Parsha Vayetze – And went out

Parsha Vayetze – And went out - B’reshit 28:10 – 32:3

Haftorah: Hoshea 12:13 – 14:10, Yochanan 1:43-51

This Parsha will bring us to Ya’acov’, and his marriage with Lea and Rachel, the abusing of his uncle Laban, and Ya’acov returning to his Father’s land. All what we do in life will have an influence on our future, for good or for bad, if we are in Messiah , Elohim will turn our bad to good as it is written “all things work for good to those who love Elohim” (Rom.8:28). Ya’acov had to flee from his brother’s anger Esau who wanted to kill him. Once again we will turn to the book of Yasher (the Just) to have more details concerning what happened to Ya’acov during his journey. If we look the Torah b’reshit chapter 28, between verse 5 and the verse 10 we have mention of Esau taking a wife, marrying Ishmael daughter, and we don’t know about Ya’acov condition on his way to his uncle Laban. In verse 10 we read that Ya’acov moved from Beershebah (well of oath) to Charan (parched place). We have here already an indication of what will come upon Ya’acov, who live a place of comfort with his father and mother and goes to a parched (dry, arid sunburned) place. We have already Ya’acov’s frame of life for the coming years. Now by reading Yasher we get important information concerning the distress of Ya’acov. He left at the age of seventy seven! .......Yasher chapter 29 : 30. and Isaac finished commanding Jacob and blessing him, and he gave him many gifts, together with silver and gold, and he sent him away; and Jacob hearkened to his father and mother; he kissed them and arose and went to Padan-aram; and Jacob was seventyseven years old when he went out from the land of Canaan from Beersheba. 31. and when Jacob went away to go to Haran Esau called unto his son Eliphaz, and secretly spoke unto him, saying, Now hasten, take thy sword in thy hand and pursue Jacob and pass before him in the road, and lurk for him, and slay him with thy sword in one of the mountains, and take all belonging to him and come back. 32. and Eliphaz the son of Esau was an active man and expert with the bow as his father had taught him, and he was a noted hunter in the field and a valiant man. 33. and Eliphaz did as his father had commanded him, and Eliphaz was at that time thirteen* years old, and Eliphaz rose up and went and took ten of his mother's brothers with him
and pursued Jacob.* Thirteen the number for rebellion. Eliphaz is also Ya’acov nephew! 34. and he closely followed Jacob, and he lurked for him in the border of the land of Canaan opposite to the city of Shechem.
35. and Jacob saw Eliphaz and his men pursuing him, and Jacob stood still in the place in which he was going, in order to know what this was, for he did not know the thing; and Eliphaz drew his sword and he went on advancing, he and his men, toward Jacob; and Jacob said unto them, What is to do with you that you have come hither, and what meaneth it that you pursue with your swords. 36. and Eliphaz came near to Jacob and he answered and said unto him, Thus did my father command me, and now therefore I will not deviate from the orders which my father gave me; and when Jacob saw that Esau had spoken to Eliphaz to employ force, Jacob
then approached and supplicated Eliphaz and his men, saying to him, 37. Behold all that I have and which my father and mother gave unto me, that take unto thee and go from me, and do not slay me, and may this thing be accounted unto thee a righteousness. 38. and YHWH caused Jacob to find favor in the sight of Eliphaz the son of Esau, and his men, and they hearkened to the voice of Jacob, and they did not put him to death, and
Eliphaz and his men took all belonging to Jacob together with the silver and gold that he had brought with him from Beersheba; they left him nothing. 39. and Eliphaz and his men went away from him and they returned to Esau to Beersheba, and they told him all that had occurred to them with Jacob, and they gave him all that
they had taken from Jacob.40. and Esau was indignant (mad) at Eliphaz his son, and at his men that were with him, because they had not put Jacob to death. 41. and they answered and said unto Esau, Because Jacob supplicated us in this matter not to slay him, our pity was excited toward him, and we took all belonging to him and brought it unto thee; and Esau took all the silver and gold which Eliphaz had taken from Jacob and he put them by in his house............
We have now a better understanding of Ya’acov’s journey to his uncle Laban. Ya’acov was in panic when he saw Eliphaz, Esau’s son coming with other men to kill him. He was entangled in his own carnal nature. In spite of having been raised in יהוה’s Torah of righteousness, he wasn’t able to dominate his flesh. We see verse 38 that it is יהוה who gave him favour before Eliphaz! This is very important to understand, because we can all come in this kind of situation, and react in the flesh. To know about יהוה is not enough, what we need is to have a relationship with him. The carnal nature in each of us is not to be underestimated ,Ya’acov had acted on his own flesh after his carnal nature deceiving his brother Esau to get the blessing from his father. In fact it was Elohim’s will. Was it necessary for Ya’acov to “help” Elohim? The question may be asked, but the answer is obviously NO! Ya’acov action will have consequences in his life. How it is with us, how many times have we tried to help Elohim in His plan for us? We know already that the promise stand, Elohim promised Itzakh to bless his descendance, and Ribkah got also the words from Elohim that Esau will serve Ya’acov (Chap.25:23), nevertheless, Ya’acov as his name was given him was a “suplanter” a “deceiver”: Gen 27:35 and he said, Thy brother came with subtilty, and hath taken away thy blessing.
Gen 27:36 and he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me?.
The name bears already part of the character and has been used among the Hebrews by divine inspiration so that we can see how Elohim will gives important indications for the coming generation. Remember that later Ya’acov’s name will be changed to Israel.  If we compare Ya’acov’s life before he was confrontes by his oncle Laban, with יהושע we will see the difference between both, the one following his flesh (canal nature), the second following his Father in the Ruach (Spirit). There is always a deep meaning to learn in the Parsha. We should be patient to dig, searching our own heart, and so been transformed by the renewing of our mind (Rom.12:2).
Nathan Lawrence from Hoshana Rabbah point to something interesting in Ya’acov life: -- Scripture reveals the spiritual law of reciprocity: You reap what you sow (Gen. 8:22; Gal. 6:7-9). If you don’t sow you will not reap. If you sow evil or good you will reap the same. Jacob had to learn this law the hard way. In Job 4:8 we read, “Even as I have seen, they that plough iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same.” Jacob gained the birthright through posing as Esau (a deception) and Laban in turn deceives Jacob by putting Leah under the veil posing as Rachel in Jacob’s marriage bed. It is very easy to see the principle of reaping and sowing in others’ lives, but in our own? Very difficult! Aren’t we prone to concoct every excuse and argument imaginable to justify our evil actions and then blame the results on others? Prayerfully take a long and hard look at your life, examine hardships and trials, and honestly ask yourself the question: am I reaping what I have sown? It is never too late to repent and make a course correction—to bring your life into agreement with YHVH’s Word and will and to start reaping the blessings.......
Gen 28:10 and Yaʽaqoḇ went out from Be’ĕrsheḇa and went toward Ḥaran (parched, dry, sun burned).  Gen 28:11 and he came upon a place and stopped over for the night, for the sun had set, and he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep.
“For the sun had set……..” Ya’acov walked in the day. This is an allusion to his life style. Read:
1Th 5:4 But you, brothers, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.  1Th 5:5 For you are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness..........
To walk in the day is a euphemism of walking in the Torah! “He went from Be’ersheba and went toward Haran………” The Hebrew meaning of the place will help us to see the spiritual meaning of this action. .....
Be’ersheba: Srong’s # H884 בּאר שׁבע be'êr sheba‛written beith, aleph, resh, shin, beith,Ayin.  be-ayr' sheh'-bah   From H875 and H7651 (in the sense of H7650); well of an oath; Beer Sheba, a place in Palestine: - Beer-shebah.  Haran: Strong’s # H 2771 חרן chârân khaw-rawn' written chet, resh, nun final.
From H2787; parched; Charan, the name of a man and also of a place: - HaranH2787 chârar khaw-rar'
A primitive root; to glow, that is, literally (to melt, burn, dry up) or figuratively (to show or incite passion): - be angry, burn, dry, kindle. ....Be’ersheba was the place where Abraham did made and oath with Abimelech (B’reshit 21:31) a place where Abraham was following godly principle even toward those who were not following יהוה.
Haran, the parched place where there is no interest for יהוה, a dry place for the soul where Ya’acov twenty years long, will glow in his soul through Laban’s injustice until he become angry. Just think about that! יהוה didn’t take Ya’acov from a place where he was in trouble just to bring him in a “nice” place where everything runs easy. No! Ya’acov will be abused from now on, and during twenty years by Laban, his uncle, his mother’s brother Ribkah. Ya’acov deceitful nature will suffer during the time he will spend with his uncle. He will have the return of what he did to his brother Esau. Ya’acov destiny was already sealed in his mother’s womb and from now on יהוה will teach Ya’acov through the hardness of life! This can look similar to many of us, who came to יהוה having been raised after the tradition of man. Do you know that today many people are no more able to discern between lies and truth? Excuse is found for all evil depending on the position the one may have. The world makes category classifying between small and big lies, and this is one example. All this didn’t changed Ya’acov from becoming one of the patriarchs. Ya’acov had been raised in the right way and will not depart from it, he needed to be refined by the challenge of life. Unfortunately today too much people reject the Torah’s teaching and prefer to follow the spirit of the world “humanism”. Read: Zec 13:9 and I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, YHWH is my Elohim……. Pro 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he turns not away from it. ....Today there is a discussion in the French parliament to make a law to forbid to correct a child by giving him a hand on his bums, thus again going against יהוה‘s instruction to chastise a child Ya’acov was in heaviness of heart that he had to leave his father’s place to go without knowing what will become of him. We have some details in the book of Yasher which give us more inside in Ya’acov’s conditions and enlighten our understanding concerning the dream he had.
Yasher 30 1. and Jacob went forth continuing his road to Haran (Charan), and he came as far as mount Moriah, and he tarried there all night near the city of Luz; and YHWH appeared there unto Jacob on that night, and he said unto him, I am YHWH Elohim of Abraham and the
