוה.
Lev 14:28 “And the priest shall put some of the oil that is in his hand on the tip
of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of the right
hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, on the place of the blood of the
guilt offering. Lev 14:29 “And the rest of the
oil that is in the priest’s hand he puts on the head of him who is to be
cleansed, to make atonement for him
before יהוה. Lev
14:30 “And he shall prepare one of the turtledoves or young pigeons,
such as he is able to afford, Lev 14:31 that which he is able to afford, the one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, with the grain offering. And the priest shall make atonement for him who is to be cleansed before יהוה.
Lev 14:32 “This is the Torah for one who had an infection of
leprosy, who is unable to afford for his cleansing.” Lev
14:33 And יהוה
spoke to Mosheh and to Aharon, saying,
Lev
14:34 “When you come into the land of Kenaʽan, which I am giving you as a
possession, and I put a plague of leprosy in a house in the land of your
possession, Lev 14:35 then shall the one who
owns the house come and inform the priest, saying, ‘It seems to me that there is some plague in the house.’
Lev 14:36 “And the priest shall command, and
they shall empty the house, before the priest goes in to look at the plague, so
that all that is in the house is not made unclean. And after that the priest
goes in to look at the house. Lev 14:37 “And he
shall look at the plague and see, if the plague is on the walls of the house
with sunken places, greenish or reddish, which appear to be deep in the wall, Lev 14:38 then the priest shall go out of the house,
to the door of the house, and shut up
the house seven days. Lev 14:39 “And the
priest shall come again on the seventh day and look and see, if the plague has
spread on the walls of the house,
Lev
14:40 then the priest shall command, and they shall remove the stones with the
plague in them, and they shall throw them outside the city, into an unclean
place, Lev 14:41 while he lets the house be
scraped inside, all around, and the dust that they scrape off they shall pour
out in an unclean place outside the city. Lev 14:42
“And they shall take other stones and put them in the place of those stones,
and take other mortar and plaster the house. Lev 14:43
“And if the plague comes back and breaks
out in the house, after he has removed the stones, after he has scraped the
house, and after it is plastered, Lev 14:44 then the priest shall come and look and
see, if the plague has spread in the house, it is an active leprosy in the
house, it is unclean. Lev 14:45 “And he shall break down the house, its
stones, and its timber, and all the plaster of the house, and he shall bring
them outside the city to an unclean place. Lev 14:46
“And he who goes into the house, all the days while it is shut up, becomes
unclean until evening.
Lev
14:47 “And he who lies down in the house has to wash his garments, and he who
eats in the house has to wash his garments. Lev 14:48
“However, if the priest indeed comes in and looks at it and sees that the
plague has not spread in the house after the house was plastered, then the priest shall pronounce the house clean,
because the plague is healed.
Lev
14:49 “And to cleanse the house, he shall take two birds, and cedar wood,
and scarlet, and hyssop. Lev 14:50 “And he
shall kill one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water, Lev 14:51 and he shall take the cedar wood, and the
hyssop, and the scarlet, and the live bird, and dip them in the blood of the
slain bird and in the running water, and shall sprinkle the house seven times. Lev 14:52 “He
shall thus cleanse the house with the blood of the bird and the running water
and the live bird, and with the cedar wood, and with the hyssop, and with the
scarlet, Lev 14:53 and he shall let the live bird loose outside the city in the open
field, and shall make atonement for the house, and it shall be clean.
Lev
14:54 “This is the Torah for any infection of leprosy, and eruption, Lev 14:55 and for leprosy of a garment, and of a house,
Lev 14:56 and for a swelling, and for a scab,
and for a bright spot, Lev 14:57 to teach when
it is unclean and when it is clean. This is the Torah of leprosy.”
