17 Parsha Yitro – Jethro -

Before we start to read, I want to stretch out a
important principle missed by too many people when reading the Torah. To get
the point, we need to ask ourselves what reason יהוה wants us to read again and
again the Torah.
The answer to this question will determine our
progress and transformation all along the years. Many brethren keeper of the
Shabbat say that the reading of the Torah
is not so important, it is enough to know the Ten Commandments, the Feast and Kosher law, having more pleasure in
vain debate concerning the pronunciation of the name of our heavenly Father and
of our Master during Shabbat, or even
as I have experienced to enter into philosophical debate concerning "what
is leavened or not", “can we travel during Shabbat” and other
questions. I say it in all humility
theses are vain and unprofitable debate bringing division in the assemblies,
because we must always turn to the Torah to
get our answer. Concerning the pronunciation of the Names, please read my
statement in the Parsha Heading. My
point is that if we know the Torah, we will have the right understanding to
such questions! The first principle is to accept that the Torah and the Brit Chadasha
(N.T) are one single "book"
each part having its own goal......
The Torah:
The foundation of our belief and overall plan of our heavenly Father besides
telling us about the historical facts and life of our forefathers.
The Brit
Chadasha: The final revelation of the Torah
and its benefit......
I will say it again and again that for those rejecting
theses points going their own ways, the result will be like a tree without
fruit. Two thousands years ago, the First disciples of Messiah יהושע walked as
Messiah walked, learning Torah during the Shabbat:
Act 15:21 for Moses of old time hath in every city
them that preach him, being read in the
synagogues every Sabbath day.................
What does it mean "Moshe
of old being read in the synagogues every
Shabbat"? Moshe was long dead, but present in the midst of the
people through the Torah reading
every Shabbat. The two places of
gathering was: The synagogue (Matt. 1:29, Luke 4:28, Acts 13:4, 17:10…), and
the House of some disciples (Rom.16:5, 1st Corint.16:19, Coloss.4:15,
Philem.2), falsely called "Church"
instead of Assembly as the Greek word
"Ekklesia" means. During the life of יהושע and after his departure to the Father this was the way to gather during the Shabbat for all those
following the Master steps. At the end of the first century, when all disciples
were dead, change took place until under Constantine the split between Jews and Christians was
established in order to build the Christian
belief apart from the true way of life. Everything Jewish was considered to be evil and against Christ (please take notice I don't write Messiah but Christ) at
this time called Iessou (not Jes-s). The Shabbat
is the time to learn Torah (divine
instruction), the week is the time to apply what we have learn, by
meditating day and night on what we have receive during the Shabbat. All those rejecting this
reality will not move forward and remain empty of understanding. Today in many
assemblies we find leaders who wish to be call Rabbi or Pastor having
not the Spirit (Ruach)¸for if they
had, they will not go into empty debates and argumentations. Since the day I started to learn Torah I refused to be called by any
name, but Brother. If יהוה want somebody in a position, it is easy to recognize it by his fruits!
QUESTION: How can I recognize somebody's fruits if I
don't know the Torah?
Now let us go back to the studying of Torah, for this
is the way of life to those that lay hold upon her (Proverbs 3:18). Remember Torah means: instruction...........
We have seen that the Children of Israel left Mitzrayim
(Egypt )
to go into the Wilderness to serve יהוה not to do whatever seemed good to them. This is the
first principle when living the World
system to follow יהושע not like Christians do
going their own way that is Ephraim's
way:
Hos 7:8 Ephraim,
he hath mixed himself among the people; Ephraim is a cake not turned……….Hos
7:11 Ephraim also is like a silly dove without
heart: they call to Egypt* (World system today), they go to Assyria*......*
EXPLANATION:
Egypt was
the place where all Children of Israel
including Ephraim were slaves!
Assyria
is the place where Elohim brought the House of Israel into captivity
because of their rebellion!
Hos 7:12
when they
shall go, I will spread my net* (send disciples with the Torah) upon them; I
will bring them down as the fowls of the heaven; I will chastise them, as their congregation hath heard...............*Net a euphemism for Torah. Hos 7:13 woe
unto them! For they have fled from me: destruction unto them! Because they have transgressed against me:
though I have redeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me.
Ephraim also
called the House of Israel is the Northern Kingdom who rebelled against יהוה after the split of the Kingdom at Salomon's death (1st King chapters 11-12) . The name
Ephraim comes from the first King of the
House of Ysrael who was Yeroboam from the tribe of Ephraim.
Hos 5:3 I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, thou committest whoredom, and Israel is
defiled. Hos 5:4 they
will not frame their doings to turn unto their Elohim: for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not
known YHWH. Hos 5:5 and
the pride of Israel doth
testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity*: Judah also
shall fall with them....... * Iniquity = transgression of the Torah!
Christianity is built on Ephraim's way, having made
their pastors and doctrines. יהוה call Ephraim "a cake not
turned" (Hos.7:8), in the Book of
Revelation, Yochanan (John) speak of the believers in Laodicea in a similar way Hoshea
does, but compare:
Hos 12:8 and Ephraim
said, yet I am become rich, I have found me out substance: in all my labours they shall find none
iniquity in me that were sin.
Rev 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. Rev 3:16. So then because thou art lukewarm, and
neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth Rev 3:17 because thou
sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing;
and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and
naked: Rev
3:18 I counsel thee to buy
of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be
clothed, and that the
shame of thy nakedness (iniquity) do
not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see..................
During forty years the Children of Israel, both Houses went into the Wilderness because of unbelief
and those who were twenty and more when they left Mitzrayim died in the Wilderness! Have you ever asked, what is
the connection between the forty years and our life today?
This is the interpretation: When we study Torah we will see that יהוה commanded the Children of
Israel to keep the Yovel (Jubilee) every
fifty years. The Yovel was made of
seven time seven Shemita years, a
period of seven years called rest.(Vayyiqra
chapter 25). The Yovel Year is a
year of release for all people and was proclaimed by יהושע reading the parasha in the synagogue during Shabbat.
Luk 4:14 and Yehoshua returned in the power of the
Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region
round about. Luk 4:15
and he
taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all. Luk 4:16 and
he came to Nazareth ,
where he had been brought up: and, as
his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up
for to read. Luk 4:17
and there
was delivered unto him the book of the
prophet Isaiah. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, Luk 4:18 The Spirit of
YHWH is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor;
he hath sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the
captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are
bruised,
Luk 4:19
To preach the acceptable year of YHWH. Luk 4:20
and he
closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the
eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. Luk 4:21 and
he began
to say unto them, this day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