Elohim of Isaac thy father; the land upon which thou liest I will give unto thee and thy seed. 2. and behold I am with thee and will keep thee wherever thou goest, and I will multiply thy seed as the stars of Heaven, and I will cause all thine enemies to fall before thee; and when they shall make war with thee they shall not prevail over thee, and I will bring thee again unto this land with joy, with children, and with great riches. 3. and Jacob awoke from his sleep and he rejoiced greatly at the vision which he had seen; and he called the name of that place Bethel. 4. and Jacob rose up from that place quite rejoiced, and when he walked his feet felt light to him for joy, and he went from there to the land of the children of the East, and he returned to Haran and he set by the shepherd's well................
The land of the east: Gen 4:16 and Cain went out from the presence of YHWH, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.
Nod:Strong’s #H5113 נודnôd
BDB Definition:   Nod = ““wandering”    land to which Cain fled or wandered after the murder of Abel
Gen 29:1 Then Jacob went on his journey, and came into the land of the people of the east.
Can you see the connection? One more detail: Shinar: Strong’s #8152 שׁנער shin‛âr  BDB Definition:
Shinar = “country of two rivers” 1) the ancient name for the territory later known as Babylonia or Chaldea . Shinar later known as Babylonia.
The Land of Nod in the East is called the land of wandering also exile (Strong). Caïn was in exile, meaning separate from Elohim presence. There is a deeper meaning in Ya’acov’s life, his person and who he is as Ya’acov and later as Israel, as we discover when we read. Is not the Ya’acov now spiritualy in exile?
Isa 51:1 Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek YHWH: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.  Isa 51:2 Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.  Isa 51:3 for YHWH shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of YHWH; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.  Isa 51:4 hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.  Isa 51:5 My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.  Isa 51:6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever and my righteousness shall not be abolished.  Isa 51:7 hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.  Isa 51:8 for the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool: but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation from generation to generation.  Isa 51:9 awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of YHWH; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Art thou not it that hath cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon?
Isa 51:10 art thou not it which hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?  Isa 51:11 Therefore the redeemed of YHWH shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.  Isa 51:12 I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass;  Isa 51:13 and forgettest YHWH thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?  Isa 51:14 The captive exile hasteneth that he may be loosed, and that he should not die in the pit, nor that his bread should fail.  Psa 107:2 Let the redeemed of YHWH say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;   Isa 2:6 for You have forsaken Your people the house of Jacob, because they have become full from the east, and are fortune-tellers like the Philistines. And they clap their hands with the children of strangers. ……
“And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep. “
Ya’acov took a stone to put his head to sleep! Have you ever tried to lay your head on a stone to sleep? That’s not the most comfortable place to put the head.
The stone in Hebrew is the word “eben” meaning “to build”. It is written that he will use it as a pillow! In Hebrew the word for “pillow” is the word “מראשׁה mera'ăshâh written mem, resh, aleph, shin;he. Meaning, “head rest” It seems that something will happen during the night, the meaning is hidden and Elohim reveal in “his time”. The head is the centre of man’s thinking also called in Hebrew “ketter” in English “will” in the tree of life it is the highest “sefirot” (attribute) the place that no man can reach, יהוה’s perfect will from whence his will flow down to “Malkut” the Kingdom. ---- Gen 28:12 and he dreamed and saw a ladder set up on the earth and its top reached to the  heavens, and saw messengers of Elohim going up and coming down on it. יהושע says in Yochanan 1:51 “Truly, truly, I say to you, from now on you shall see the heaven opened, and the messengers of Elohim ascending and descending upon the Son of Aḏam.”  ......He repeats what was happening to Ya’acov. The p’shat (literal) level does not help to understand the meaning. In the esoteric context we can see more. The ladder set up on the earth reaching to the heavens with the “messengers” going up and coming down on it, represent the middle pillar from the tree of life. This middle pillar is Messiah יהושע (the son of Adam) and connects the earth (Malkut) to the heavens (Ketter) through “Yesod” the foundation and “Tiferet” as it is written, I am the way (Malkut) the truth (Yesod) and the life (Tiferet), no man comes to the father but through me.(Yochanan 14:6). Can you se the parallel between this verse and the Tree of life? This is repeated in the Tabernacle construction as we will see in the parsha. The ladder shows that we have always access to the Father through יהושע Messiah, the angels going up to יהוה’ throne first (from the earth) and coming down to man thus making the mediation between man and Elohim!..Ya’acov had a dream. Sh’lomo says something about dream. Let us read: Ecc 5:3 for a dream comes through the greatness of the task………..The King James Version put it another way: Ecc 5:3 for a dream cometh through the multitude of business; ……. Ya’acov came from the confrontation with Eliphaz, Esau’s son and had need to rest from his trouble. Gen 28:13 and see, יהוה stood above it and said, “I am יהוה Elohim of Aḇraham your father and the Elohim of Yitsḥaq. The land on which you are lying, I give it to you and your seed. ….“ and יהוה stood above it…….” Verse 12 it is written that the messenger were going up and coming down. The statement “,יהוה stood above it” is to make clear that יהוה is the source of the dream. Many have put this in the literal only and thus forgot that יהוה is Ruach (Spirit) and have never been seen by man! (1st Thimot. 6:16). Verse 14-15 יהוה confirm to Ya’acov the promise He did to his Fathers Itzaqh and Abraham by repetition. Gen 28:14 “And your seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and you shall break forth to the west and to the east, to the north and the south. And all the clans of the earth shall be blessed in you and in your seed.  Gen 28:15 “And see, I am with you and shall guard you wherever you go, and shall bring you back to this land, for I am not going to leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”
Gen 28:16 and Yaʽaqoḇ awoke from his sleep and said, “Truly, יהוה is in this place, and I did not know it.”
Yasher 29 3. and Jacob awoke from his sleep and he rejoiced greatly at the vision which he had seen; and he called the name of that place Bethel. 4. and Jacob rose up from that place quite rejoiced, and when he walked his feet felt light to him for joy, and he went from there to the land of the children of the East, and he
returned to Haran and he set by the shepherd's well. We see here clearly that Ya’acov called the place “Beth’El” because of the dream
Strong’s # H 3372 give the Hebrew word “Yare” verse 17 with “afraid and dreadful” while Brown Driver Briggs give also other meanings:” to be in awe, to inspire reverence “ which would have more sense in this context. The book of Yasher confirms the context.  Gen 28:17 and he was afraid (in awe) and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of Elohim, and this is the gate of the heavens! (Malkut)”  Gen 28:18 and Yaʽaqoḇ rose early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put at his head, set it up as a standing column, and poured oil on top of it (anointed).  Gen 28:19 and he called the name of that place Bĕyth Ěl, however, the name of that city had been Luz previously.  Beth’el was called before “Luz”. The Hebrew meaning for “Luz” is Strong’s # H3870 given by Brown, Driver, Briggs as “almond tree”. This is very interesting has the “almond tree” now called by Ya’acovBeth’el (House of El) will be the rod that buds from Aaron. Almonds are also found in the menorah (candlestick)….. Num 17:8 And it came to be on the next day that Mosheh went into the Tent of the Witness and saw that the rod of Aharon, of the house of Lĕwi, had budded, and brought forth buds, and blossomed and bore ripe almonds. Exo 25:31 and thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same. Exo 25:32 and six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side: Exo 25:33 Three bowls made like unto almonds, with a knop and a flower in one branch; and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch, with a knop and a flower: so in the six branches that come out of the candlestick. .....We know that this rod represent in the “sod” יהושע’s authority which has passed from Levi to Messiah! Gen 49:10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.
Shilo is recognized to be another name for Messiah. When יהושע came he gave the authority to Kefa (Peter) and the apostles: Mat 16:19 and I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. .........When Messiah did gave the keys to Kefa, was it not after his departure? Gal 1:22 and was unknown by face unto the assemblies of Judaea which were in the Messiah:………………….
2:1 then fourteen years after I (Paul) went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also.
Gal 2:2 and I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them concerning the evangel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain………
Gal 2:7 but contrariwise, when they saw that the evangel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the evangel of the circumcision was unto Peter; Gal 2:8 (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)
Gal 2:9 and when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the favour that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision. .........
The order here is clear: Ya’acov Messiah’s brother, Kefa (Peter) and Yochanan (John)....... In our today’s parsha Ya’acov is a messianic picture of יהושע who will go to the pagan world (Laban’s place in the East) in the end days to gather again the bride from the House of Yahudah (Lea) and the House of Israel or Ephraim (Rachel).
Gen 28:20 and Yaʽaqoḇ made a vow, saying, “Seeing Elohim is with me, and has kept me in this way that I am going, and has given me bread to eat and a garment to put on – Gen 28:21 when I have returned to my father’s house in peace, and יהוה has been my Elohim,  Gen 28:22 then this stone which I have set as a standing column shall be Elohim’s house, and of all that You give me, I shall certainly give a tenth to You.” ……
Here the word ”asar” (the tenth of what I have accumulate) is directly connected to the number Ten which is a divine number used in the Torah in many places to indicate the sum of all numbers, used by Elohim to indicate divine purpose.
Let us read the Hebrew text and see what we can grasp:

How can Ya’acov pay tithe, while the Torah never mention that he paid tithe?
The answer is to be found in the seed, While Ya’acov promised to pay tithe, this will be fulfilled by his descendants (seed/zera/sperma).
Hebrew 7 :5 And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:

I don’t want to enforce any false idea it can also be the root of Moshe mitzvah (commandment) of tithe found in Vayiqqra (Lev.) 27:30, there is no mention of this tither in the book of Yasher. …..
Gen 29:1 and Yaʽaqoḇ moved on and came to the land of the people of the East. ...... “The people from the East”:
We read:  Psa 103:12 As far as east is from west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. ........
To understand now what is going on at the well, we will have to leave the P’shat level and look in the Sod (mystery or hidden meaning). Remember we saw that Ya’acov in the tree of life has the position in “Tiferet”(beauty) which is the position hold by Messiah יהושע.
The sheep are a picture of the believers (Yoch.10:14-16). The well is the place to get water. The water is a euphemism for יהוה’s word (Eph. 5:26). For the stone upon the well’s mouth try to found the connection with Matt.27:60. Messiah was dead and the “stone” before the tomb separated him from the living. The stone had to be removed in order for the talmidin (disciples) to have access to him, the “living water”
The shepherd who came with the sheep came from Haran “the parched place” meaning also “roasted” an allusion to the “tribulations” of life following the false shepherds, Laban’s servants! Ya’acov called them brothers because they were from Laban’s household. It is very interesting as we read יהושע’ words:
Mat 28:10 Then יהושע said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go, report to My brothers, to go to Galil, and they shall see Me there.” Heb 2:11 for both he that sanctifieth and they who are set apart are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Heb 2:12 saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the assembly will I sing praise unto thee. ........ Verse 6 Rahel is coming. Rahel in Hebrew רחל means “to journey” also “ewe” the female being the predominant of the flock (Strong’s# H7354). Rahel is a picture of the bride of Messiah, she has one flock while the others shepherd have three (a picture of the different Christians denomination not united)....... Gen 29:2 and he looked and saw a well in the field, and saw three flocks of sheep lying by it, for out of that well they watered the flocks, and a large stone was on the well’s mouth.  Gen 29:3 and all the flocks would be gathered there, then they would roll the stone from the well’s mouth and water the sheep, and put the stone back in its place on the well’s mouth.
Gen 29:4 so Yaʽaqoḇ said to them, “My brothers, where are you from?” And they said, “We are from Ḥaran.”
Gen 29:5 and he said to them, “Do you know Laḇan son of Naḥor?” And they said, “We know him.”
Gen 29:6 so he said to them, “Is he well?” And they said, “Well. And see, his daughter Raḥĕl is coming with the sheep.”  Gen 29:7 and he said, “See, it is still high day, not the time for the livestock to be gathered together. Water the sheep, and go and feed them.”  Gen 29:8 but they said, “We are not allowed until all the flocks are gathered together, and they have rolled the stone from the well’s mouth, then we shall water the sheep.”  Gen 29:9 while he was still speaking with them, Raḥĕl came with her father’s sheep, for she was a shepherdess.  Gen 29:10 and it came to be, when Yaʽaqoḇ saw Raḥĕl the daughter of Laḇan his mother’s brother, and the sheep of Laḇan his mother’s brother, that Yaʽaqoḇ went near and rolled the stone from the well’s mouth, and watered the flock of Laḇan his mother’s brother.
Now we can see the “sod” with Ya’acov removing the stone from the well’s mouth, “and watered the flock of Laban his mother’s brother”.
*  Who is Ya’acov, is he not a picture of Messiah יהושע?
*  Who is the flock of Laban, is it not the “believers” coming from pagan traditions?
*  Who is Rahel, is she not the bride coming to well?
*  What is the stone covering the well’s mouth, is it not the stony heart?
Eze 11:19 “And I shall give them one heart, and put a new spirit within you. And I shall take (remove) the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh,
Eze 36:26 “And I shall give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you, and I shall take the heart of stone out of your flesh, and I shall give you a heart of flesh,
Many times in the Torah and the Brit HaChadasha (N.T.) the stone in particular in the burial are and euphemism for man’s heart condition. By removing the stone from the mouth’s well, the flock had access to the “water of life” (double meaning: stony heart removed and to have access to Messiah יהושע the living water).
Gen 29:11 and Yaʽaqoḇ kissed Raḥĕl, and lifted up his voice and wept. .....
Ya’acov kissed Rahel “the bride” and wept, read:
Joh 11:35 יהושע wept.
Joh 11:36 The Yehuḏim therefore said, “See how He loved him!”
Joh 11:39 יהושע said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of him who had
Who is El’azar (Eliezer) in this passage from Yochanan, and what is the meaning of removing the stone? Eddie Chemney gives a beautiful explanation of the parable in Yochanan 11 concerning Eliezer.
Here a summary of it: ---  Lazarus was sick (Ps.69:20, 88:1, Pro.13:12, Is 1:5) associated with the House of Ya’acov in exile:
Eze 34:4  The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away (exiled), neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them. Lazarus was from Beth-any (House of affliction)
Afflicted: Hebrew is the word “any” poor, lowly:
Zep 3:12 I will also leave in the midst of thee an afflicted (Heb.any) and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of YHWH.  Zec 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly (Heb. Any), and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.  Both Ya’acov and יהושע are both “any”, afflicted, lowly. How can it be ask Eddie? Because at Mount Sinai יהוה became one with his people and he feels the affliction of his people:   Jer 4:17 as keepers of a field, are they against her round about; because she hath been rebellious against me, saith YHWH.  Jer 4:18 Thy way and thy doings have procured these things unto thee; this is thy wickedness, because it is bitter, because it reacheth unto thine heart.  Jer 4:19 My bowels, my bowels! I (יהוה) am pained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.
The two sisters Maria, Hebrew Miriam and Martha: ---
Ya’acov is also said to have two sisters:
Eze 23:1 The word of YHWH came again unto me, saying, Eze 23:2 Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother: Eze 23:3 and they committed whoredoms in Egypt; they committed whoredoms in their youth: there were their breasts pressed, and there they bruised the teats of their virginity. Eze 23:4 and the names of them were Aholah the elder, and Aholibah her sister: and they were mine, and they bare sons and daughters. Thus were their names; Samaria (Ephraim) is Aholah, and Jerusalem (Yehudah) Aholibah. .......
Ahola: Strong's H170 אָהֳלָה אָהֳלָהּ 'Oholah (o-hol-aw') (in form a feminine of H168, but in fact for .Oholahh {o-hol-aw'}) n/p.
1. her tent (i.e. idolatrous sanctuary)
2. Oholah, a symbol. name for Samaria
Aholibah Strong's H172 אָהֳלִיבָּה אָהֳלִיבָּהּ 'Oholiybah (o''-hol-ee-baw') ((similarly with H170) for hOholiybahh {o''-hol-e-baw'}) n/p.
1. my tent (is) in her
2. Oholibah, a symbolic name for Judah