Chapter 15.: The issue of uncleanness in man or woman, we
read again a short explanation from Keil
and Delizsch:Lev
15:1 The
Uncleanness of Secretions. - These include (1) a running issue from a man (Lev_15:2-15);
(2) involuntary emission of seed
(sperm) (Lev_15:16, Lev_15:17), and the emission of seed in sexual
intercourse (Lev_15:18); (3) the monthly period of a woman (Lev_15:19-24); (4) a diseased issue of blood from a woman (Lev_15:25-30). They consist, therefore, of two
diseased and two natural secretions from the organs of generation.............It
is amazing that what come out of a man, his semen (sperm) which bring life, as
soon as it doesn’t go in the womb of the woman, it makes somebody who comes in
contact with it, unclean until the evening.:
Discharge: Strong’s#H2100 זוּב zûb Zoob A primitive root; to
flow freely (as water),
that is, (specifically) to have a (sexual) flux; figuratively to waste away; also to overflow: - flow, gush out, have a (running) issue, pine away, run.................Any bed become
unclean, the garments, and any object on which he sits become unclean and
anyone who touches must be washed. Everything coming in contact with the
discharge become unclean and must be washed with water: How it is today, this is an important issue, as for myself I believe
that we should be cautious of this uncleanness: Heb 10:19 So, brothers, having boldness to enter into the Set-apart Place by the blood of יהושע, Heb 10:20 by a new and living way which He instituted for
us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, Heb 10:21 and having a High Priest over the House
of Elohim, Heb 10:22
let us draw near with a true heart in completeness of belief, having our hearts
sprinkled from a wicked conscience and our
bodies washed with clean water. ………Is not the water the Torah?: Eph 5:26 in order to set it apart and cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word....How it is with the woman and her
monthly
19-28. She is unclean during seven days and
whatsoever she comes in contact is unclean until the evening and must be washed
with water. If the husband lies in the same bed, he becomes unclean during
seven days (verse 24), the bed is unclean and all the garments……There is a law
called the law of “nidah” which tell a woman that she will declare herself to
her husband unclean at the beginning of her menstruation and at the end of the
seventh day, she will immerse herself in water in order to be declared “clean”.
How it is today among those turning to the Torah from among the nations, how
man women are looking for this rules and apply to their life? This is not taught or seldom taught in the
assemblies, many leaders have not the courage to speak about this issue and so
participate in the uncleanness of many household. We are called to be a Royal
Priesthood, where are the Royal Priest in their Houses neglecting Torah study
and so ignore this law. As far as I know women until this very day women still
have their menstruation every month, how is it that nobody speak about the Torah for
one who has a discharge, and for him who emits semen and is unclean
thereby? Brothers and sisters let us become those Priest lovers of Torah, who
sanctify their house to make it a place of dwelling for purity and holiness. Be
aware that unclean do not mean sin but unacceptable for the service or
to be presented to the priest. Today the
Levitical priesthood has been set
aside and we can see what יהושע has done for us, every
form of offering been accomplished and thus finished through Messiah יהושע who has cleansed us by his blood.
Lev 15:1 And יהוה
spoke to Mosheh and to Aharon, saying, Lev 15:2
“Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, and say to them, ‘When any man has a discharge from his flesh, his discharge is unclean. Lev 15:3 ‘And this is his uncleanness in regard to
his discharge; whether his flesh runs
with his discharge, or his flesh is stopped up by his discharge, it is his
uncleanness. Lev 15:4 ‘Any bed becomes
unclean on which he who has the discharge lies, and any object on which he sits becomes unclean. Lev 15:5 ‘And anyone
who touches his bed has to wash his garments, and shall bathe in water, and
be unclean until evening. Lev 15:6 ‘And he who
sits on any object on which he who has the discharge sat, has to wash his
garments, and shall bathe in water, and be unclean until evening. Lev 15:7 ‘And he
who touches the flesh of him who has the discharge has to wash his
garments, and shall bathe in water, and shall
be unclean until evening.
Lev 15:8 ‘And when he who has the discharge spits on him
who is clean, then he shall wash his garments, and shall bathe in water, and be
unclean until evening. Lev 15:9 ‘Any saddle on which he who has the
discharge rides becomes unclean.