The "acceptable
year of YHWH" is the Yovel Year!
If we make a research we will see that יהושע doesn't quote the full passage
from Yeshayahu (Isaiah) but left by
side the part: "the day of vengeance
of our Elohim", why? The question must be asked, and can only be
understand when we know what יהושע was proclaiming! When we study
the Yovel (Jubilee) in Vayyiqra chapter 25, we see that it
fulfils the requirements from Luke 4:18. More details will be given when we come to
the parasha concerned with the Yovel year. I want to go back to the forty years in the Wilderness. Those reading the parasha I write since the first chapter
of b'reshit will know that when we
read the Torah beside the historical
record of the life of our forefathers, we learn about our carnal nature, as it
is explained by Sha'ul to the
brethren in Corinth :
1Co 15:45 and so it is written, The first man Adam was
made a living soul; the last Adam (Yehoshua) was made a quickening spirit. 1Co 15:46 howbeit
that was not first which is spiritual,
but that which is natural; and afterward
that which is spiritual. 1Co 15:47
the first man is of the earth, earthy: the second
man is Yehoshua from heaven.
1Co 15:48
as is the
earthy, such are they also that are
earthy: and as is the heavenly, such
are they also that are heavenly. 1Co 15:49 and
as we have borne the image of the earthy, we
shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

Now this
I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of YHWH ;
neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.......
Sha'ul
speaks of two kinds of people, earthy and heavenly or spiritual. He goes farther saying the
first was not spiritual but carnal! The interpretation is this: All those
born before Messiah יהושע were carnal people exception for those
having been called of יהוה and the Ruach Haqodesh
(Set apart Spirit) been upon them and believed Elohim. When יהושע came, those following him received the Ruach HaQodesh at Shavuot
(Pentecost) after his departure to the Father (Acts chapter 1-2). Our
forefathers were carnal people without faith (trust in YHWH) and
thus died in the Wilderness. At this
point it is good to mention that the crossing of the Wilderness would have last only few days, but because of disobedience
they walked in circle! The forty years period: The spiritual
understanding of this period is that forty years represent forty Yovel or forty time fifty years, in
other words two thousands years, the period from the first advent of Messiah to his second coming on the
third day (third millennium). The repetition is spoken by King Salomon in the Book of Kohelet (Ecclesiast):
Ecc 1:9 the
thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no
new thing under the sun. Ecc 1:10
is there
any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? It hath been already of old time, which was before us.
.................. It is clear that the way we live now since Messiah came is the same as it was with Moshe and the Children of Israel. Two
thousand years with Messiah or forty
years with Moshe rebellion is
rebellion there is no difference. Christianity
as walked in rebellion since almost two thousand years. Who as the Ruach HaQodesh today, let me know if Christians have it?
Act 5:32 and we are his witnesses of these things;
and so is also the Holy Spirit, whom Elohim hath given to them that obey him.................
The only group of people to have received the Ruach HaQodesh is those that obey Him!
We can debate on it, but I tell you that we need to
search our heart to know if the Ruach dwells
in us, because all those rejecting
the Torah cannot have the Ruach
HaQodesh. You may ask why? Because the Torah
IS the Word of Elohim, the Torah IS the Word made flesh,
the Torah IS the Truth, if we break the Torah
we simply deny Yehovah AND Yehoshua le Living Word! Read Yeshyahu 55:10-11 and compare with Yochanan 1:1-5, 14. Acts:1:9, Rev.19:13
(the Word went back to the Father). It is not so simple because יהוה has sent the Ruach
HaQodesh into the all world to convince people. We know by the scriptures
that יהוה can use even unbelievers for his purpose. The purpose of the Ruach HaQodesh:
Joh 16:7 nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is
expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not
come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. Joh 16:8 and
when he is come, he* (the Ruach
HaQodesh) will reprove the world of sin,(breaking the Torah) and of
righteousness, and of judgment:
*We should read
"she" because the Hebrew word for "Spirit",
"Ruach" id feminine gender.
Joh 16:9
of sin, because they believe not on me;(we sin when we don't believe the Word of Elohim, and
Yehoshus IS the Word made flesh).
Joh 16:10
of
righteousness, because
I go to my Father*, and ye see me no more;