Miriam: Strong’s #H4813 from #H4805 Meree and Marah , rebellion, bitterness/...... Martha: Strong’s # G3136 Μάρθα Martha mar'-thah. Probably of Chaldee origin (meaning mistress); Martha,
Both sisters are a picture of the House of Israel and the House of Yehudah, Lazarus is a picture of both House, the House of Ya’acov reunited. יהושע calling Lazarus out of the Tomb is a picture of the end of the exile of both house at the starting of the Millennium.  Lazarus was in the grave already four days. Messiah came on the fourth day to restore the House of Ya’acov.
If we read the account of Lazarus, knowing that he is a picture of the House of Ya’acov and the sisters are both a picture of the House of Israel and the House of Yehudah, we can see a beautiful promise in the “sod”.   But let us go back to our today’s parsha.   Here again only the “sod” reveal the deeper meaning missed by all those pretenders false pastors during the centuries. יהושע told this to His talmidin (disciples), those who would follow him no matter what!
Mar 4:11 and He said to them, “To you it has been given to know the secret (sod) of the reign of Elohim, but to those who are outside, all are done in parables (hidden meaning),  Are you outside or are you part of the bride to understand the deeper meanings?
Gen 29:12 and when Yaʽaqoḇ told Raḥĕl that he was her father’s relative and that he was Riḇqah’s son, she ran and told her father. Gen 29:13 and it came to be, when Laḇan heard the report about Yaʽaqoḇ his sister’s son, that he ran to meet him, and embraced him and kissed him, and brought him to his house. Then he told Laḇan all these matters.
Have you not wondered why Laban is running toward Ya’acov and kissed him? Do you think he is so happy to receive his brother’s son? If so he should have cherished him during the time Ya’acov spent there and not cheated him ten times! We can understand his attitude when we remember what happen with El’iezer (El’azar, Lazarus) when Abraham sent him to get a bride for his son Itzhaq:
Gen 24:34 and he said, “I am Aḇraham’s servant.  Gen 24:35 “And יהוה has blessed my master exceedingly, and he has become great, and He has given him flocks and herds, and silver and gold, and male and female servants, and camels and donkeys………………………….
Gen 24:53 and the servant brought out ornaments of silver, and ornaments of gold, and garments, and gave them to Riḇqah. He also gave costly gifts to her brother and to her mother. .......
Yasher 29  9. and Jacob told Rachel that he was the son of Rebecca, her father's sister, and Rachel ran and told her father, and Jacob continued to cry because he had nothing with him to bring to the house of Laban. 11. and Jacob related to Laban what his brother Esau had done to him, and what his son Eliphaz had done to him in the road
Laban remembered how El’azar the servant of Abraham blessed them with gift. Unfortunately, Ya’acov having been destitute by Eliphaz, Esau’s son, came empty handed, and Laban’s true nature will soon been revealed.
Have we not also been destitute by our brethren Esau’s descendants so that we have nothing to give (gold and silver) to those around us?
Gen 29:14 and Laḇan said to him, “You are indeed my bone and my flesh.” And he stayed with him for a month.  Gen 29:15 Then Laḇan said to Yaʽaqoḇ, “Because you are my relative, should you therefore serve me for naught? Let me know, what should your wages be?”  Gen 29:16 and Laḇan had two daughters, the name of the elder was Lĕ’ah, and the name of the younger was Raḥĕl.
I am sure that you have read this passage many times, as I did also. I always guessed the meaning and was not comfortable with the answer. The “sod” is not easy to found and all is embedded in Messiah יהושע, who is the revealed mystery hidden from the beginning of the creation.  Many years was I wondering about the meaning of “Leah’s eyes were weak” other versions say also “tender”. Anyway I knew there is a connection between the “weak” eyes from Leah and the “lovely form and appearance” from Rahel. The name bears more indication:
Rachel: Strong’s #H7353 רחל râchêl raw-khale' From an unused root meaning to journey; a ewe (the females being the predominant element of a flock), (as a good traveller): - ewe, sheep.
Ewe: The female of a sheep! Can you see the relationship? Who are the sheep? Rachel and Ephraim, Leah was the first to be married to Ya’acov, Yehudah (Ya’acov’s fourth son by Leah) was directly united to יהושע been from the same tribe, nevertheless, Ephraim (Rachel)“lovely of form and appearance” because they follow יהושע without questioning. Rachel is the mother of Yoseph who got Ephraim and Manasseh the House of Israel!
Gen 29:17 and Lĕ’ah’s eyes were weak, but Raḥĕl was lovely of form and appearance.  .... The Hebrew word for “tender” or “weak” is the word “rak”. Shaul speaks the weak to be without faith in Rom. 14:1-2, 15:1, 1st Corinth.8:1, 4, 5, 7-9. Rahel was pleasant to look at in the sense of comeliness.  Here the relation of weak with Leah’s eyes is to be understood of inability to see! Let us see what Sha’ul say to the believers in Rome and Corinth: Rom 14:1 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. Rom 14:2 for one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs. Rom 15:1 we then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
I know your first reaction will be that there is no connection between the weak eyes from Leah and the weak in faith that Sha’ul is speaking of food but let see further:   1Co 8:1 now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but love edifieth………
1Co 8:4 as concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other Elohim but one.  1Co 8:5 for though there be that are called mighty ones, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be mighty ones many, and masters many,) 1Co 8:7 howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.
1Co 8:8 but food commendeth us not to YHWH: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.  1Co 8:9 but take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak1Co 10:28 but if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is YHWH's, and the fulness thereof:
Tit 1:15 unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiledHeb 9:14 How much more shall the blood of the Messiah, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to Elohim, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living Elohim? Heb 10:22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.  Heb 10:2 for then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
Do you see that the conscience is the seat of the remembrance of sin for those who have no faith and thus were called “weak” Sha’ul was not speaking of vegetarians as it is taught in Christianity but of those refusing to eat meat in the assembly fearing that this meat was offered to idols? The “strong” were those following Messiah having their conscience washed from remembrance of sin. With this in mind we can understand the words: “Lĕ’ah’s eyes were weak” because Leah is the representative of the House of Yehudah “the elder sister”. The beauty and lovely form of Rahel are directly connected to those from the House of Israel, Ephraim. ..... Now we are going to look in the “sod” in order to understand.  Leah has bear “Yehudah” her fourth son (Sh’mt 29:35), and RahelYoseph”, the two houses. Remember Torah is a progressive revelation. Ya’acov (Messiah) want to marry Rahel (the true Israel) but Leah (The House of Yehudah) will also been married to him, and will be first “weak” in the faith (confirmed by Shaul) until Elohim remove the veil of the letter of the Torah. Rahel’s love is mixed with jealousy when she saw her sister Leah prospering (bearing children), but Elohim didn’t forgot her! Read:
Isa 11:13 and the envy of Ephrayim shall turn aside, and the adversaries of Yehuḏah be cut off. Ephrayim shall not envy Yehuḏah, and Yehuḏah not trouble Ephrayim.  .....Ya’acov will serve seven years for Rahel. Seven is the number for divine perfection on earth!..... Gen 29:18 and Yaʽaqoḇ loved Raḥĕl, so he said, “Let me serve you seven years for Raḥĕl your younger daughter.”   Gen 29:19 and Laḇan said, “It is better that I give her to you than that I should give her to another man. Stay with me.”   Gen 29:20 so Yaʽaqoḇ served seven years for Raḥĕl, and they seemed to him but a few days because of the love he had for her.
Gen 29:21 then Yaʽaqoḇ said to Laḇan, “Give me my wife, for my days are completed, and let me go in to her.”
Gen 29:22 and Laḇan gathered all the men of the place and made a feast.  .....Yasher 31:  2. and in the evening Laban came to the house, and afterward Jacob came there with the people of the feast, and Laban extinguished all the lights that were there in the house. 3. and Jacob said unto Laban, Wherefore dost thou do this thing unto us? and Laban answered, Such is our custom to act in this land. 4. and afterward Laban took his daughter Leah, and he brought her to Jacob, and he came to her and Jacob did not know that she was Leah. 6. and all the people at the feast knew what Laban had done to Jacob, but they did not tell
the thing to Jacob. 7. and all the neighbours came that night to Jacob's house, and they ate and drank and
rejoiced, and played before Leah upon timbrels, and with dances, and they responded before Jacob, Heleah, Heleah. 8. and Jacob heard their words but did not understand their meaning, but he thought such
might be their custom in this land. 10. and in the morning, when daylight appeared, Jacob turned to his wife and he saw, and behold it was Leah that had been lying in his bosom, and Jacob said, Behold now I
know what the neighbors said last night, Heleah, they said, and I knew it not. Such is our custom to act in this land (verse 3). Read what Sha’ul writes to the believers in Thessalonica: --- 1Th 5:7 for they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. Night is a metaphor for outside the Torah. Laban a picture of HaSatan (the enemy) was doing his plan in the night, hidden so that Ya’acov was not able to see the craftiness of his uncle.  .....Gen 29:23 and it came to be in the evening, that he took Lĕ’ah his daughter and brought her to Yaʽaqoḇ. And he went in to her.  Gen 29:24 and Laḇan gave his female servant Zilpah to his daughter Lĕ’ah as a female servant.  Gen 29:25 and in the morning it came to be, that see, it was Lĕ’ah. So he said to Laḇan, “What is this you have done to me? Was it not for Raḥĕl that I served you? Why then have you deceived me?”  Gen 29:26 and Laḇan said, “It is not done this way in our place, to give the younger before the first-born.  Gen 29:27 “Complete the week of this one, then we give you this one too, for the service which you shall serve with me still another seven years.”  Gen 29:28 and Yaʽaqoḇ did so and completed her week. Then he gave him his daughter Raḥĕl too, as wife.  Gen 29:29 and Laḇan gave his female servant Bilhah to his daughter Raḥĕl as a female servant.  Gen 29:30 and he also went in to Raḥĕl, and he also loved Raḥĕl more than Lĕ’ah. And he served with Laḇan still another seven years.