Lev
15:10 ‘And whoever touches any of that which was under him is unclean until
evening. And he who is carrying them up has to wash his garments, and shall
bathe in water, and be unclean until
evening. Lev 15:11 ‘And anyone whom he who
has the discharge touches without rinsing his hands in water, shall wash his
garments and bathe in water, and be
unclean until evening. Lev 15:12 ‘And the earthen vessel which he who has the
discharge touches has to be broken, and
every wooden vessel has to be rinsed in water. Lev
15:13 ‘And when he who has a
discharge is cleansed of his discharge, then he shall count for himself seven days for his cleansing, and shall
wash his garments, and shall bathe his flesh in running water, and be clean. Lev 15:14 ‘And on
the eighth day he takes for himself two turtledoves or two young pigeons,
and shall come before יהוה, to
the door of the Tent of Meeting, and shall give them to the priest.
Lev
15:15 ‘And the priest shall
prepare them, the one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering. And the priest shall make atonement for him
before יהוה
because of his discharge.
Lev
15:16 ‘And when a man has an
emission of semen, then he shall wash all his flesh in water, and be unclean
until evening.
Lev
15:17 ‘And any garment and any leather on which there is semen, shall also be
washed with water, and be unclean until
evening.
Lev
15:18 ‘And when a woman lies with a man, and there is an emission of semen, they both shall bathe in water, and be unclean until evening. Lev 15:19 ‘And when a woman has a discharge, and the discharge from her flesh is blood, she
has to be in her separation for seven days. And whoever touches her is
unclean until evening.
Lev
15:20 ‘And whatever she lies on during her separation is unclean. And whatever
she sits on is unclean.
Lev
15:21 ‘And anyone who touches
her bed has to wash his garments, and shall bathe in water, and be unclean
until evening. Lev 15:22 ‘And whoever touches any object that she sat on has to wash his garments,
and shall bathe in water, and be unclean
until evening. Lev 15:23 ‘And if it is on the bed or on any object on
which she sits, when he touches it, he
is unclean until evening. Lev 15:24 ‘And if any man lies with her at all, and her
monthly flow is on him, he shall be unclean seven days. And any bed he lies
on is unclean. Lev 15:25 ‘And when a woman has a discharge of blood for
many days, other than at the time of her monthly separation, or when
she discharges beyond her usual time of monthly separation, all the days of her unclean discharge
shall be as the days of her monthly separation. She is unclean. Lev 15:26 ‘Any bed
on which she lies all the days of her discharge is to her as the bed of her
monthly separation. And whatever she sits on is unclean, as the uncleanness of
her monthly separation.
Lev
15:27 ‘And anyone who touches
them is unclean, and shall wash his garments, and shall bathe in water, and be
unclean until evening. Lev 15:28 ‘But if she is cleansed of her discharge,
then she shall count for herself seven days, and after that she is clean. Lev 15:29 ‘And on
the eighth day she takes for herself two turtledoves or two young pigeons,
and shall bring them to the priest, to the door of the Tent of Meeting. Lev 15:30 ‘And the priest shall prepare the one as a
sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, and the priest shall make atonement for her before יהוה for the discharge of her
uncleanness. Lev 15:31 ‘Thus you shall separate
the children of Yisra’ĕl from their uncleanness, lest they die in their
uncleanness when they defile My Dwelling
Place which is in their midst. Lev 15:32 ‘This
is the Torah for one who has a discharge, and for him who emits semen and is unclean thereby, Lev 15:33 and for her who is sick in her monthly
separation, and for one who has a discharge, either man or woman, and for him
who lies with an unclean woman.’ ”
Haftorah :
In the Haftorah, the prophet Amos says that יהוה
will destroy the
“sinful reign “from the earth (verse8) and that he will sift the House of
Ya’acov who will not be destroyed, but the sinners of His people will die
by the sword!.............Do you think it is a light thing to neglect the
mitzvoth (commandments)? Today many people don’t even think to look if they are
sinning, this is rampant among Christianity, and unfortunately also among many
who have turned back to the Torah. Shabbat
keeping and going to the feast is NOT enough. We must give ourselves fully to
study the Torah in order to become these vessels of honour useful to the
Master.
2Ti 2:15 Do your utmost to present
yourself approved to Elohim, a
worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly
handling the Word of Truth. Shaul
goes on with a metaphor: 2Ti 2:20 But
in a large house there are not only
vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some unto value and some unto no value.