Hos 5:14 “For I am like a lion to Ephrayim, and like a young lion to the house
of Yehuḏah. I Myself tear them and go, I take them away, and there is no one to
deliver.
Hos 5:15 “I
(YHWH) shall go, I shall return to My place, until they confess their guilt and seek My face, in their distress
diligently search for Me, and say,
Hos 6:1 ‘Come, and let us turn back to יהוה.
For He has torn but He does heal us, He has stricken but He binds us up.
Hos 6:2 ‘After two days He shall revive us, on the
third day He shall raise us up, so that we live before Him.
Joh 16:11
of
judgment, because the prince of this world is judged..............
.יהושע in these words give clearly
the purpose of the coming of the Ruach
HaQodesh, let it be our meditation to understand the meaning.
Rebellion is always bound to judgment either in the Torah with our forefathers or with us
today. Unfortunately people today do not know how יהוה interact within creation because
they have never study the Tanak (Torah,
Prophets and Writings) thus been unable to discern. We have seen years ago
how in one hour thousands of people died in the Tzunami, today we have seen few days ago how more than two hundred
thousand people died in an earthquake in Haiti. These are called in the world
system nature disasters, but what
does יהושע says?
Mat 10:29 are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? And
one of them shall not fall on the ground
without your Father (knowing it).............
Can you understand, there is nothing happening in this
world without our heavenly Father having plan it (known)!
Amo 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and
the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and YHWH hath not done it?
Albert
Barnes writes: This is
the explanation of the preceding similes: God is the Author of all the
calamities which come upon you, and which are foretold by His prophets. The
evil of sin is from ourselves; the evil of trouble is from God, whoever be the
instruments.
Studying the Tanak
we find out that יהוה used wicked people to chastise His people when they rebelled
against the Torah. Beware it is not
because one nation dictate the law of democracy
for the all world that this nation is blessed
as it is understood by many Christians.
יהוה chose
Pharaoh to let the all world know that he alone is the true Elohim:
Rom 9:17 for the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even
for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee,
and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
יהוה used the Babylonians, the
Assyrians, the Medes, the Greek and the Romans to punish His people. Now
let me ask you a question: Do you think it is different today as Christians pretend because they say to
be "in the age of grace"?
If you think so, you have needs to explain following
verses:
Rev 7:9 after this I beheld, and, lo, a great
multitude, which no man could number,
of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne,
and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their
hands……………………………………..
Rev 7:14 and I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest and
he said to me, These are they which
came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white
in the blood of the Lamb............
Do you know who are these people coming out of the great tribulation in order to wash their
robe, garment to make them white in the blood of the Lamb? Have you ever asked
yourselves who these people came from? You need to enquire, not by men’s
doctrine but through the Torah! Why do I write all these things, what is the
relation with our today parahsa?
Nothing directly but more as we may think because if we are not able to see the
spiritual in the natural we will not be transformed as transformation come only
by the renewing of our mind.
Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the
mercies of YHWH, that ye present your
bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto YHWH, which is your
reasonable service. Rom 12:2
and be
not conformed to this world: but be ye
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that
good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of YHWH.
To present our
bodies a living sacrifice we need to know the Torah in order to know the condition how to approach Elohim when bringing sacrifice. The mind
is part of our soul containing our emotion and will. The only way to renew it is to replace older thoughts
with the Word of Torah. To be transform can only come from Torah learning. Now we can go to our
today's parasha and see what we can
learn. Please don't forget the Torah speaks about us (you and me)!
The Parasha “Yitro” bring us to the Ten Commandments which is the “Brit”, the contract marriage between יהוה and His people the Children of Israel (carnal man)
under Moshe’s leadership. I had read the first chapter of this parasha many times, without seeing what
the relationship between Yitro (Jethro),
and the Torah was. The book of Yasher gives us one single point, but do
not give much insight into Yitro’s
action in the life of the children of Israel . I found an interesting
commentary from Keil and Delitzsch
which I give back for reflexion:
Exo 18:1-5
The Amalekites had met Israel
with hostility, as the prototype of the
heathen who would strive against the
people and kingdom
of God . But Jethro,
the Midianitish priest, appeared immediately after in the camp of Israel, not
only as Moses' father-in-law, to bring back his wife and children, but also
with a joyful acknowledgement of all that Jehovah had done to the Israelites in
delivering them from Egypt, to offer burnt-offerings to the God of Israel, and
to celebrate a sacrificial meal with Moses, Aaron, and all the elders of
Israel; so that in the person of Jethro the
first-fruits of the heathen, who would hereafter seek the living God,
entered into religious fellowship with the people of God. As both the Amalekites and Midianites were descended from Abraham, and stood in blood-relationship to Israel ,
the different attitudes which they assumed towards the Israelites foreshadowed and typified the twofold
attitude which the heathen world would assume towards the kingdom of God .
(On Jethro, see Exo_2:18; on Moses' wife and sons, see Exo_2:21-22; and on the expression in Exo_18:2, “after he
had sent her back,” Exo_4:26.)
- Jethro came to Moses “into the
wilderness, where he encamped at the mount of God.” The mount of God is
Horeb (Exo_3:1);
and the place of encampment is Rephidim, at Horeb, i.e., at the spot where the
Sheikh valley opens into the plain of er Rahah (Exo_17:1). This part is designated as a wilderness; and
according to Robinson (1, pp. 130, 131) the district round this valley and
plain is “naked desert,” and “wild and desolate.” The occasion for Jethro the
priest to bring back to his son-in-law his wife and children was furnished by
the intelligence which had reached him, that Jehovah had brought Israel out of
Egypt (Exo_18:1),
and, as we may obviously supply, had led them to Horeb. When Moses sent his wife
and sons back to Jethro, he probably stipulated that they were to return to him
on the arrival of the Israelites at Horeb. For when God first called Moses at
Horeb, He foretold to him that Israel
would be brought to this mountain on its deliverance from Egypt (Exo_3:12).
Torah's
events are related to one another and therefore, we
need patience in our study.
Yitro
(Jethro) was related to Moshe
through Keturah, Abraham’s second wife, but the inheritance does not come through
these children, but through Itzahk. Median was one of the children Keturah had from Abraham after Sarah’s death.
Gen 25:1 Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name
was Keturah. Gen 25:2 and she bare
him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan ,
and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.
.......
The book of Yasher
explains that Yitro was serving as
priest in Pharaoh’s court, although related to Abraham’s descendants he was a
pagan who didn’t know יהוה.
The verse 5 tells
us that before this day, Yitro didn’t
know יהוה, but only by hearing. This is very important to know, as today
many people in the world know about “G-d” but do not know יהוה. (Compare Sh’mot 18:11). We see Keil and Deltzsch explain how יהוה interact in his unsearchable ways between pagans and
his children, Ya’acov’s descendants. It is interesting to know that the name Midian means “strife, contention”!
Yitro
didn’t come to plant his tent in Moshe’s
camp but remained outside the camp close to the Mount of Elohim Sh’mot.18:5.
The Mount of Elohim which is Horeb:
Exo 3:1
and Mosheh was shepherding the flock of Yithro his father-in-law, the priest of
Miḏyan. And he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to Ḥorĕḇ, the mountain of Elohim.
We see in sh’mot
18:2 that Yitro the “priest of
midian” (midian= strife) brought back Tsipporah,
Moshe’s wife and the two sons Gershon (meaning “because I have been a
sojourner in a foreign land) and El’iezer
(meaning, El will help). Tzipporah,
the name comes from the Hebrew word “tsaphar”
meaning “return”. …..
QUESTION:
Could it be in the “sod” (secret, hidden meaning) that
יהוה through Yitro's
action, unveil what will be later when the “Children
of Israel” i.e. Christians who will
be like pagans in a foreign land (Gershon), with El’s help (El’iezer) will return
(Tsaphar) to יהושע and follow the Torah? At least a remnant of them?
18:7 and Mosheh went out to meet his father-in-law, and bowed down, and kissed him. …..Moshe
listen to his Father in law in reverence to his position as the father of Tsipporah. יהושע also has
a son listened to His Father (Yochan.5:19-20, 30, 46). It looks like Yithro was a picture of the coming “pagan priest”, those among Christians, pictured here by “Tsipporah” who will come back to the
true worship and the Torah through יהושע Messiah
having left the false worship of “Jes-s”?
The children are pictured by the mother Tsipporah
(Tsaphar/return), the assembly by Gershon
and El’iezer (House of Yehudah and House of Israel). ….
You might be surprised but יהוה’s works are unsearchable:
Job 5:9 who is doing great and unsearchable deeds, innumerable wonders, .............
We should strive for understanding with an open heart.
Christianity follows after men’s
tradition and therefore remains blind, because they reject the truth. May be have you read my midrash on Wisdom which I
wrote after having read the Book of
Wisdom from Salomon. If it is the
case, the book explains that Wisdom doesn't
enter every vessel but only those having a clean heart!
Exo 18:11 “Now I know that יהוה is greater
than all the mighty ones,………..
What a statement! Yithro come to the knowledge of who is יהוה "greater than all mighty
ones (g-ds). Do you remember in our former parasha, Yithro was serving at Pharaoh's palace with Balaam and Yob (Job) as we have read in the Book of Yasher. They were used to worship many powerless g-ds but now Yithro came to see
the difference. Today all around the world (Egypt)
you will find people worshiping and serving g-ds who are powerless unable to
defend them, so that they are confused and full of fear when catastrophe
overtake them i.e. Roman Catholics who
worship statutes and Maria but also
many other religions blinded by doctrines of demons and philosophical men's religion like from the Dalaï Lama a Tibetan teacher today
honored by many rulers of the world.
Exo 18:12 Then Yithro, the father-in-law of Mosheh, brought a burnt offering and other slaughterings unto Elohim.
It is noteworthy to see that Yithro brought burn offering and slaughtering unto Elohim, although there was no Levitical priesthood at this time.
Sacrifices and offerings came with the Torah
with Adam
Gen 4:4 and Abel,
he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof and YHWH had respect unto Abel and to his
offering:
Exo 18:20 and thou
(Moshe) shalt teach them ordinances and laws (Torah), and shalt shew them
the way wherein they must walk, and the work that they must do.
Mat 13:54 and when He (יהושע) had come to His own country, He taught them in their congregation, so that they were
astonished and said, “Where did this One get this wisdom and miracles?
Mar 9:31 for He was teaching His disciples
and said to them, “The Son of Adam is being delivered into the hands of men,
and they shall kill Him. And having been killed, He shall rise the third day.”
Luk 19:47 and He
was teaching daily in the Set-apart Place (Temple). But the chief
priests, and the scribes, and the leaders of the people were seeking to destroy
Him,
Joh 7:14 and about the middle of the festival יהושע went up into the Set-apart Place (Temple ), and He was teaching.
Exo 18:21 “But you yourself, seek out from all the people able men, who fear Elohim, men of truth, hating unfair gain.
And place these over them to be
rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens………….
Compare: Act 6:1 and
in those days, when the disciples (taught ones) were increasing, there arose a
grumbling against the Heḇrews by the Hellenists (Greeks), because their widows
were overlooked in the daily serving. Act 6:2 so the twelve summoned the group of the
taught ones and said, “It is not pleasing for us to leave the Word of Elohim
and serve tables. Act 6:3 “Therefore, brothers, seek out from among you
seven men who are known to be filled with the Set-apart Spirit (Ruach
HaQodesh) and wisdom, whom we shall appoint for this duty, 1Ti 3:1 This
is a true saying, If a man desires the
office of a bishop*, he desireth a good work...................