Gen 29:31 and יהוה saw that Lĕ’ah was unloved, and He opened her womb, but Raḥĕl was barren.  Gen 29:32 and Lĕ’ah conceived and bore a son, and she called his name Re’uḇĕn, for she said, “for יהוה has looked on my affliction, because now my husband is going to love me.”  Gen 29:33 and she conceived again and bore a son, and said, “Because יהוה has heard that I am unloved, He gave me this son too.” And she called his name Shimʽon.  Gen 29:34 and she conceived again and bore a son, and said, “Now this time my husband is joined to me, because I have borne him three sons.” So his name was called Lĕwi.  Gen 29:35 and she conceived again and bore a son, and said, “Now I praise יהוה.” So she called his name Yehuḏah. And she ceased bearing.  ….From the verse 30 to chapter 30:24, we assist now on something looking like a competition to win Ya’acov’s favor or first position. If we see Ya’acov to be a picture of Messiah, we can see the house of Yehudah and the House of Israel, Ephraim (Leah and Rahel) seeking the favors of Elohim.
30:1 Rahel envied Leah, read: ----- Isa 11:13 and the envy of Ephrayim (Rahel) shall turn aside, and the adversaries of Yehuḏah (Leah) be cut off. Ephrayim (Rahel) shall not envy Yehuḏah (Leah), and Yehuḏah (Leah) not trouble Ephrayim (Ephraim). ....Isa 54:1 “Sing, O barren one, you who did not bear! Break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you who have not been in labour! For the children of the deserted one are more than the children of the married woman,” said יהוה.  Isa 54:2 “Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, spare not. Lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes.  Isa 54:3 “For you shall break forth to the right and to the left, and your seed inherit the nations, and make the deserted cities inhabited.  Isa 54:4 “Do not fear, for you shall not be put to shame, nor hurt, you shall not be humiliated. For the shame of your youth you shall forget, and not remember the reproach of your widowhood any more.
Isa 54:5 “For your Maker is your husband, יהוה of hosts is His Name, and the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕl is your Redeemer. He is called the Elohim of all the earth.  Isa 54:6 “For יהוה has called you like a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, like a wife of youth when you were refused,” declares your Elohim.  Isa 54:7 “For a little while I have forsaken you, but with great compassion I shall gather you. Gen 30:1 and when Raḥĕl saw that she bore Yaʽaqoḇ no children, Raḥĕl envied her sister, and said to Yaʽaqoḇ, “Give me children, or else I am going to die!”  Gen 30:2 and Yaʽaqoḇ’s displeasure burned against Raḥĕl, and he said, “Am I in the place of Elohim, who has withheld from you the fruit of the womb?”  Gen 30:3 and she said, “See, my female servant Bilhah; go in to her, and let her bear for me, and let me be built up from her as well.”  Gen 30:4 so she gave him Bilhah her female servant as wife, and Yaʽaqoḇ went in to her.  Gen 30:5 and Bilhah conceived and bore Yaʽaqoḇ a son.  Gen 30:6 and Raḥĕl said, “Elohim has rightly ruled my case, and has also heard my voice and given me a son.” So she called his name Dan.  Gen 30:7 and Raḥĕl’s female servant Bilhah conceived again and bore Yaʽaqoḇ a second son.  Gen 30:8 and Raḥĕl said, “With great wrestlings I have wrestled with my sister, and I have overcome.” So she called his name Naphtali.
Gen 30:9 and Lĕ’ah saw that she had ceased bearing, and she took Zilpah her female servant and gave her to Yaʽaqoḇ as wife.  Gen 30:10 and Lĕ’ah’s female servant Zilpah bore Yaʽaqoḇ a son.  Gen 30:11 and Lĕ’ah said, “With Gaḏ!” So she called his name Gaḏ.  Gen 30:12 And Lĕ’ah’s female servant Zilpah bore Yaʽaqoḇ a second son.  Gen 30:13 And Lĕ’ah said, “I am blessed, for the daughters shall call me blessed.” So she called his name Ashĕr.  Gen 30:14 and Re’uḇĕn went in the days of wheat harvest and found love-apples in the field, and brought them to his mother Lĕ’ah. And Raḥĕl said to Lĕ’ah, “Please give me some of your son’s love-apples.”
Gen 30:15 but she said to her, “Is it a small matter that you have taken away my husband? Would you take away my son’s love-apples too?” And Raḥĕl said, “Therefore let him lie with you tonight for your son’s love-apples* (mandrake).”  Gen 30:16 and when Yaʽaqoḇ came out of the field in the evening, Lĕ’ah went out to meet him and said, “Do come in to me, for indeed, I have hired you with my son’s love-apples.” And he lay with her that night.  Gen 30:17 and Elohim listened to Lĕ’ah, and she conceived and bore Yaʽaqoḇ a fifth son.  Gen 30:18 and Lĕ’ah said, “Elohim has given me my hire, because I have given my female servant to my husband.” So she called his name Yissasḵar.  Gen 30:19 and Lĕ’ah conceived again and bore Yaʽaqoḇ a sixth son.  .................*Mandrake:a low plant mandragora officinarum of the nightshade family, having a fleshy root, often forked (like a fork, having a double meaning) and suppose to resemble man. It was therefore suppose to have animal life and to cry out when pulled up. All parts of the plant are strongly narcotic (drug like opium also call devil’s apple). It is found in the Mediterranean region.
Yehudah had five brethren direct from his mother Leah. Knowing that we have a good hint; by reading the parable of Lazarus (El’azar) in Luke 16 that picture the condition of the divided house of Yehudah “the rich man” living in luxury like the Pharisee and El’azar (Lazarus) those of Yehudah who eat the crumbs like the talmidin (disciples)......Here the hint: ---- Luk 16:28 for I have five brothers, let him warn them, lest they also come to this place of torture.’ (From Leah: Reuben, Shimeon, Levi, from Zilpah: Zebulon and Issachar)
Gen 30:20 and Lĕ’ah said, “Elohim has presented me with a good present. Now my husband is going to dwell with me, because I have borne him six sons.” So she called his name Zeḇulun.  Gen 30:21 and afterward she bore a daughter, and called her name Dinah.  Gen 30:22 And Elohim remembered Raḥĕl, and Elohim listened to her and opened her womb.  Gen 30:23 and she conceived, and bore a son, and said, “Elohim has taken away my reproach.”  Gen 30:24 so she called his name Yosĕph, and said, “יהוה has added to me another son.”  Gen 30:25 and it came to be, when Raḥĕl had borne Yosĕph, that Yaʽaqoḇ said to Laḇan, “Send me on my way, to go to my own place and to my land.  ………….; It is important to take note that at this point Benjamin is not yet born. There is also a spiritual meaning with a powerful prophetic revelation of the last days in the birth of Benjamin.  Gen 30:26 “Give my wives and my children for whom I have served you, and let me go, for you yourself know my service which I have done for you.”  Gen 30:27 and Laḇan said to him, “If I have found favor in your eyes, please stay, for I have diligently watched that יהוה has blessed me for your sake.”  Gen 30:28 and he said, “Name me your wages, and I give it.”
Gen 30:29 so he said to him, “You know how I have served you and how your livestock has been with me.
Gen 30:30 “for the little you had before I came has increased greatly, and יהוה has blessed you since my coming. But now, when am I to provide for my own house too?”  Gen 30:31 and he said, “What do I give you?” And Yaʽaqoḇ said, “Give me naught! If you do this for me, I shall again feed and guard your flocks:
Gen 30:32Let me pass through all your flock today, removing from there all the speckled and spotted sheep, and all the black ones among the lambs, and the spotted and speckled among the goats. And these shall be my wages.   Gen 30:33 “and my righteousness shall answer for me in time to come, when you come concerning my wages: every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and black among the lambs, it is stolen if it is with me.”  Gen 30:34 and Laḇan said, “See, let it be according to your word!”
Gen 30:35 and on that day he set aside the male goats that were speckled and spotted, and all the female goats that were speckled and spotted, every one that had some white in it, and all the black ones among the lambs, and gave them into the hand of his sons.  Gen 30:36 and he put three days’ journey between himself and Yaʽaqoḇ, and Yaʽaqoḇ fed the rest of Laḇan’s flocks.  Gen 30:37 and Yaʽaqoḇ took for himself rods of green poplar and of the almond and chestnut trees, peeled white strips in them, and exposed the white which was in the rods.  Gen 30:38 and he set the rods which he had peeled before the flocks in the gutters, in the watering troughs where the flocks came to drink, and they conceived when they came to drink.
Gen 30:39 so the flocks conceived before the rods, and the flocks brought forth streaked, speckled, and spotted.
Gen 30:40 and Yaʽaqoḇ separated the lambs, and made the flocks face toward the streaked and all the black in the flock of Laḇan, but he put his own flocks by themselves and did not put them with Laḇan’s flock.
Gen 30:41 and it came to be, whenever the strong ones of the flock conceived, that Yaʽaqoḇ placed the rods before the eyes of the flock in the gutters, so they would conceive among the rods.   Gen 30:42 but when the flocks were weak, he did not put them in, so the weak ones were Laḇan’s and the strong ones Yaʽaqoḇ’s.
Gen 30:43 thus the man increased very much, and had many flocks, and female and male servants, and camels and donkeys. ……. Again we have inside this account a spiritual meaning Ya’acov been a picture of Messiah. In the “sod” we see that the goats and sheep represent all kind of believers (Matt. 25:31-33).