2Ti 2:21 If, then, anyone cleanses
himself from these matters,
he shall be a vessel unto value, having been set apart, of good use to the
Master, having been prepared for every
good work. ....Who
is the large House, is it not the Assembly of believers? Who are this vessel, are we not a vessel unto
יהוה? If we are these vessels, let us cleanse
ourselves from all what make us unclean to be prepared for good work.
Rom 6:19 I speak as a man, because of the weakness of your flesh. For even as
you did present your members as servants of uncleanness, and of lawlessness
resulting in lawlessness, so now present
your members as servants of righteousness resulting in set-apartness....2Ki 7:3 And there
were four leprous men at the entrance of
the gate. And they said to each other, “Why are we sitting here until we
are dead? 2Ki 7:4 “If we shall say, ‘Let us go
into the city,’ the scarcity of food is
in the city, and we shall die there. And if we sit here, we shall die. And
now, come, let us surrender to the army of the Arameans. If they keep us alive,
we live. And if they kill us, we shall die.” 2Ki 7:5
So at twilight they rose up to go to the camp of the Arameans. And when they
had come to the outskirts of the Aramean camp, look, no one was there. 2Ki 7:6 For יהוה
had caused the army of the Arameans to hear the noise of chariots and the noise
of horses, the noise of a great army, and they said to each other, “Look, the sovereign of Yisra’ĕl has hired
against us the sovereigns of the Ḥittites and the sovereigns of the Mitsrians
to come against us!” 2Ki 7:7 So they rose up
and fled at twilight, and left the camp as it is – their tents, and their
horses, and their donkeys – and they fled for their lives. 2Ki 7:8 And when these lepers came to the outskirts
of the camp, they went into one tent and ate and drank, and took from there
silver and gold and garments, and went and hid them. And they came back and
went into another tent, and took from there and went and hid it. 2Ki 7:9 Then they said to each other, “We are not
doing right. This day is a day of good news, and we are keeping silent. And if
we wait until morning light, then evil shall come upon us. And now, come, let
us go and inform the house of the sovereign.” 2Ki 7:10
And they came and called to the gatekeepers of the city, and informed them,
saying, “We went to the camp of Aram, and look, there is not a man or a voice
of man, only horses tied and donkeys tied, and the tents as they were.” 2Ki 7:11 And the gatekeepers called, and they
informed the house of the sovereign inside. 2Ki 7:12
So the sovereign rose up in the night and said to his servants, “Let me now
inform you what the Arameans have done to us. They know that we are starving,
so they have gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the field, saying,
‘When they come out of the city, we shall catch them alive, and enter into the
city.’ ” 2Ki 7:13 And one of his servants
answered and said, “Please, let some take five of the horses that are left in
the city. Look, they are like the entire crowd of Yisra’ĕl that are left in it,
look, they are like the entire crowd of Yisra’ĕl left from those who are
consumed. So let us send and see.”
2Ki
7:14 They then took two
chariots with horses. And the sovereign sent them in the direction of the camp
of Aram ,
saying, “Go and see.” 2Ki 7:15 And they went
after them to the Yardĕn. And look, all the way was littered with garments and
weapons which the Arameans had thrown away in their haste. And the messengers
returned and reported to the sovereign. 2Ki 7:16
Then the people went out and plundered the camp of Aram . So a seah of fine flour was
for a sheqel, and two seahs of barley for a sheqel, according to the word of יהוה.
2Ki 7:17 And the sovereign had appointed the
officer on whose hand he leaned to be in charge of the gate. But the people
trampled him in the gate, and he died, as the man of Elohim had said, who spoke
when the sovereign came down to him. 2Ki 7:18
And it came to be, as the man of Elohim had spoken to the sovereign, saying,
“Two seahs of barley for a sheqel, and a seah of fine flour for a sheqel, at
this time tomorrow in the gate of Shomeron,” 2Ki 7:19
that officer answered the man of Elohim, and said, “Now look, if יהוה
is making windows in the heavens, is it according to this word?” And he had
said, “Look, you are about to see it with your eyes, but not eat of it.” 2Ki 7:20 And so it came to be for him, for the people
trampled him in the gate, and he died.

For the wages of sin is death, but the
favourable gift of Elohim is everlasting life in Messiah יהושע