that things to be done by others are done rightly, any curator, guardian or

*Husband of one wife. To
understand is not as many among believers even in the Messianic movement teach not to be divorced! In the disciples time
it was still found people having many wives as it was in the time of the
forefathers. With Messiah things had
now be brought back to the first
intention of the Torah: One man, one
wife!
Albert Barnes gives in one of his commentary following: It is
the most obvious meaning of the language, and it would doubtless be thus
understood by those to whom it was addressed. At a time when polygamy was not
uncommon, to say that a man should “have but one wife” would be naturally
understood as prohibiting polygamy.
there
was a special propriety in the prohibition, if understood as prohibiting
polygamy. It is known that it was
extensively practiced, and was not regarded as unlawful. Yet one design of the gospel was to restore the
marriage relation to its primitive condition; and though it might not have
seemed absolutely necessary to require
of every man who came into the (assembly) to
divorce his wives, if he had more than one, yet, in order to fix a brand on
this irregular practice, it might have been deemed desirable to require of the
ministers of the gospel that they should have but one wife. Thus the practice
of polygamy would gradually come to be regarded as dishonourable and improper,
and the example and influence of the ministry would tend to introduce correct
views in regard to the nature of this relation.
I
know that there are many explanations, even from Barnes but I refute all other opposed to what is understood by the
teaching of the Torah:
Gen 2:24 Therefore shall
a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife (singular not wives in plural
form): and they shall be one flesh.
Mat 19:3 The
Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful
for a man to put away his wife for every cause? Mat 19:4 and
he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at
the beginning made them male and female,
Did
יהושע taught
differently? Let us read:
Mat 19:5 and said, for
this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife:
and they twain shall be one flesh? Mat 19:6 Wherefore
they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore Elohim hath joined
together, let not man put asunder. .......
He
quoted the Book of B'reshit to
confirm יהוה first intention. Divorce was given by Moshe and is not as many
pretend a sin!
Mat 19:8 He saith unto
them, Moses because of the hardness of
your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning (b’reshit, Genesis) it was not so.
Myself,
I have been divorced and know that divorce cause a lot of harm. Ignorance can
be the root of many troubles, thanks be to יהוה our Elohim who has removed from us the price of sin (death) through Messiah יהושע! Please do
not look at a divorced person with eye of accusation for יהוה is the
judge of all man. Divorce is NOT sin! When
we come to Messiah יהושע the past is gone away and we become a new creature! We
can ponder over this statement from Sha'ul
in 2nd Corinthians: 2Co 5:17 Therefore if
any man be in the Messiah, he is a new creature: old things are passed away;
behold all things are become new. ......
Whatever has been in our life before has been blot out through Messiah יהושע!
2Co 5:21 for he hath made him to be sin for us, who
knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of YHWH in him................