Ya’acov peeled the poplar, almond and chestnut’s rod. ….The speckled ones :  Speecled : Strong’s # H5348 נקד nâqôd ….BDB Definition:  1) speckled, marked with points . 1a) of sheep and goats  Y’aacov chose those who had a “mark”, they were predestinated been “mark”! can you see, the spiritual meaning?  Eph 1:5 having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Yehoshua the Messiah to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,  Rom 8:29 for whom he (Elohim) did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Rom 8:30 moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. …..The rod represents the human nature, the white represent purity and the water, the word of Elohim. “they conceived when they came to drink”. We could say they “multiply” when they came to drink at the water, the word of life, a picture of the believers increasing in the pagan world, taking the water of the Torah and become strong.  Again the picture of the strong the one living by faith, the weak the one living outside in the world here those scattered in the pagan world (Laban last days Babylon).  --- Gen 31:1 and he heard the words of Laḇan’s sons, saying, “Yaʽaqoḇ has taken away all that was our father’s, and from what belonged to our father he has made all this wealth.”  Gen 31:2 and Yaʽaqoḇ would look at the face of Laḇan and see that it was not toward him as before.   Gen 31:3 and יהוה said to Yaʽaqoḇ, “Return to the land of your fathers and to your relatives. And I am with you.”  Gen 31:4 and Yaʽaqoḇ sent and called Raḥĕl and Lĕ’ah to the field, to his flock,  Gen 31:5 and said to them, “I see your father’s face that it is not toward me as before, but the Elohim of my father has been with me.  Gen 31:6 “and you know that I have served your father with all my strength.  Gen 31:7 “Yet your father has deceived me and changed my wages ten times, but Elohim did not allow him to do evil to me.  Gen 31:8 “when he said this, ‘The speckled are your wages,’ then all the flocks bore speckled. And when he said this, ‘The streaked are your wages,’ then all the flocks bore streaked.  Gen 31:9 “so Elohim has taken away the livestock of your father and given them to me.  Gen 31:10 “and it came to be, at the time when the flocks conceived, that I lifted my eyes and looked in a dream and saw the rams which leaped upon the flocks were streaked, speckled, and mottled.
Gen 31:11 “and the Messenger of Elohim spoke to me in a dream, saying, ‘Yaʽaqoḇ.’ And I said, ‘Here I am.’
Gen 31:12 “and He said, ‘Lift your eyes now and see, all the rams which leap on the flocks are streaked, speckled, and mottled, for I have seen all that Laḇan is doing to you.   Gen 31:13 ‘I am the Ěl of Bĕyth Ěl, where you anointed the standing column and where you made a vow to Me. Now rise up, get out of this land, and return to the land of your relatives.’ ”  Gen 31:14 and Raḥĕl and Lĕ’ah answered and said to him, “Do we still have any portion or inheritance in our father’s house?  Gen 31:15 “are we not reckoned by him as strangers? For he has sold us, and also entirely consumed our silver.  Gen 31:16 “for all the wealth which Elohim has taken from our father are ours and our children’s. Now then, do whatever Elohim has told you.”  Gen 31:17 so Yaʽaqoḇ rose and put his sons and his wives on camels,
Gen 31:18 and he drove off all his livestock and all his possessions which he had acquired, his property of the livestock which he had acquired in Paddan Aram, to go to his father Yitsḥaq in the land of Kenaʽan.
Gen 31:19 and when Laḇan had gone to shear his sheep, Raḥĕl stole the house idols that were her father’s.
Ya’acov (the picture of the coming Messiah) was told by יהוה to return to the land of his fathers. We see again Abba יהוה unfolding His plan of salvation embedded in the life of Ya’acov and fulfilled in יהושע Messiah at his return: -- Eze 34:11 ‘for thus said the Master יהוה, “See, I Myself shall search for My sheep and seek them out.  Eze 34:12 “as a shepherd seeks out his flock on the day he is among his scattered sheep, so I shall seek out My sheep and deliver them from all the places where they were scattered in a day of cloud and thick darkness.  Eze 34:13 “and I shall bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the lands, and shall bring them to their own land. And I shall feed them on the mountains of Yisra’ĕl, in the valleys, and in all the dwellings of the land.  Eze 34:14 “in good pasture I shall feed them, and their fold shall be on the high mountains of Yisra’ĕl. They shall lie there in a good fold and feed in rich pasture on the mountains of Yisra’ĕl.  Jer 23:3 “therefore I shall gather the remnant of My flock out of all the lands where I have driven them, and shall bring them back to their fold. And they shall bear and increase. Jer 23:4 “and I shall raise up shepherds over them, and they shall feed them.1 And they shall fear no more, nor be discouraged, nor shall they be lacking,” declares יהוה. . Jer 23:5 “see, the days are coming,” declares יהוה, “when I shall raise for Dawiḏ a Branch1 of righteousness (Messiah), and a Sovereign shall reign and act wisely, and shall do right-ruling and righteousness in the earth. Footnote: 1Or sprout. Jer 23:6 “in His days Yehuḏah shall be saved, and Yisra’ĕl dwell safely. And this is His Name whereby He shall be called: ‘יהוה our Righteousness.’ Joh 10:14 “I am the good shepherd.1 and I know Mine, and Mine know Me,
Joh 10:15 even as the Father knows Me, and I know the Father. And I lay down My life for the sheep.
Joh 10:16 “and other sheep (Ephraim) I have which are not of this fold (house of Yahudah) – I have to bring them as well, and they shall hear My voice, and there shall be one flock, one shepherd( Leah and Rahel)
The adversary Laban (a picture of the last days Babylon) try to stop Ya’acov with the flock? During his time in Laban’s place Ya’acov was abused ten times. Ten divine the number for the sum of all numbers.
Now Elohim intervene to bring back Ya’acov (Messiah) back to the place of his fathers with wives Leah and Rahel (House of Yehudah and House of Israel) We should mention that both Leah and Rahel chose to follow Ya’acov on their own will.  Ya’acov (Messiah) tells Leah and Rahel that it is Elohim who has taken the flock (believers) from their father’s hand (Babylon, the world system), thus saying it was a divine appointment. Leah and Rahel had twenty years (2000 years!) time to see the righteousness of Ya’acov and the rebellion of their father! Bottom line: To understand our return to the land of our forefathers we just need to see what happened to Ya’acov and Laban knowing that Elohim was watching on Ya’acov in order to protect him and his household from Laban craftiness (tribulation). …..Gen 31:20 and Yaʽaqoḇ deceived Laḇan the Aramean, because he did not inform him that he was about to flee.
Gen 31:21 and he fled with all that he had. And he rose up and passed over the river, and headed toward the mountains of Gilʽaḏ.  Gen 31:22 and on the third day Laḇan was told that Yaʽaqoḇ had fled.  “and on the third day”. Here we have the last pictures when Messiah will lead the assembly to Elohim. The last days Babylon (Laban) will try once again to stop him, but יהוה has the control and he will not be able to do anything against the assembly who follow יהושע Messiah (Ya’acov). The third day is a picture of the millennium when HaSatan will be destroyed before the Olam Haba (Eternal life):  --- Hos 6:1 ‘Come, and let us turn back to יהוה. For He has torn but He does heal us, He has stricken but He binds us up.
Hos 6:2After two days He shall revive us, on the third day He shall raise us up, so that we live before Him.
Rev 20:6 blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of YHWH and of Messiah, and shall reign with him a thousand years. Rev 20:7 and when the thousand years are expired (end of the third day), Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, Rev 20:8 and shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. ....HaSatan like Laban will try once again to deceive but will not succeed. Three days equals three thousand years! HaSatan is loosed at the end of the third day since Messiah first coming.  Laban (The last days Babylon, the world system) will be deceived by Ya’acov (Messiah) at his departure with Leah and Rachel (Yehudah and Israel) and the flock, all the believers who walk in the Torah according to Eph. 2:19. Verse 19 we see Rachel stealing Laban’s idols, it could be that it is a picture of those believers who have not been fully cleansed from their false believe (the wheat and the tare!) but let us look at this idols and may be the reason why Rahel stole them, what is not obvious in the Torah and has been an open door for many fancy interpretations! ….. Yasher 31:
40. and Rachel stole her father's images, and she took them and she concealed them upon the camel upon which she sat, and she went on. 41. and this is the manner of the images; in taking a man who is the first born and slaying him and taking the hair off his head, and taking salt and salting the head and anointing it in oil, then taking a small tablet of copper or a tablet of gold and writing the name upon it, and placing the tablet under his tongue, and taking the head with the tablet under the tongue and putting it in the house, and lighting up lights before it and bowing down to it. 42. and at the time when they bow down to it, it speaketh to them in all matters that they ask of it, through the power of the name which is written in it. 43. and some make them in the figures of men, of gold and silver, and go to them in times known to them, and the figures receive the influence of the stars, and tell them future things, and in this manner were the images which Rachel stole from her father. 44. and Rachel stole these images which were her father's, in order that Laban might not know through them where Jacob had gone. 45. and Laban came home and he asked concerning Jacob and his household, and he was
not to be found, and Laban sought his images to know where Jacob had gone, and could not find them, and he went to some other images, and he inquired of them and they told him that Jacob had fled from him to his father's, to the land of Canaan. 46. and Laban then rose up and he took his brothers and all his servants, and he went forth and pursued Jacob, and he overtook him in mount Gilead. .....It is sometime hard to believe what we read with our rational mind especially in the west, but if we go to Africa or Asia in many countries it is tradition to consult the shamans (seers) or sorcerers of the tribes. This practice is forbidden in the Torah.
Gen 31:23 Then he took his brothers with him and pursued him for seven days’ journey, and he overtook him in the mountains of Gilʽaḏ.  Gen 31:24 but in a dream by night Elohim came to Laḇan the Aramean, and said to him, “Guard yourself, that you do not speak to Yaʽaqoḇ either good or evil.”  Gen 31:25 Then Laḇan overtook Yaʽaqoḇ. Now Yaʽaqoḇ had pitched his tent in the mountains, and Laḇan with his brothers pitched in the mountains of Gilʽaḏ.  Gen 31:26 and Laḇan said to Yaʽaqoḇ, “What have you done, that you have deceived me, and driven my daughters off like captives taken with the sword?  Gen 31:27 “Why did you flee secretly and deceive me, and not inform me, and I would have sent you away with joy and songs, with tambourine and lyre?  Gen 31:28 “And you did not allow me to kiss my sons and my daughters. Now you have been foolish to do this.  Gen 31:29It is in the power of my hand to do evil to you, but the Elohim of your father spoke to me last night, saying, ‘Guard yourself, that you do not speak to Yaʽaqoḇ either good or evil.’  Gen 31:30 “and now you have gone because you greatly long for your father’s house, but why did you steal my mighty ones?”   Gen 31:31 and Yaʽaqoḇ answered and said to Laḇan, “Because I was afraid, for I said, ‘Lest you tear your daughters away from me.’  Gen 31:32 “With whomever you find your mighty ones, do not let him live. In the presence of our brothers, see for yourself what is with me and take it with you.” For Yaʽaqoḇ did not know that Raḥĕl had stolen them.  Gen 31:33 and Laḇan went into Yaʽaqoḇ’s tent, and into Lĕ’ah’s tent, and into the tents of the two female servants, but he did not find them. And he came out of Lĕ’ah’s tent and entered Raḥĕl’s tent.  Gen 31:34 now Raḥĕl had taken the house idols and put them in the camel’s saddle, and sat on them. And Laḇan searched all about the tent but did not find them.  Gen 31:35 and she said to her father, “Let it not displease my master that I am unable to rise before you, for the way of women is with me.” And he searched but did not find the house idols.  Gen 31:36 and Yaʽaqoḇ was wroth and contended with Laḇan, and Yaʽaqoḇ answered and said to Laḇan, “What is my transgression? What is my sin, that you have hotly pursued me?  Gen 31:37 “Now that you have searched all my goods what have you found of all your household goods? Set it here before my brothers and your brothers, and let them decide between the two of us!
Gen 31:38 “These twenty years I have been with you. Your ewes and your female goats have not miscarried their young, and I have not eaten the rams of your sheep.  Gen 31:39 “That which was torn by beasts I did not bring to you, I myself bore the loss of it. You required it from my hand, whether stolen by day or stolen by night.  Gen 31:40 “Thus I was! By day the heat consumed me, and the frost by night, and my sleep fled from my eyes.   Gen 31:41 “These twenty years I have been in your house. I served you fourteen years for your two daughters, and six years for your flock, and you have changed my wages ten times.
Verse 31…..Yaʽaqoḇ answered and said to Laḇan, “Because I was afraid, for I said, ‘Lest you tear your daughters away from me.’ …..We see Ya’acov saying to Laban that he was afraid although יהוה told him to leave. We may ask why then was he afraid? Ya’acov represent the carnal nature, he has still to go a while before been called Israel this should we mark every time we read the Torah. Does יהוה speak to Ya’acov or to Israel? If wee follow this pattern we will see when יהוה speak to the carnal man Ya’acov or even his descendants mentioned by the same name or by Israel when speaking from the “man from above”. Knowing that we can also read that יהושע will reign over the physical descendants of Ya’acov, Israel:
Luk 1:31 and, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Yehoshua. Luk 1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and YHWH Elohim shall give unto him the throne of his father David: Luk 1:33 and he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Luke speaks of the House of Ya’acov, the carnal man, thus notifying that יהושע will reign over a physical Kingdom at the head of the House of Ya’acov. Wo is the House of Ya’acov is it not Israel?..... Verse 41, everything is again explained with numbers to make sure that there is no error or human thoughts in the account. Twenty: is 10 x 2 or two time the sum of all numbers, 7 x 2 is 14 or seven the number for divine perfection on earth for each of the wife Leah and Rachel, or the House of Yehudah and the House of Israel. And the number 6 for in 6 days were everything created or the number of man. After six, comes the Shabbat or “millennium”, thus bringing the all trials of Ya’acov to an end after twenty years before going back to the House of his father Itzahk. Is it not a picture of how it will be when יהושע after two thousand years will bring the all house of Ya’acov back to the place given to their fathers Abraham, Itzahk and Ya’acov? The final part of the chapter reflects the carnal nature of Ya’acov who has not yet fully overcome his carnal, becoming “Israel”. We will see in the next parsha how Ya’acov will be transformed and become the one who “prevail with El” “rules with El”. Ya’acov still uses deception to leave his uncle place. Gen 31:42 “Unless the Elohim of my father, the Elohim of Aḇraham and the Fear of Yitsḥaq, had been with me, you would now have sent me away empty-handed. Elohim has seen my affliction and the labour of my hands, and rendered judgment last night.”  Gen 31:43 and Laḇan answered and said to Yaʽaqoḇ, “These daughters are my daughters, and these children are my children, and this flock is my flock, and all that you see is mine. But what shall I do today to these, my daughters or to their children whom they have borne?  Gen 31:44 “and now, come, let us make a covenant, you and I, and it shall be a witness between you and me.”  Gen 31:45 so Yaʽaqoḇ took a stone and set it up as a standing column.  Gen 31:46 and Yaʽaqoḇ said to his brothers, “Gather stones.” And they took stones and made a heap, and they ate there on the heap.  Gen 31:47 and Laḇan called it Yeḡar Sahaḏutha, but Yaʽaqoḇ called it Galʽĕḏ.  Gen 31:48 and Laḇan said, “This heap is a witness between you and me today.” That is why its name was called Galʽĕḏ (witness heap),  Gen 31:49 also Mitspah (watchtower), because he said, “Let יהוה watch between you and me when we are out of each other’s sight.  Gen 31:50 “If you afflict my daughters, or if you take other wives besides my daughters, although no man is with us; see, Elohim is witness between you and me!”  Gen 31:51 And Laḇan said to Yaʽaqoḇ, “See this heap and see this standing column, which I have placed between you and me.  Gen 31:52 “This heap is a witness, and this standing column is a witness that I do not pass beyond this heap to you, and you do not pass beyond this heap and this standing column to me, for evil.  Gen 31:53 “The Elohim of Aḇraham, the Elohim of Naḥor, and the Elohim of their father rightly rule between us!” And Yaʽaqoḇ swore by the Fear of his father Yitsḥaq.  Gen 31:54 and Yaʽaqoḇ brought an offering on the mountain, and called his brothers to eat bread. and they ate bread and spent the night on the mountain.  Gen 31:55 and Laḇan rose up early in the morning, and kissed his sons and daughters and blessed them. And Laḇan left and returned to his place.   …..Chapter 32, Ya’acov is now free from his uncle and with his wives and concubine will go back to the land of his fathers. During these twenty years, Ya’acov has matured through tribulation and has overcome the world system (Laban’s house) and, will now face a new challenge which is not to be fight with flesh.......Gen 32:1 and Yaʽaqoḇ went on his way, and the messengers of Elohim met him.  Gen 32:2 and when Yaʽaqoḇ saw them, he said, “This is the camp of Elohim.” And he called the name of that place Maḥanayim (two camps).  Gen 32:3 and Yaʽaqoḇ sent messengers before him to Ěsaw his brother in the land of Sĕʽir, the field of Eḏom
Haftorah
Hos 12:13 and by a prophet יהוה brought Yisra’ĕl out of Mitsrayim, and by a prophet he was watched over.
Hos 12:14 Ephrayim has provoked most bitterly. So his Master left his blood-guilt on him, and repaid him for his reproach.   Hos 14:1 O Yisra’ĕl, return to יהוה your Elohim, for you have stumbled by your crookedness.
Hos 14:2 Take words with you, and return to יהוה. Say to Him, “Take away all crookedness, and accept what is good, and we render the bulls of our lips1. Footnote: 1Heb. 13:15 - bulls, referring to offerings.
Hos 14:3 “Ashshur does not save us. We do not ride on horses, nor ever again do we say to the work of our hands, ‘Our mighty ones.’ For the fatherless finds compassion in You.”  Hos 14:4 “I shall heal their backsliding, I shall love them spontaneously, for My displeasure has turned away from him.
Hos 14:5 “I shall be like the dew to Yisra’ĕl. He shall blossom like the lily, and cast out his roots like Leḇanon.
Hos 14:6 “His branches shall spread, and his splendour shall be like an olive tree, and his fragrance like Leḇanon.  Hos 14:7 “Those who dwell under his shadow shall return. They shall revive like grain, and blossom like the vine, and become as fragrant as the wine of Leḇanon.  Hos 14:8 “what more has Ephrayim to do with idols? It is I who answer and look after him. I am like a green cypress tree, your fruit comes from Me.” Hos 14:9 who is wise and understands these words, discerning and knows them? For the ways of יהוה are straight, and the righteous walk in them, but the transgressors stumble in them.
The prophet Hoshea is calling the House of Israel, Ephraim, back to יהוה.  ….יהושע went also to Gilead (Galid, the heap of witness) and found Nathan’el and Israelite in whom is no deceit! We can ponder about the meaning, seeing יהושע looking for those of the House of Israel the descendants from Rahel.
When Nathan’el recognized יהושע to be the Son of Elohim, יהושע gives two powerful declarations:
● 1st”Because I say to you, I saw you under the fig tree” this referring to the prophet Micah:
Mic 4:4 but each one shall sit under his vine and under his fig tree, with no one to make them afraid, for the mouth of יהוה of hosts has spoken.  Mic 4:5 for all the peoples walk, each one in the name of his mighty one, but we walk in the Name of יהוה our Elohim forever and ever
2nd. יהושע refers to the account of Ya’acov’s dream to tell Nathan’el that the middle Pillar is now there and the way to heaven is now open.
Joh 1:43 on the following day יהושע wished to go to Galil, and He found Philip and said to him, “Follow Me.”
Joh 1:44 and Philip was from Bĕyth Tsaiḏa, the city of Andri and Kĕpha.   Joh 1:45 Philip found Nethanĕ’l and said to him, “We have found Him whom Mosheh wrote of in the Torah, and the prophets: יהושע of Natsareth – the son of Yosĕph.”  Joh 1:46 and Nethanĕ’l said to him, “Is it possible for any good matter to come out of Natsareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.”  Joh 1:47 יהושע saw Nethanĕ’l coming toward Him, and said of him, “See, truly a Yisra’ĕlite, in whom is no deceit!”  Joh 1:48 Nethanĕ’l said to Him, “From where do You know me?” יהושע answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.”  Joh 1:49 Nethanĕ’l answered and said to Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of Elohim! You are the Sovereign of Yisra’ĕl!”  Joh 1:50 יהושע answered and said to him, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you believe? Greater than that you shall see”   Joh 1:51 and He said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, from now on you shall see the heaven opened, and the messengers of Elohim ascending and descending upon the Son of Aḏam.”