Chapter 18: Exo 18:1
and Yithro, the priest of Miḏyan, Mosheh’s father-in-law, heard of all that
Elohim had done for Mosheh and for Yisra’ĕl His people, that יהוה had brought Yisra’ĕl out of
Mitsrayim....

Chapter
19.: This chapter is the time of preparation before
entering the “Brit”(marriage contract)
with the Elohim of Abraham, Itzahk and Ya’acov. We
will see how it points to the time between the first and the second coming of Messiah. Verse 1.The third month the children of Israel
had come out of the land of Mitsrayim (Egypt )…….
We know that the number three reflect the completion
of the present, past and future, the whole of something. Remember that the day
of departure of Egypt
was after having take part in the Pesach,
the Passover of יהוה. It pictures our redemption
through יהושע Messiah’s
sacrifice who is the Lamb of Elohim who takes our sins away. This is
also the starting point of our walk with יהוה, following יהושע in the
obedience of the Torah with the continual
rehearsal of יהוה's feast. They came to
the mountain in the third month which is the time of Shavuot fifty days after Pesach.
Verse 2. For they came out from Rephidim…….

The Hebrew name “Rehidim”
means: “rest”, “staying”, or “resting place”.
In the third month the children of Israel (carnal man) came from the
“resting place” and camped before the mountain. There Moshe went up to Elohim,
to listen what Elohim want him to
tell the children of Israel (carnal man). יהושע (the
Word) came from the “mountain” of Elohim which is the throne of Elohim to bring the Torah to יהוה’s people.

Psa 91:4 He covers you with His feathers, and under His wings you take refuge;
His truth is a shield and armour.
Mal
4:2 “But to you who
fear My Name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings. And you shall
go out and leap for joy like calves from the stall.
Rev 12:14 and the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, to fly into the wilderness
to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from
the presence of the serpent. The question remains, why the eagle, the
answer is given us by Moshe?
Deu 32:11 “As an eagle stirs up its nest, Flutters
over its young, Spreading out its wings, taking them up, Bearing them on its wings.
Wings are equal to Yehovah’s
protection. The eagle is a picture
of majesty and royalty, the eagle is considered to be the most powerful bird
and has no enemy in the bird’s world. The
Talit (fringes) which is wear by the Elohim's people is also said to be like
“wings” (Malachi 4:2).
Verses
5-6. if you diligently
obey My voice, and shall guard
My covenant, then you shall be My treasured possession above
all the peoples……….. and you shall
be to Me a reign of priests and a set-apart nation……
We see now Elohim
giving the conditions of following Him, to become “reign of priest” and a “set
apart nation”: obey, guard the Torah. Remember Moshe was commanded to bring the Children of Israel into the wilderness to serve Elohim. Christians
today refuse vehemently to follow the Torah
finding excuse in scripture misinterpretation like "we are not under the law", "save by grace" which
of course is right but in no case can go against the words spoken by יהושע as for example in Mattityahu
5:17. This is amazing as all the scriptures teach the other way round.
Obedience is the demonstration of our faith to יהוה through יהושע Messiah. We see the confirmation in Kefa’s (Peter) words quoting Moshe:

2:9 but you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a set-apart
nation, a people for a possession,
that you should proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into
His marvellous light,
Kefa
says in a present sentence not future. The moment we come to follow יהושע in the truth, which is to walk in the Torah, we become
member of the “set apart nation”, יהוה’s possession. This is also what Sha'ul says to the brethren in the book of Ephesians:
Eph
2:13 but now in Messiah יהושע you who once were far
off have been brought near by the blood of the Messiah. Eph 2:19 so then you are no longer strangers and
foreigners, but fellow citizens with the set-apart ones and members of the household of Elohim,........
The work of Messiah
is an everlasting work to restore יהוה’s people into the covenant (Torah).
Verse 19:8. all the people answered together
and said, “All that יהוה has spoken we shall do.”
The commitment was “all
that יהוה has
spoken we shall do”. This was binding upon the children of Israel . What do
we say when we come to Messiah? Are
we coming to do our own will or to follow him in the Torah?
Joh 14:15 “If you love Me, you shall guard (keep) My commands.
1Jn 5:3 for this is the love for Elohim, that we guard His commands,1and
His commands are not heavy
Verse 9: …..I am coming to you in the thick cloud……..
Why יהוה does came
in a thick cloud? The question may be asked because there is a meaning behind
it.
The cloud is hiding the full revelation of יהוה!
Act
1:9 and having said
this, while they were looking on, He was taken up, and a cloud hid Him from their sight.
The revelation came with יהושע who
revealed the Father to those who received him. The cloud is like the veil in
the face of Moshe which is removed in
Messiah (2nd Corint 3:15-16). Moshe was the forerunner who demonstrated
that the carnal man can’t do anything; only through Messiah can we follow יהוה’s will.
Do not think that the brethren from Yehudah are rejected, they are not and they
also will be joined into Ya’acov’s
family at the appointed time. Today many of them still have the “veil” which
will be removed when יהוה will pour out the “spirit of supplication” upon them,
which is starting now.........
Verses
10-11.…
יהוה said to Mosheh, “Go to the people
and set them apart (Qadosh) today
and tomorrow. And they shall wash
their garments,………and shall be
prepared by the third day. For on the third day יהוה shall come down upon Mount Sinai before the eyes of all the people.
Remember that the Torah
is the light to the right understanding of the Brit Chadasha, the “renewed covenant”.
Psa 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light
to my path................
Now let us see these two verses. Today and tomorrow, these are two days or we can say according to the New
Testament eschatology two thousand years. The
third day is a picture of the starting of the Millennium reign of Messiah. We have seen that it is very important
in order to understand, to look at the wording used by the apostles who were Torah observant. But before we go to the
Brit Chadasha (N.T.) let us look what
the prophet write:
Hos 6:2 ‘After two days He shall revive us, on the
third day He shall raise us up, so that we live before Him.
Hoshea
spoke for the future, but let us look further what is with the “washing of
garments”:
Rev 7:13 and one of the
elders responded, saying to me, “Who are these dressed in white robes, and where did they come from?” Rev 7:14
and I said to him, “Master, you know.”
And he said to me, “These are those coming
out of the great distress (tribulations), having washed their robes and
made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Zec 14:1 See, a day shall come for יהוה, and your
spoil shall be divided in your midst.
Zec 14:2 and I shall gather
all the gentiles (Goyim) to battle against Yerushalayim. and the city shall be taken,
the houses plundered, and the women ravished. Half of the city shall go into
exile, but the remnant of the people shall not be cut off from the city. Zec 14:3 and יהוה shall go forth, and He shall
fight against those gentiles, as He fights in the day of battle. Zec 14:4 and in that day His feet shall stand upon the Mount of Olives , which faces Yerushalayim on the
east. And the Mount of Olives shall be split
in two, from east to west, a very great valley, and half of the mountain shall
move toward the north and half of it toward the south. ………………
Do not make the mistake as many do thinking that יהושע is יהוה and that he will come down for this is not what the scripture
teaches. The Kingdom will return to יהוה at the
end of the Millennium or at the end
of the third day:
The prophet Hoshea
was a prophet to Ephraim, the House
of Israel
he wrote:
Hos 6:1 Come, and let us return unto YHWH: for he
hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.Hos 6:2 after
two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up,
and we shall live in his sight.............
Hoshea
prophesized between 743 and 722 B.C. or more then
seven hundred years before יהושע's birth! It is more amazing to
me when I read the Book of Revelation
which describes the time when the people of Elohim
will be in יהוה's presence:
Rev 21:3 and I heard a great voice out of heaven
saying, Behold, the tabernacle of YHWH is with men, and he will dwell with
them, and they shall be his people, and YHWH
himself shall be with them, and be their Elohim...................
Have you read: YHWH
himself shall be with them…….
So to understand we must read a difficult passage from
Aposte Sha'ul to those who shall
doubt and think that our Master יהושע is יהוה the Father:
1Co
15:24 then the end,
when He (Yehoshua), delivers up the reign to Elohim the Father, when He has brought to
naught all rule and all authority and power. 1Co 15:25 For He (יהושע) has to reign until He (Elohim) has put all enemies under His(Yehoshua) feet. 1Co 15:27 For “He (Elohim) has put all under His feet.” But when He (Elohim) says “all are put under Him (Yehoshua),” it is clear that He (Elohim) who put all under Him (Yehoshua) is excepted. 1Co 15:28 and when (after) all are made
subject to Him (Yehoshua), then the Son Himself shall also
be subject to Him (יהוה) who put all under Him (Yehoshua), in order that Elohim be all in
all.
I hope these verses will now be clear to you, so that
you can see that only after יהושע has
become subjected to “Him”, the Father יהוה, everything will have been
restored as it was at the creation. The timing will be at the end of the
Millennium, the third day. We read again:
Rev
21:1 and I saw a renewed heaven and a renewed earth,
for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no
more. Rev
21:2 and I, Yoḥanan,
saw the set-apart city, renewed Yerushalayim, coming down out of the heaven
from Elohim, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Rev 21:3 and I heard a loud voice from the heaven saying, “See, the Booth of Elohim is with men, and He
shall dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and Elohim Himself shall
be with them and be their Elohim. ........
Humm! this sound like another passage, but let us
read:
Gen 3:8 And they heard the sound of יהוה
Elohim walking about in the garden in the cool of the day, and Aḏam and his wife hid themselves from the presence
of יהוה
Elohim among the trees of the garden.
It looks like Adam and Chawah were directly living
closer to Elohim presence to hear his voice?
The verse 10 show us clearly that the people of יהוה must be made “set
apart” or “Qadosh’ during the two
first day or the two thousand years from the coming of יהושע and wash
their garments in order to stand in יהוה's presence. יהוה will be among his people on the third day as we read
in Revelation 21:3 when יהושע will have turned the Kingdom to the Father. HalleluYah!
Verses
16-20.
These verses must be read in the context of the Brit Chadasha in order to see the whole
picture from the natural to the spiritual. We know and understand that יהושע came to reveal the Father to the House of Ya’acov, to those near (Yehudin or Jews) and those far off (Ephraim, the House of Israel ). The
feasts of יהוה herald the plan of redemption for יהוה’s people. After Pesach we see 50 days later Shavuot also called the Feats of weeks or Pentecost which come from the Greek word “pentekonta” meaning “fifty”. Act 2:2 and suddenly there came a sound from the
heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind,
and it filled all the house where
they were sitting. Act 2:3 and there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and settled on
each one of them. Act 2:4 and they were all filled with the Set-apart
Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them to
speak.
This marks the time of the beginning of two days for יהוה’s people to be set apart, and wash their garments, before יהושע comes to establish יהוה’s Kingdom on earth. With Moshe it marks the marriage between יהוה and his people this marriage will be sealed with the
acceptance of the “Brit”, the
marriage contract (Sh’mot/Ex.24:7),
the Ten Commandments, by saying “all
that יהוה has spoken, we will do”. Later we will see that they
will rebel and reject the “Brit”, the
covenant.
Today all followers of יהושע have
entered the marriage contract and are bound to follow יהוה’s Torah to the best of their ability. The day Messiah will come back
he will take יהוה’s bride as the Bridegroom.

month after the children of Yisra’ĕl had come out of the land of Mitsrayim ,
on this day they came to the Wilderness of Sinai....

Chapter
20.: In the original document there is no separation
between chapters or verses. We see this chapter start with “and” which
demonstrate this sentence is part of the verse 25 from Sh’mot 19. We have now the Ten Commandments as “Brit” (covenant) given to the
Children of Israel. These commandments are divided in two parts. יהושע was asked of the Pharisee
which of commandments are the greatest, and he answered:
Mat 22:36 “Teacher, which is the great command in the
Torah?”
Mat 22:37 and יהושע said to
him, “You shall love יהוה your Elohim with all your heart,
and with all your being, and with all your mind.’ Mat 22:38 “This is the first and great command. Mat 22:39 “And the second is like it, ‘You shall love
your neighbour as yourself.’ Mat 22:40 “On these two commands hang all
the Torah and the Prophets.”
Unfortunately, Christianity
has made doctrines out of these verses saying that יהושע has
reduced the Ten Commandments to two commandments and from this Christians do not have to keep the
Torah, or the Shabbat. It is enough to “love”
‘G-d” and to “love” “his neighbor”. This is why among Christians you see so many hypocrites who tell you when you come to
their assembly: “brother, sister I love
you”! In some congregation you see the Pastor at the entrance door of the
“church” waiting for the people and great them with a “love kiss” or shaking
hands with “we love you”, we are happy to see you! Of course they all bring good
money in the Pastor’s storehouse! You think I am wrong? Is it what יהושע has in mind when he says to “’Love you neighbor as
yourself”? Is the love spoken by יהושע the same
love as the one in the mouth of Christians and Pastors from Christianity, just read?
1Jn
5:2 by this we know
that we love the children of Elohim,
when we love Elohim and guard His
commands. 1Jn 5:3 For this
is the love for Elohim, that we guard His commands,1 and
His commands are not heavy,
Yochanan
connect the love to the neighbor, the children of Elohim with loving Elohim,
demonstrated by guarding the
commandments! To love his neighbor is part of the Torah mitzvoth (commandments)
it is not a “new Testament commandment”:
Lev 19:18 ‘Do not take vengeance or bear a grudge
against the children of your people. And you
shall love your neighbour as yourself. I am יהוה.
We see both Yeshua in his famous “Golden Rule” passage
of Matthew 7:12, “Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do
to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.” Paul
echoes this concept in Romans 13:8, “Love does not do harm to a neighbour
therefore love is the fullness of the Torah.” Love is the foundation and
quintessential concept behind the Torah-law of Elohim.(Nathan Lawrence from
Hoshana Rabbah). The
Torah tells us how to react toward our neighbors in different cases
- To care
for one another, - To avoid to gossip,
or not to be a talebearer and many other mitzvoth which are specific to loving
our neighbors……………..
To Love יהוה according to the Ten
Commandments:
#1-
Know that יהוה is alone Elohim
and our deliverer from our spiritual Egypt .
#2-
Do not make any carved image and do not bow to them (removed from the Roman
Catholic Church in their catechism). No statues of any kind or small images to
be worship.
#3-
Do not bring the name of יהוה to
naught. All around the world Christianity
call “Lord”, “G-d”, “Jesus” the Jews
say “HaShem”, the Muslim “Alah” In the Philippines “Gineo” in France they say “Seigneur” which is like “Signore” but do not sanctify the Name of
יהוה.

Keep the Shabbat. To keep Shabbat it is from sunset to sunset. Many
congregations have a “look like Shabbat” but do what they want. There is some
denomination today that leaves the Shabbat day to turn to the “Sunday worship”,
joining themselves to the Roman Catholic
ecumenist movement.
We found the
foundation of love in the Second part of the Ten Commandments from number 5
to number 10. ….To love his neighbor as
ourselves in the P'shat (literal) level

All the
rest is expounded in the Torah.
The Roman
Catholic Church has removed the third Commandments and made the Tenth in
two parts.
They didn’t remove the keeping of the day of rest, the
Shabbat, because in their crookedness, they changed the Shabbat day, the seven
day to the “Sunday” worship, under Constantine in 325 C .E. The fifth commandment, to love his father and
mother has been misunderstood by many. This does not make somebody slave from
parents who will not recognize יהוה or יהושע and go after Christianity
or other “g-ds”. The word used here in Hebrew is the word “kabad” which mean to show respect as it is given in the
“scripture” translation. To respect our
parents is to speak of them with respect, not to gossip against them or bring
story against them. It doesn’t mean that we have to do what they tell us if
they reject the Torah! We have the
example of Abraham who left is family
at יהוה’s command. Terah, Abraham’s father was an idolater and Abraham left him……
Jos 24:2 and Yehoshua (son of Nun) said to all the
people, “Thus said יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, ‘Long ago
your fathers dwelt beyond the River – Teraḥ,
the father of Aḇraham and the father of Naḥor.
And they served other mighty ones. Jos 24:3 ‘So I took your father Aḇraham from beyond the River, and caused him to go through all the land of Kenaʽan ,
and multiplied his offspring and gave him Yitsḥaq.
Abram rebuked his father for
idolatry as we can read in the book of Yasher.

Today the all world has turned to their “g-ds” mammon
and many others.
Verses
18-19: The people were afraid because of their carnal nature;
they were not ready and turned to Moshe
as a mediator. This is very interesting as we can read from יהושע:
Gal 3:19 Why, then, the Torah? It was added because
of transgressions, until the Seed should come to whom the promise was made. And
it was ordained through messengers in
the hand of a mediator. (Moshe)...1Ti 2:5 For there is one Elohim,1 and one Mediator between Elohim
and men, the Man Messiah יהושע. .Once
again we see the parallel between Moshe and יהושע, the first was the mediator for
the Children of Israel (carnal man)
and the second the mediator of the promise.
Heb 9:15 and because of this He (יהושע) is the Mediator of a (re)new(ed) covenant, so that, death having
taken place for redemption of the
transgressions under the first covenant, those who are called might receive
the promise of the everlasting inheritance.
Ten
Commandments: Exo 20:1 and Elohim spoke all these Words, saying,...
Exo 20:23 ‘You do not make besides Me mighty ones of silver, and you do not make mighty ones of gold for yourselves.

Haftorah
In the Haftorah
we see the prophet Yeshayahu who is
also afraid, having “seen” יהוה Zebaoth as he was in a vision. He
is also chosen of יהוה to
talk to the people. Here a commentary from Natan
Lawrence from Hoshana Rabbah.
Some commentators believe that Isaiah saw his vision
while in the Temple in Jerusalem, which does not explain why or how he was
allowed in there (Soncino Pentateuch), while others say that he was only
shown a vision (similar to the vision of Ezekiel) of the Merkavah or the
heavenly court where the angels pay homage to Elohim (ArtScroll Chumash).
....1 6:1, In the year that king Uzziah died. Uzziah was the king of Judah who imperiously marched into
YHVH’s Temple (hekal) and profaned it when he illegally offered incense
therein—something only the priests were allowed to do. YHVH immediately struck
him with leprosy. He remained a leper until the day of his death (2 Chr 26:16–23). It was after this
sordid desecration of the Temple
that Isaiah had his vision, which marked the beginning of his
forty-odd-year-long ministry. 2 6:4, The house was filled with smoke. The Hebrew word for smoke is ashan/IAG/ayin-shin-nun sofit (Strong’s
H6227) and derives from a root word (Strong’s H6225, same Hebrew
spelling) meaning “to fume, to be angry,
furious or wroth.” The ArtScroll
Chumash states that this was a sign to Isaiah from YHVH that the Kingdom of Judah
was going downhill toward destruction and exile (p. 1155). Although Yotham, Uzziah’s son, was a righteous king who reigned for 16 years, Ahaz, his son, was another corrupt and
idolatrous king for which words of rebuke were not long in coming from the lips
of Isaiah. From Isaiah 6:1 to 7:1,
sixteen, years pass, and no mention is made of Yotham. YHVH expresses his anger in the Temple vision, than begins to speak about a
spiritually hard-hearted people who refuse to see, listen or comprehend the
error of their ways. As a result, their enemies would soon afterwards ravage
their land and take them into captivity (6:8–13), but there is no mention of Yotham and the short interlude of this
righteous king. Why was this not worthy of mention? Despite being a righteous
king (2 Chr 27:2), did much really change spiritually in the land of Judah ? Can
a leader of a nation, although professing to be a Bible-believing and “God-fearing”
man, be in reality vapid and vacuous, lacking in real fruits of righteousness
as evidence of his claims? Is our nation in this place right now? .......Is YHVH
fuming over the state of our so-called “Christian”
nations that has all but turned its back on YHVH—from the church houses, to the
state house, to the court house all the way to the house of Congress and the
White House? Furthermore, what foreign elements are beginning to a take over
our land, culture and religion today in this nation so that Bible-believing and
YHVH-fearing individuals are becoming strangers in their own land? 3. Despite the wickedness of Ahaz, YHVH still gave him ample
opportunity to repent and to acknowledge
the Creator’s involvements in the affairs of men. Is YHVH presently giving
our “Christian” nation, and perhaps
even the nation of Israel ,
that same opportunity before he “lowers the boom” of his judgment on us—or is
this just the idle speculation a fringe element of folks who are obsessed with
end-time prophetic and apocalyptic scenarios and who take Bible prophecy too
seriously? 4 Though judgment was (is) coming upon Judah
(America and Israel ?), YHVH
through the prophet Isaiah gives a message of hope, restoration and redemption
through his Messianic prophecies that follow. Read the rest of Isaiah chapter
seven, along with portions of chapters eight and nine and identify the
prophetic Messianic passages found therein and relate them to Yeshua.
Isa 6:1 In the year
that Sovereign Uzziyahu died, I saw יהוה sitting on a
throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the Hĕḵal (Temple ). Isa 6:2 above it
stood seraphim. Each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two
he covered his feet, and with two he flew.
Isa 6:3 and one cried to another and
said, “Set-apart, set-apart, set-apart is יהוה of hosts; all the earth is filled
with His esteem!” Isa 6:4 and the posts of the door were
shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke. Isa 6:5 and I said, “Woe to me, for I am
undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a
people of unclean lips – for my eyes have seen the Sovereign, יהוה of hosts.” Isa 6:6 and one of the seraphim flew to
me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the
altar.
Isa 6:7 and he touched my mouth with it,
and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your crookedness is taken away, and
your sin is covered.” Isa 6:8 and I heard the voice of יהוה, saying,
“Whom do I send, and who would go for Us?” And I said, “Here am I! Send me.”
Isa 6:9 and He said, “Go, and you shall
say to this people, ‘Hearing, you hear, but do not understand; and seeing, you
see, but do not know.’ Isa 6:10 “Make the heart of this people
fat, and their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes,
and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and shall turn and
be healed.”
Isa 6:11 Then I said, “יהוה, until
when?” And He answered, “Until the cities are laid waste and without
inhabitant, and the houses are without a man, and the land is laid waste, a
ruin, Isa 6:12 and יהוה has removed men far away, and the
forsaken places be many in the midst of the land. Isa 6:13 “But still, there is a tenth
part in it, and it shall again be for a burning, like a terebinth tree and like
an oak, whose stump remains when it is cut down. The set-apart seed is its
stump!” Isa 7:1 and it came to be in the days of Aḥaz son of Yotham,
son of Uzziyahu, sovereign of Yehuḏah, that Retsin sovereign of Aram and
Peqaḥ son of Remalyahu, sovereign of Yisra’ĕl, went up to Yerushalayim to
fight against it, but could not prevail against it. Isa 7:2 and it was reported to the house of Dawiḏ, saying, “Aram has set up
camp in Ephrayim.” And his heart and the heart of his people were moved as the
trees of the forest are moved with the wind. Isa 7:3 and יהוה said to Yeshayahu, “Go out now to
meet Aḥaz, you and She’ar-Yashuḇ your son, at the end of the channel of the
upper pool, on the highway of the Launderer’s Field,
Isa 7:4 and say to him, ‘Take heed, and
be calm; do not fear or be faint-hearted for these two stubs of smoking
firebrands, for the fierce displeasure of Retsin and Aram, and the son of
Remalyahu.
Isa 7:5 ‘Because Aram , Ephrayim,
and the son of Remalyahu have plotted evil against you, saying,
Isa 7:6 “Let us go up against Yehuḏah
and tear it apart, and break it open for ourselves, and set a sovereign over
them, the son of Taḇe’ĕl.”
Isa 9:5
for every boot of one trampling in tumult, and coat rolled in blood, shall be
used for burning and fuel of fire.
Isa
9:6 for a
Child shall be born unto us, a Son shall be given unto us, and the rule is on
His shoulder. And His Name is called Wonder, Counsellor, Strong Ěl, Father of
Continuity, Prince of Peace.
9:6 The
Hebrew read: Pele yoez el Gibbor abid ad sar shalom (masoretic text) meaning: That is wonderful in counsel is El the
mighty the everlasting Father the ruler of peace.
Read so it is not so easy to take this verse to be
prophetic for (Jesus) even if it is
possible but not as to be G-d!