LET US MAKE MAN IN OUR OWN IMAGE

HOW TO UNDERSTAND B’RESHIT 1 :26-27
Daniel ben Ya’acov Ysrael
Gen 1:26  And Elohim said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the livestock, and over all the earth and over all the creeping creatures that creep on the earth.”
Gen 1:27  And Elohim created the man in His image, in the image of Elohim He created him – male and female He created them.
Many discussion have, and still run internet trying to give proof that “Jesus” or even Yeshua was with YHWH during the creation. Others will say that YHWH created the world with the “angels” and many other fancy ideas
I am going to demonstrate that all these errors come from the poor English or even French, German, Italian………… text, and that Elohim was alone in the creation.

First of all the Hebrew word for Elohim is a plural form of Eloha.
Yob 19:25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: 26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see Eloah (singular):
The masculine plural is the ending with « im ».
In English we read b’reshit 1:26 as: Elohim said, “Let Us make man in Our image
Nothing is said from the verbal form.
Now let us look at the verse 27 before going deeper:
“And Elohim created the man in His image,”……….
The image of Elohim is plural because Elohim is the plural form of Eloha.
The plural need a plural verb to indicate the action as we see with the same verb “to say” in another place:
Taken from the creation of Babel:
B’reshit 11 :3 And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter. 4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

וַיֹּאמְרוּ : and they are saying/ v’iamaru

When using the word “Elohim” for pagans power or even mankind the plural verb is used:
Psalm 82:
6 I have said, Ye are elohim; and all of you are children of the most High. 7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
« Ye are children » is the plural form of «he is”, the context in the psalm is plural “children”, and not “child”;
The Hebrew says:
Psa 82:6 אֲנִי-אָמַרְתִּי אֱלֹהִים אַתֶּם וּבְנֵי עֶלְיוֹן כֻּלְּכֶם:
« אָמַרְתִּי  I said (singular) » , referring to Elohim (verb in singular form)
« וּבְנֵי and sons of » referring to the children of Elohim
With that in mind let us look at b’reshit 1 :26-27
26 And Elohim said, Let us make man in our image,…………………………… 27 So Elohim created man in his own image, in the image of Elohim created he him; male and female created he them.

Verse 27 reflect the Hebrew:” Elohim created he (singular) him (Adam) ; male and female created he (Elohim) them (Adam).
וַיֹּאמֶר he is saying (singular), pointing to the One making the action :Elohim.
נַעֲשֶׂה we shall make (plural pointing to Elohim plural)
« male and female ». Elohim is male AND female
. When Elohim commanded Adam to multiply, he had need of a female counterpart  in order to procreate.
- The male nature of Elohim is Yehowah
- The female nature of Elohim is the Ruach (Spirit).
In Hebrew the word Ruach is feminine gender; and this is not by coincidence.
Man and woman reflect when united the perfect nature of Elohim: male AND female.
-Man role is  to command
-Woman role is to teach Torah and comfort the children in the family
Pro 6:20  My son, watch over your father’s command, And do not forsake the Torah of your mother.

Man need a woman in order to fulfill Yehowah commandment “to multiply”.
Now this is reflected in the nature of Elohim:
Gen 1:27  And Elohim created the man in His image, in the image of Elohim He created him – male and female He created them.
The image of Elohim is “male and female”, and Elohim is ONE (echad, singular).
Deu 6:4  “Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: יהוה our Elohim, יהוה is one!
The Hebrew word “echad” is not as some say a “compound unity” but simply means “one”:
Gen.1:
9 And Elohim said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one (echad) place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
Gen.4 : 19 And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one (echad) was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.
Gen.11 : 1 And the whole earth was of one (echad) language, and of one (echad) speech.

Ex.8 : 31 And YHWH did according to the word of Moses; and he removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people; there remained not one (echad).

They are many others examples to see that « echad » is used as « one » and soi t is concerning :

Deu 6:4  “Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: יהוה our Elohim, יהוה is one (echad)!
Conclusion:
